Pros: The owners were friendly and helpful, the breakfast choice and quality was particularly good. The location was good for our requirements. Pros: Location was brilliant and nice and quiet. It was in the middle of the countryside but still near Verwood for pubs, chemists and not far from the Dorset coast but at the same time it didn't feel as if the place was on the tourist map, nice and quiet.
Cons: Only issue was trying to find it in the first place but other than that, excellent. My wife had a concern about sharing the bathroom with visitors from another room.

Pros: Wonderful location and being able to sit in the garden was great. Jim and Terri were very friendly and accommodating and the perfect hosts. Good restaurants, pubs and supermarkets nearby. Continental breakfast in the garden on the Sunday morning was a particular highlight. We will definitely try to stay here again as we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and for value for money it can't be beaten.
Cons: Not a criticism but an observation - the mattresses were a little too soft for me. This would not put me off going back. A shared bathroom might put some people off but for us was not a problem.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely area in the countryside. Nice and quiet. More cottage than farm so no animal smell. Jim the owner couldn't do enough for us. We even had an air conditioning unit in the bedroom. Thank you, we enjoying our brief but nice visit.
Cons: No issues

8.3 Excellent
Cons: Only a blind on the window which let in too much light early morning. General lighting in the room was very poor.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Food good, staff friendly
Cons: We had a 'premium room'. It was over the kitchen and the noise and vibrations went on until after 9 pm and started again before breakfast. If we had had another option we would have left. There was also a problem with sewage/drains - non of this was handled very well when mentioned.
7.5 Good
Pros: Dinner was just OK; breakfast much better.
Cons: The promise of phone service with Vodafone alone did not materialise, and that's a problem! I reported it and they "promised to check"!

Cons: Nothing.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Easy access to coast and inland. Central location. Janet, the landlady, was very friendly and obliging. Continental breakfast lovely - freshly cut fruit salad, good variety of cereals, boiled eggs, tomatoes and ham and lots of lovely toast with variety of preserves.
Cons: Bathroom en-suite was a bit small, but was clean and the shower was very good.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The friendliness of the owners. Nicely decorated, clean and lots of lotions and potions available in the bathroom.
Cons: Unfortunately I woke up at 5am from the sun coming through and around the curtains due to th ere being no blackout linings, and couldn’t get back to sleep. Heard every noise after that - someone’s shower sounded as loud as if it was in my room. There’s no room sound proofing at all, and the handle on the aluminium window was loose so window didn’t close properly, also letting noise in (on a busy road - which, as I didn’t know the area, I underestimated the noise level). Told the lady about the window handle.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The continental breakfast was superb, and the bed very comfortable.
Cons: The stairs were a tad steep!

Cons: Everything met our needs.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was exellent. Continental but true Continental, with cerials, hard boiled eggs, ham, fruit, yogart, toast and a selection of preserves. The whole place was spotless, warm and comfortable. Janet the landlady, was friendly, helpful and a realy nice person all round. For other meals, its only a few minutes walk from the Dorset Soldier and the food there is excellent and the right price.
Cons: Apart from the fact I was in Corfe Mullen for a funeral, everything was great.

Cons: A small problem with our en-suite shower, but once I told them it was corrected.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were so friendly and very helpful and although we had to move caravans as we had no electricity we were helped by the young lady who told me she was an artist. We were given a free continental breakfast to compensate which was very nice. Even though the other lady had been doing extra shifts and was obviously tired was so friendly and helpful and we had a few laughs with her. We will certainly return as soon as possible. We were given a huge fire bbq to cook on in the evenings which was great fun.
Cons: The only complaint we had was the Web site was misleading it stated fully equipped kitchen unfortunately all though we had a cold box of food to cook the kitchens are not connected . We also took our own bedding which according to the website was necessary but beds were made and lovely soft towels provided.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The site was so quiet and relaxing. Everyone was very friendly. The facilities were lovely and spotlessly clean. The staff do an amazing job with the site. Thanks for a lovely stay.
Cons: There were a few things missing from the tent that the website suggested we would automatically have (e.g. fire pit, cutlery), but you only had to go and ask and it was sorted instantly.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Friendly helpful staff (especially Janice) great facilities (pool, sauna and jacuzzi) You don't need to leave the place (we didn't) as you can get good home cooked food for dinner and light meals during the day. Lovely grounds to walk around. Great place to relax and recharge the batteries.
Cons: Not keen on plastic glasses in the room and dining room but understand why if there is a chance they can be taken poolside.
4.3 Okay
Pros: Staff helpful
Cons: Misleading description of accommodation instead of a chalet with a shared bathroom it was a 2 bedroom tent with a shared shower block
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything, bed linen wonderfully soft and comfy bed, breakfasts gorgeous, facilities clean and accessible, Jacuzzi, sauna and pool amazing. Loved the staff and managers
Cons: We had an amazing couple of nights here over the bank Holiday. A very warm welcome at reception so felt right at home immediately. Absolutely loved the smashing facilities and staff. Norman cooked us gorgeous breakfasts and a wonderful dinner on the Monday night. I simply cannot wait to come back and thoroughly recommend for a couple or group or simply a single for a chill out. Wonderfully peaceful and very clean and the friendliness of the staff was fantastic. Norman recommended some great places to visit and was an absolute top top host who looked after us very well indeed. Has been my most favourite break!!!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Albion. Thanks to the lovely staff at the Hotel and the Restaurant it was a treat to stay there. The food in the Restaurant was first class we were booked in for breakfast but we also went for dinner Too. Well done.
Cons: Just a little noisy being at the front but we have come all the way from Australia and our sleep pattern was out of wack anyhow and besides not a lot you could have done about traffic noise but it certainly didnt ruin our time there
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Dinner was very good. Lovely restaurant and garden, staff very nice, and reasonably priced menu
Cons: Breakfast at The Olive Tree was disappointing - long wait for English breakfast, though restaurant wasn't very busy. I wouldn't say it was very English as the streaky bacon was smoked and crisp - it was rock hard, difficult to chew, came with saute potatoes which were small new potatoes, practically raw. Didn't enjoy the cooked breakfast at all. No coffee as machine was broken.

Pros: Extremely helpful and would definitely stay again here
8.8 Excellent
Pros: the entire property is immaculate - cleanliness is superb - the bed was extremely comfortable, breakfast was good - and well cooked - the hosts are friendly and chatty but not in an intrusive way -very relaxed.
Cons: this is a very personal thing - if you are a city dweller -I AM NOT - road noise would not be an issue, but at front of property is a very busy road.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Cleaniness, Breakfast, Friendly welcome from owner.
Cons: As we are both not young anymore, I always try to book a downstairs bedroom, this was not possible at this location. The owners helped us in every way they possibly could, for which we were most grateful.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: A lovely clean and well presented B&B. Room was nicely decorated in modern green/grey colours with matching "shabby chic" furniture. All linen and towels were lovely and fresh and of a good quality. Breakfast was very good with cereals, fresh fruit, seeds, etc. and Claire's special "chilli and peppers" scrambled eggs!
Cons: Sorry, but the noise from the road outside (main Wimborne to Poole road) was just too much for us with sleep impossible after 6am as the "rush hour" traffic picked up. Shame, because everything else was really nice.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The bed was excellent
Cons: NOTHING. The whole experience was excellent - friendly hosts, excellent food, excellent house beautifully clean. I have been visiting my sister in Wimborne with my brother for many many years. I feel this couple and their house was outstanding. Very conveniently situated, easy parking and very easy to find. The cleanliness of this house was superb. In actual fact you could not fault anything.
9.5 Excellent
Cons: Would have preferred a walk in shower rather than over bath

7.5 Good
Pros: The hotel is a country house with stunning formal gardens. it had been furnished beautifully and it feels like a home in a good way. it has some lovely seating areas downstairs and another on the first floor and a great bar. The bedrooms are small but again well furnished and the beds and pillows are probably the most comfortable i have ever slept in, including my own bed at home!
Cons: There are a few niggles i had considering how much they are charging for the rooms and the restaurant. the bar staff were not very attentive and i felt like i was having a drink in a pub garden rather than a 5 star hotel. The restaurant is good and the menu was ok but it is a small menu and 2 of the dishes were risotto which i dont like so left me with only a few dishes to choose from. my husbands fish was not great, although mine and my daughters choices were good. i would also expect the waiter or waitress to have a knowledge of the wines when you are in a 5 star hotel but they don't seem to. a very small issue which normally i wouldnt even mention, but when you are paying £275 per night i feel everything should be perfect. My overhead light in the bathroom didn't work and when i called downstairs to ask if it was maybe something i was doing wrong they said it wasnt working and they were aware of it. it was too dark to use the mirror which was tricky for putting on your make up. i would have liked to think that if they were aware of this they should have mentioned it to us when showing us to the room. overall it is a lovely hotel but i think a little over priced.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: 10 Castle Street treat their guests with care and consideration and make the visit special with their personal contact and attention to detail.
Cons: It was all fine.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Location, staff and property
Cons: Another guest’s dog wandering round tables when we were eating dinner and breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely location, great gardens and well kept. The peace and quiet was a real bonus. The staff were all very attentive. The hotel was packed with character. If you are looking for a relaxing stay, this is the place to be.
Cons: leaving
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Amazing place would definitely come back
Cons: No pool or gym
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous unique grade 2* hotel, curated outstanding art collection, beautiful gardens, rooms beautifully appointed, very comfortable beds, eclectic decoration throughout, delicious breakfast. Welcoming and generous owners, made to feel very welcome. Roaring fires. Relaxing, comfortable, luxurious what more can I say loved it. Tried to book following night but understandably no rooms available. Will definitely return. Loved surrounding villages and countryside.
Cons: Nothing.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The house was very nice, staff very friendly
Cons: The bed was a little soft for my taste
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The grounds are impeccable. Food is delicious and Julie the host was a diamond.
Cons: The waiters in the restaurant could have been more attentive. Additional trainng is possibly needed.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: The surrounding area was really tranquil and away from the husky and bustle
Cons: The service was so bad that it ruined the entire ambience of this really lovely property. Leaving guests to The mercy of totally untrained staff who did not even know how to open a bottle of wine let alone pour it was just the tip of the iceberg. No sight or sound of a manager anywhere. The food was very disappointing too. Burned bread rolls served, food not cooked properly, plates not cleared before the next dish was delivered etc. Rooms were not checked and the basic things one would expect in a £400 a night hotel like hand soap, a hairdryer etc. had to be requested from reception - if you could find someone there in the first place. This was the worst service I have ever experienced in any hotel in all my travels across many countries - it perhaps works as a wedding venue where it can be staffed with students who know nothing about catering or hospitality or quality of service. We would definitely NOT recommend this hotel unless you suffer with low blood pressure - it was just an absolute joke and rip off!!! Our friends and us left totally disappointed - a totally unprofessional set up and 10 Castle Street is NOT to be visited ever again by us nor recommended to any of our friends.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Just amazing. Great food, fantastic grounds. Can’t wait to go back.

Pros: The bed was SO comfortable and the facilities of a high standard. The one suggestion I have is perhaps a mirror in the bedroom, as the only one at present is in the bathroom.

7.0 Good
Pros: Lovely welcome. Good selection of quality drinks. Bar area seating and decor v nice. Decor of rooms good, nice interior design touches. Excellent location for the town.
Cons: Rooms needed better lighting and mirrors. Slightly run down from outside. Evening meal small portions for the money. Ran out of choices off menu and brought out at different times.

8.3 Excellent

Cons: No information leaflet in the room. Long wait for cooked breakfast and restock of breakfast items.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Have stayed there before and wasn’t disappointed with the second visit. It’s beautifully presented pub with lovely rooms that are immaculate. Great food, knowledgable staff and everyone’s very friendly. Would defiantly go back again.
Cons: Only couple of negatives if you have a problem with stairs, climbing up them might be a stretch to far, BUT it is so worth the climb. Car park opposite you pay for BUT again it was 80p for three hours.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful friendly staff. Clean tidy rooms (it was exceptionally warm so I had a fan to use) Just relaxing friendly place to make you feel at home.
Cons: Windows not staying open, but they are old and to be expected,

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location perfect, encouraging an evening stroll to explore this attractive town. The staff were superb especially serving evening meal which had a good varied menu and our choices were excellent.
Cons: Breakfast could have been better. Bacon overcooked so difficult to cut. It wasn't easy for me to manage the self service hot drinks, and yes, I am elderly.
6.3 Good
Pros: Very well situated in a lovely market town, lots of local shops and some eateries.
Cons: Staff seemed a bit vacant - for example, nobody at reception when checking in, then waited 10 minutes to be seated for dinner, waited ages for someone to take a breakfast order - and then got the wrong egg. Silly things but not really on top of things. It was incredibly hot that weekend, which they can’t do much about, but worth knowing (if it matters to other travellers) there’s no air con. Room needed basic repairs - toilet roll holder had been ripped from the wall, big hole in the plasterwork, toilet roll just left on the side. Could easily be fixed, just looked ugly and as if nobody much cares.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location & breakfast.
Cons: Room 15 - Dirty water bubbling up the waste pipe into the bath - happened several times - we were moved to room 17. Room 17 had a creaky floor & the water drained very very slowly from the sink in the bathroom. Several times we struggled to park in the hotel car park. The hotel should issue paying guests with a permit to park in the hotel car park which could be left in your car for a check to be made by the hotel staff.

Pros: Stayed here for the second year running for the great Dorset chilli festival. This hotel is in an excellent location. The town is lovely. Plenty of pubs and restaurants to go at. The hotel facilities were as good as last time. Breakfast was lovely. Good service from start to the end of our stay. Would definitely come back again
Cons: Only one little complaint. The sash widow in our room didn’t stay open but a little tip is to fill a bottle of water up and prop the window open.

Pros: Nice staff, good evening meal and breakfast.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, location and location The atmosphere and family feeling Angela and her team are amazing!
5.0 Okay
Pros: The bed was really comfy and the location was great
Cons: The shower didn’t work correctly. The breakfast was not good at all! All the food was dripping in oil, there was eggshell in the egg, the staff started putting the drinks and food away before we had finished breakfast so we couldn’t refill our refillable drinks. The restaurant had cobwebs around the doorways and corners of the rooms aswell
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Recently decorated bathroom. Staff were very helpful. Very comfortable bed.
Cons: My friend in another bedroom couldn't sleep with the noise of the generator going off and on. Continuus would have been better. The room was very hot and my fan which I wanted to put in the window to suck in the cool air didn't have a long enough lead. We couldn't park in your car park. A large "white" van had spread itself over two spaces and the staff had no record as to whom it belonged. There wasn't enough parking and it was only when two diners left were we able to park. I had asked for two single beds and the double had been made up but the staff were helpful and made up the convertible settee which my friend found comfortable. Although things started off with problems your lady manager solved them all.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The Hotel was very good and value for money.
Cons: Our room was quite big and=d the beds were comfortable but the room was very stuffy, when we arrived there was a small fan on in the room which was not big enough for the size of the room.
