Pros: Rustic quality. Main dining and bar area remind me of something that Ernest Hemingway would have travelled to in the 1940"s!
Pros: Amazing place! Paradise!
Pros: The location is perfect. Breakfast at the restaurant's open palapa with ocean view was amazing. The whole place is very nice, quiet, ideal for relaxation and a good escape. The only con: I found the hotel to be quite pricy for its "rustic" or simple (though certainly comfortable) installations.
Cons: The high rate.
Pros: Costa was fabulous!! The service was excellent and it is such a relaxing and pleasant place to be. We will definitely be returning.
Pros: Loved the peacefulness of the place and the staff was truly great and friendly.
Cons: Could have sprayed for bugs better and we didn't have hot water for the first few days. I asked if they had hot water and they said, "Yes." The next day we still didn't have hot water. My husband ran the shower for 20 minutes and still no hot water. I went to the bar and told them we did not have hot water. Then they came and lit the hot water heater. I'm thinking they might want to do that right away when you check in.
Pros: We enjoyed the atmosphere provided by the cabins a couple of meters from the sea. We loved to see the wind mill providing clean energy to Costa de Cocos 24/7. A real eco-touristic destination with coral reefs, mangroves and the Chetumal Bay to enjoy.
Cons: We think the food served at the restaurant can be improved in terms of presentation.
Pros: Excellent getaway from it all location, Comfortable clean room, Friendly and helpful staff, Great food.
Pros: Friendly waiter! Due to the wind from the ocean there are almost no mosquitos and the temperature at night is very comfortable as the bungalow windows aren't fully closed and the wind can pass through. Kayaks are included with the room and you can use them to get further out to the ocean for swimming etc.
Cons: The linen on the beds smelled old and musty, even after having them changed. WiFi is only available in the dining room and not always stable.
Pros: It rained the time we were there so we didn't see much. The rooms were simple but fine. The guys in the restaurant were great, breakfast was delicious. The beach in front of the hotel wasn't awesome, but there were nice spots to sit on the grass near the sea.
Pros: Peaceful and quiet, like Mexico of 35 years ago. The setting is superb, with comfortable spacious cabana's nestled among the palm trees. Our 3 hour boat and snorkel excursion was the highlight of this trip. We took a tour directly from our dock out to clear waters,a nice size reef, plentiful colorful fish and even a lobster shedding it's shell, along with a Darth Vader like sting Ray on a calm sea.
Cons: For the price, please get new pillows! They were flat and lumpy. The biting bugs around the restaurant area were many..bring and wear deet repellent. I had no problem with bugs on the rest of the grounds or in the cabana.
