When you stay at Coconut Beach Resort in Tavewa Island, you'll be within the region of Sawa-I-Lau Caves. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services and an elevator (lift). A ferry terminal shuttle is available for a surcharge.
Pros: If you are looking for your home in paradise, you found it. It feels like one small family - staff welcomes you with a first song and a coconut on the beach when arriving by boat. This won‘t be the last song you hear, as they perform every evening before and sometimes after dinner, until the farewell song before your departure. The activities offered were great - we enjoyed complimentary yoga every morning, free lessons of language, basket weaving, coconut opening, cava tasting, traditional dancing, crab racing and other activities with an extra fee, such as massage, snorkeling trips, a cave & village visit, etc. You can also explore the island on your own with a beach walk or by hiking/running up to the mountain. The rooms are very comfortable, each with a huge & clean outdoor bathroom and a hammock facing the beach.
Cons: The mandatory mealplan could be more flexible. The food offered is delicious and perfect for „normal eaters“, but it is way too much (and expensive) for people who are not used to eat so much. A mealplan „light“ would be much appreciated. Due to the wind, the room was quite noisy especially in the night - but you have to get used to it on islands. Also the beachfront of the hotel was very windy - we switched to the southside of the island.
Pros: Everything is beautiful and amazing. Staffs here are friendly, food here is nice, beach house is comfortable and tidy... We can have activities on the board or choose what we want from the guide book. Staffs here are really good at singing and dancing. We will definitely go to Coconut beach resort again. This is a remarkable memory to us.
Pros: Amazing staff! Amazing service! Amazing food! Amazing everything!
Pros: all good, beautiful beach and good place for snorkeling.5 hours by boat from mainland or u can choose flyer but cost much more money. The hotel is so hospitalized and considerate, send me 3 emails to note me the transfers and details. If u enjoy the outside island,it’s a wonderful place to stay and relax yourself, everything will be good.
Cons: Actually,a convenient and souvenir store will be more helpful.but the hotel offers enough items. If u just wanna experience the activities as much as u can,I suggest stay in the mainland and book the activities at the port, because this can get much more varieties, much more than u expected and more than any other outside islands can offer.
Pros: It was amazing getting to know the staff and other guests, everyone was so lovely and provided service beyond expectations. The setting is beautiful and the food was amazing. Also great if you just want to watch sunset or go snorkelling without anybody around. Stunning.
Pros: staff is very nice and helpful, the property is a good value and have a good meals. There have a lots of coconut tree in the surrounding, good to take a photos in there, feeling relaxing when I'm stayed here. The staffs will singing song when you arrive and departure. This resort also have a different event in a daily.
Cons: no skydiving just feels a bit disappointed. sometime, there have a stronger wind but this can't control. The resort is quite a far away to take the ferry from Denarau Island
Pros: The location, the food, the drinks, the bure, the staff, the hospitality, the beach, the swimming, the snorkelling, the kayaking, the paddle-boarding, the coconut demonstration, the kava ceremony, the morning yoga sessions, the massages, the entertainment, the music and singing -we loved it all! Especially loved learning about the coconut tree of life. This is an outstanding resort with a focus on living sustainably within the ecosystem in which it is located, which we loved, run by a team of exceptional staff dedicated to making your stay exactly what you've been dreaming of!
Pros: Staff are very friendly and helpful. Sea view is incomparable. The best place for snorkeling divers.
Cons: Rooms with no air-con are a little bit hot, but it is understandable as it is too far away from main island and resource is really limited.
Pros: The staff was amazing, kindness and lovely. They made those days unforgettable for us. The bungalow was full of details and very big. You wake up listening the waves in the beach.
Cons: we would have liked to have been there more days.
Pros: The staff, food, location, everything was spectacular. It's one of the best places I've ever been. If you need some relax, look no further.
Cons: The booking process via booking.com didn't highlight properly the meal cost
When you stay at Blue Lagoon Beach Resort in Nacula Island, you'll be on the beach and within the vicinity of Devil's Beach and Long Beach. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, luggage storage, and a safe deposit box at the front desk.
Pros: Stunning location, amazing food.
Cons: Nothing - it was pretty perfect
Pros: Food average to good. The fish was always dry and overcooked
Cons: chips are made from potatoe not root crops such as taro Always think of the customers
Pros: They made it so well that even though there is a lot of people it never feels like it. And there was always and activity you could join.
Cons: Hard to say, we loved our stay !
Pros: The beach had it's own coral reef that offered fantastic snorkeling. The staff was unbelievably friendly and helpful.
Pros: The location. The staff. The food. The accommodation. Could not fault anything.
Cons: Nothing! It was perfect
Pros: Friendly staff. Location superb. Food was good and with variety
Cons: Almost no wifi .... and weak 3G network.
Pros: Great location. Villas were nicely positioned within the resort
Pros: Nice beach.
Cons: Having spent a week at the Octopus 3 years ago which was fantastic, we were really looking forward to spending 8 nights at the Blue Lagoon as both resorts are owned by the same company. There is no comparison between these resorts and we will never go back nor could we recommend this resort to anyone. There is a real problem at this resort, almost everyone was getting stomach cramps, diarrhoea and vomiting. The food was worse than a bad school camp. There is no fresh fish available – the kitchen staff told us that all the fish was frozen and sent over from the mainland. There was little in the way of fresh fruit and vegetables, the omelettes were made with sundried tomato. Salads had some lettuce, minimal tomato and no cucumber, salads were “bulked up” with leftover vegetables and eggs from breakfast and canned beans. There were no traditional Fijian dishes on the menu except “Kokoda” which was a joke, a plate full of diced carrots and corn with 3 pieces of rubbery fish in soupy coconut cream with no flavour – disgusting. If you like tasteless fried western food, fly infested buffets with lukewarm food, frozen or canned food and plastic wrapped processed cheese you will love it. I spoke to the manager privately and he did not take any responsibility for the illness of the guests or the state of the meals, his response was to deflect the blame. Why can the Octopus and Paradise Cove Resorts provide beautiful food for the same/similar price/s and yet the Blue Lagoon cannot – is a manager trying to cut costs? There was a real issue with cleanliness especially in the dining area, we saw a mouse behind the buffet and when staff dropped cutlery on the floor they just picked it up and put if back on the table. This is not a cheap resort, you could forgive the tired accommodation as the location is nice, and there were some lovely Fijian staff, however if you go to a resort with a meal plan you do not expect to be hungry every day because the food is so bad.
Pros: Beautiful natural setting and location Food was amazing Very friendly and helpful staff
Cons: Strict meals timing. No food/snack between breakfast and lunch apart from crips.
With a stay at Nanuya Island Resort in Nanuya Lailai Island, you'll be on the beach and close to Devil's Beach. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, luggage storage, and laundry facilities.
Pros: The view from our treetop bure was absolutely amazing
Pros: The room flt quite budget and was far less put together than other places we stayed while in Fiji. Nanuya was one of the more expensive places we stayed but one of the least enjoyable. Bit upset that there was no pool and the food was not very good, but there was no other option on the island. Had to send back an eggs benedict as it was inedible. Feels awful to say as the people were all really lovely...but the food was some of the owrst we had on the island.
Pros: The view from the balcony was amazing. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable.
Cons: Would be good if there was a pool. The choice of meal was bit bored and a little bit pricey. But you would expect that as it is a rather remote island.
Pros: Very nice sea view, few corals and fishes, not so much to see around. You can relax on the sunset view in a mid range resort.
Cons: The room on the top of the hill was little, expecially the bad (very short), the view very nice. The saddest breakfast ever had in Fiji (the tropical breakfast included in the price). Little attention to snorkel and suba diving. I will not suggest it
Pros: The views from the bure were stunning, very peaceful resort with good facilities. The island is just right size to walk around and across.
Cons: Not too easy and comfortable to reach by the boat, it took close to five hours to get there and ride is a bit bumpy. We took the seaplane back which was much more pleasant option and worth of additional cost. Weather can also be very windy and that causes some serious noise when it's blowing through the windows of the bure.
Cons: Fabulous views from the tree house bures
Pros: Amazing views from the treetop bure. Highly recommend asking for this kind of accommodation. You can stay on your balcony to admire sunsets - breathtaking. Delicious crab salad. Friendly staff who are making your stay great.
Cons: Aircon in a bure would be nice to add. During wind, the entrance door is making a noise.
Pros: Everything was perfect. Staff really friendly and perfect location for snorkeling.
Pros: Beautiful location.
Cons: After an incident in our room. We felt a bit like we were causing trouble for the staff. They were not one bit sorry. We got moved to a villa but we waited for ages and felt so uncomfortable being asked 5 times are we okay and to take a seat. When it was lashing rain. Dinner was on. We were starved. And needed showers. Also waited 1hr and 40 mins for our dinner on our first night stay.
Pros: Staffa are super friendly and hospitable, they made you feel like home. The Bur room provides fantastic view of ocean, but need climb 3 mins steps, lucky enough that we no need to take our luggage. Highly recommend Bure room 6! The food is good and price is ok, average FJ$35- 40 for a dish. You have no other options beside dining at hotel. We enjoy great snorkeling and kayak at there. The best thing is that they do not have too much room and adults only, so you can enjoy very peaceful and quiet time. The Bur room is simple and clean, you got everything you need. They have free kava ceremony.
Cons: The breakfast is very limited option, only provide fruits, toast and cereal. You need to pay extra to get hot breakfast. We are “forced” to join FJ$99 buffet for dinner as there has no ala carts menu for dinner on that day.
With a stay at Boathouse Nanuya in Nanuya Lailai Island, you'll be on the beach and close to Devil's Beach. Featured amenities include laundry facilities and a safe deposit box at the front desk.
Pros: Staff was above amazing! Make sure to do the cave tour through the activities center!
Cons: Between the maintenance crew and the fisherman staying at the resort, there was a lot of noise outside our room beginning pretty early in the morning.
Pros: The beach,the reception aria
Cons: The room was overheated ,38 degree even if the air conditioning was on.
Pros: Wow! We have been travelling for 8 months and this has been the best service. The food was different and delicious every night, the band had amazing voices and Luke made sure we were always ok. Special mention to Nai and Vilise for being so warm and friendly, we hope to see them again one day! A massive thank you to all the staff for a magical week.
Pros: Beautiful setting
Cons: Beach outlook
Pros: The room was very clean and comfortable. Lovely décor. All the staff were polite, most were very friendly and personable. The food was excellent. The sea and beach areas were pristine and beautiful with good snorkeling. It felt like most staff did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable. The bar area, beach front, and gardens were beautifully maintained. We liked the daily riddle and information board.
Cons: The division between the boathouse and the main more expensive resort was strange. This meant on several occasions (we were in the boathouse) we would go to one desk(say at the boathouse) and be told to go to the main resort and vice versa. It would be helpful to have a phone in the main reception for contacts needed out of hours. On the bottom of the welcome letter (we didn't see this but we're notified by staff later) the owners phone number is there to contact after hours if needed. But even if we had seen it, being here on holiday abroad we had no phone. The air-conditioning unit outside our room malfunctioned overnight and was very noisy meaning we only had a couple of hours sleep, we were unable to contact staff overnight for help. It would be helpful if the hotel considered this for the future. Given our overnight lack of sleep it would have been good to have some acknowledgement of our experience in the form of giving us an extra meal, not having to pay our laundry or a free drink.
Pros: Location, activities and specially the staff who were very welcoming, friendly and very helpful at whatever we need.
Cons: Nothing really. As opportunity for improvement the breakfast could have more fruit options and cheese.
Pros: The food is better than other places we visited in Fiji The staff is kind (but is it really sincere)
Cons: Too far from Denarau for a beautiful place but not an amazing one The meal plan which is an obligation for Boathouse guests and not for Nanuya Island ressort guests. Nevertheless it’s profitable for 109 dollars. Check in is very very long .... about 45 minutes !!!! This is not a good value ! Too expensive for the benefit. And Nanuya ressort is worse ! About 1000 dollars for not so much more than in Boathouse. We went here to avoid Mamanucas mass tourism but it was not much better :( For the same price you can visit paradise in New Caledonia ...
Pros: Entertainment was good
Cons: Far too noisy, all day especially staff yelling early in morning. Staff too intrusive on personal questions eg our ages
Pros: Staff is amazing. There is still a reef to snorkel but not much left. Beach is really beautiful. Great beach beds with shade to relax.
Cons: Not much variety of ala carte meals. Basic breakfast.
Ocean adventures await at this property, which is by the sea and set on its own private white sand beach within easy reach of ecotours. Regional attractions also include Sawa-I-Lau Caves.
Cons: Too many insects in the room
Cons: It is quite a trip to Yasawa but worth the extra time and cost getting there
Pros: Unbeatable location advantage with gorgeous beaches
Cons: Passionate staff, wonderful activities with Fijian culture rooted
Pros: Some of the staff was very nice and welcoming and the manager was helpful. Bungalows are spacious. Request the seafood platter, it was great. Scuba diving is good as well
Cons: Property needs major renovation. The bungalow was not very clean and looked worn and tired. Unfortunately the staff is not properly trained. For example you need to ask 2-3 times before things get done. There was not enough choice from the menu especially if you don’t eat fried or unhealthy food. They need buggies because a lot of the roads are not paved so it gets muddy when it rains. No gym Terrible wifi with no access to anything you can download so if it rains which was most of our stay there’s not much to do.
When you stay at Sunrise Lagoon Homestay in Nanuya Lailai Island, you'll be by the ocean and 5 minutes by foot from Devil's Beach. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, luggage storage, and laundry facilities.
Pros: A big thank you to Lice and Posada for this wonderful stay. The place has a great atmosphere, the people are very welcoming and friendly. The food was amazing!! and always plentiful.
Cons: There were not many comfortable outdoor seating possibilities.
Pros: It is like home away from home. On a nice small beach. Excellent location 20 minutes beautiful walk away over stunning hills to a Resort with top coffee if u need your daily fix and famous blue lagoon movie beach and snorkelling.
Pros: After the resorts in the Yasawa Islands, staying with this family was really nice. You eat with the family and listen to Chief's stories in the evening. The walk across the island to the Blue Lagoon is stunning if a bit long at 30 minutes.
Cons: Facilities are basic. Cold water showers and the like. As long as you know to expect that as I did, you'll be fine.
Pros: Share the life with the family. The ambiance with everybody, it’s like a big family with all the other tourist. It was amazing.
Cons: I like everything
Pros: Incredible experience to live in a real Fijian village. Peaceful, quiet, full of nature, amazing view of the see and welcoming like only a family can give to you!!!
Pros: The family environment and food made my experience excellent.
Cons: I wish I stayes longer :)
Pros: Everything was perfect ! The family is very friendly. A beautiful beach is just in front of the homestay and the beach of blue lagoon is at 20 minutes walk from there. Snorkeling +++ I had the chance to assist at a fidji show. Stories of Grand Pa +++ I just regret one thing : it was too short and I would have wanted to stay longer ! The paradise is there.
Pros: Location was great. Meals were a good serving. Cheap alternative to staying at other properties.
Cons: Poor communication from staff throughout the stay. Didn’t cater for dietary requirements. Tourists kept in one area, away from local people so not really a homestay. Asked about doing a trip, and it never happened.
Pros: The food was excellent and plentiful. Nice group of travellers. Had long stay guests that seemed happy with it.
Cons: This is on the exposed side of the island so this was for our 4 days stay not really a lagoon as you would expect from the name. The walk to the blue lagoon is more like 30-40 minutes but is nice except when it rains it is a muddy and slippery. It all depends on your expectations, if you are looking for a cheap stay in a nice global region and can deal with the domineering presence of the head of the family, you will be fine. Otherwise there is better althought more expensive homestay. During our stay of 4 days none of the activities were offered, maybe because of the weather.
Pros: Good location, excellent hosts, very good meals. Definitely recommend, though if you're after a 4 or 5 star accomodation then this place may not be for you. Beach on the doorstep, though conditions are usually better at Blue Lagoon which is an easy approx 30 minute walk. Also there you will find a small shop and bar. Close access to nearby Islands. Certainly hope to return sometime. Many vinakas!!!
Cons: Price of bottled water and alcohol on the Island.
Located in Tavewa Island, Coralview Island Resort is connected to a shopping center and within the vicinity of Devil's Beach and Long Beach. Featured amenities include laundry facilities and a safe deposit box at the front desk.
