9.6 Excellent
Pros: Country with kind people and comfortable rooms as well as excellent hospitality.
Cons: I can’t say anything that I did not like about it. Maybe not the place to be if you want city, but a great escape getaway!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location, within the national park.....lovely villages and surrounding area! View of the Abbey is fabulous. Hosts very stressed on arrival due to workmen repairing damage to a room, from the previous day and didn't want us to park the car. However they were welcoming when we returned after spending time walking around the abbey and village.
Cons: We were prepared for the Abbey bells sounding at 7am and expected 7 chimes for the time......however be aware it goes on for ages!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location in a quiet village next to the Abbey.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Would definitely recommend staying at this lovely B and B . The room was spacious with a really comfortable bed and lovely bathroom. It was nice to find they supplied a fan for hot weather . We were welcomed with a drink and had use of a fridge freezer if we needed it. The breakfast had everything you needed to set you up for the day . Fruit, yogurt ,honey , jams , cheese, cold meat , granola , croissants , bread, eggs and lovely coffee and even doughnuts. Would not hesitate staying here again.
Cons: Can't think of anything
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We really enjoyed the stay at Les Hostises. Our host was warmhearted and very helpful. We got a welcome glass of wine upon arrival, and also ordered a dinner for us, which consisted of three plates that were all very good. The rooms are spacious enough, clean and light. The bed was extremely comfortable. You get a nice view on the cathedral (which does ring its bells at 7 a.m. though, be aware). The breakfast had lots of options to offer, including fresh local cheeses and fruit, as well as home made cakes – a different one each day. WiFi was working well, too. The location is quiet, and it's a good starting point for exploring Rouen or its surroundings.
Cons: I cannot think of anything. The walls are a little thin, but we didn't have issues with noise from other guests or the house itself.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: There is safe private parking on the premises. We had a room with a beautiful view of the church next door. This was our first night in France . It was a very comfortable room, large and updated, and perfect for us to re-organize and get a good night’s sleep. This hotel is located within just a few miles of some very ancient and impressive Abbeys. It’s a very pastoral area to drive around. The staff was extremely nice and accommodating. Breakfast was very good. We will definitely consider this establishment on future trips.
Cons: Nothing. All was great.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was very pleasant stay. Very clean rooms and house on the whole. Hostess is very kind and welcoming lady. Quiet nice atmosphere of the house neighbored to the abbey. Pleasant moment in the breakfast - hand made home style fresh cakes. Free parking on the territory, opened even in the late evening (we arrived every day around 11 p.m. after travel in Normandy), is a comfortable facility.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This great B&B is located right aside a remarkable Abby, the view from our room was amazing and the English speaking host was welcoming as well! Also nice breakfast.
Cons: Nothing! :)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owners were delightful and very accommodating. They provided us with a superb evening meal even though we hadn’t booked in advance. Our room was very comfortable and breakfast was very good. The area is very picturesque. We would highly recommend this accommodation and hope to stay there again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely property in a really nice village around 10-15mins drive from Roen. We booked the property to visit Roen & Monet's garden but didn't want to stay in a large city, & this was perfect for our needs, Very nice & helpfull couple who run the property, lovely breakfast & we had a nice evening meal one night at short notice.
Cons: Very quiet area, we stayed Sun & Mon which is when most restaurants are closed so if you like a choice of restaurants without travelling too far you may prefer somewhere busier.

Pros: We had one overnight stay in the superior room upstairs: it was excellent; very clean, lovely bathroom, and spacious. Breakfast was excellent with host's home made jams. Location is excellent: quiet and rural, but easy to find in a lovely picturesque town. Would definitely recommend. very good value for money.
Cons: Nothing: all excellent
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We enjoyed our night stay here and the village location was so French, and so quiet. Brigette was so friendly even although it was hard to understand us, we got there. The house was an excellent piece of hard work by her and her husband. Breakfast was just what we required for our long journey home.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Brigette is a superb host and made us feel like we were staying with family!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent rural accommodation, within walking distance of beautiful Saint-Martin-de-Boscherville village with it’s stunning Abbey. The Superior double room has a very comfy large double bed ensuring a good night’s sleep. Delicious continental breakfast with hosts homemade jam and freshly squeezed orange juice, which is a nice touch. Brigette was a warm and welcoming host in their beautifully renovated property, which in the past was a cider press. We stayed over 2 night’s and can highly recommend it.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was very well presented and more than ample for starting the day of travelling. Home made preserves were available, overall an excellent breakfast. The bed was also so comfortable, I slept through the night for the first time in years.
Cons: The local area restaurant and Pub close early so it was necessary to travel to the nearby town to eat. Be prepared in advance for this. Not a big problem, just a little inconvenient.
6.3 Good
Pros: Very pretty gardens and peaceful The owner was welcoming and tried her best to accommodate every request
Cons: Unfortunately there was no fridge in the rooms which when it’s hot would be useful for water and wine etc... The owner was friendly but spoke very little English and was a little stern about not eating in the rooms and refused use of the washing machine that was in our bathroom. Also check in states 6pm which is too late although we did arrive early and we were let into our rooms.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful house in a beautiful location. We were welcomed with a lovely smile and a warm cup of tea. Breakfast was just right with fresh bread, croissants and wonderful homemade jams with freshly squeezed orange juice to wash it down. The house had well kept gardens which unfortunately we did not have time to use. Maybe next time! She happily made a phone call to book a restaurant for us in nearby Duclair. What a fantastic recommendation, the food was delicious and the location overlooking the Seine made it even better. Overall, a very comfortable stay.
Cons: If I was being picky I would have liked fluffy towels and more pillows but it didn’t spoil the stay.

Pros: This was a gem of a find ... we arrived after quite a long journey to be greeted by smiling faces and typical french hospitality. The breakfast included fresh breads form the town and Annie's homemade jams. Pascal asked us if we liked cheese and then produced the local produce.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Pascual and Annie, the owners and hosts, are very friendly and made us feel at home. The view from the bedroom overlooking the Seine is wonderful. Duclair turned out to be a very interesting small town which when coming from the south is reached by what I think is the last Seine vehicle ferry operating. The river front and town square are attractive places to visit especially on Monday mornings when there is a market which has existed almost 1000 years.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent

Pros: The couple who own the property were very welcoming and accommodating. The apartment was nicely decorated and the tea/coffee tray very appreciated. The fridge was very useful too. Lovely French style breakfast with some homemade jams. Would stay again if in the area.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was large, clean and very comfortable with excellent facilities including fridge and microwave. We really enjoyed having the balcony, where we ate a picnic dinner watching the shipping on the Seine. Our hosts are a delightful couple and Madame's homemade jams were delicious, as was the rest of breakfast. And the room had a "magic" TV, which appeared to show England winning a World Cup match.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful house and gardens spacious and lovely bedroom
Cons: Lack of a fridge for guest use
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This place was quite stunningly beautiful. Annie is an interior design genius, and the whole house, plus beautiful garden is incredibly restful, tastefully decorated and hugely relaxing.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The facilities. The friendliness and helpfulness of the owner, Annie. She goes out of her way to help her guests. The breakfasts are superb.
Cons: Our room had a bath with hand held shower. Although very nice, we prefer a walk-in shower. The wardrobe could have been larger.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: It’s a wonderful B&B in a wonderful bucolic setting, yet rooms are fully equipped with all comforts. The breakfast is simply amazing, with a selection of mini pastries, home-made crepes, ready-made bacon and eggs. The host is lovely.
Cons: Of course you need a car to travel around (and you can park in the b&b’s garden), but Rouen city center is only 15/20 minutes by car.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What beautiful place.........amazing
Cons: Superb. Lovely private courtyard attached to room.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: A lovely house in open countryside near the river. Views across open fields towards the river. We stayed here becuase we wnated somewhere to stay near Rouen but not in the city. It took about 20 minutes to drive to the B&B which is what we expected. A nearby village, 10 minutes drive away had several restaurants where we had our evening meal.
Cons: No extractor fan in the shower room so unless you opened the bathroom window to all and sundry there was no way to ventilate the bathroom. The toilet roll holder needs attention as it came off the wall in my hand. Just needs the screw tightening. The door to the toilet creaks noisely so if you wanted to use it in the middle of the night the nose would be a problem. Just little niggles easily put right. Apart from this everything was lovely.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Rooms, park and especially Anni's breakfast!
Cons: Wifi was slow, but it was not that important.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Charming house in nature... very quite environment. Very welcoming host. Comfortable room. Very nice breakfast.
Cons: Closest restaurant is some 7 kilometer away, but there is no traffic, so only a short drive. In that city, there are several good restaurants.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The house was easy to find and everything was ready and clean. The owner kindly booked us a table at a restaurant in Duclair. Breakfast exceeded expectations. We were only able to stay one night - but hope to return for more!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Annie, owner and operator of the property, is a gardener and decorator and it shows. The house has been featured in French decorating magazines. The breakfasts she prepares are very good, special in our experience. The location is bucolic, cows and horses in the field behind, but only seven miles from Rouen, a lively city with great history, famous buildings and many restaurants. We are a retired couple from the U.S. to whom tasteful things appeal.
Cons: I can’t think of anything would change. It is not a place for small children or to hang around the property all day. It is a place of great charm to serve as a base for the many things there are to see and do in Haute Normandy.

6.7 Good
Pros: N/A AS TOO EXPENSIVE
Cons: PAID MORE VIA INTERNET THAN WOULD HAVE DONE BOOKING DIRECTLY
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved the beautiful location and stunning property. We loved the self contained apartment we stayed in with our 7 year old twins. It had ample space and we wish we could have stayed longer.
Cons: We loved the restaurant, but probably should have declined dinner there with our children as it was a very long meal for them. Although the restaurant were good at preparing a special main course for the children and a special dessert, the courses that we were served as adults took more than four hours to prepare, serve and eat. This was simply to long for our children who had travelled all day. The food though was wonderful and the staff very attentive.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The food was spectacularly good and the experience of dining in the kitchen really made it that much more special.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The apartment was huge and provided us with a very homely feel, the furniture and fittings were avery eclectic mix and suited the nature of the property. The beds were so comfy and the surrounding area on the seine was fantastic for walking. Above all we treated ourselves to the menu and were blown away by the very unique and exceptional quality of the ingredients. Dining in whilst staying here is a must if you like good champagne, wine and very exquisite food.
Cons: Our dog, didn't like the cats....but we thought they were lovely.

Pros: Very nice comfortable rooms in pretty grounds. Spectacular abbey ruins in the village.
Cons: There’s no restaurant, and no really good ones around, although the albergue du bac, down by the river Seine is nice enough, if rather a long walk for your dinner.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Wow... what a gem! We booked a one-night stay a few hours before arrival (after midnight). We stayed in one of the Spa Suites. The hotel would be ideal for a romantic getaway, or a small group who just want to switch-off. The duplex room we stayed at was huge with the bed overlooking the large lounge below. Jacuzzi and walk-in shower in the bathroom. There is also a pool that we used for a couple hours that was warm enough but very clean. Breakfast is a cold buffet with an option of boiled eggs. If we had more time, there is much to explore in the neighbourhood. We will add this to our stay-again list! The staff were brilliant!

Only a one night stay, but we fell in love with the place and look forward to our return and to discover more of the locality.
Cons: Unfortunately we could not experience the evening cuisine as, even though booked, it was not available, but a very good meal was obtained not far away, and whilst annoying it did not spoil the stay.

Pros: The breakfast was excellent and as we were the only people booked in for dinner we were served a romantic dinner a deux in the garden.

Cons: Unfortunately our croissants were burn't for our stay. A pop-up baby crib (travel cot) would be good to have available for rooms.

My friend had fallen off her bike and Jeannine and Michel were so helpful and caring. We continued onto Le Havre the following day. Great location and a lovely stay. Would highly recommend for a stop over for cycling along the Seine.

Pros: I liked the friendly host .she explained about places to eat and gave us free maps. Also loved the rustic ness of it with the chickens pecking around the grounds .The big shower was hot and powerful.
Cons: Having English breakfast tea bags in the room .The host offered some loose tea but a bit of a phaff.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Janine and Michel were very friendly and helpful and gave us plenty of information about the area, suggesting places to visit. The breakfasts were very good with plenty of fruit and excellent coffee.
Cons: We are used to a firmer mattress and so, as time went on these mattresses became a little saggy. The water wouldn’t stay in the sink so a small bowl might have been useful.

6.7 Good
Pros: Very good food
Cons: Room felt a little damp and stale
9.6 Excellent
Pros: This was a delightful and traditional old Auberge. The building was old and interesting. The decor would not be to everyone's taste, being busy and dark, but the owner's attention to detail is to be admired, from the fabric wall coverings to the China cutlery rests on the dining table. We received a warm welcome and ate in the Auberge in the evening. The fayre was traditional Normandaise food and was very good and tasty. For animal lovers, there was a house cat, plenty of birds in averiaries in the garden, a parrot in reception, and donkeys (including a very cute foal) in the grounds. The hotel is situated on a main road which at peak times could be noisy. However, this was not an issue or a problem. It made it very easy to find.
Cons: The main road.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Old rural Normandy farmhouse.
Cons: Peacock rather too noisy in the morning!

8.3 Excellent
Pros: had to leave early in morning and didn't have time for breakfast but the evening meal was excellent and exceeded expectations. Loved the whole baguette on the table and the ambience in the very period restaurant. service was good with a nice selection of vegetables with the main course. Wine choice vast if a little expensive. We need to return to explore it some more. The gardens were interesting but it was too cold to benefit from them.
Cons: Car was frozen in the morning but not the fault of the Auberge. Not a great fan of caged birds but guess its the owners hobby. Cold walk from the room to the restaurant and back again.
7.9 Good
Pros: very welcoming, excellent menu.
Cons: the adjacent road can be noisy
8.3 Excellent
Pros: This is a very special place. The food is divine, with a cheeseboard to die for. All ingredients are sourced very locally.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: The chateau was clean but in need of work. The term shabby chic was made for the place though that is not a bad thing. The grounds and gardens were well kept.
Cons: The room we had was small with all the facilities smaller cupboards. Imagine a shower in a wardrobe. You get the picture! Great for a one night stay but get a bigger room for anything longer
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Enormous room. Large dog friendly grounds. No restaurants nearby, so Annabelle, our host, ordered a tasty pizza to be delivered for us. Will be staying there again.
Cons: Nothing of note.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: The jams at breakfast were homemade with fruits from the property. The grounds were enchanting.
Cons: One of the beds was creaky!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location may not be for everyone, as it is deep in the French countryside, but it suited us The welcome was excellent, the room spacious and comfortable, and the breakfast was very good, continental and plentiful. Annabelle, our host was superb, and we would definitely return. There is an excellent restaurant five minutes away for dinner, and Annabelle will book it for you. The Chateau is quiet, and quirky which again we like. Dogs are welcome, and there are nice walks in the area.
Cons: Minor criticisms, but the pillows were not fantastic, and the shower in our room was just about adequate, and lacked pressure. Other guests found their showers good. The shutters really could do with painting as first impressions are important!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Traditional old charm. Very peaceful and relaxing. Made to feel a real welcome including our dogs. Annabelle is so lovely and friendly.
Cons: No enough plug sockets but to be expected in theses old chateau’s
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The greeting. The help in booking restaurants and the charm of the place
Cons: Nothing. It was a bit hard to find but it was okay in the end
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We had a good friendly welcome. We were given the choice of two rooms. One in the main house and one underneath as can be seen on the photo. We chose the one underneath which gave us a little more privacy. Despite really needing a little fresh decoration, it was comfortable and adequate. The proprietor did not speak much English but this did not cause a problem. The breakfast was very good. We would stay again.
Cons: Re decoration maybe, but for an odd night it was adequate.
9.6 Excellent

Lovely room with patio doors so could sit out in the evening with a drink, beautiful garden, so peaceful. Breakfast was lovely, good selection and filling. 3 nights here, loved it! Highly recommend this place, its a real gem for a quiet/peaceful break, would definately stay again if in the area! Reviewer Graham has said its too remote, hosts dont speak english etc . . . Well your in France and staying in someones home! Its in the countryside, do research as to where your staying, Normandie is an agricultural area mainly! And use Google translate!! We didnt speak a lot of french but it made it fun and had a great time chatting :-) Dont be put off, this is a gem of a place to stay
Cons: Nothing, its simple/quiet, brilliant!
