Located a few metres from Kromeriz’s historical centre, this hotel offers a spa centre, an outdoor pool, a restaurant with terrace and beautiful arcade courtyards. Free private parking is available. Situated just a 10-minute walk from the Bishop's Palace and Lustgarten, all rooms at Octarna Hotel have free Wi-Fi, satellite TV and minibars. Rooms situated in the attic also feature air-conditioning. Guests can visit the well appointed spa area, which features a hot tub, a sauna and an outdoor heated pool with counterflow system. It is available upon request and for a surcharge. The hotel also has an elegant restaurant that serves innovative versions of traditional Czech specialities and home made desserts. During the warmer months, guests can also dine on the restaurant’s lovely terrace or simply enjoy the sun from one of the hotel’s courtyards.
Pros: Great location in old monastery. Helpful stuff. Free parking place and good breakfast. 5 min from city center by feet.
Pros: Beautifully decorated historic location, very central for sightseeing in Kromeriz. Very comfortable bed Good breakfast (included in the price) . We had dinner in the courtyard, also delicious (but a long wait for it!)
Cons: The long wait for the food at dinner (but the food was superb when it arrived)
Pros: Rooms ok, environment very nice, food in restaurant very tasty, no time to use wellness- so can not comment
Cons: Only small issue with staff in restaurant - if there is rush hour and the restaurant is full - in 2 persons it creates some delays. But staff is really professional it is rather about not enough waiters
Pros: Hotel Octarna **** for filled most of my expectations; nice (quiet, as demanded) room, perfect functioning air-conditioning at the room, friendly staff, good location as in walking distance from the railway station and historical interesting places. As the hotel is a former monastery it is already an historical monument on its own.
Cons: “Disappointing” (is a little too hard, but don’t find immediately a better word) was the (weekend)breakfast and the too small breakfast room. The breakfast was served in a small historical (?) room without any ventilation or air-conditioning (what is - I think – a basic at a ****Hotel) so you had to open the windows to get some air circulation. At the weekend the hotel was really filled up and lots of people came for breakfast. Unfortunately not enough staff was available ( I suppose so?) what resulted at dirty tables and a breakfast buffet what was hardly filled up with fresh food, clean cups, glasses (and so on). I looked at the at the room present clock and 45 minutes to fill up the buffet with “some new” warm sausages, eggs (even glasses) was no exception. It was better on Monday when the buffet was filled up in an acceptable time. For a ****Hotel this is – in my opinion – a “working point” what can be easy solved by serving the breakfast at the restaurant and extending the air-conditioning.
Pros: Beautifully designed and spacious room. Great breakfast. On-site parking and friendly staff especially in the restaurant.
Cons: The room hadn't been hoovered. There was a lot of dust under the bed and behind the door. Also there was water leaking out from tiles under the shower (even when turned off) leaving the carpet in hallway soaked.
Pros: Breakfast Room
Cons: Receptionist wasn't very welcoming. Never been told about wedding in the hotel therefore we Couldn't use the outside table space.
Pros: The reception staff were amazing, polite, welcoming and helpful. Located 15 minutes walk from the Palace, less from town centre. Hotel restaurant was the best meal i've had and restaurant staff very helpful. Air conditioning worked really well and wifi was strong. Single room was spacious, parking in central courtyard secure.
Cons: The window blind didn't block out any light.
Pros: Being next to the centre of the old Czech town.
Cons: Being given a poor monetary exchange rate when checking out.
Pros: Good location, friendly staff
Cons: Breakfast quality, terrible coffe

Pros: The wine bar in the lobby ... good breakfast
Cons: The stairs to the second floor ...
Pros: + very nice and warm staff + excellent location in centre + very good breakfast which is prepared freshly for the guest + vineshop as a part of the pension + very good value/price
Pros: Really nice place few steps to Kromeriz main square. Rooms nice and well equipped, bar with a friendly atmosphere and a good choice of Moravian wines
Cons: Staff sometimes looked a bit busy and tired. Don't accept card payments
Pros: The staff was extra friendly- but did not speak English, so might be an issue for those who don't understand Czech...
Cons: The bed linens could be newer- there were sewed holes in them, but in the end that was just a B&B "Penzion" and not a hotel.
Pros: Feel pleasant like in a small garden. The room is colorfully decorated.
Pros: nice location
Cons: they accept cash only.
Pros: In a historical building in the downtown. It is basically a wine cellar with four wonderful guest rooms. Very good value for money. As I arrived late they called me on the phone in my mother tongue.

Pros: We got the apartment...it was super
Cons: We had economy room first...
Pros: Good breakfast. A garden area to enjoy and relax in.
Cons: Room TINY! No wardrobe, not room for it. Walls paper thin so that when people spoke in adjoining rooms or corridors you would swear they were in your room.
Cons: smell of gas on corridor and in my room. However service said that it is normal.
Pros: Very stylish hotel! The room is decorated with ownage design! Probably this is old house in old town but all equipment inside is contemporary! The room in the first level have own pass to little cute garden in backyard. Where is some attractions for children, grill and relaxing zone. The hotel restaurant offers beer, snacks, and good pizza! Great location in the little wonderful Czech city! Очень рекомендую!
Cons: Do something in the bathroom! After taking a shower on the floor there is always a flood in all the toilet rooms!
Pros: Location and free parking wonderful - great staff !!! -at breakfast you could make your own omelette !!!!!!!!!!!
Pros: It was such a pleasure to stay there. Me and my boyfriend had a great time. The service, food, and location are excellent. We had to leave earlier than expected (at 7:00 am) for external issues and they woke up earlier to help us check out and even though breakfast was supposed to be from 8:00 to 10:00, they laid out the buffet before 7:00 to ensure that we could still have a great breakfast. Amazing! Will definitely stay with them in the future!

Pros: parking free in the vicinity of hotel, hotel is located in the city centre, close to castle, muzeum, restaurants, wifi operates good, room and bathroom was large and clean
Cons: First day (national holiday) were problems with shortage of bakery products during the breakfest
Pros: Location directly at the centre, tasty, rich and bright breakfast.
Cons: We expected more from a four-stars hotel, facilities were very poor and simple.
Pros: Perfect location.
Cons: Majority of the Staff was not able to communicate in English . Sink in the bathroom was blocked: staff was unable to repair/help . Shower without any shell for cosmetics.
Pros: It was okay in general. :-) The biggest advantage of this hostel is for sure the location at the city's main square.
Cons: It was very impersonal, anonymous object, with no specific atmosphere. Good for people who just want to sleep and go, not for those who look for socializing with people, I guess. Minimalist style - but this can be both disadvantage, and advantage to some people.
Pros: spacious well equipped apartment bathroom with bathtub main square view good breakfast
Pros: A great view of the Old Town Square especially at night, 10% discount at the local restaurant, local breweries nearby, air-conditioned room
Cons: The car park is about 10-minute walk from the hotel, but it's free so it isn't bad :-) btw, we didn't get the voucher for free parking at the town square as some guests wrote in their opinions....The reception is open only until 8 p.m. and I think you can only communicate in Czech...

Pros: Very friendly receptionist. Excellent location and safe parking onsite. Also a great Italian got chocolate selection :-)

Pros: Great location, very friendly staff
Cons: There was no receptionists after a certain time.
Pros: breakfast very plentiful; good beds; nice staff; great Location; room out back was actually quiet.
Cons: Juice at breakfast was chemical; Margarine instead of butter; 2 torn towels, but at least they were clean; bathroom had a couple of hairs on the floor when we came in, and the black mold in the shower's corners and a little dirt on the radiator need scrubbing. the whole place is fading a bit and needs a revamp.
Pros: Great location in the center of historical town Kromeriz. The hotel is in historical design. Rooms - large and comfortable. Stuff was pleasant and working till we have been siting. Restaurant is in the hotel and make no sense to go somewhere else the food quality is very good.
Cons: Nothing to complain.
Pros: Great ambience and location. Friendly staff and overall a good value.
Cons: Breakfast situation was awkward. A buffet would be better, instead of staff watching over you while you eat and loudly taking food orders across the whole place, very unsettling way to wake up. Good portions though and excellent food.
Pros: good restaurant at the hotel , fast check out , friendly staff
Pros: There was no bootles of water free of charge, there was a minibar instead. Average breakfast... but it's included in room price anyway

Pros: Room ordinary, bed a little hard, but I slept like a baby. Very quiet hotel.

Pros: Quiet place, good bed, good price
Cons: I havent seen somebody from Hotel Staff in the 3 days there.... Had only two phoncalls But no other contact.... Quiet strange
Pros: I enjoyed wellness so much. I felt so relax and happy after that.
Cons: After the wellness we wanted to have romantic dinner with my girlfriend however the restaurant closed at 7pm. We were quite shocked.
Pros: NOTHING! It is a trap!
Cons: This Wellness pension is a trap, in some smole vilage where is nothing else. Please never ever again. They are awful, no drink, no food, no welness after 7 pm. If you like to use sauna you have to pay 1400 CZK, extra fee. Once you pay online they will not give you money back. Please be aware about this place!!!
Pros: Great rooms, modern and clean.
Pros: I liked the window blinds, it was nice and dark in the room.
Cons: When we arrived, a young girl took us to our appartment, just opened the door, gave me the key and run off :-( When i walked in I found out there was only a double bed with two duvets and pillows for three people. So I had to go downstairs to find a member of staff and asked for another bed. While a nice cleaner was preparing another bed i noticed the book shelf above the bed was being very dusty, but didnt say anything then. Soon after my younger daughter needed to use the toilet so went into the bathroom with her to discover the sink was full of hair, short like shaved hair which was disgusting, so asked the cleaner what is this supposed to be and i got told she will get the plumber in to fix it and she would clean it afterwards. Then we discovered there was no toilet paper at all and at that point i was angry as i arranged a time of our arrival at 17.00 and we arrived an hour later so they had plenty of time to prepare the room, and also told her about the dust on the shelf, which wasnt a few days of dust, more like a few weeks. She was really sorry and said they have a young lady working there over summer and that she is not good. The service is not worth the money at all, i wouldnt go and stay there again.
