Opt for a Room in the Annex
Consider booking a room in the annex for a quieter experience, as it tends to be away from the main street and may offer a more peaceful stay.
Consider Noise Levels
Be mindful of potential noise from the surroundings, especially if staying in a room facing the street or during peak seasons when the area might be livelier.
Check for Air Conditioning
If visiting during warmer months, ensure that the room has adequate cooling facilities, as some guests found the rooms to be uncomfortably warm without air conditioning.
Explore Nearby Dining Options
Take advantage of the proximity to various cafes and restaurants, offering a diverse range of dining choices within walking distance of the guesthouse.
Request Additional Amenities
If in need of specific amenities such as a kettle or iron, don't hesitate to request them from the staff, as these items are available on request.
Be Aware of Separate Reception
Note that the reception for the guesthouse is in a different location from the main hotel, so be prepared for this arrangement, especially when carrying luggage.
Consider Room Size
Keep in mind that some rooms may be smaller in size, so if space is a priority, it's advisable to inquire about room dimensions before booking.
Take Advantage of Complimentary Services
Make use of the complimentary coffee at reception and consider requesting free day passes for local attractions, such as the zoo, which are available.
Check for Portable WiFi
Inquire about the availability of portable WiFi, which can be borrowed, providing convenient internet access while exploring the city.
Consider Noise Reduction
Given the potential for external noise, consider using the earplugs provided by the property to minimize any disturbances during the stay.
