Scores according to KAYAK customer reviews
Cons: "Food and rough flight"
Cons: "The flight was delayed and then the pilot decided to (after the doors were closed and ready to go) unload and reload cargo and board more people. So based on their decision, we were even further delayed and subsequently missed our connection in sydney. United has offered no compensation either for our change fee in sydney nor for the stress they added to our vacation - on a Christmas flight nonetheless!"
Cons: "Probably nothing"
Pros: "Check in and departure very quick, efficient and professional.... very intuitive and helpful when observing that customer is in need"
Cons: "From a customer service standpoint, I Would lower or not charge business or first class rates on a jet in which the seats for the above mentioned clearly have no physical distinction from those in economy class. Just a thought."
Pros: "The crew was fine."
Cons: "United is consistently late and unhelpful with addressing travel delays. The first leg of my flight was delayed which would have caused me to miss my connection. United staff could not have been less helpful. In the future, I will try to avoid flying United wherever possible."
Cons: "Drop-off bagage agent made me line up to get a new baggage tag even though my luggage had been checked up to my destination via COPA Airlines. A United Airlines check-in agent told me that the baggage agents don’t work for the airline therefore didn’t know what to do. These people need add training."
Cons: "Lack of announcements and proper information when gate changes."
Pros: "The tv worked and the flight got in early."
Cons: "The crew was not very nice, the flight had duplicate seat bookings, attendants kept bumping my seat and waking me up, the crew was not strict on take off/landing policies, so the guy in front of me was basically in my lap when we landed."
Pros: "Kayak provided excellent info during the trip about flights timings ! Marvelous !!!!"

Cons: "We just couldn't justify paying 16.00 so each of us could watch TV for two hours. We would have appreciated basic TV, in order for us to stay on top of the National/World news. We feel it is part of our best interest, as a country and world, to keep informed. Please allow for at least BBC to be viewed. For Free. Thank You."

Pros: "Staff was wecoming and friendly"
Cons: "Couldn't even access united's flight map without paying for movies. Seats are very small, large neighbor next to me used my armrest the whole flight and generally spilled into my seat."
Cons: "Too many delays, nothing was offered. Nothing was given or comp; Food, water, bags, seat upgrades, not flying untied again"
Pros: "I finally arrived at my destination"
Cons: "he flight was from lax to SFO, the printed ticket said it was a two hour flight whereas I know it is a one hour flight. We proceeded to board the plane on time and then pushed off the gate and sat in the runway for 45 minutes fly to sf and sit there on the runway for 30-45 minutes. Which meant that we were on the runway more than in the air. I would never pick United again for my flight between la and sf as it would be much quicker and easier with southwest, Virgin or JetBlue."
Cons: "The baby crying!"
Pros: "pleasant staff at terminal"
Cons: "notified at absolute last minute that flight was canceled with no weather related cause. Airline knew ahead of time as aircraft did not arrive. poor communication overall."

Pros: "The fact that we were able to check two bags with no added cost and eve though we had to go through customs the bags were transferred for us after."
Cons: "The lack of entertainment on the second part of the flight which was serviced by United from Washington to Seattle. We had to use our own phones as the plane did not have screens and the choices of shows was a bit lacking, we also had to pay for drinks even though this was a 5.5 hour flight which should have included a meal."
Cons: "No snacks...free"
Pros: "Great movie selection and functionality."
Cons: "You had to download the app prior to flight to use entertainment."

Cons: "Unable to check into both legs of my flight even though Air Canada used United for the first leg."
Pros: "There wasn't a single thing I liked about flying with United."
Cons: "Everything from customer service check-in to boarding. It was TERRIBLE. I was to have a wheel chair at check-in for my start in Fayetteville. Did this happen? NO!! The girl looked at me like I was CRAZY. I'm on crutches and having to wear a leg mobilizer with a blown MCL & meniscus. I did not get any help boarding my flight which happened to be an express flight. The young stewardess took my crutches from me the moment I stepped foot on the plane. And I couldn't get any help getting off the plane."

Cons: "Everything. I had a very tight schedule to visit my friends in canada. What was supposed to be a quick flight turned into almost 24 hours of travel and ariving 12 hours late. I was lucky to have 3 days in with my friends now i only have 2. Not to mention what was supposed to be an inexpensive trip turned i to an expensive one when you are forced to eat airport food after being constantly re routed. I bought my ticket based on ariving to ottawa in the morning this however was not the case. I will be seeking a refund."
