The other option was I needed to go to the airport to change it and pay supplement. Luckily it was only a 30min taxi ride from my hotel. The desk staff could see the issue and resolved the problem within 20mins - extremely helpful. A shame this could not be sorted in UK by phone and email"

It was fixed pretty quickly and meanwhile a rep. from Delta boarded the plane, apologizing for our inconvenience and handed out Jolly Ranchers. REALLY? After that, she and the flight attendants did give us a free drink/headset coupon. That would have been nice but it expires Dec. 2017 and the flight attendant stopped serving drinks about half way down the aisle because the flight was so short. The coupon will be of no use to me. I finally got to Raleigh about 9:30...I booked the flight so I wouldn't have to drive at night.. Sigh....Delta used to be my favorite airline."

It was lucky that she found Chinese speaking customers to help her."

Cons: "The flight was delayed for over 2 hours because of a reported maintenance issue with the aircraft but was originally delayed because of not having flight attendants available. When the flight attendants did finally arrive they all had an attitude of wishing to be anywhere but on this flight. The lead flight attendant even got into a verbal altercation with the gate agent demanding help getting people's bags into the overhead compartment because she was "injured" & not supposed to be at work. All in all a quite dissatisfying experience but not an uncommon one with this airline & this airport. I will use both only when I have absolutely no other options."

Even though I have TSA pre-check I was jostled around, sent to multiple security lines without any reasoning and the local Chicago TSA and airport staff didn't seem to know what to do. Once it was figured out I was subjected to what was essentially a cavity search. Again I HAVE TSA-pre-check but apparently that means nothing if an airline flags you. It was an extremely upsetting experience but you were in a situation of either agree to the invasive search or get stranded over 1000 miles from home. I will NEVER fly Iberia again after a cancelled flight and being stranded in the wrong country on the way to my vacation and the horrible security experience on the way back. I seriously may never go to Chicago either after seeing the complete lack of organization and traumatizing personal invasion. I fly a lot for work and have never had such a horrible experience. I would really like to know how many terrorists are caught with these invasive searches and would love to know the justification for sticking your hands inside someone's pants and grabbing their privates after they have already gone through a metal detector AND the body scanner. Especially for someone who has already passed a federal background check to obtain pre-check status. Absolutely ridiculous."

Even as the 'would be' boarding window, the line formed with people asking questions... yet there were no answers or updates to the proposed time of departure. Even when the 59 min late departure came and went, there was NO communication. Folks were in an uproar! Finally, with no announcement, the gate attendant just started checking boarding passes and letting people go through the gate. Huh? I have zone 1, yet he said, we're just boarding everybody.... and, on the 3+ hr flight, only 1 bathroom worked. AWFUL EXPERIENCE!!!"

I think of all the flight attendants on my first flight only one was pleasant and professional as a flight attendant is expected to be... the 2nd flight was a little smoother in the since that the flight attendants were warm and welcoming however After a long day of traveling and flight delays I wanted to rest and I immediately noticed the seats did not recline not even a little, and the tray tables were the size of an iPad mini... it was very hard to get even a little comfortable for the almost 5 hour flight.. it was very uncomfortable.... then there's the baggage fee. $57 for a carry on I would rather pay the extra $57 to fly with a better airline... and to get to the airport and be told that they only accept cards for baggage fee no cash... who doesn't accept cash?? Especially in a place like Vegas. It was unbelievable.. but they conveniently had atm like machines that can turn your cash to card for a $5 fee.... it seems like they advertise the airline to be less expensive than others but in reality they're not!! They nickel and dime you with all of these fees to the point that you eventually end up paying the same price it would cost for a better airline only difference is you pay the same price and still get crappy service... I would never Spirit again. That was my first and last time, and I definitely wouldn't recommend it to anyone else."

Cons: "Arrival: Both flights arrived on time, BUT the plane remained on the runway for extended periods to await a gate. I know delays happen, but to wait on two out of two fights isn't a good average... Seats: I'm very small, and was very glad in these seats. I found the seats quite uncomfortable because they don't recline at all! Food/Beverage: Nothing is provided - not even water. Baggage Check: When making reservations, $30/bag to check didn't seem too bad. However, when pre-registering my luggage, in order to receive the $30/bag rate, I would have needed to spend $50 additional for a membership. I don't fly enough to make that worthwhile."

Pros: "Needless to say, price was a plus. Comparable prices on JetBlue and Avianca on the same CTG to FLL flights were US$300-$400 more at the time of booking. Arrived just in time at the airport for the cutoff provided in the online check-in paperwork and the line was full with all the other passengers for that flight there being processed. I thought surely it would be a long wait and soon the flight would be closed, but we actually moved very swiftly as they had 3 agents tending to the counter. They were all courteous and quick. At the gate, an announcement was made that the flight was overbooked and they offered a couple of volunteers a $500 credit towards Spirit flights as well as being re-booked for next days flight. Once on board, the three flight attendants were also courteous. WI was assigned seat 2F on their A320 v1. Best seat by far I've had assigned without paying for reserving one with Spirit. While it did not recline, I did not find the standard angle detrimental and I had TONS of legroom even when the upgraded row 1 seats ahead were reclined. The flight itself was smooth and quick. We left right on schedule to the T, and parked at our gate about 15 minutes ahead of schedule. Being one of the first out allowed me to zip through immigration without any waits and was out of the airport before our scheduled arrival time! For sure God was blessing me this day. But could it also be that Spirit's new CEO is really turning things around? Lets wait and see how the return flight goes. Stay tuned... AF."
Cons: "One of the gate attendants was a bit on the rude side, screaming and demanding that all passengers get in one line or we would not board... even after I explained that her co-worker did not call to board by zone. He had explained the boarding process, but failed to start calling by zone. He at least used the proper equipment (microphone & overhead system). But this young lady was screaming... seriously? They could've avoided by: 1. Following protocol, and 2. Being consistent in using the designated communication equipment. Additional training is needed here for sure."

Pros: "The only flight that had leg space was the one to boston, they charged me 59 dollars extra for my luggage and 59 for my carry on bag . They suck i should've flown with another company"
Cons: "They overcharged me for my luggage, how do you not include luggage in my flight and then charge me extra for my carry on. !"

Pros: "It was clean and process was efficient. I did not get food but got a red wine and it was tasty."
Cons: "Way too tight - not enough space in seat, and I am small. And no wi-fi offered but it is a common offering these days that many people depend on. Service in the plane was fine, but not beyond that."

Pros: "Nothing"

Cons: "They cancelled my flight twice, i was waiting for four days because they cancelled the flight for technical difficulties but then couldn't put me on another one because they were all overbooked."

Cons: "Spirit cancelled on me last minute and would not put me on another airline to get to Minnesota. It was a terrible experience and I have no interest flying with them ever again. After speaking to a counter agent, I called them and they couldn't get me on anything to get to Minnesota that day, which is when I absolutely had to be there in order to get my work done. It was a huge waste of my time and resources. Sure, I got my ticket price back - only after arguing with them that the reason that I should get my full ticket back (instead of just the leg to Minnesota) is because THEY cancelled on ME."

Pros: "The flight was cool. Staff was cool HOWEVER the lines was extremely long. They don't open their front service in time. I barely made my boarding time and there was A Lot of people for the same flight behind me."
Cons: "Dirty plane. Extremely dirty plane. The fees for almost EVERYTHING was extremely!!!! Expensive. They are getting their money outta ya butt!! straight up!!"

Pros: "Quicker than expected. Nice crew"
Cons: "Everything costs more money. No reclining seats. No free water for a 3 hour flight!"

Pros: "Everything went very smoothly from getting on in Cartagena to getting off in orlando !"
Cons: "You advertise low fares but after you add in the fees for baggage , seat selection and $4 coffee on board , you are the same price as any other airline !"

Cons: "3 hour flighours delay, another hour on the runway and another 30 minutes waiting for baggage"

Pros: "Funny crew, preflight announcements made me laugh."
Cons: "High priced bag fees ($50) and TINY rows with tight spacing. I couldn't move without being in the aisle or bumping my neighbor and I'm 5'9"/150lbs"

Cons: "Flight was late, costumer service was terrible as it always is"

Pros: "The flight attendant from the Midwest was very warm and funny. I had a seat in the second row, which had a lot of legroom. The problem was that the woman in the seat in the first row was a NONSTOP talker. She seemed to have a mental illness of sorts. Abd I was secretly hoping the flight attendant would have encouraged her to speak more quietly."
Cons: "The flight attendant's nonchalance in the face of this passenger's nonstop very loud talking. Perhaps he might have asked her to pipe down a bit. The husband and wife sitting next to me were also shocked by her garrulousness. It was as if she had a manic diagnosis that was untreated. As a former psychiatric nurse she reminded me of many past patients of mine."

Pros: "Boarding went fine"

Cons: "$55 baggage fee that went from $65 to $100 if paid at the gate seemed outrageous."

Pros: "Everything except the baggage issue in the end was very good!"
Cons: "The baggage took 36 minutes to get to the baggage claim area in las vegas!"

Cons: "Flight was cancelled and they did not even help me find a different one"

Cons: "Spirit Airlines owes my a carryon bag refund of $45. I ordered my bag online and went to check in but found out my computer bag was free on plane. Spirit refused to refund."
