There were 5 people trying to connect to the same flight so it’s pretty rediculous that we were told to rebook when the plane didn’t leave the gate for 15 more minutes. This was the call of the airline and it was handled poorly. The rebooking agent was also extremely rude and seemed totally self absorbed. This was my worst flying experience out of approximately 50 flights this year. Never again American."

Cons: "Food - Served the "breakfast" (when it was called a protein plate) I had coming (into MSP). for "lunch" on the way back (called it a meat plate for lunch. One slice turkey, one slice jamon, one egg, cinnamon roll and fruit. Just because they don't want to serve bread - they call it a protein plate? I'm not on a protein diet. Food was pretty sick for the amount I paid for the fight. Stewardess said it was against Republic's rules to give a customer a can of tonic water (so I could add to the small amount of vodka) - she also told me that it was against Delta's, American's and United's rules to give a can - strange? First Class seat did not recline. First Class was freezing per every flight on this segment (the stewardesses sit in the back and don't want to be uncomfortable - if they make the front warm - the back is too hot for them (not joking on this one). So many things to list - that I will finish on the AA site."

My girlfriend flew this same plane and had even longer delays plus needed to divert In flight and turn around and land in heathrow on a mxp-jfk route (they were over the Atlantic). Problems continue for me 2 months later on this route and as a pattern it's incredibly unsettling. I'm questioning whether taking the return flight on a plane that's clearly begging to be retired"

They would not accomodate us or try to get us on another flight until they day of the returning flight. Unfortunately because of this my father missed seeing his friends and family who he has not seen in over 40 years for a reunion. We never received notification that anything was wrong with the flight and we were given the run around for 2 hours until they realized it was their fault and we missed the flight. Then they just offered a refund. In my opinion they were overbooked and did this on purpose, because it could have been resolved in minutes. I am disappointed with all parties involved including Kayak because of not notifying us of a problem. Thanks for ruining possibly the last time my father would be able to see his family and friends."

Cons: "These are the smallest seats I have ever experienced on a domestic airline. I'm 6'-4" and I couldn't fit comfortably on their newer 737. The thing that took the cake was that the cabin crew absolutely refused to let me take one of the 5 empty exit row seats telling me that it wasn't fair to the people who paid more, which absolutely enraged me. So then apparently it's also fair that their seats will fit someone who is 5'-4" comfortably but not someone who is 6'-4"?? So it's fair that I can't afford to pay an extra $100+ for it after my profession got gutted in the recession and I make a fraction now of that I used to make? Making your customers suffer for no good reason is inexcusable. I will not be flying United again. Ever."
