Pros: "Crew was amazing"
Cons: "Seats are too close together"
Pros: "The crew was amazing. The economic seat (I always prefer to select aisle seat) was OK for me."
Cons: "I often prefer to take Air Canada flight for the departure to any international cities, because it hardly happened to have any cancelled AC flights during my Air flight dates in my past years trips."
Pros: "Crew was nice but only service twice in 8hr flight"
Cons: "Entertainment app didnt work. Food was low cost AND low quality. Pasta was bland mush breakfast was slice of banana bread."
Pros: "No carry on space, no leg room for a 6’4” individual"
Pros: "The crew was very accomodating and the entertainment was nice"
Cons: "It is too crammed on this type of plane. Having three columns of three seats, four seats, and three seats is a bit too much. It seemed this type of plane is going for quantity instead of quality."
Pros: "Movie selection was good."
Cons: "I could not reserve seats via Kayak, through whom the flight was booked. The flight was a code shared flight with Austrian Airlines. I could not reserve seats via Austrian Airlines. Contacted Air Canada and they had a lot of trouble locating my booking/itinerary. When it was eventually found, I was able to reserve seats in advance through Air Canada. It cost a little extra."
Pros: "got an upgrade to Business Class but on those small flight - meh"
Cons: "The recline didn't work nor did the sound on my TV."
Cons: "See above - seats worn out, entertainment worn out, Crew battling old tired aircraft. Massively overpriced. Bring on WestJet direct to Ottawa."
Pros: "Comfort and service"
Cons: "Had nit boarded any cognac or gochuchong hot pepper paste."
Pros: "Prompt boarding"
Cons: "Timing of flight from Phoenix"
Pros: "Our flight boarded slightly later than expected but ended up taking off on time. Flight crew was courteous and provided water the entire time to ensure everyone was hydrated. In flight entertainment was nicely done with a personal touch screen headrest TV that had ample TV and movies to choose from. We landed slightly ahead of schedule and by the time I got to baggage claim, my oversized bag (snowboard bag) was already waiting for me."
Pros: "Nothing to like here"
Cons: "Late, crew was rude and plane was dirty!"
Cons: "the good service at the check in and on the plane, or the great entertainment service, are all shadowed by Air Canada service for families with babies. We live in Vancouver and use frequently either Air canada or British Airways. We have a 1 year old baby, and on BA we automatically receive family seats for no extra charge, which have extra leg room and option for a bassinet. even with a 1 year old baby they have a special seat for that age, instead of a bassinet which fits only new born babies, so our 1 year old baby could sleep in a chair for hours on BA flight we just took from London to Tel Aviv. we got to London on a AC flight from Vancouver, where we weren't given family seats unless we paid more, so we had to spend 9.5 hours with a 1 YO baby at our lap, the baby of course was miserable, so we were miserable, but not just us, everyone in our vicinity had to suffer the baby's crying. On the BA flight the baby could sleep in a special chair for older babies, placed where usually a bassinet is placed, or sit on the floor next to our legs (because there's so much more leg room in the family seats), something the 1 YO babies need very much. I will recommend anyone with a baby to never fly with AC, especially when you have great alternatives like BA."
Pros: "Seats in business."
Cons: "The food."
Pros: "1 stewardess was great"
Cons: "Flights were delayed. Did not check boarding passes which was scary."
Pros: "great crew."
Cons: "no wifi on a transatlantic 12 hour flight!!!!"
Cons: "Seats are uncomfortable. I pre ordered vegetarian meal, but I guess they did not bother."
Pros: "Entertainment excellent for a short flight"
Cons: "Too long to board and a little disorganized at boarding"
Cons: "No notification of 2 hour delay. Missed connection with 2 wrong rebooking on departed flight. No ticket to clear customs and no Air Canada help to rebook correctly."
Cons: "Bad service"
Cons: "That there was no meal included. Only ordering extra through the cafe catalog"
Cons: "no food no entertainment very bad management of boarding"
Pros: "that we landed safe"
Cons: "that the plane was delayed snd we were keept in side like sardines"
Cons: "Air Canada has very poor communication with customers. Having seen that ALL flights were delayed (it was 9:40 pm when I connected through Toronto) I asked 2 Air Canada employees about my 10:30 flight that showed on time on the monitor but Kayak already said it was late. They said it was late due to late inbound aircraft. A fellow passenger informed me that TO was down to one runway and things would be late late - which they were. TALK to us Air Canada!!!"
Cons: "My flight was canceled. And i have to spent about 9hours at airport."
Pros: "Excellent service and attitude from flight attendants."
Cons: "Two passangers coughing the entire flight and not covering their mouth. Terrible."
Pros: "I needed a wheelchair and they were very friendly and helpful"
Pros: "The food was not really good."
Cons: "Boarding by zones is an excellent idea; but it does not work very well. Peole still making lines and standing in front of the gate when their zones have not been called out. Making boarding very difficult and confusing."
Pros: "Nice friendly staff in the plane. Nice friendly staff at the airport, although very slow and getting confused easily. Need more training."
Cons: "Checkin process has to be SERIOUSLY reviewed and improved, especially for International travelers. Our boarding passes printed in Okinawa had to be REPRINTED in Tokyo for some reason, and we narrowly avoided a huge line to wait into because staff mistakenly made us wait in the WRONG lane. Note: on the way to Okinawa 2 weeks earlier, we had similar poor experience, but we only had to wait 5 min in the wrong lane. Overall ANA staff is very nice, friendly and smiling, but seems to get overwhelmed and confused very easily, and take FOREVER to do simple tasks that their US counterparts do 3x or 4x FASTER. --> do more regular TRAINING of your staff at airport counters !"
Pros: "The crew at the airport terminal were very helpful."
Cons: "The flight was very cold, even though everyone in my row had their air vents closed."
Pros: "Boarding process was good"
Cons: "No free snacks offered"
Pros: "The staff rocked it, despite being in a tough position with grumpy passengers. The desk staff before boarding was less helpful. The seats were comfortable. Entertainment was rated low because it was a short flight it really should have been an N/A because I didn't use it. Not sure how to fairly rate that. No food as far as I could tell."
Cons: "2 hour delay, then sat for another hour or so after being the last to board for fueling and waiting for ground crew."
Pros: "The crew was especially friendly and helpful."
Pros: "The entertainment was horrible, seats so uncomfortable. Service was really bad and overall to cramed"
Cons: "Change the seats and give a bit more space. Get the flight attendance to not be jerks and do their jobs"
Pros: "Apart from food there was nothing great about the flight"
Cons: "The staff is the worst, the air hostesses are rude and treat you bad. The service is very poor."
Cons: "We had a hard time reserving seats in advance"
Cons: "Some crew members attitude... Really bad and unhelpful. Also whose idea was it to out the video controllers right where you rest your arm???"
Pros: "Everything was as expected from a flight."
Cons: "1. The seats were tiny. 2. I almost had to check my carryon - even though it was the right size. 3. Your television and movie selections should be more diverse with diverse characters. All the lead characters in all the shows appeared the same skin color. Mix it up. 4. The driver/pilot appeared to slam on brakes after he landed. Perhaps he was afraid to pass up his gate. It was crazy scary."
Cons: "Air Canada ROUGE is very different than Air Canada :("
Cons: "They overbooked the flight and would not allow me to board even though I had booked my ticket months in advance."
Cons: "Terrible attitude to a customer (not me). I asked for a US custom form and it took them an hour and two people to do that."
Pros: "Nothing to like about this airline. Horrible people especially in toronto, really unhelpful, extremely rude."
Cons: "Air line decided they didn't want me to take my connecting flight. Removed my luggage without consulting with me. Offered me a disgusting hotel. Forced me to pay out of pocket for food, taxis, transfers and my own hotel choice. Staff were so rude. No explanation to why they removed my bags. I made it in plenty of time for my connecting flight but airline had just decided. No staff member was interested in answering my questions or helping. They all just wanted to sod off home. they just didn't care."
Pros: "i didn't like anything about this flight"
Cons: "The flight was over an hour delayed and everything else since boarding was a mess. It was hard for the fly hostess to keep her calm and we knew she was stressed, as much as many passengers who lost their connection or who had really tied ones. I noticed also that it wasn't the only flight delayed so I am not sure if this is usual with Air Canada."
Pros: "The flight had good entertainment, decent food, good service, and it left on time. I've never been really impressed with Air Canada but they provide great value for the money as they have sort of become the budget airline of international travel without having a true "budget airline feel." I'll take a good flight to Tokyo with Air Canada for $1100 over an excellent flight to Tokyo for $1500 or $1600, or maybe more. I also like the option of having a long layover in Toronto or Montreal with Air Canada, as these are good cities to spend a few hours in. On the flight back from Tokyo, I had a nice layover in Toronto that lasted almost a day."
Cons: "The electronic/entertainment system went down for a about an hours so that was annoying. This only happened on the return flight but it was enough to create anxiety and make you wonder when it's going to come back on. Airline food is hardly ever much but it's pretty dull on Air Canada. It's not a bad idea to bring some of your own food and alcohol onto an Air Canada flight. The service was good but the stewards don't seem to enjoy their job as much as on some other airlines."
Pros: "The 787 was amazing."
Cons: "I had to take two different flights connecting through London Heathrow to make this leg of the journey."
Pros: "I like the service s over all"
