Germany has restricted all air passenger flights from the UK. In order to travel to Germany on exempt transportation UK nationals resident in Germany will require proof of residence. If they are not yet in possession of a residence card, they will be required to provide credible evidence that they are resident in Germany. This could include an address registration certificate (Meldebescheinigung), a tenancy agreement, a utility bill in their name, or a certificate of application (Fiktionsbescheinigung).
As of June 25, travelers arriving from Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland may enter Germany.
Germany has also lifted restrictions on entry for travelers coming from the following countries: Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand and Uruguay. Travelers must have spent at least 2 weeks in the above-listed countries prior to their flight to Germany. Restrictions will also be lifted for entry from China, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong and Macao if this can be agreed on a reciprocal basis. The list will be reviewed every two weeks.
Entry from any third country is possible for travelers who can demonstrate an important reason for their travel. The list of important reasons covers German and EU citizens and any third-country nationals with a right of residency in Germany. It also includes healthcare and social care personnel and health researchers, skilled workers whose economic activity is necessary and cannot be postponed or performed from abroad, freight and transport staff, seasonal workers, students who cannot continue their studies from abroad, travelers making visits for urgent family reasons, diplomats and staff at international organizations, and persons transiting Germany.

The German government regularly updates its list of designated risk areas. See the "English archive" at the bottom of the Robert Koch Institute page for the latest updated list.

Quarantine requirements in Germany differ depending on the German state. All travelers arriving from high-risk areas (over 50 cases per 100,000 inhabitants) are required to stay in home quarantine for 10 days on arrival in Germany. After 5 days it is possible to secure release from quarantine with a negative test. More information can be found here.
In most federal states (Länder), testing negative, at the earliest after five days, means home quarantine is no longer required. Furthermore, in some federal state (Land) regulations, exemptions from the quarantine obligation require the submission of a negative test result.

Pros: "well mannered and attentive crew - good supply of complimentary food/drink - good over all comfort"
Cons: "boarding was running very far behind - considering this is mainly a hub operations carrier - resulted in several passengers missing their connecting flights -"
Pros: "Quick flight"
Pros: "Friendly staff, great service on board. Way better value and service compared to the tacky Irish competition flying the route. Delta all the way"
Pros: "Once aboard the plane, all went well and I experienced excellent service from the cabin attendants."
Cons: "The flight was delayed (again!) for some 40 minutes and I was worried that I would miss my connection flight in Atlanata. Fortunately the pilot made up for the delay (probably costing the airline thousands in fuel). It seems these days that every KLM flight I take is delayed. This stretch goes back to 2015! Yet KLM prides itself as being punctual. Not the KLM that I have been flying!"
Pros: "Friendly crew! More legroom, good entertainment and food was great! Smooth landings pretty much on time."
Cons: "Boarding could be better"
Pros: "The service"
Cons: "The seats"
Pros: "Crew was excellent -kind nice and very attentive"

Cons: "The food and that there was no entertainment."
Cons: "infotainment was down. Lost my luggage the flight was delayed"
Pros: "Fast boarding"
Cons: "The entertainment system wasn’t working for the whole 10 hour flight."
Cons: "The cabin crew was racist! She asked me to move from a seat because she wanted another guy ( obviously from her country ) to take it! Rude and racist."
Pros: "On both of my flights to New York City, I was amazed at how friendly and helpful the flight attendants were to the passengers. On my short flight from Basel to Amsterdam, a young French speaking girl was concerned about how to manage getting to her next gate. The flight attendants talked to her and arranged for someone to take her there. On my longer flight from Amsterdam to New York City, there was a customer who was in distress about missing a previous flight and not making it to her connecting flight in New York. One of the flight attendants reassured her until she stopped crying and calmed down. That same flight attendant was always so positive and cheerful in all she did. The rest of the crew was top notch. This was my best experience flying in such a long time. Well done, KLM crews of flights 1984 and 0645 on July 10!"
Cons: "I can't take the flight because i'm not Chilean and I don't have a reembolse or other flight ,... nothing . Finally I take other flight with other company"
Pros: "The staff are the best European crews I have encountered. Naturally friendly, professional and fit looking. Nothing is too much trouble"
Pros: "Very friendly service!"
Cons: "Headset jack only worked if the headset plug was in EXACTLY the right spot."
Pros: "The staff the facilities the food all ******. Will definetly look forward to choose both delta and KLM"
Cons: "Bag was lost"
Pros: "The food was excelent"
Cons: "I have to pay to pay a little more confort"
Pros: "The last two times we connected in Amsterdam to Humberside our luggage was delayed. This time it wasn’t. The simple things give the greatest satisfaction"
Pros: "Entertainment was good, and crew was very nice and accommodating. Flight was very comfortable and smooth."
Cons: "The food was okay, not that great."
Pros: "The included snacks and the seats."
Cons: "KLM can't seem to figure out the order of boarding the plane. Should be business - priority - everyone else. Instead they do priority first, and that's usually two-thirds of the passengers. Also, really tired of the fake business class on these flights..."
Cons: "Late Cabin extremely warm Full flight and centre seat means no room to relax or carry out work"
Cons: "Only one queue for boarding. Flight late on arrival."
Pros: "Staff superb. They even surprised us with an exit row and a gift for my partners birthday! Amazing. Samantha and Dennis also took time to come and personally wish him a happy birthday. A lovely touch. This airline runs like clockwork. They are just great. The sandwich and stoop waffle are nice too."
Cons: "There is a bus to the plane, so that takes a bit of extra time but they are very well organized."
Pros: "Speed, crew, and reliablity."
Cons: "Food wasn't good, no entertainment or accessory plug ins, and seats were worn out! Not comfortable at all. Great leg room though."
Pros: "The staff and crew"
Pros: "Comfortable flight to Amsterdam for vacation in UK. More meals than expected. Also wasn't expecting some of the comforts offered to "regular" class seats like eye masks, ear plugs, pillows and blankets. It was an overnight flight, so maybe that should have been expected, but I don't think we had those 4 years ago when traveling overseas."
Cons: "Nothing. This is filler text to meet min characters."
Pros: "Flight attendants were friendly, but they only had limited resources to work with."
Cons: "Worst aircraft I have been on in years. No wifi or entertainment, no power outlets, only bad wine/beer for a 3+ hour flight is mediocre at best..."
Cons: "Horrible. First, we lost a suitcase. It could happen but for two days they did nothing and only told us stories (so as not to use the word lies). Within a few hours (and thanks to airline assistance) we were able to locate the suitcase. Even then it took them two days to bring it to us, two precious days off our planned vacation (7 days) At the end of the shortened vacation, we got to the chek in, and told that since the ticket I had purchased form them two months earlier was too cheap ... and since the flight was Over booked, they would take me off the plane if all the passengers would arrive. It's unnecessary to describe what I felt until the plane took off. They apologize constantly, but do nothing practical. a bae company. no me nor my freinds/family will go with KLM"
Pros: "Spacious cabins, friendly service"
Pros: "Flight crew on flight from Amsterdam to Cape Town were probably the most friendly and enthusiastic I've experienced and no, they were not all young. The plane was spotless throughout the flight. They were always coming around with water and juice and they genuinely seemed to care about all the passengers. The Flight back crew were just the opposite. More like the old lazy farts you get on the American carriers or BA or QF long haul. Whoo have been there for the long haul and should have stopped ages ago."
Cons: "The Entertainment images on the screens promoted Beauty and the Beast, Batman Lego movie but neither were on the system! Food quality was rubbish"
