Cons: "carry-on did not fit on center overhead compartment unless I put it side ways (Same carry-on suitcase fit nicely on Emirates airplanes, so the carry-on overhead compartments have been made smaller on Qatar on purpose or by engineering error, and I will not fly Qatar airlines again. Less food options. I went to the Gally and they only had kitkat bars for food. Emirates offer fruit, sandwiches, and many choices at ALL TIMES of the flight for economy class passengers. Entertainment computer (Android based system) ran slow and out of memory at times. Seats were not comfortable for 12hrs flight. My butt was starting to hurt. I did not have this issues on Emirates flights."

Way back flight changed and no accomodation made (a lounge, room, anything) for 7.5 hour layover "you'll just have to hang in there" in middle of night even though others on my tour with same issue in dubai got a room included. With added stress of going through qatar which i booked because of longer layover so wouldnt miss connection just before political decree announced, i will do anything to avoid qatar again despite the very friendly crew. And having to wrap my camera equipment to check it, get extra insurance, such a pain."

When we checked in for the flight, we had no ticket for the first leg of the flight, but we had tickets for the remaining flights. We immediately called to fix this problem, but due to slow customer service, we weren't issued tickets in time and the flight left without us. We missed all remaining connecting flights and were forced to buy New tickets. Now we have to work with kayak/priceline to get all my money back due to their error. Cons: "Every staff person we had contact with made us feel as though we were not a priority in any way. We were constantly given misinformation. Our flight was two hours out when it was returned to our departure city due to a passenger health issue. It was not properly explained to us and we were in no way compensated for the inconvenience. Once back at our departure city (Miami) we sat there for an hour or more. They chose to feed us during that delay. Due to this we missed our connecting flight in Istanbul to Rome. This also caused us to miss our transportation from Rome to Compania, Italy. We were told by airline staff on the plane that we would be put up in a hotel over night. When we arrived at the terminal we had no idea where we should go or who we should see. Every representative we spoke to told us to go somewhere else. Truth is it felt like no one we spoke to knew what to tell us or really cared at all. One representative told us we were not entitled to overnight accommodations. We insisted we were told we were and it literally took hours on the ground to straighten the problem out and get to a hotel. By then it was so late that we only got a couple hours of sleep and had to be back at the airport for our next flight. The second flight from Istanbul to Naples, Italy was better. I do not think I would use this airline again. My entire party got an overall sense that people were untrained and lacking in any form of customer service. Not the flight attendants but all the people we had to deal with on the ground. My age plus health issues and walking problems made everything more difficult. We were sent al over the massive airlines terminal with all our carry on luggage only to find when we got to where we were going we had been sent to the wrong place. On top of all this each of us had to pay a VISA fee to get out of the terminal and to the hotel. Just a total nightmare. Prior to taking this flight I contacted Turkish Airlines and spoke to a customer service person and explained that I needed to take with me a small portable oxygen concentrator that I would need to use while in Italy. I needed to know the procedure for bringing that equipment on the airline. I was told that although he could not answer that question He would pass it on to his supervisors and I would receive an answer via email prior to my flight. I never received a response and as a result did not have my needed oxygen while abroad."

The Turkish Airline staff informed us that we would have to wait 24 hours, purchase a hotel at our own expense, and acquire a Turkish visa, also at our own expense. When my husband asked to speak to a manager, it took 45 minutes before a staff member offered us another flight that arrived only a few hours later. All other staff members were on their personal cell phones and would not answer our questions. By the time our boarding passes we’re printed (an hour later)we had to run to our gate in order to make our flight. This left us no time to contact our driver who was picking us up and let him know when our next flight was arriving. We’re extremely disappointed in the customer service and appalled at the lack of professionalism."

Cons: "While the flight crew was great, the rest of the employees on the Toronto side were awful. Our plane was delayed from Dublin so most of the plane missed their connecting flight. Once off the plane they only had 2 people working rebooking and 2 working bag issues even though there was plenty employees around. After an incredibly long line, the gate agent was very rude. He barely acknowledged me, wouldn't look at me and just shoved my new ticket at me and said next. I tried to talk to another while waiting an extra 4hrs for my next flight and all she did was shove a business card with numbers and said if I had a problem to call one of those numbers and then rolled her eyes and started talking to her friends again. I saw another couple from my flight being passed around and getting rude treatment as well. Another I talked to said they will never fly Air Canada again. I know it wasn't their fault our flight was late but a little compassion and good customer service goes a long way. I had to spend $15 on dinner that I wouldn't if I had made my flight but they gave another couple from my flight $10 vouchers for food. So inconsistent! I also paid $100 extra on my ticket to sit closer to the front of the plane since I knew I had a short layover (which didn't make a difference) but they just gave the same seat to the girl next to me for the same reason. When I asked for a refund on the seat cost they just blew me off. To sum it up, the flight crew was great and very friendly but all the ground employees were awful and really need to improve on their customer service skills."

Our party of four had our luggage spread through THREE different planes. WTH? No customer service at DTW once we arrived and there were so many livid people. Absolutely awful. We were supposed to arrive at 5PM and it's now 3:11AM. My son just completed filing a luggage claim loss. And we are off to drive home to Grand Rapids two hours away. Nightmare."

When I email Air Canada they said they would get back to me within 30 days about my concerns."

If you're going to make it so passengers cannot use their own earphones without the sound being distorted, then please upgrade your earphones to something more comfortable. I would definitely recommend them to anyone flying abroad. They were efficient in the boarding process as well. I will be flying them again!"

Cons: "Just about everything. Not only were both flights delayed, one without notice, both the check-in and boarding processes were obscenely long with no obvious reason. On board, the staff was very pleasant but took almost 20 minutes to respond to a page and I only paged them one time. The screens for entertainment had a lot of trouble reading touch for both my seatmate and I and the selections were very limited. My seat did not recline which made for a very uncomfortable flight as I had hoped to be able to sleep. They lost one of my bags and somehow still have not found it more than 36 hours later."

Pros: "We got warm washcloths to refresh our hands and face. A full bottle of water to save as we needed, followed immediately by a beverage service and pretzels. Dinner of either fish or chicken was delicious, and included bread, cheese, salad, and dessert. Followed by additional beverage services, a mushroom calzone and finally Belgium chocolates. The crew was friendly and entertainment on personal monitors was very good. This was the best overseas flight I have had in several years."

Cons: "Despite the fact that I reserved a window seat, I was assigned a seat in the middle of the center row. They also 'sanitized' the airplane twice after that closed the doors before take off. They walked up and down the aisle with aerosol spray cans. I don't think people should be subject to unknown chemicals in order for the airline to save time on cleaning the cabin before take off."

Pros: "I was able to get home the next day rerouted with Lufthansa and they did provide a hotel and gave us a 15$ voucher."
Cons: "Missed an important day of work. Sat in the airport for 5 hours with little to no comunication from staff. They would constantly tell us they will make an announcement in 5 minutes but never had. JFK Terminal 1 is very unconfortable so that made the stay worse. The problem I had was with the fact that they could not tell us straight we are not going to fly."

Don't spill drinks on you unlike certain airlines (looking at you Air France) Decent in-flight entertainment system and comfortable plane (well, as far as you can get in an economy) Basically everything related to the actual flight was great."
Cons: "The fish entree was oversalted, but maybe that's how they eat fish in Belgium. In general airplane food took a huge nosedive in the last 10 years, so I'm not surprised."

Cons: "Boarding was in crammed area in between easyjet flights. In brussels they parked at the international gates and then an overfull bus took us to the arrivals. Is brussels airlines training fast to become part of euro wings?"

Cons: "No wifi and no electrical socket. By row 43, they ran out of blankets and dinners other than beef. The check-in website looked like it was from the 1990s. When I had to pay for a second bag at the airport (IAD) on the outbound flight, it took 15 minutes. When I came (BRU), they told me to wait in 3 different lines, wasting 30 minutes, before I got to the correct line. Then board the flight to return was a 45 minute delay. It's like these guys were totally new to the airline business."
