Cons: flights all on Delta - about one a week for 3 months straight - and yet when Delta cancelled my flight and re-booked they did not give me any upgrade or loyalty as I saw it - I had paid extra for Delta Comfort and they told me the flight they re-booked me on simply did not have any comfort available. However, I was not the one canceling the flight and re-booking - that is their problem and after so much loyalty for years I feel like I should have gotten some kind of upgrade for free...If I have to cancel - I have to pay fees - but if they cancel - I lose ...despite being a very loyal SkyMiles customer. I am quite disillusioned with Delta now and will have to look around to see what other airlines there are now - and my entire family - and what kind of loyalty they give to their loyal customers. Pros: The last time we flew Delta, we were underwhelmed. Our flight was delayed several hours and there was nothing exceptional about it when it did finally leave. That was 5 years ago, and there's been a lot of changes. There I'd now in-flight entertainment, reasonably comfortable seats, and everything was on time.

Pros: Although we ended up being stuck on the plane for 2 hours prior to take off due to high volume, weather and as the pilot put it, "possible military activity" the crew kept us informed every step of the way. There was one flight attendant in particular who was so full of energy and made the unfortunate circumstances not so bad. She entertained us and kept us in the loop the entire time as did the pilots. It made the 2 hours not feel so bad which was appreciated.
Cons: That we were delayed on the plane for two hours on a small plane but I know it was out of their control.
Pros: There were many delays and cancellations due to bad thunderstorms at LGA. Despite a few hours delayed (because the airport was closed due to the storm), the flight was still schedule to leave! I was very happy about that. They did issue waivers for those who could not make the later time. Once delta got the ok to fly.. The flight left the gate very fast and we arrived and exited the plane super fast too. The process was so efficient and quick, I did not feel the waiting period. The flight attendance were so happy and positive, they made he flight very enjoyable. Great job delta!

We were boarded onto the plane after it was nearly an hour and a half late, then waited in out cramped seats for another hour and a half as we continued to wait for the same piece of equipment. At one point a Delta employee announced over the plane's PA system that we'd be getting vouchers to compensate us for this absurd delay, but there was no explanation of how to claim those vouchers.

Cons: The fight was delayed multiple times, starting at a 5:44 takeoff and finally taking off around 9:15. It was delayed in 30 min increments, which made it hard to do anything else around the airport since I was constantly in a state of "about to board." A frustrating experience. No posts of extra snacks while waiting, or compensation or explanation of what caused the delay.
Cons: Due to weather patterns, we sat on the runway for 3 hours waiting to take off. There was approx. 50+ planes ahead of us. I know this because I was sitting next to an off-duty pilot on his way home. About 2 hours in, there was 30 planes left to take off, and then us. They air traffic control people were only letting off one plane per minute which is what was holding us. THEN after the 3 hours on the runway, our crew timed out and the brought us back to gate saying we were not taking off. At the gate, they informed us the flight was not 'cancelled' but 'delayed' to the following morning. I/m not sure how a 16 hour difference is considered 'delayed', but I digress. All Delta reps had NO idea the time of the new flight the following morning and told us all to just 'keep checking the app'. Now, fortunately for me I live in Brooklyn and could just go home. But what about everyone who was at LGA as a layover? I heard from multiple passengers they had to spend the night in a hotel, that Delta did not pay for. We finally got notice the new flight was scheduled for 9:30AM, which they AGAIN delayed until 11:30AM. Many people did not get the second change, and were already at LGA for the 9:30AM flight. To say Delta's handling of this was poor is an understatement. We knew when we got on that plane the crew was going to time out. Again, I was sitting next to an off-duty pilot who told me to 'get comfy, we're gonna be here awhile' the minute I sat down. Delta should have given us a fresh crew, or had a backup one prepared. I understand the weather is out of there control, and I understand you can't have a tired crew piloting an airplane, but there are other ways to have us take off remotely on schedule.
Pros: For a short-haul flight on a small CRJ, it was the most pleasing and comfortable flight. No delays and everyone was pleasant from ground staff to flight crew.
Cons: Delta doesn't manage their flight schedules and personnel with backup or standby crew in order to assist whenever there are delays across domestic flights. The plane was late to arrive at the gate and we were also told that while the pilot was ready to take off, we couldn't leave because we were waiting for a flight attendant to land from Pittsburgh (we were in La Guardia airport in NYC). delta would rather I convenience the flyer instead of hiring more personnel or figuring out standby or backup plans for delayed flights.

Cons: My seat was broken and when the seat in front of me reclined, it was very uncomfortable. I was just thankful it was an 1.5 hour flight and we didn't get stuck on the runway in NYC like my last two flghts.

Cons: Boarding process was ok (they bused us over to the plane and then had us walking out halfway to the plane's stairs before frantically sending us back on the bus because the plane wasn't cleaned yet). Not a big deal but we were traveling with a 10 month old so miscommunications like that cause a larger inconvenience than usual. The real downer on the flight was when we needed hot water quickly to warm our infant's bottle. The stewardess had begun beverage service and was about 8 rows away from us. My wife hit the call button, expecting the stewardness to come over somewhat quickly. Instead, she just continued beverage service and got to us about 15 mins later. By that point it was too late and the baby was wailing from hunger. When we asked why, knowing that we had a small child, the stewardness didn't just push the cart forward and attend to us more quickly, she said she didn't want to do that. No apology, not even a sense of remorse. At the end of the day, a customer's experience will always be tainted by poor service and that is what we received on our flight.

I am having knee surgery soon and the walk from security to gate 34 LaGuardia would have put me over the top with pain! It was a very nice gentleman that gave me a ride to the gate and even stopped to let me use the bathroom. Thumbs up *****
Cons: The fact that I was charged $150 to check a small cosmetics bag is no loose change ! I would have carried it on but my hand is in a brace and I has to have extensive surgery. Then yoy get to the gate, and they repeatedly asked for volunteers to check their bags for free. I think this is a very unfair policy and try to explain it to the curbside attendant. I literally cannot carry more than five pounds in my left hand until I get bone replacement surgery. I'm also having knee surgery soon and this small additional weight would be caused me excruciating pain ! They didn't care and still charged me $150 for a bag thats no bigger than 12 inches and weighs less than ten pounds. Thats the way you treat your first class passengers? One other quick note: the sausage and egg sandwich? that was served for breakfast was absolutely horrible! Thumbs down !

Honestly, if the delay is due to 'maintenance' for an incoming plane that has not left its originating destination, why quote any time at all? The check in rep did provide an announcement at 8:15 that although the time of departure had moved to 9:05 , he did not see how that was possible since our plane was on the ground in Richmond undergoing maintenance. I was in LGA. When I heard that, I changed to another flight, so the outcome was not as bad as it could have been. I am aware of these other times since my email is packed with Delta's notifications, which I welcome usually.

Cons: The American Airlines crew in Houston gave multiple people the wrong information regarding checked luggage for our connecting flight. Because the flight from NYC was over an hour delayed and the misinformation, several people missed the connecting flight. Hobby closes at a certain hour so I now have to wait until tomorrow morning to retrieve my carry on luggage the American Airlines MADE me check because of the group I was in. I called American Aurlines customer service line and they were not helpful. I will never fly American again.

After several delays, they started boarding us at 1:00am, but the boarding process so messy and confuse, the plane couldn’t took off before 1:40 by 1 minute and they had to cancel the flight with 200 people inside the plane. An absurd! Flight was rescheduled to today at 10am and obviously took off 1h delayed because AA can't organize simple things to expedite the boarding process.

Cons: Didn't like getting herded onto a shuttle bus where most people had to stand packed in like sardines, only to idle for 15 minutes and drive in a circle back to the gate because there was something wrong with the plane. Then the ambiguous delay that lasted three hours.

Cons: The gate agent made us starting in boarding group 6 out of 9 to check sizes of bags in the size box and she got into a verbal fight with another passenger. One guy told her she could board but the gate agent said no it didn't fit and she couldn't board. Then the agent claimed she had to gate check her bag and claimed there were no overhead spaces left. So everyone after that had to gate check. When I boarded there were at least 8 empty bins and I had not even gotten to my seat in row 22. The gate agent lied and slowed down the entire boarding process because she want to win a fight and show dominance over a passenger.
Cons: I was traveling with the exact same size suitcase I’ve probably traveled with as a carry on for at least 50 prior flights, and the boarding agent insisted it was too large. I am a very petite woman, and so when I carry a normal size bag, it can look large by comparison to my body. Once i land I rush to my gate because I only have 20 minutes before they start boarding ; I get to the gate and have to wait almost an hour. At this point I still havent eaten because I am waiting around by the gate and the attendants are not communicating any information. Then they finally tell us that the reason the fligt hasnt boarded was because the flight attendant misplaced her luggage in the previous flight and was waiting to arrive to the terminal. Now how is that my issue? American Airlines needs to do better!

Cons: I didn't like that American Airlines had not staffed our flight, so we waited for 4.5 hours for a flight attendant who would be able to complete the flight crew so we could leave. They kept delaying the flight, 5 minutes at a time, for 4.5 hours. It flew out of LGA, it was a 9pm flight. The airport food sources were closed, and AA kept us until 1am-- no food, no internet, and, because LGA has terrible cell reception, no phone service. Once we got on the plane, everyone was really hungry, and the plane had no snacks. No entertainment because the TV system was broken. It was just a miserable experience. I regret trying to save $20 by booking that flight. I have had nothing but terrile experiences on American Airlines-- NEVER AGAIN.
Cons: The kiosk had no where to enter my DoD number to get precheck. There was also no option to select military baggage. Due to the lack of options on the kiosk I had to wait in the customer service line for almost an hour. The flight was fine. Then my baggage turned out to be flying on a much later flight so it has to be shipped to me. I am very unsatisfied and disappointed with this airline.

Cons: AA needs to work on boarding logistics at LaGuardia. It's confusing to have to shuttle across the tarmac to another terminal. If the flight times had been closer I would not have arrived in time to board.

By the time we got to DC I had JUST missed my connecting flight. It was listed nowhere on the departures screen and I realized I had to take an outdoor bus to the other half of the "c" terminal which was very confusing. I got there and had missed the connecting flight and stand in line for 20 min for someone to tell me that I would be stuck in DC overnight. At this point rain had started pouring and they told me that because my mishap was due to weather they would provide no meal or hotel voucher. Weather was not the issue and I was stuck in DC overnight by myself and not compensated for hotels or meals.

I found strange flight attendants having a very loud conversation in a very quiet flight where most of the people were sleeping.

My wife's seat didn't recline because it was broken. And to top it all off they lost one of our luggage tags because the lady in Miami tagged the bag with somebody else's name and destination on it. We had a connecting flight to AMS with also TAP and had a two hour window to make the next flight with the same company (TAP). We were in line for passport and then security and talked to several TAP employees and they said we would be have time and wouldn't have a problem catching the second flight. Well, we got through the lines with 30 min before our next flight and they wouldn't let us on. Customer service and organization of the airline is really poor. The aircraft had minimal room and no entertainment. We got on our next flight five hours later and all they gave us was a $10 food voucher. So poorly managed.

Pros: The ride was comfortable, and the crew was attentive and pleasant. I loved the fact that i had a 10 hour layover, and I could go out into the city and do some sight seeing. This is not to the Airlines credit per say, but it was super easy. I enjoyed getting off on the tarmac just 200 feet from the building, was a nice sunny day.

Pros: As a professional musician, flying with my viola is one of the most nerve wracking experiences, as if it is forced to be checked due to insufficient room for overhead baggage, it could be completely destroyed. As stated in Air Canada's online policy, passengers traveling with musical instruments that fit as carry on baggage are allowed to change to earlier boarding zones. After approaching a staff member with my viola, I wasn't simply assigned an earlier zone, but rather I was allowed to board first. On this principle alone I will be flying Air Canada again. But on the day of flight, Air Canada refused their boarding, stating that they did not have Canada visas, the fight would transfer in Montreal which needs Canada visa. Finally, I found out that my parents had to transfer to Toronto, which does not need a visa. But in order to make the change, I had to pay Air Canada extra $1180, which were more expensive than the tickets self. At that time, I had no other choice. I am really upset. I want to warm all Chinese who don't have green card or Canada visa that do not buy tickets from Air Canada. Their customer service told me that they did not have the obligation to list this kind of information on their website. So if you choose Air Canada, you lose your money and deal with all the hassles by yourself. I will never use Air Canada in my whole life again.
Cons: My flight from NYC to Montreal was delayed 4 hours due to a storm that had passed earlier in the day. That was understandable, however we then sat on the tarmac at the gate for an additional hour because Air Canada's entire computer system suddenly crashed. We finally got to the runway and in the middle of takeoff the pilot slammed on the brakes and aborted the takeoff because he did not reach high enough speed. It was very scary. I was supposed to land in Montreal at 10:20 pm but arrived there at 2:30 am the next morning.

The weather was fine in both new york and toronto those days, and other toronto flights left on time. we ended up being delayed 6 hours in the airport, and other flights still went out ahead of us. furthermore, because our flight was delayed, they didn't seem to prepare for the new departure time, and we were held up for almost an hour on the runway before being able to take off, and almost 30 minutes on the runway once we landed too. better planning and customer service needs to be required in these situations.
Pros: We were lucky as we were the only flights that made it out of NY that night. All other fights to Toronto and Montreal were cancelled. It was Chaos in the airport but our flight was nice.

If you know there is going to be construction at the airport perhaps adjust your flight schedule accordingly and don't sell as many flights as when there is no construction?

But when your flight gets delayed over an hour due to their own computer system failing on the way to newyork and to not be compinsated at all its not acceptable. Even on my way home from newyork we were supose to board at 7:55pm and ended up boarding at 9:40pm. they decided to pick and choose people to be boarded on the earlier flight that was right before mine. Pros: We were delayed a little over an hour (on the field) before take-off because of information from Toronto that fog was delaying the landing time of the planes. The crew handled this excellently by making sure that we were made comfortable and the pilot gave us several updates as he got the information about take-off for Toronto. On the flight to New York on September 28th, I experienced my first landing where not even a tiny bump was felt when the plane touched the ground.

Cons: Our return flight was delayed due to maintenance issues and then cancelled after 2 hours of waiting. We got re-scheduled for a flight due to leave 5 hours from when the flight was cancelled. We stood in line to get on an earlier flight (there were 3 earlier flights) and got wait listed on one. Thankfully, we got on that flight however, we were in the airport for 8 hours from 8am to 4pm for a 1 1/2 hr flight. Our original flight was supposed to leave around 10am. No flight re-imbursement was issued to us, and we only received lunch vouchers after we asked for them.

I'm glad I went up to ask about my connecting flight to Athens; if I had waited and got on the flight, I would have missed my connection. The people at the AirCanada desk were nice, and were able to find us other seats. However, we were promised seats on the 7:30 flight, but instead were put on the 5:45 flight. We asked for the AirCanada person to call back and change our flight, but she said we would have time (at this point, 1 hour and 20 minutes before the flight left), even though I showed her that there was a lot of traffic between LGA and JFK and we probably would not make it. We had to leave LGA, find our bags and wait in a long taxi line to sit in traffic in a cab we had to pay for our of pocket, and could not make the 5:45 flight. I then had to call AirCanada and wait for 15 minutes for the lady to switch us to the 7:30 flight. In all, we also lost 2 full hours in Athens.

Pros: Flight was delayed several hours with no compensation given
Cons: Cancelled, terrible service, cancelled last minute, no reasonable options for rebooking, not enough staff, disorganized section at airport, rudest security ever.
Pros: Everything was on time, pleasant, and the best flight I had had in my last three trips with different airlines.
Cons: We were downgraded to a smaller plane, but it wasn't unpleasant--especially since the flight was only 1.5 hours.
Cons: Terribly slow security lines. Terribly slow custom lines with no one asking:"Does anyone have a flight they need to make soon?" to the line to get those folks rushed through. Left 20 minutes late due to 14 people stuck in those lines. Airplane sat 1 hour and 15 minutes on tarmac at Laguardia waiting for a gate. We were behind other planes waiting for a gate too. Once out of plane, tough time getting up to the terminal as the terminal was so crowded. Will avoid Air Canada and Laguardia like the plague.
Cons: I booked a flight for 8pm on Friday 7/29. Night of 7/28, I found out my plans changed and wanted to try and find an earlier flight. I called the help line and waited on hold for 1hour and 45min. The man I spoke with was able to move my flight to 12:50p for $200 change flight fee and $207 ticket difference. I arrive at the airport for this flight only to learn that the man last night moved my flight to the next day, Saturday 7/30. After over an hour of waiting and pleading, the check in attendant was able to get me back on my original flight and return the monies I paid for the seat change. However I had to wait at the airport for 8 hours until my flight, after wasting 2 hours on the phone and another hour at the check-in desk... 11hours total. THEN, they cancelled my 1:30pm return flight and could only get me on an 8pm flight, so another 8 hrs of waiting around. Customer service was terrible throughout. Will never fly this airline again

Cons: Late again, in the last 4 flights over the last 5-6 weeks I was on time once. Two of the last 3 flights you lost my luggage and both times I was told I would have it late in the day or early evening. 3 weeks ago I received it 36 hours later and yesterday I got it the next morning. 3 weeks ago the overhead lights did not work in almost the entire plan. Yesterday, my movie kept cutting out and the guy next to me and a few others too. I got so frustrated that I shut it off.

Cons: The crew member wasnt letting me on my connecting flight which i was late for because of delays Air canada caused for the previous flight. Even though my connection was grounded for an additional hour. Worst airline ive ever been on.
Cons: Although the flight to Canada was fine, the ordeal to try to get back was awful! So apparently Air Canada makes up whatever rules that they see fit but doesn't make you aware of them until too late. In Canada, the "International" terminal is not for every country, but for every country EXCEPT the US...I didn't realize that the "Air Canada English" is its own language. Also, they will resell your seat arbitrarily, without any previous warning and have no problem stranding you in a different country, forcing to pay exorbitant change fees. If you try to straighten the situation AFTER the entire fiasco, the only recourse is a random email. I would not only NOT recommend this airline, but I would stay far, far away from using Air Canada!
Pros: Air Canada canceled or delayed all flights out of New York on the night I was supposed to fly to Toronto, then Rio. Their delays effectively made me miss my connecting flight from Toronto to Rio. The airline employees told me they would not be able to get me to Rio for another two days. I ultimately cancelled my flight with Air Canada and booked a direct flight to Rio with American Airlines at the last minute, which was a much smoother experience.
