We were finally told we could get in a plane home Sunday, please to be transferred, starting the process over from the beginning. It was TERRIBLE, beginning to end!"

Pros: "We were offered food and drinks (including basic cocktails) continuously throughout the flight. Hot hand towels, comfortable seats, dozens of movies and TV series, all included with basic fare. The flight attendants were kind and helpful. Excellent service and organization!"

Cons: "I bought my ticket in October, checked in yesterday and when I got to my gate was told I didn't have an assigned seat!!? This was totally unacceptable, I was told I didn't select a seat on the seat selection screen and that I was now on standby. I specifically remember the seat selection screen being extremely misleading and thought that I had selected seats when in fact I didn't according to Delta. Maybe instead of focusing your website on getting customers to upgrade their seats you should focus on getting them a seat first. Secondly make sure tickets can't be purchased unless a seat is assigned first. Who would want to buy standby tickets 3 months in advance? I'm guessing not many people."

We were told it would be only a few minutes. Then we were told we would make up for the lost time, but that wasn't true and an additional half hour was lost on a holding pattern at LHR. We missed our connection. The instructions were unclear on what to do (contradiction between flight attendants and ground crew). By the time we picked up new boarding passes, we had already missed that flight as well and had to go to the customer service, which took another 45 min. Flight entertainment didn't work the first hour. There was a high pitched beeping sound during the whole flight (not the regular airplane noise)."

It seems like British Airways is too aggressive with overbooking the higher end sections of the flight, which seem much less likely to have people 'no-show' (either because it's for work or because they've spent so much for the tickets)."

I tried to explain to staff that her h4 visa is her us visa but didn't accept. I have no problem with uk policy but atleast britiah airways should let is know when we booked ticket that you need visa on your passport. I will never ever travel through british airways."

Then the tray was covered in useless extras - such as salad dressing (unlabelled, but that's what it looked like) and lime pickle, when the starter was a potato salad that already had a sauce and the main was pasta with tomato sauce and broccoli. They should cut out the extras and spend the savings on better starters and mains."

Cons: "I am emerald on one world. In the departure flight I was not able ot reserve an aisle seat during online checkin ( need to get up on flights quite a bit for health reasons). I had been assigned a window although aisles, my preference, were available. I sought to change seats from window to aisle and would have been charged USD $18 (on a flight within europe - why dollars?). The BA staff said the website would be fine on the return journey - but it was not. I arrnved at teh airport (not having checked in as I didn't want a window) and the BA staff person in 46 at 6:45pm simply said that's impossible to change anything - no apology; she seemed rather irritated to be asked. I then went to security and the machine for priority queue did not permit me to enter - it said 'invalid ticket'. Then the flight was significantly delayed. So all in all not a great day."

There was only one person servicing the entire group of people on the prior flight as a result it took us way longer to get to our connecting flight and we all ended up missing it. I had to spend over 12 hours in London .. Which was very uncomfortable and tiring for me considering my poor health, the previous 8 HR flight from Boston-London and the upcoming 9 hour london-Mumbai."

Later he said he gave me the preference for the earlier meal so this one shouldn't be a problem if I didn't get what I asked for. Totally blew my mind. The audacity with which he gave me his explanation was extraordinary. Sorry British airways, don't need that attitude. Wrote to them about this, haven't yet replied back. The flight was pretty old by itself. Not like the ones that go from London to United States. The Seats were smaller and had a very uneasy contour, the entire plane just looked a little banged up. The crew always seemed in a rush, to busy to even hear or look around."

Cons: "As a handicaped disabled not able to walk and should be using a wheel chair,as I know from my many previous travels with other companies like lufthanza, klm..etc, I used to be the first traveller to go to the air craft when loading it to take off and the last one who would be leaving it after landing. Even when going through the check and security points I used to go in a special route especially for the handicaped but going with all other normal travelers lines with such amount of time waiting and crowdness is completely inconvenient. what happened through the trip was quit different , going with the travelers or after when they are boarding the craft make it very hard and time consuming , Wish you take care of it, as it's a very important handicaped service. Pros: "The staff on board were excellent, very professional and efficient. Despite the fact we left an hour late, we arrived nearly on time, so kudos to the pilots!"
Cons: "We were delayed but didn’t get any updates from AA staff about new boarding times or gates. The WiFi onboard did not work; we could could connect to it but kept getting “Network Not Available” messages."

Cons: "American Airlines is terrible. Delayed flight, no notification when waiting for flight that flight is delayed (I received a text alert). Pilot had terrible landing. Would not fly American ever again."

Cons: "1) The handlers weren't at the gate to bring the gate to the plane so we could disembark. 2) After that, the door into the PHL airport itself was locked, and we had to wait almost 5 minutes for someone to come and unlock it. 3) One would think those delays would have given our baggage plenty of time to be unloaded, but no... First all the baggage from another flight emptied onto the baggage carousel, and then maybe 15 minutes or so later our bags began to dribble out. Our plane got to the gate a little past 9pm, I barely made it out of the airport by 10pm. It just shouldn't take that long."

Cons: "I didn’t like his attitude. I would request you to request the crew members to be kind to everyone. Since Iam vegtarian ..I couldn’t eat the egg that was served an hour before landing in Chicago. He could have given me the chocolate inside. He just said in haste this has egg. I told him oh I don’t eat egg, thank you. still he could have been considerate and offered me the chocolate “Toubolron” but he just went away. Later on I saw everyone eating the chocolate."

Pros: "The original flight time was an hour and 30 minutes. We got there in 45 minutes."
Cons: "The departure times changed several times and the plane was over packed to the point they had to put carryons into checked baggage."

Pros: "It was 1 in the morning in the Philadelphia airport and I had an 8 hour layover and there were no vending machines available and an airport worker went and got me a drink and some chips and would not take any payment. I call that going above and beyond his job duties. Very pleasant man."
Cons: "They layover was a little much and to get one with a better time was $300.00 and all I wanted to do was get to Watertown NY to see my grandkids."

Cons: "$50 bag fee. Attendants not friendly. The seat pocket had chewed gum on magazine. Trays were dirty when I turned on the light- looked like blood. Will not fly American anymore."

Pros: "Flight was delayed due to ice storm. AA personnel were calm and kept passengers informed of when we might expected to get the next flight out. They brought in sandwiches, chips and water, which was a thoughtful thing to do."

Cons: "Trying to figure out where to go in each airport for customs, integrations, and gate changes."

Cons: "I had a connecting flight in DFW to BOS. My plane left late from OKC, giving very little time to get to my connecting flight in DFW. The flight arrived in BOS and I got to the gate at 6:15pm; with a flight departure of 6:25pm. I felt the gate agent handled the situation very poorly. Instead of letting me, and another passenger with the same situation as mine, let us know why the gate was closed 10 minutes prior to departure was rude and brusque and said sorry, nothing could be done. A simple explanation of why we couldn't board would have gone a long way. She finally barked out for us to go to Customer Service to re-route us. Customer Service was very slow and the agents had attitudes. I did get on an AA flight the next morning, including comp vouchers for dinner and breakfast, but I missed an entire day of the conference I was attending in Boston."

Cons: "Food was very mediocre but nothing new in air travel. The biggest complaint is that there was no individual light available for each person to sue to read. On a transatlantic flight of 10+ hours that is not overnight, it is a bit much to expect customers to fill that much time if one cannot read because the lights aren't working. The flight attendant said it was a very old plane as the reason why, not exactly what one wants to hear. Also, the plane was different than the one I prepaid my seats for, thus the money I spent on bulkhead seats was wasted as we just got two normal seats. Not a good experience."

Pros: "Quick and fast. Slept through the landing and woke up to everyone gone and was in a rush to get out, but forgot my phone and passport, and I asked about it they went back there and looked for it for me and got it back. Over all good experience."

Cons: "Delayed for about 15 minutes on arrival, something about maintenance and the entry door."

As I was walking to the gate, one of the flight attendants that would be working this flight advised someone that was hurrying through the airport that they dropped something. While others may not have noticed or said something, she went out of her way to make sure the item got to its owner. It is little things like this that make life a little better."
Cons: "The thirty minute wait for luggage (which sometimes is quick for American at DFW)."

Cons: "When I got to the terminal there was no Iberia flight. Stuff from other flight company told me Iberia does not operate anymore. Shocked. I asked the stuff what to do, they called on the phone for me and told me their flights was transferred to American Airlines instead in another terminal. When I walked to the other terminal I was already too late. Paid $300 extra for rebooking. No one picked up the phone when I called service either. Never trusting this company again. Worst experience had."

So arriving at my connecting airport I literally had to RUN clear across be airport and the attendant tells me I was a "no show". So I would have to wait and go on a different flight. The plane was still there. It was 25 minutes before take off time. And she rerouted me onto a different aircraft in which I had to RUN to the other side of the airport again. Only to find out this flight was delayed for 45 minutes. In which adding on to me already delayed flight. I understand some things are out of everyone's control. But the lady made me feel like I was just looking around in shops instead of being where I needed. Never again."

Then the attendant acted as if he couldn't understand my request for a "cup of ice, please" and he tried to hand me a small package of snacks. I had to repeat myself 2 more times and finally got my cup of ice. I said "thanks!" His look told me I wasn't "welcome"."

And they ran out of meal options even though I indicated them at the time of booking. - Not so clean - Sickness bags were used ones and had something in them. Clearly, they were not replaced. Toilets didn't have basic supplies like moisturizers. Not to mention they were super cramped. - Entertainment system was out of 60s. Small LCD and were of the smallest resolution and viewing angles - made watching anything akin to watching those cam rips floating all over internet. - Cramped leg room. And the premium seat didn't have any better room. Overall, one of the poorest flights I have ever flown on. Even Air India has much better planes and service."
