The ostensible delay was the incoming plane, which landed before 10 PM but - lo and behold, it was an international flight, surely something we didnt know when it took off - it went to gate 94 and had to be cleared blah blah blah. Each delay was predictable and JetBlue could easily have simply informed the passengers that we would be delayed 90-120 minutes rather than stringing us along with bite sized delays with insipid explanations. If there was really anything to JetBlues "award winning customer service" I would imagine they would have not insulted everyone's intelligence and been honest about the delays - which pushed arrival time to 2 am. I travel a good bit - three or four times a month - but cant remember the last time I flew JetBlue. JetBlue will certainly be right there with Frontier and Allegiant on airlines I'll seek to avoid. I dont know if it was just base level incompetence or if they dialed it up for the occasion, but it was on full display for the holidays."

When speaking on phone with agent, I was told it wasn't due to weather but incident at LaGuardia where plane went off runway. I paid $130.00 for 5 hours in a hotel, due to pilot error, not weather. La Guardia opened it's other runway immediately after and other airports in NewYork were running fine. Completely unacceptable and extremely bad customer service as CSR simply told us "sorry we can't help". Will never book with West Jet again."

They talked down to the customers and have no regards for customers with special circumstances. I was personally not affected but what I witnessed was the disgusting. I felt like it was the attendant responsiblity to make sure everything on the boarding pass was correct, and my reason for saying so is I was too busy or focused on getting to security and thinking about the rest of my travel. it was just my luck that I remember to check my online itinerary that was sent to me via email to see the gate number. I know this may not be the airlines fault, but On my flight we left ahead of time and landed super on time, but still spend almost an HOUR!!! due to some maintenance issue at the gate in Atlanta. It was an horrible experience, I had a meeting I was suppose to be at at 8am. Everything was going so right with the flight I felt like I was going to make it. Cons: "After spending $90 on the flight I got to check in the day of and find that it is going to cost me $40 down and back to bring a CARRY ON. I then find some fine print that says how to get around the $80 round trip fee. Get a carry on that fits under the seat in front of you. So I pack in a small backpack that can "fit under the seat in front of me" and have less clothes than I want for my trip but am able to offset the almost 100% increase in cost. They didn't appear to care that people had carry on at the terminal despite saying it was going to cost way more to check at the terminal than online. So some people had paid, other didnt. That seemed to irritate some of those who had paid as we talked about this with other people on the flight. I probably could have brought a full size carry on and not had to pay for it, but who knows. On our way back, we were 30min early on 5:45AM flight from ORLANDO, GREAT RIGHT?...but because Frontier did not have their act together, there was no terminal for us to unload from. We actually then waited on the tarmac for over an hour waiting for Frontier to back a plane out that was not even flying until later that afternoon. Our seats in our row did not recline back. I dont know if that was part of the low budget thing or something was broken. We were not in front of an exit row. There was not actually a button to push, so I assume it was part of the low budget thing and they just don't recline. On check in, more cost issues come up - pick a seat...not just a seat for things like extra leg room or up front. They will make you pay for a middle seat next to the toilet if you want it. No one wants that seat, but if you want to sit next to the people in your party, you are going to have to pay for it. I wouldnt recommend it to anyone. I was going to give it a little bit of a slide b/c I knew that it was a budget airline, but, after all the nickle and dime issues, when we had to wait for an hour on the tarmac, I blew an internal fuse and just made my overall bad experience, worse."

The seats are like lawn chairs, the trays are metal slabs too small for anything and everything on the plane is noisy! We had a child who would not quit playing with his tray or arm rest. Pinging or crying all the way to Atlanta. Bellowing not just crying! Yes, I have children and yes I know how hard it is to fly with a small child. But not once did his mother make him stop! My teen had her first flight anxiety attack due to the consent pinging, crying and the scary flying maneuvers from the pilot. Never flying Frontier again!"

I expected the checked bag fee but they actually charge MORE for carryons. Then when we got to the airport there was a weight charge on top of that. Then, once on board there was a charge for a drink. EVEN WATER. The plane was new, but the seats were hard with little padding and don’t recline at all. Forget about using the tray table, it’s just big enough to set most modern smartphones on. If you buy spirit thinking it was a d al like I did, you will be disappointed. All the fees we ended up paying put the cost above what it would have been to fly southwest."

I mentioned the problem 3 times to an employee standing there viewing the lines getting longer and longer. She did nothing about getting the middle line some help. She made it worse by feeding another line to theslowmiddle agent. Spirit airlines does not need to reinvent the wheel. One line accessing all agents works!! It really does!!"

Understandable, however, they gate agents never gave an explanation (also, all screens other than the one at the gate did not say our new departure time, only that it had a "new time"). When we were in the air and beginning out descent, we suddenly felt weightless and then very heavy in our seats. I looked to the left, out the window, and another airplane could be seen at our same altitude beyond our wing. For an idea of how close the other plane was, hold your thumb and forefinger two inches apart at arm's length. That's how big the other plane was from my vantage point. My mother in the front of the plane got motion sick from the maneuver (if it hadn't woken me from sleep, I probably would have been too). From my seat a few rows behind the wing, I could see the air brake panels come up on the wing. In addition, customer service has been a pain to deal with. Would not fly their airline again - would rather pay more and go elsewhere."

Cons: "The reason for the 0 score is my first flight on August 14 2016 flight 781 got canceled witch made me and my lady miss our cruise departure time with carnival cruise lines being stranded in Baltimore for 3 days until I could get family to rent me car so we could drive 12 hours all the way back to Georgia because your flight attendant said we could not exchange our flight tickets to go to Georgia that we could only fly to our original destination Orlando but like I explained to them that our boat already left and that we just wanted to go home and to top it off when I talked to the flight associates they told all of the passengers that the plain has been having a shaking problem for quite a while and it has been reported a couple of times and when the maintenance people where out looking at the plane August 14 2016 flight 781 that they could not figure out what was wrong with it that they didn't see anything but since it has been reported before multiple times that now the plane had to be shut down and closer inspected so not only did We get stranded in another state for a couple of days I lost money on my cruise that I never got to go on that was planned for 6 months but I lost out on about $1400 dollars on the cruise and plain tickets due to your company poor maintenance on your plains I will never book with your company again and believe me nobody I know will either and I will be filling a claim to get my money back for missing this flight August 18 2016 Flight 676"

On my return flight to Orlando, one flight attendant talked loudly about his personal finance plan, while the father of 3 kids across the aisle climbed the chairs like a jungle gym, in flight. The flight attendants never attempted to talk to the man & let him know his kids needed to be seated for safety. Everyone within 10 rows of this family had a terrible flight & no staff even attempted to acknowledge any of it. I will never fly Spirit again."
