Cons: "The lounge is a bit far from the departure gate, so I waited with regular economy class travelers. It would have been nice to have had a closer dedicated area for business class."

Firstly the flight was delayed, these things happen but nevertheless I end up missing my connecting Qatar flight to Belgrade, put into a horrible little hotel for 24hrs without my bag, no clothes or toiletries. At one point during the flight once everyone had their chairs reclined one hostess told me to not put mine so far back?!?! Then when asked well then person in front of me has to move theirs forward and her response no they don’t. Absolutely shocking. To think I wanted to upgrade to business class. I’m traveling the globe over the next year and thought let me try Qatar but never again with this type of service and how they treat their customers."

Cons: "Unfortunately, the plane was late, prompting me to miss my connecting flight. These things happen, I understand, but most upsetting was the fact that Qatar Airways provided very little information to those of us missing our flights. While on the plane, when those of us with short layovers mentioned that we may be late, we were told "you'll be fine - they hold the planes for a bit." When we deboarded the plane from New York, we ere wrangled into groups depending on our destinations. Many of us assumed that we were going to be taken to our next flights as we had been told they would be waiting for us. The airline rep in charge of my group refused to tell us any information, however, only admitting after we got confrontational with her that we had missed our flights. She then offered no information about what would happen to us, telling us we'd find out when we got to the rebooking counter. Very unprofessional. I was told that I would have to wait for another 24 hours for the next flight, necessitating that I would spend the night in Qatar. I was put up in a hotel that was decent, but again that offered very little in terms of customer service. We were given an $80 meal allowance, but despite me not using it, I was nickeled and dimed in other aspects to where I ended up paying $20 to help reschedule a flight that I had missed in my destination country. The whole ordeal was a nightmare and mostly due to poor communication and very cold, almost robotic interactions with the QA staff on the ground in Doha."

Pros: "This review is for return travel from ATL to MAA (Chennai, India) and back. Route: ATL-DOH: about 14.5 hrs; DOH-MAA: about 4.5 hrs; Likes: 1. Baggage check-in process was simple and easy. 2. Meal preferences was good - I'm a vegetarian and on the onward journey forgot to specify the meal preference but the crew had enough inventory to meat the requirements. 3. Every seat was provided with a small plastic pouch/packet/goodie bag that consisted of a eye mask (very thoughtful), pair of sock, toothpaste+brush (very thoughtful), hand cream. This was very useful and effective. 4. Entertainment - options were good and current."
Cons: "Dislikes: 1. Online check-in wasnt easy; towards the end of the process, there is an option to email the boarding pass but this never worked. Not sure if this is something to do with the browser (tried with Firefox, Opera) 2. It would have been good, as part of the online check-in, if the users reminded to specify the meal preferences, etc. I forgot to specify the meal preferences but thankfully the crew had enough of what I wanted. 3. Take a relook at the packaging of the toothpaste tube in the goodie bag. It was sealed in such a way that it was difficult to open it w/o a sharp object. This should have been easier. 4. Seats were the worst part - poor legroom. Worst, the seat cushion is the worst. I think it was just a fabric over a metal seat with minimalist of cushion. ATL to DOH leg was the worst (and the longest leg of the trip). Unless you have open seats next to you it would be a back breaking and painful trip. Seat comfort wise, I would rate Qatar as the worst. Luckily on the return leg (DOH-ATL) next two seats to mine was empty, so was able to stretch and sleep well. DOH-MAA or MAA-DOH seating was little better (think its a older plane; newer planes have worst seats) 5. The website was damn slow while accessing from overseas. Even in the US, at times the website hangs-up, freezes or spins often. 6. Food was ok -dinner and lunch but minimalistic; I didnt see any specific breakfast menu or any coffee served separately (was part of beverage option during lunch or dinner) 7. There was no alert, communication, notification, reminder of upcoming trip via email or text, etc. Many airlines does this very often but Qatar was totally silent on it (they did have my email during checkin). Not sure why."

Fortunately the pilot made up for the delay (probably costing the airline thousands in fuel). It seems these days that every KLM flight I take is delayed. This stretch goes back to 2015! Yet KLM prides itself as being punctual. Not the KLM that I have been flying!"

Cons: "We turned around due to equipment issues and had to spend the night. While American picked up the tab, instead of staying at one of the hotels on-site, we were shipped via bus to a low-rate hotel roughly 45 minutes away. Did not feel safe that night!!"

Cons: "It would have been helpful if American Airlines would notify passengers when they have selected a window seat where no window exists. I am very broad shouldered and that extra 3 inch well the window creates is crucial for me. Terrible 4 1/2 hours in a very uncomfortable position."

Cons: "The hardest thing about any air travel is cramp seats in coach. That being said, AA makes the best of your cramp quarters with free online movies and television, and a power outlet for your cell on the headrest in front of you, which is so convenient and makes up for the tight seating!"

Was shocked by lack of assistance in finding new flights, alternative methods of transportation to destination, etc. Eventually rescheduled for red-eye flight the following day (over 24 hours later). Found alternate transportation. Don't feel like I could trust AMERICAN with my travel plans again."

I was sitting in a crammed seat and to make it worse the tv wasn’t working. It was on but I couldn’t change any channel. It was over a 6 hour flight that seemed even longer."

Cons: "American Airlines won't let you buy emergency row exit seats (or bulk head) because the 'code share' prevents them from advance seat sales. I was told I could do it at check in in Los Angeles. But those seats were sold out long before we even got to LA! I contacted American Airlines Customer Relations about 1 month prior to my flight. I completed their online form detailing the problem and asked if there is any way I could buy extra leg room seats. But they never even bothered to respond. I got the automated email acknowledging receipt of my complaint and assuring me I would be contacted soon. NOT!!"

FAA should investigate with the decreased aisle width and distance between the seats, can the evacuation be completed within required time, in an actual emergency. Pros: "The AA app for entertainment works well, friendly crew."
Cons: "The flight was delayed 90+ minutes, yet they didn't tell anyone until 90 minutes prior to departure. They knew of system delays and should have updated many hours before the flight but they didn't and had us all there very early waiting around doing nothing."

Pros: "Bought a ticket from Alaska Air, but got farmed out to American, If I wanted to fly in American, I would have bought a ticket from them. This also made checking in a lot more confusing..."

Cons: "The plane crew was great. The ground crew in Paris was terrible. They were so rude and unhelpful."

Pros: "787 is a nice plane. I also like getting miles since I accumulate most miles with United. Not much else to boast about."
Cons: "The outbound plane from Newark to Frankfurt was late by 1.5 hr because United could not figure out how to bring the plane (that was sitting in the middle of the airfield to the gate and then they realized that they need get catering supplies to feed the passengers and we were waiting for that too. The inbound flight from Frankfurt to Newark was late by 1.45 hours since they were fixing a computer problem on board. The flight was totally over air-conditioned and when I asked to bring an extra blanket for me the flight attendant started lecturing me that I was wearing shorts and a polo shirt (in the 86F heat at FRA and EWR it was ok!) and that she had no blankets. The second flight attendant who for some reason came 2 miins after the first one apologized for the attitude of his female colleague and immediately brought me an extra blanket."

Cons: "Food was plane food however it was adequate."

Cons: "25 people aprox loose the connecting flight"

Cons: "The uNited app could not stream video well. The connection was too slow. Too much buffering."

Cons: "Again crew seemed annoyed with people. The flight was delayed 2 hours. The person giving info and safety demonstration talked so fast no one could understand them."

Cons: "We were delayed over 3 hours due to a mechanical issue."

Pros: "I got an upgrade to economy plus for the first time in my life. The supper was good, the service was efficient and the staff was courteous, one of the best flight crews that I’ve had with United flights, and the extra leg room was a great welcome."
Cons: "The snack and breakfast were left to be desired. Upon arrival to destination, we had to wait for one hour and ten minutes for a gate to be available in spite of clear weather. I made my connecting flight just in time. Many other passengers missed their connecting flights. In this situation, it would have been appreciated if there were staff to direct us to help speed up the process, but most passengers with connecting flights were running around like headless chickens and loosing patience as we were left to fend for ourselves. Once again, United managed to drop the ball."

Cons: "Long delays in both trips. 6 hours stuck in Munich & 24 hours in Luxembourg. Asked to get on earlier flight-was told not possible even though 27 seats open. Not possible to check in online and chose seats."

Cons: "Crew members were pretty loud for an early morning flight as they walked down the aisle. Early morning flights should also have the screens off and if people want them then they can turn it on, instead of the other way around."

Cons: "I didn't like there UNITED Airline connecting flight. United flights are not comfortable at all especially seat. There in-flight Touch Screens are pathetic. Either United Airlines need to upgrade there planes or Lufthansa should think of avoiding them for international flights"

Cons: "Boarding could be done by letting people with window seats being seated first, then the middle seats next and finally aisle seats last! That way people would not have to get up from their seats after they have been sitting down to get back up to allow the people in the inner seat to get to their seats a pond boarding the plane after the people in the aisle seat are already sitting!"

Cons: "The flight was supposed to arrive in Greenville at 6:41 pm, we never arrived until after 11 am."

Pros: "The crew was nice and understaffed...but they gave us a heads up, which is always a plus, and I think they tried to make up for it. I definitely saw a lot of people raising their hands...but the crew was there to help out. Kudos to them! And I was in Economy, which definitely doesn't offer much room for a man who's 6'1". However, overall, I was comfortable and not disappointed in my purchase at all--especially for a 10+hr flight."
Cons: "I think the flight was fine. I just wished that for a flight that's 10+hrs, that there would be screens in the back of each head rest, like there is in the domestic flight. I think that makes more sense. I would also be more inclined to make movie/tv purchases, in order to keep myself occupied."

Cons: "My flight from Seoul to Portland, OR was cancelled. They made us wait on the plane for 5 hours trying to reboot the plane and could not let us off during it due to customs which is understandable. However the process of rebooking the flight was a nightmare. I waited in line to rebook for 4 hours. They flew me to Japan, then to Denver and then to Portland without any seat reservations. They didnt want to provide any customer service or upgrades. It took me 48 hours to get back home. The flight attendants were also rude on both legs home. All in all, I would never recommend United for international or domestic flights. They have poor customer service and their planes are always delayed."

They didn't even speak the language when 95% of the passengers were Korean. Then they would get frustrated that they couldn't understand. I also hit my call button three times to ask for a pen to fill out customs sheet, but no one came after waiting 30 min. I assumed they were busy, so I got up and walked. But nope, they were all just hanging out in their area chatting and drinking. Ive never written a bad review, but in this case I almost even said something on my way out of the plane because it was just that bad!"

It was terrible."

Cons: "Because of a 2+ hour delay in Milwaukee we missed our connecting flight in Denver to Medford and had to stay overnight. Sitting in isle 1 was uncomfortable and it was a pain not having immediate access to my purse because I had to stow it for take off and landing."
