On top of that when I originally booked my flights, I had made sure to have 1.5 hr for a layover between my connecting flights. Well, they decided to move up my connector such that I had 25 minutes to run across 2 terminals. They only give you pretzels on the plane, and a single soda drink. They offer you "food bundles" but why do I want to pay $8 for a sandwich that costs $1 to make."

Despite us getting held up in traffic and running quite late, staff members of both American Airlines and Qantas were extremely calming and reassuring the whole way through. Their only obligation was to get us to Rome; the time didn't matter. (3) Our row had no fans. (4) The entertainment system was poor and there was little to pick from. My husband's didn't even work. They reset the system three times, to no avail. When he asked what could be done, they said, "It's a gift..." My husband shared that he had spent over a $1000 for the flight and expected working entertainment. Might he try contacting customer service? The hostess laughed in his face and said, "You can try." And then, "Just take a nap." I seriously have never been treated with such aggressive contempt on a flight. Not just poor service; it was as if they were actively trying to be rude."
