Cons: "Check in was a disaster with the computer system down. The gentleman that helped us was lovely but system issues kept us at check in a very long time and unfortunately that together with the crazy insanely long distance to our gate- then only to take a bus- we did not have time to pick up any food or make any stops which we counted on and had arrived 2.5 hours ahead of time to check in to allow for."
Pros: "On time and quick."
Pros: "Staff at SAN was good helpful. Check in was seemless."
Cons: "Wishing that they would serve something to drink — even if I would have to pay for it. Flight attendant gave me wrong directions and I left for another terminal while my carry on luggage (which had to be checked) was still at the gate. I had to wait until it arrived at baggage claim."
Pros: "Everyone was very professional and pleasant."
Cons: "All great today."
Pros: "The crew are always excellent."
Cons: "The comfort is horrible. Airline companies keep shrinking the seats and charging more. Also they keep serving less food. And flight changes."
Cons: "i couldn't get my seat before the flight. Coouldn't even find out it was on American airline. So I couldn't get gluten free meal for any of the legs of my journey and I have celiac's disease. A real problem!!!!!"
Pros: "everything was smooth"
Cons: "Nothing bad about the trip"
Pros: "Smooth ride, easy security"
Cons: "For an international flight it was very cramped seating - much worse than the connecting domestic flight."

Cons: "The 4 1/2 hour departure delay"
Pros: "The pilot did a great job flying. Very smooth."
Cons: "The flight attendants were pretty mean and just overall dissatisfied. Apparently we had community water to share? Everyone gets water from the same bottle?? Too strange."
Pros: "I usually don't like or at the meal in coach, but I had a ravioli pasta dish that was great. Also the wine was a much better quality then what I have been getting on the other airlines."
Cons: "On my particular row of seats the power outlets were dead. The flight attendant tried to reset, which reset the entertainment but the outlet remained dead. Used the USB port to charge."
Pros: "Nothing at all"
Cons: "Never should have been on this later flight which also took off late. And I don't even know where my luggage will end up. I should get an apology and cash for my troubles."
Pros: "Flight was on time"
Cons: "Since we have an AAdvantage CitiCard and are AAdvantage members, it is disconcerting to have to claim your privilege of 1 free bag and priority boarding each time. This is embarrassing at the gate especially since it looks like we are cutting the line. What good is this "privilege" if you have to assert it every time or hold a credit card in hand with your carryon and boarding pass. This should be included in our ticketing at the time of purchase and upgraded on our boarding pass if we use the damn card for the purchase. It is now not a "privilege" but an inconvenience."
Pros: "we have a very old plane from rome to chicago no entertainent"
Cons: "it was a 10 hours fly in a old plane without any charger for computers and tablets,no individual tvs"
Cons: "I paid premium price for comfort and to be treated at least nice! In the business cabinet! Other than the seat which by the way mine was broken so I couldn't get to the position I'm the most comfortable, everything else I could have gotten in the economy seat. Crew was not welcoming, the had big attitudes as they were doing me favors! Which they are not! And they didn't check at me at all. Fly got delayed more than 2 hours didn't offer more drinks or snacks! Food was horrible so I was very hungry since I couldn't eat it! And the snacks were available at the back much later but when I went to check it out almost everything was gone! Other airlines come to offer you snacks! AA did not and the make me feel like an intruder when I went to check the empty snacks trays! Only the package food was still available. Horrible service, mean big headed crew! It's is simple! Be nice and make an effort! Especially for the people that actually is there paying the premium!"
Cons: "Missed my connection in London due to a computer malfunction that took over an hour to remedy. In getting to London, I was automatically rebooked, but with a flight that got me in 10 hours later than expected. I asked customer service about alternate flights, with or without connections, that might get me in earlier, but was given a quite curt, "that is not possible," and turned away. Even if that was the case, which seems unlikely given the multiple other flights arriving in Luxembourg from European airports earlier in the day, it was not particularly friendly."
Pros: "Flight attendants were great. Also rearranging our seats so that we could sit next to our 2 year old daughter was very helpful."
Cons: "The space between seats are too small, and the seats do not recline enough (very uncomfortable)"
Cons: "Boarding process was a chaos. Thing should not be done: such as re-screened passenger boarding pass and passport for nothing since we went thru 2 times security and border protection. Thing should do: organize boarding zone. all passengers had boarding zone on boarding pass but went in like first come first service."
Pros: "The in-flight entertainment interface was well-designed. The aircraft tracker is the best, the media selections were plentiful. Having the usb and headphone plugs next to the monitor is the best. Better than Virgin for sure. But strangely, you couldn't order from the food and drinks menu like you can from Virgin so it was just a video version of the menu card. Food was good."
Cons: "Someone destroyed a lavatory so we were short one for the flight and caused a 30 minute delay before take-off. The usual spiral happened: pilot flew into bad turbulence to make up time. No biggie."
Pros: "Got pretty much what I expected from economy."
Cons: "Lack of planning for carry on bags."
Pros: "The first leg of trip had a newer aircraft......potentially due to the "mechanical delay" that started the fiasco."
Cons: "I don't usually do reviews, but this experience has prompted me too. I usually pick American over other airlines even if the price is slightly higher but after this last fiasco I doubt I will fly with them again. From the start of the trip there was a delay. I was told that I would have to stay in a hotel in Charlotte because I would miss my connecting flight. I agreed and waited for my flight that was nearly 2 hours late. I arrived in Charlotte and retrieved my bag as instructed and went to the counter. The lady then stated that it was probably best if I tried to get on the last remaining flight even though it showed sold out because "there have been delays all day and plenty of people have been missing their connecting flights". So I rechecked my bag and headed to the game. This flight was delayed, as it was the last for the night, so that all the connecting flights could be made. Okay, that is fair enough....even though I didn't get to board and now I no longer had my bag as this is now on the plane. 30 minutes after the plane left I finally get my voucher for motel along with a $12 voucher for food that can only be used in the terminal restaurants......which are now closed for the night. After 30 minutes of trying to contact the hotel for shuttle information I was advised that they were no longer taking airline vouchers. I , again, approached the ticket counter and I was advised that I "would just have to wait because there are no rooms in the system at this time." And none of this instruction seemed professional or accommodating. After another hour I was approached that now there are no other options in their system for accommodations and I would have to pursue options on my own. So......the higher priced one way ticket just became $100 more at no fault of my own."
Pros: "No delays except for weather."
Pros: "The passengers"
Cons: "A/c was broken"
Pros: "i have to pay $90 for my seat"
Cons: "The plane was delayed over an hour."
Pros: "It was a short flight. It was on time and very easy to board and deplane."
Pros: "Liked that they let me carry on my luggage and put it in the overhead instead of making me check it like they did on the flight from Myrtle Beach to Philadelphia."
Cons: "Would like the "whole" can of soda."
Cons: "Our flight was delayed due to bad weather in Phoenix. The agents when we landed in Phoenix were remarkably unhelpful when it came to rebooking our flight. When I finally got LA after flying into another airport instead of my original destination, it was ridiculously painful to file a claim to get my bag which had gone to LAx. After filing the claiM I waited several Hours then decided to call And that's when I realized they hadn't even scheduled my bag for delivery though I was told that spas already taken care of. I had to go get my bag myself."
Cons: "Airline gate attendent gave us the wrong information for the connecting flight and we nearly missed it"
Cons: "When I called AA on July 13 because there are no seats left for me to reserve for my ticketed flight home on July 22, they blamed it on you, Kayak, for not having me reserve them when I bought the tickets (tix purchased May 10 for a July 15/July 22 return flight). What is your process for ensuring your customers have reserved seats? I had booked seats for one leg of my flight at time of purchase but not any other legs ... doesn't make sense to me why I would not have done all at the same time unless I couldn't because it was too early? Please advise. BTW - I still don't have guaranteed seats for my flight from Phoenix to Boston on July 22. Any help you can provide is appreciated."
