Cons: "Flight had a/c that didn’t cool - everyone was incredibly hot and complaining. Flight delayed for an hour and a half with no reason."

Cons: "We lost the conection because pre departure there swas an issue with one of the wings of the plane and took about 30 min. Afterwards after landing the plan had to wait another 15 minutes waiting for the gate. American Airlines atributed the issue to weather conditions in Vancouver, false."

So we had to cancel our reservation and get refunded... except American says talk to royal jordanian, royal jordanian says talk to air booking. Air booking isn’t reimbursing us and want US to pay $400."

Cons: "The crew was basically useless. They hung out in the back not really paying attention or just in the way. One stewardess knocked me in the head when passing through and didn’t even apologize. No one greeted or told goodbye at the end."

Pros: "I have never experienced as smooth a landing on both legs of the trip. I’ve never flown American before and in comparison to other air lines I think they must have the most experienced pilots. Everything else was equal in quality to other US airlines I’ve flown, the usual stuff on long distance flights - but I felt the staff were a notch above the others as regards friendliness and helpfulness. I had a very smooth trip, no delays or problems. I will fly with them again."

Cons: "Realized I left my iPhone in pocket of my seat as soon as I exited plane - spoke to gate agent within 1 minute of leaving plane and she Asia she would get the cleaning crew to look while I waited. Waited 20 min only to hear a bunch of lies about how they asked the flight attendant to look but she couldn’t find it - should have just walked back on plane to do it myself. Was told to “go online” and file a lost and found report. This is a small airport - TRI cities TN - absolutely zero customer focus by and American Airline employee - and I asked to sp all with a supervisor and manager with the hope I would get my phone back. Worst service and zero caring attitude I’ve dealt with - and I fly a lot. It will be Delta from here on out. I went on line and filed a complaint and lost and found report - am betting a large amount of money I hear nothing other than an automated reply."
Cons: "I didn't like having someone put a red tag on my carry on for valet when it didn't have to be taken. I would have rather kept it near me!"
Cons: "We left two hours after scheduled departure bc 1) the plane was late from prior flight and had to be cleaned, 2) engine check delayed the flight, 3) strong winds forced the airport (JFK) to use only one runway for departures and so on top of our plane delays we were delayed an extra half hour bc of airplane traffic. No entertainment onboard, meaning no screen on back of seat in front for movies, tv shows, etc. Food options were poor, especially breakfast (too much sugar content in all contents of “continental breakfast” pack."

Cons: "American airlines mishandled my luggage. Extremely poor communication about status. (I don't know how much all my phone calls to them will end up costing!) Two and a half days later, I have to return to the airport to pick it up. If you travel with AA, pack MORE than essentials in your carry-on! Also it is criminal that they charge extra for aisle seats!"

Cons: "Luggage did not make the transfer on time (Chicago-Charlotte after Tokyo), although they had about 45 minutes to load it. Do not buy an international ticket with less than 1.5 hours transfer time. (It took 45 minutes to get through customs/immigration and retrieve luggage for transfer."

No one at the gate in Paris to tell me the next switch....Not British Airways but Aer Lingus totally different flight number and on the other side of the airport. Got sick of climbing stairs. American should have had an English speaking greater to tell me about the Aer LIngus switch. Took me 3 hours to figure it out on my own, go through security twice and barely make the flight to Dublin."

Pros: "Again the wheel chair attendant was helpful, patient and considering we were not feeling well, assisted us at customs. We are seasoned travelers and this is not usually how our travels usually go. We appreciated the wheelchair services, the flight attendants."
