People traveling to Lebanon will be required to comply with testing and self-isolation measures to reduce the spread of coronavirus. Check with the airline and Lebanese embassy before booking.
Travelers must present a medical certificate with a negative COVID-19 PCR test result issued within 96 hours prior to travel to be allowed to enter the country unless they have documented proof of testing positive for COVID-19 more than 15 days prior to arrival, an IgG positive test showing sufficient antibodies, or proof of full vaccination more than 15 days prior to arrival. Children under the age of 12 are exempt from all PCR test requirements.
Travelers who left Lebanon for a period not exceeding one week will be exempt from PCR testing on their return.
Travelers must complete a "Airport Tracking Registration Form" before departure.
Travelers are required to download the Government of Lebanon application "Covid Leb Track" on their mobile phone and complete a health declaration form before departure.
Travelers, except military personnel, diplomats, members of international organizations, UNIFIL and members of the Lebanese National Social Security Fund or staff cooperative, must have an insurance policy for their whole stay in Lebanon, which will cover in full the costs of medical treatment in case they test positive for coronavirus. Alternatively, the policy can be obtained at the insurance counters upon arrival at Rafik Hariri International Airport-Beirut.
All travelers are subject to a 3-day quarantine at their place of residence or accommodation upon arrival. Travelers must undergo an additional PCR test at the end of their home quarantine period.
Diplomats and their families, official delegations and UNFIL officers are exempt from the quarantine measures, as well as those who have received the COVID-19 vaccination, on the condition that they have proof of vaccination and take a PCR test on arrival as a precautionary measure.
Travelers who test positive will have to self-isolate and follow Ministry of Health guidelines.

Travelers transiting through Beirut (BEY) to Syria must have pre-approval from the Syrian Authorities. Cons: "Overall bad experience with Etihad Airways flying from Dulles to Abu Dhabi. I won't be flying with them again. 1. ETA: I had to apply for an electronic travel authority (ETA) (essentially an electronic tourist visa) twice despite the fact that I had been granted the visa originally by the Government of Australia two weeks prior to my flight. For some reason, airline staff said they could not see the visa information attached to my passport. I showed them the emails from the Government of Australia stating that my application had been successful along with the relevant reference number. The staff told me to apply for another one and let them know once I had. They informed me that this "happened all the time" with their customers traveling to Australia. If it is happening "all the time," Etihad Airways should check their database to ensure there are no glitches. It's Australia, not a third-world country, so it's likely on the Airline's end. The crew did not offer to look up my reference number or otherwise do any leg work to verify the visa that I already had, even when the application page stated that I already had a visa for the relevant time period! This stressed me out just a few hours before I was supposed to take off and could have been handled with a little effort by the staff. 2. Baggage Weight: They are sticklers for baggage weight, weighing your carry-on both prior to check in (it must be under 7 kg) and again right before boarding the plane. Literally no other airline has done this in my entire experience except the cheapo ones. Thankfully, I had a big purse and was able to shift the baggage weight around to get on because they pulled me out of line to board the plane. It's all going on the same plane so it makes no sense at all. This needlessly drags out the boarding process. 3. Crew: They sat a man who was coughing incessantly on my row (I had two empty seats next to me). The crew member accompanied him to my aisle while he told me where he would sit. The crew did not ask me to make space or anything (of course I would have said yes), but this particular gentleman had a cough and made me sick for my trip. I was not happy, and that situation could have been handled so much better. Bottom Line: Do yourself a favor and fly with Emirates. They're far better and professional and are similarly priced. Had none of these issues with them. (Added bonus: the food's a lot better as well)."

Cons: "The food! 12 hours of mediocrity in a aluminium foil. My wife and my hand held consoles were not working and hence we couldn't use our reading light besides some other functional limitations. An elderly lady sitting in front of me had a bad bout of chills because of the cabin temperature (most probably) the staff never followed up on the help that fellow passengers had given to the lady. My prior two flights with this airliner were much worse My A380 experience in the Emirates has been MUCH more spacious and great meals with a predictably jollier staff. Qatar airways can perhaps even top that. The only thing I feel etihad has over these better rivals is the convenience of the US Immigration. As a NATIONAL CARRIER of the UAE, I'm quite unimpressed and disappointed."

Actually one passenger ahead of us complained that why he had to take his Baggage items to the conveyor. As I understood, it is responsibility of the Etihad Air lines Staff to handle & take care of Baggage items after airline stickers are printed & applied/ attached on them. Counter clerks were not cooperative & cordial at all. 2. Food was OK except the Breakfast or meal before arrival at Abu Dhabi."
