Pros: "The seat was comfortable, the food was delicious and the aircraft was clean."
Cons: "Boarding was awful. The staff definitely need better training at adapting with the Covid 19 situation. Especially, when it comes to unexpected occurrences regarding test certificates and sudden new regulations. Not everything is always black and white and not everyone has the same capacity to afford rebooking flights or re-testing. Treatment of foreigners in general at the LAX airport, on my flight at least, were unprofessional and inconsiderate. I generally like flying with Japan Airlines but after what I have seen and experienced personally I’m not so sure it is still one of my number one airlines to fly with anymore."

Pros: "The seats in Economy are larger than normal airlines and had extra leg room. My partner is 6ft2in and he sat comfortable, even when the people in front reclined. The staff was so polite and helpful. I will definitely fly JAL again!"

The one that was suppose to fly out at 12:50 on 1/6/18 delayed until 17:25 (with acceptable communication the first delay) but then later delayed till 00:10 after I’ve already arrived at the airport early for the 17:25 departure. The screens with arrivals and departures posted that Checkin was open but there was no JAL staff to answer questions. Then getting an update “maybe” the 00:10 flight is cancelled? What is maybe cancelled and JALs phone messege still said the flight would depart at 00:10. So I go back to JFK because after all “maybe” isnt a definitive and according to all the direct JAL sources the flight is suppose to depart, I get to JFK the second time only to be given a printout saying the flight is cancelled with no rebooking, and to call for assistance. The same number is been calling for hours trying to get answers. coukdnt reschedules because I’m calling outside of business hours! I spent $200 on cab rides going back and forth to JFK to go nowhere, get no apology, no new flight booking, and no reimbursement for transportation."

I was extremely tired and and left my phone completely on silent for 4 days, and within those 4 days they called and left me messages. Lucky I live here in Hawaii, can you imagine being a tourist and you lost your card? Excellent customer service."

Cons: "Checking in with Japan Airlines was a serious hassle. I had my e-ticket but they kept asking me if I had already paid. The flight was apparently overbooked but than at the last minute, they gave me and my girlfriend seats separated from each other. I sat in the back, she sat in front. The tickets also had trouble scanning and kayak isn't a known agency."

Pros: "Let's face it - flying b-class is pretty awesome, so for $3300, it was really great. Loved the food selections, though I did feel the food was a little on the heavy side. I had the Japanese fare, which was lighter, but a little more salted than what I prefer - but over all very good. Service was amazing - the crew is super-nice. The plane, a massive 787 jet, absorbed the turbulence like it was nothing. It was like riding in one of those Cadillacs from the 1970's. The lavatories were big enough that I could actually stand up straight (and I'm 6'0"). The seats were pretty good as well - they had a feature for extension of the seating surface to allow for more thigh support (which I love) as well as great lumbar support. the movie selection was OK - neither great nor bad, and I ended up watching 4 movies during the flight anyway. ;)"
Cons: "I preface this section by saying that I'm being very nit-picky here - there's not much I can really say, except that the seats, while they will recline to a flat surface, which is great for dozing off, they are angled about 15 degrees so you're constantly sliding down them in that position. Also, there could be more support for your head in the reclined position - I had to futz with pillows and a blanket to get that comfortable. However, the reclined position was the most comfortable, and I could get it so that I was sufficiently reclined with my legs extended and horizontal, while laying back without sliding down. This was sufficient for resting. I'm only mentioning this because I flew a business class flight on Delta in 2015 which had ridiculously amazing seats that reclined all the way flat and horizontal. On the 9-11 hour flight from Tokyo back to San Diego, which will take place mainly at night, this would be a very useful feature."

Pros: "Absolutely loved the flight. The flight staff was among the best I have flown with. In terms of service I could not have asked for any better. The seats were super comfortable with a great entertainment system/large screen. The layout essentially gave you a nearly private suite. The doos service was impeccable. The lavatories spotless, along with those cool Japanese bidets...first one I've seen on a plane. Overall, I loved the experience."
Cons: "Remarkably the one issue on this wonderful business class seat was a limited area of storage for small items, most significantly a lack of a pocket for a cell phone by the USB port. Also the armrest didn't rise when the seat was in upright mode."

The crew at the airport were very helpful, and a lady brought me to the security gate, and run out and checking in for me. With their help, I was able to catch the planes and arrived my destination on schedule. Thank you so much."

"In Mexico City they need more workers to help you get to your gate.Lost my connection due to bad communication on screen changing departure gate in Mexico City .They admitted there was a change but said it was my responsibility of asking ,I could not get information there was not enough employees to ask. Cons: "I was told I HAD to pick up my bag at the Mexico City layover, which turned out to not be true. Because I was told by 2 different people AND the flight announcement that I had to, it caused a lot of undue stress when I waited for my bag and it never showed up, because it was being sent all the way to Merida, my final destination. I thought my bag was lost, and I was scared flying to another country by myself, so it would have really helped my trip if they understood to tell me to look on my baggage receipt what city it said on there."

Cons: "Probably one of the most tedious flights of my life. Unexplained delays while sitting on the tarmac and not allowed to get up to go the bathroom because “we could be leaving any minute”. Repeated indications that we were cleared to move, and then no movement for another 15 minutes before assuring us they were cleared to move. Everything about this airline, from check-in to boarding to taxiing to deplaning to baggage claim felt like it took 60-80% longer than it had to, with no real customer service to be found. This is an airline that does nothing more than provide passengers with a way of getting from point A to point B, eventually; getting there on time, or in comfort, was clearly a luxury their airline was not positioned to deliver. First and last time flying Aeromexico, especially with Internet, Volaris, and other carriers plowing the same routes."

Cons: "My flight was delayed. Because they assumed we would miss our connection, only sent our checked bags to Mexico City rather than SJO. If our bags had been transferred instead of us waiting we couldn’t made the connection. They had us on a flight 9 hrs later than planned, arriving at 1am after our car rental would be closed without plans to stay in the city. We had to argue, beg, plead to go to Panama first and the to SJO so that we would arrive at 7. During the flight my friends entertainment screen was broken. He had to repeatedly ring for the flight attendents, only to be ignored every time before they finally moved him to a different seat. Overall terrible experience. None of the people we dealt with were the least bit caring or human about the situation."

Pros: "I liked the fact that I could fly all the way to my final destination with the same airline, which meant I didn’t have to change terminals in Mexico City."
Cons: "I was assigned a middle seat in an exit row, which meant I couldn’t even put my purse under the seat. I always make every effort to get an aisle seat, and I don’t know how I ended up where I did. I asked to be switched,and the flight attendant found a middle seat further back in the plane, which I appreciated. Other people have told me of similar experiences where they did not get the seat they were expecting on Aeromexico. On my flight to Oaxaca, my seat cushions were coming apart and worn, but for the one-hour flight it wasn’t a big deal."

Pros: "The sandwich was okay. I liked the individual video screens, good entertainment options. I like that my checked bag was free."
Cons: "Some of the flight attendants were rude. I was seated in an emergency exit isle, and I was told that I couldn’t have my handbag under the seat in front of me. This is the first time I’ve heard of a airline with this policy. My bag was put in the overhead bin and I couldn’t access my tablet or headphones or medicine during the flight. Also, the chair (maybe because it was the exit row) would not recline. This was pretty terrible for a red eye flight. I asked the flight attendant if I could switch seats, (well before take off) I didn’t mind if it was a middle seat, just somewhere I could have my bag with me... she rudely remarked that the plane was late and I needed to sit back down. Terrible service, it was a simple request. I’m sure someone with long legs would have been happy to switch with me. I also don’t like that my carry on bags had a weight limit."

Pros: "The flight itself was comfortable, smooth and overall satisfactory. They gave us a sandwich meal and there was some inflight entertainment (which I didn’t use)."
Cons: "I brought the same Samsonite carry on luggage piece that I’ve used on multiple major airlines (Avianca, United, American, Copa, etc.) with no problems, and AeroMexico says it’s too big, the wheels didn’t fit into the sizing bin. Super frustrating if one of the most popular luggage manufacture makes a “carry-on” bag, airlines should realize people will be arriving with the expectations that they can use it as a carry on. Anyways I’m out $58 both ways ($116). I will not fly with AeroMexico again because of this simple fact."

Pros: "I liked that Aeromexico offers a direct flight from my city to CDMX."
Cons: "I'm fairly tall, so I spend the extra for Economy+ for a few extra inches of leg room. It's still not adequate, but it's better than nothing. However, the seats on Aeromexico's E+ are more uncomfortable than any other E+ seats I've sat it. Truly awful to sit in for even a short period of time. Also, the planes are not clean. There was a half eaten lollipop stuck to the floor in front of my seat on our outbound flight, and on our return flight there was some sort of dried spill (I HOPE it was a spill, and not some sort of bodily fluid) on the wall under the window. If you want your drink to be cold you need to ask for ice - otherwise expect room temperature water/soda/juice, and only a tiny cup of it - there are no full cans of soda here. This wasn't a huge deal to me, but on our return flight I was quite parched and never could quench my thirst with the little amount of water I was given. All this said, I'd probably still suffer through a direct Aeromexico flight than deal with a layover on another airline."

Cons: "With one hour to go, a man in my row in the AMPlus section (which costs extra for a bit more comfort in economy) was joined by his companion who started the flight in the back, the basic economy fare which does not cost extra.. I didn’t appreciate the fact that she got to sit up front without paying and that the AeroMexico crew did nothing to call her out or send her back. The lesson: Don’t pay the extra money for AM Plus. Just wait until no one is watching and move up front. No one cares—except your fellow passengers who paid for the added comfort."

Cons: "It was awful. My original flight was scheduled to depart March 30 at 11:55. Then Aeromexico changed it to 1:35am in March 31. They refused to let me change flights when this happened. I wanted to fly standby on an earlier flight, so I called everyday for 2 weeks to confirm how many seats were left. Everyone I talked to told me I could fly standby if it was he same day as my ticket. I got to the airport and the flight attendant at check in told me “standby doesn’t exist.” When I asked how much it would be to change my ticket, she just said “very expensive.” She told me she’d have to check me out of my current flight and risk me losing my seat on that flight, because it was overbooked just to see the price for the earlier flight. I told her I’d be willing to pay up to $200 to switch to the earlier flight and she told me it was very expensive and she wouldn’t do it. I came back later that night and took my scheduled flight. I carried on my bag from SFO to MEX. On my second flight from MEX to BOG, the attendant told an older woman she had to check her bag because the overhead was going to be too full. I volunteered to check my bag instead so she could keep her bag. Then Aeromexico lost my bag. When I got to BOG, they told me I couldn’t have a voucher because it was my fault for bringing a bag that was too big. Finally they gave me $100 because the next day was Easter and I had no clothes for church. I wasted over 2 hours of my vacation at the Bogota airport while Aeromexico searched for my bag. They said they’d call as soon as they found it. No one ever called. I called and they asked “what color is your bag?” I said “red” and the attendant said they had it. It was delivered several hours after this call despite the fact that the airport is less than 20 minutes from where we are staying. I didn’t think an airline could be worse han United, but Aeromexico steals the cake."

Cons: "The upgrade to first class was $150 and definitely not worth it. I was disappointed in the experience and would not recommend. I was traveling with my mother to Mexico to celebrate her 60th birthday and was very excited to upgrade to kick off the celebration. We were offered a glass of water or orange juice after boarding; and when we requested a celebratory glass of champagne, we were denied. As in all other airlines first class participants are served anything they desire while the economy passengers board. It wasn’t until an hour into our flight that we were offered something again. At one point, I turned around and noticed that the first several rows of economy class already had their meals. Before first class. This is not something I would expect. I only fly economy class and was beyond excited to experience the first class amenities, only to feel extremely disappointed in the service by AeroMexico. At this time, I would like to request a refund on the upgrade."

Cons: "A staff on the check-in counter requested me to show eTA of Canada. I tried to log in my e-mail account that received the eTA before. But IP address was Peru. So the e-mail service provider didn't allow me to log in. I suffered from proving that I received eTA. I had to spend much time on collecting and showing all the itineraries related to Vancouver. So I could never visit the VIP Lounge for Business Class passengers because of insufficient time.I had to go to the gate directly to avoid my flight. It was very hard time."

Cons: "The counters did not open until 10pm, only 2hrs B4 "the flight closed at 12 midnight), even though they say arrive 180 minutes early. The "SkyPriority" line was the slowest line. At the outset two agents weren't even helping guests. This was a very frustrating experience. Unfortunately, I had to pickup and recheck my bag and ended up waiting outside security for several hours because there was no where to drop the bag after passing immigration from my connecting flight. I suggest AM get another airline's baggage handler to recheck bags for early arriving customers so at least they can wait inside security where amenities abound."

Cons: "Part of my poor experience was because of lack of knowledge of the staff. 1) We had a round trip from Houston. Our destination was Quito Ecuador with a connection in Mexico city. In Houston we were told that we were suppose to pick up our luggage in Mexico City and take it through immigration (we were told that this was very important) We waited for our luggage but in never arrived. After asking around at the airport we were told that the rule had changed and we did not need to pick up our luggage 2) The planes were old with no entertainment."

Cons: "There were two runways in Mexico City and one was under maintenance so it took a long time from the moment we landed to the time we were able to get out of the plane. Then, they took our check-in luggage from the plane and it went through an inspection (bag by bag), so this caused another hour delay. After that they gave us our check-in luggage for us to take it to another location (to another floor) within the airport to be checked-in again. They wanted to charge us $20.00 additional per check-in bag even though they were half of the weight limit. After we complained, they dropped this charge. Due to all the delays we lost our connection and we had to book another flight. Not a good experience. We will never make a stop in Mexico in the future."

Cons: "I believe Aero Mexico had four flights going from LAX to Mex City in the matter of two hours when we arrived so the line to check in was huge. Not a big deal until the staff began pulling people from the back of the line to check in for flights that left at the same time as ours, which put us on a time crunch to get to our gate on time. Once we arrived at the gate, there was no indication that our flight had been delayed and no announcement regarding its status. We simply had to wait and wait, then we finally took off an hour late. The staff on board the plane was less than helpful in getting our customs paperwork to us as well. Not a great experience."

Cons: "This my 3rd trip to PVR on airline. As a delta frequent flyer I have always gotten upgraded or standby list. For what ever reason on my return it seemed staff working at airport today ALL gave me false info and finally in the end when I wanted to pay for upgrade told flight sold out ! False ! 3 Empty AM Plus seats 5 Ross in front of me . So I was separated from my friends as they sat in first class. I blame the gate staff since none had a clue ! Horrible e periwnce for first time at Mexico City airport. We also left Aweomexico lounge since was dirty and went to American Express Lounge that was clean z"

Cons: "There was a 5 hour delay which caused me to miss my connection. After standing in line for 3 hours, They did not get me the same day flight and put me on a Latam air flight and asked me to take the bus to terminal 1. When I spoke to the person on Latam air they said they don’t have a ticket for me and sent me back to terminal 2 via a bus where Aeromexico desks were. I stood in another line for 3 hours! Then they told me there is no flight and they will put me on the next day flight. However they did not provide any help or accommodation for the night I had to stay in Mexico which felt very very unsafe to me."

Boarding crew (not on flight but in the terminal) was NOT nice-- I had a garment bag that in past experience does not count as an additional carry on since it can be placed on top of carry-on in overhead bin. Boarding crew member insisted I was over the limit (when though at check-in, the staffer saw how many pieces I had and made no comment) and she insisted I had to check one item AND pay the baggage fee. But this was a problem only because it was a full flight, and I was being punished just because my seat was in a tow closer to the front and boarded later, therefore there was less room left in the overhead bins. Also seemed ridiculous to charge for the first checked bag, with most other reputable airlines, there is no fee for the first checked bag for international flights."

Pros: "Flying with Aeromexico to Mexico City was great! This airline is always good and of course it didn't disappoint me this time. The flight was nice and smooth, the airplane very modern and nicely equipped, it had a vast variety of movies available, nice food, nice timing, friendly staff, punctual arrival to the destination, smooth landing, etc. Everything was great!"
Cons: "I was seated next to the toilets at the rear of the aircraft and I didn't like that seat. Guys, you really need to do something about this, because during the whole flight I had people standing next to me while queuing to go to the toilets. So, I was 12 hours with people next to my seat, watching me all the time and pushing the back of my seat while they made their way through the queue waiting for their turn to go to the toilet. Terrible situation having people queuing next to my seat and hearing the flushing sounds the whole flight."

Cons: "On my way to Lima I flew through Mexico City. It took over three hours to get through customs and caused me to get to my gate minutes before the flight closed its gate. For this reason I made note to upgrade my flight so I could be close to the front of the plane and get to customs as quickly as possible. Aeromexico made me check my bag which is the SAME bag I came down with. Same size, same Weight. Their reasoning for this was because they had a full flight, yet I had paid extra to upgrade in the first place and their policy states you can bring on one carry on to store in the overhead. I'll likely miss my connection due to this. I will never fly Aeromexico again."

I saw disable passenger without any attendance when wheelchair was requested.They don't have any idea that you are part of a business industry with many competitors. I will never recommend in my community to use your services. You are the worse of the third world."

One hour after depart from Mexico City, the fly attendance announce that we need to land in Guadalajara for safety/security reason. You removed a youth passenger without any strong and fair reason, because he was unlucky this day: He was accommodated together with 2 members of a middle east family that was logically to be filled by the 3. he touch friendly the kid near him and his father that was in different place??? react negative against this normal gesture of the youth passenger. Why you didn't put the entire family together from the beginning?"

Cons: "I was sent to Sala A & there was agate # 1 there; however, there was a second Sala A with a Gate #1 & from there my plane was boarding by the time I made it to the correct boarding gate it was too late for me to board the plane. I had to purchase another plane ticket in order for me to make it to the United States. It was a bad situation & the employees were very rude. They blame me & the manager never show his face to help me out. He could have at least given me a discount given the award situation. But, the customer service or will to help me was just not there."

Cons: "it was a bad customer service. They never mentioned I had to be 2 hours earlier to be on board, I didn't got heads up, i came like an hour and 15 minutes, and they told me I was not able to go in, because the gates were closed. I told them about my situation that I was late because I was in a funeral, and they didn't really care about it. Customer service was not really nice to me even though when I got there not to late. They didn't really care. Sad about it. I though they were going to considered my case. The attitude of some employees were unacceptable."

Pros: "Staff was friendly, both at the airport and in the air. It was nice to have meals served, even on the very short flight."
Cons: "We arrived at the airport to find that they had overbooked the plane and our family's 4 seats were in jeopardy. We had to wait until they had processed everyone else in line, even though we had gotten there first, because either they were in the "sky priority" line or because maybe they had pre-bought their seat assignments. After a tense 20 minutes of waiting, they closed the flight and let us have our seats. Then, at the gate, they confiscated two of our most important carry on bags and checked them because they said that children are not allowed a carry on item -- despite paying full freight for their seats! It was very nerve-wracking at our arrival destinations as these two items were not padlocked and were the very last to come on the conveyor belt."

Pros: "Aeromexico provides blankets; particularly useful on this overnight flight. The snack - such as it is - is certainly a step above what I get when I fly the same route on United. Also the entertainment system is much better, and free! This includes the flight map, although this was not functioning on the Calgary - Mexico City leg of my trip. Cabin staff are friendly and efficient. I paid extra for the exit row on the Calgary-Mexico City leg. Unfortunately, the cabin crew put another passenger in the seat adjacent to me, so I lost my expected room to stretch out. I'm tall, and this really affected my comfort on this long overnight flight."
Cons: "In-flight map wasn't working. Beer, scotch or red wine are not available, although other alcoholic beverages are available, apparently without charge. Mexico City is a terrible airport to have to pass through. Everyone has to go through Immigration (similar to US airports in that regard) even if just in transit. However, they have few officers there, and almost half of the available booths weren't even manned. The result was chaos, with the immigration hall filled with grouchy travellers, and other travellers stuck in aircraft waiting to disembark. Expect to be stuck in Immigration for a minimum of an hour after landing; maybe plan on 1 1/2 hours just to get through Immigration and Customs. And if you are making a connection, whatever you do don't go through the sliding doors on the other side of Customs - I made that mistake once!"

Which caused me to miss my flight. Making me spend an awful night over night at the airport, missing work, and overall just an INCONVENIENCE. Delayed flights seem to be a common thing with your airline son ADD MORE STAFF! So ridiculous, the staff in Mexico City are useless at helping people out!!! I'm not one to complain but this was so unprofessional!"

Cons: "To start with I paid to check in my suitcase. But I change my mind and decided to have a cary on. when I arrived at the airport I told an agent that I wanted to bring my suitcase as carry-on and she said that it was too large. So I had to wait in line. When I finally fot to the counter the agent and the agent realized I had already paid. She said that I could try take my suitcase under my own responsibility because she thought security would send me back. I was very surprised to hear this because it is a computer case. I did not have any problems and was able to embark. The plane had not bern clean. The pocket underneath my table had a used kleenex and the table of the person seated next to my had coffee spilled. During the 5:50 hrs only once were we offer a drink. Really bad service for an international flight."

We were sitting at the original gate for 2 hours only to realize they never called us to board. By the time we got to the correct gate, we were not allowed to board the plane because they said we were late. The plane left at 5:00 p.m and we arrived at the gate at 4:50 p.m. They informed us that we had to purchase new tickets which cost $370 per person. There were 4 of us. After arguing with the Aeromexico representatives and supervisor for over 5 hours and having them check their flight boards they admitted to making the mistake so they changed our flights without charging us, but now our flight leaves the next day at 6:20 a.m. and we will not get to our final destination until 4:15 p.m. So, we have to spend our night sleeping in the airport until our morning flight at no fault of our own. Their customer service is the worse and I've never ever had this kind of travel experience with any other flight. I am fed up, tired, and will be reporting this airline for fraud because many other customers have had the same experience. Never again will I travel with Aeromexico and Kayak should be ashamed to partner with this airline."

Unable to reach airline prior to airport arrival. Unavailable. Finally was told by customer service that if I hadn't gotten in an earlier flight we would have missed our connection"

Cons: "I'm stuck in this huge airport because the connection time between Mexico City and my next flight to Leon was vastly underestimated. In Vancouver I was assured that one and a half hours would be sufficient but when I saw the line through immigration I realized what a joke that was. That process alone took well over two hours, followed by another hour to pick up my bag, find the correct spot to drop it off again and then re-enter the boarding area. Meanwhile, the shuttle I arranged to pick me up in Leon have one and gone. So, here I sit, exhausted, frustrated and weary, waiting for the next flight, and not knowing how I will get to my destination in the dark hours of the night. I could do with back rub and a shoulder to cry on."

She had us there for more than an hour and i keot saying we are going to miss our flight . She wanted to charge us for an extra bag to put in the documented baggage. So not fair. Aeromexico is the worst! Do not flight with them they will find a way to make your life hell. At the end i showed the lady what the website said and she kind of changed her mind and let us go."

Cons: "The email said that we could check-in online 48 hours ahead of time. This was not available until less than 24 hours ahead of time. Then when I tried to use this feature, it would not work. The webpage was malfunctioning and would not let me check-in. When we checked in at the desk at the airport, it took them a ridiculous amount of time to find us seats. When she did finally find us seats with barely enough time left to get to the gate to board, she had put two of us on stand-by for the connecting flight. There should have been no question about us having seats let alone being put on stand-by. We had booked this flight well in advance and had confirmation from the booking site and AeroMexico. When we got to Mexico City, they had already bumped the two on stand-by off our flight and put them on another flight the would leave 6 hours later that day. Again there was no possible justification for this, especially since the flight they should have been on with us was only 2/3 full. Although this was less of a nightmare that my 1st flight with AeroMexico had been, again the staff was unhelpful and purposely caused us inconvenience and delay for unacceptable reasons. I intend to never fly with AeroMexico and will tell everyone I know not to fly with them either."

Cons: "Our flight from Dallas was delayed due to the crew being late to show up. This delay was so late that there was no way we would make the connecting flight in Mexico City. Staff in both airports knew this and made no attempts to remedy the problem. In Dallas the avoided answering questions or being helpful. When we got to Mexico City they kept us on the shuttle bus sitting outside the airport doors for an extended amount of time. They refused to let us out of the bus despite several requests. When we finally were allowed to leave the bus and enter airport we were handed new boarding tickets. We were not given any instruction on what to do or where to go or even told that we had missed our flight and it was no use anyway. I along with several other people wondered around the airport trying to find where to go for baggage claim, customs and the boarding gate. Airport staff did not try to help or answer questions. When I finally found my luggage, sent it on to the other flight, made it to the boarding gate, the staff there informed me that I had missed my flight and would not be flying out until 16 hours later. This was distressing enough, but when they laughed at me while they were telling me, it made the whole situation intolerable. At that point I went to try to find someone who would be helpful and not laugh at me. I found the check-in desk. The lady there did not laugh at me but gave me the run around about how weather had caused the delay and the airline could not help me with a better flight or even hotel accommodations. She informed me that my luggage was still in the airport and that I could retrieve it in baggage claim. Retrieving my luggage was another nightmare. None of the airport staff outside of the glass doors to baggage claim could understand that I needed to reclaim my luggage. I cannot imagine how seeing that 30 some other people had to have already returned to do the same thing just a few minutes earlier. I intend to never fly AeroMexico again. And I will be telling everyone I know not to fly them. This airline allowed us to miss our connecting flight because of crew incompetence. They made to attempts to remedy the problem or make up for it, instead the staff lied, was purposely unhelpful and at times rude and disrespectful."

Cons: "Our flight to mexico was fine .. it was our return flight from cancun to tijuana that was a mess .. our flight was over booked so they caught us an early flight to mexico city to try and work something out, we rushed through security made it to the flight then was told we were going to be booked to guatelahara ( spelling ) instead .. had to wait 3 hrs then another 4 hr delay to get to tj. Did not upgrade out flight in fact they separated us on the 2nd flight even though there was 1st class seating available . They did give us a lunch and dinner voucher but it was only enough to share a meal and a drink. We lost out video entertainment which was also a let down."

Aeromexico even agreed with me that the airport was overly busy so I think they should have accounted for this. To top it off I found out later that the connection flight had been delayed so not impressed,I'm sure they could have got me on board."

As I am a vegetarian I was not able to request one. So I was woken up to people talking and eating and I could not myself eat anything. The "dimmed" cabin lights were bright. Crew members were not respectful of passengers sleeping as they talked in normal voices. I also found it very rude that I asked a crew member for a pillow and he said they didn't have any without even checking. Which I don't believe. Overall it was an awful experience and I will never fly Aeromexico again. I am going to tell all my friends and family to never fly this airline."

The lady in the front desk was very rude, she asked me to fill in my info in the Verifly app, otherwise she couldnt check me in. I was in a rush dowloading the app, once I downloaded this one didnt work...it didnt let me select any option or to write any info. I asked her if she can help me and she told me she couldnt, it is Verifly or I would loose my flight At the end another lady from the airline told her this was nos necessary, and show her how to do it. But all the time they were very unkind, as if they were giving me the flight with no cost........"

"Lots of turbulence on this flight, which limited beverage service. Despite the length of the flight, there was only one beverage service, and the "snack" they handed out was a single packet of Biscoff cookies. It was a newer plane with outlets for plugging in devices and a shelf for placing a cell phone to view -- all that was great. The free entertainment was also great and much appreciated, as my husband had finished his book and needed something to amuse himself during the long trip. But if the airlines could just give us passengers a bit more seat space, it would improve things immensely; the guy next to me was well over 6-feet tall, and he couldn't help but extend his knees into my space."

For a red eye it is difficult to notify family if you don't get on the flight because most likely they will be getting up early to pick you up at the airport. Luckily I got on the flight but the stress of waiting was tough. I was treated just as if I was on standby yet I purchased my flight ahead of time."

Pros: "At the gate, I asked about chaining our seats since they were in the extreme back of the plane. The gate attendant gave us some great economy plus seats for free. I wish I would have remembered his name. But Thank You!!!"
Cons: "It's still a long flight from San Francisco to Mexico City but it's just on the cusp on not getting any freebies, i.e. food, premium drinks. This was kind of a let down but I got over it."

I had to take another flight that landed at Ontario so I can make my appointment on time. Will NEVER travel with United again!"

Pros: "The crew overheard me offer my scarf to the lady next to me because I noticed that she was cold, and a few minutes later they offered her a blanket without us even asking for one. We were both so shocked that they knew what we needed before we asked for it."

I was rescheduled on a flight home and was forced to sit in the row in front of the bathroom by the window. Likely the most cramped seat on the aircraft. I literally could not sit upright with out my head striking the wall. To top it all off they lost my bag. After hours of wrangling with the baggage folks it could not be located in their computer system at all. I was told they could only reimburse for $3,500. Needless to say I had some expensive camera equipment in my checked luggage and was not too excited about this reimbursement cap. By some miracle the bag ended up at my home destination. It was off in the corner of baggage claim. No tag on it, no one standing around it, no one knew anything about it. I just happen to walk by it on my way out of the airport. Horrible experience. I think I’ll stick with the other airlines in the future."

After I purchased the 2nd flight, I called within seconds because I noticed my mother’s name was on the ticket instead of mine! I had previously purchased her flight and somehow the kayak site had auto populated her name, i know for a fact did I did not type in her name, it is longer Han mine and has a middle name, i don’t even have a middle name. I think it was justfly, the third party who sent the confirmation email, I explained the situation, they took my contact information and since I had just called they would reach out to Volaris to see if they could change it to my name, and would reach back out to me within a few days. They never called/emailed me back. When I called Volaris they charged me a name change fee off $80+... I don’t know if anyone cares about customer service at Kayak, I have been purchasing all my personal flights through Kayak since 2007, this is by far the worse ticketing/airline experience I have ever had. Also, Volaris charged me $10 for my backpack that I store underneath the seat in front of me! They are a terrible airline, that straight out rips people off. This is the last time I fly with them, and probably last time I use Kayak."

En mi opinión y de muchos amigos que viajamos con ustedes esto nos tiene en desagrado y ocasiona que adentro del avión andemos cambiando lugares y retrasar los despegues."

Instead of helping the gate attendant, whom I found fairly arrogant, told me to get out of the line and said I would be boarding last. I expressed that such instruction was nor acceptable since I had paid the priority boarding fee. When I finally uploades the boarding pass (withput their help, I was alloewd to go through only to find out that everyone was boarding a bus to take us to a remote location. So what is the point of charging priority boardong if everyone boards at the same time? If ypu are charging for something you are obligated to deliver what you charged for."

Cons: "Where do I start? I booked with them because of the low price and I read other reviews where they were compared to Southwest aArline, whom I like. well, they aren't even close! They don't offer any complimentary drinks, no entertainment, and the seats were horribly uncomfortable on all four planes we rode on. The seat pads were worn out and all you could feel was a metal bar across your tailbone. Try to sleep on that for a red eye flight! Impossible. They sat us near the back of the plane and we had the option to move for an extra fee. I chose not to and regretted this decision because the flight attendants posted up and played cards all night, laughing and talking loudly while the passengers tried desperately to sleep! nevermind the fact that you have to pay extra for a regular carry-on sized bag. This airline is such a joke. Next time I fly to Mexico, I'll just pay extra and fly with a known US carrier. Don't waste your pesos, unless you want to be super uncomfortable."

Cons: "Tried to pre check a day before the flight using Volaris app and wasn't able to complete the process, as the app was timing out and it was forcing me to buy a seat in the plan, which I wasn't interested in. It seems to me that the airline is trying to nickel and dime you in every opportunity they have as they wanted to charge us 50 USD extra as our carry on luggage was under the 22 LB restriction but our backpack added 2 pounds. I have never seen an airline that is weighting each and every passengers backs and purses during the boarding process to see how much more money they can get per flight. Also, I found it kind of funny that after take off the flight attendants were selling the empty seats in the front which didn't had more leg room (not first class) but were just closer to the cabin. You are already charging for sodas, CAN YOU JUST STOP THERE?"
