Very nice room and an excellent lady taking care of the rooms. The location at the harbour is very good, only a few minute walking to the pedestian area of the old city centre. Parking seemed to be a problem first, but it turned out to be easy to find parking at the nearby streets. The personnel at the hotel seemed to be uninterested in their job and in their guests. The attitude was "OK - I try to help you as I have to, but it's probably not possible, and I will probably not understand what you are saying." Nobody speaks anything but Italian, which is normally not a problem. However, in this case they did not try to communicate, following the attitude above.
Breakfast was poor
The view from the room is beautiful and overlooks the port and the city of Agropoli. It is very difficult to locate and closes at 12 midnight. There is also no easy access to the rooms and you must carry your luggage up the hill to where the rooms are.
A beautiful and beautifully located hotel. The owner was really nice in just the right dose. Excellent (mostly italian, some old) music during dinner.
Beautiful location. Lovely pool area. Helpful staff, especially waiter. Breakfast very good. Air conditioning in one room not very efficient.
Signor Luigi, the owner, really puts his heart into his work and is a delightful host. The location is great for those who enjoy a tranquil, pretty setting off the beaten track. During off season, there is no cook, which means you have to take your car and go in search of food for lunch and dinner.
Excellent reseption and a feeling of homeliness throughout. The innkeeper and the staff have all cooperated to make the stay memorable. An extremely small bathroom space and an even smaller shower stall (smaller than 2 sq.ft.) spoil an otherwise perfect room and hotel.
We liked the ambience, the owner who rushed around helping in all sorts of ways, and its good location with exciting access road The hotel information stated that evening meals would be available, in fact this was not so
Everything! Luigi and his staff could not have done more for us. They were attentive but discrete, and all had our best interests at heart. We are 4 mature, seasoned travellers and we felt absolutely at home at La Colombaia. The hotel is old-style with well-chosen furniture and objets d'art. The bedrooms overlooked a spectacular coastal panorama of mountains and sea and the sunsets were perfect. The large pool and surrounding areas are beautifully clean and inviting. There are things to delight everywhere at La Colombaia - statues, cherubs, bronzes abound and the gardens are decked out in the formal Italian style and are well looked after. It's a quiet, relaxing paradise to stay. And we enjoyed the food and the well chosen local wines. No, not really. We all want to return next year and that's recommendation enough. Anyone who finds fault with this hotel and its charming staff needs their head examining.
This was a wonderful place to stay. We plan to stay there again.
Friendly staff/family, lovely setting and accomodations, great food - one of our favorite stops on our recent Italian journey. Everything was great!!!
Me and my boyfriend really injoyed our stay at this B&B. The couple that runs this establishment go out of there way to give you an pleasent stay. They also offer a 3 course dinner for a budget prize which is absolutely fabulous. I recommened this B&B to anyone.
Great view, hospitality, shuttle service,English spoken, seclusion. Difficult to find ,so phone for shuttle. Access road unfinished.
Sitting on the terrace every evening watching the sun go down whilst drinking wine from across the valley...truely relaxing!
It is an idyllic, restful small concern with delightful owners, fantastic food and service,
Very pleasant atmosphere, the service was very kind and helpful, we felt genuinely welcome, the views from the house are great. We liked the place and the young couple who run it so we returned there for one more day during our Italian tour.
The hotel is a modern house built on a hill side amongst similar properties and olive groves and gives pleasant views of the sea and hills from the balconies. It is situated on the outskirts of Agripoli, a15 minutes walk. With only five rooms the guests do get to know each other quite well, we had at least three different nationalities present. Most guests chose to eat the evening meal 'in' as the family cooked meals were very good value offering a different 3 course meal every night. The food was well cooked, imaginative and plentiful.Local wines were available to purchase at fair prices. Adriana, her husband and mother inlaw provide a very friendly and helpful service with nothing being too much trouble. We enjoyed it.
Accommodation of special diet requests, excellent food and wine at good prices. Great views, extremely friendly, english speaking family run business. This is more like a private home than a hotel, but not oppressive in any way. The access road is possibly the worst we have ever encountered - this seriously needs attending to and does not give a good impression at all on arriving at the hotel.
Located on the top of a little hill, near the sea and the city of Agropoli, this B&B is designed as a house built so that its inhabitants feel confortable and free. You are very very well welcomed and the staff is friendly and professional. Rooms are clean and offers for some of them the opportunity to stay on the balcony for a drink, looking to the sunset on the Salerne's bay from Agroppoli to Capri. Excellent place for a stay near erything but not in the crowd. I was lucky to find this lovely place. (Excuse my english)
