Surrounded by mountains, Madakhil Camp is located on the natural, unspoiled site of Al-Hajar. The camp offers a restaurant and evening entertainment programme. The tents are decorated with simple Arabic motifs. Each includes seating area and mountain view. Some tents offer private bathroom. The property can arrange different excursions including hiking with or without a local guide. Guests can enjoy the barbecue facilities at an added fee. Madakhil Camp can also arrange car rentals and airport shuttles at a surcharge.
Pros: Everything is good
Cons: The road is very bad for cars
Pros: very spectacular location, typical camp with hotel facilities, warm water in the showers,
Pros: This place is a jewel hidden in the desert. An awesome place to chill out or party with friends. Nestled in colossal rock formations, plenty to explore, all basic amenities available, super friendly staff, Mehmood, Bandar and Muhammad are super friendly guys and extremely helpful. Nearby Nabatean carvings and sculptures can also be seen if one has an eye for it. I would strongly recommend the place to all travellers. This place has amazing potential and can be an awesome location for raves, disco or parties. Stargazing is absolutely amazing here.
Pros: The stunning location in the end of a canyon; the comfort of the tents (with all the things you may have in an hotel room except bathroom); the originality of the decoration and the kindness and excellent attention of the people in charge of the camp. The food was also quite good for KSA hotel standards, and the hiking tour was very interesting too!
Cons: Some small amount of sand may enter the tent if the night is windy, but taking into account that it is a tent in the desert, it is not strange.
Pros: Great local buffet dinner and breakfast. Staff very efficient
Pros: Excellent supervisor running the camp. Very kind to provide extra sheets. Good that tent has heating as it gets cold in winter.
Cons: The sign at the street was difficult to understand where to take the exit to the desert road - especially when it is dark. 2 more signs marking the exit would help a lot :-)
Pros: The place it’s little far from city but it’s a unique place between the mountains.....
Cons: Poor mobile service
Pros: The camp, the location and the environment ... "OFF ROAD" activity is a must !!!
Cons: we had to go out from the camp and go to the nearest amenity for food
Pros: Location, Location, Location!!!
