Lots of hidden fees, in Kayak, a three day rental shows about 150. The final invoice ended up 400. There’s additional premium location fee, and bunch of other fees. Insurance costs about 40 a day, and the front desk added a fuel option saying I can cancel it later which I dont understand.Reviewed Mar 16 2025

I had a terrible experience with Alamo. They falsely charged me for pre-existing damage and only removed the charge after I provided time-stamped photos as proof. It was their responsibility to document the vehicle’s condition, not mine. This caused unnecessary stress during my vacation and felt like an attempt to scam me. My experience with Alamo was absolutely terrible. When I arrived to pick up my rental car, I was informed that they had given it away to someone else, despite my confirmed reservation. The representative was rude, unprofessional, and showed no regard for proper business practices. When I explained that I had a valid reservation, he dismissively told me I should have contacted them in advance. However, my reservation clearly stated that no additional confirmation was required. Even after showing him the proof, he simply shrugged and said, “I gave the car away—nothing I can do.” His attitude was completely unacceptable, demonstrating a total lack of customer service and accountability.
