I was led to believe that the rental was to be picked up at Atlanta Hartsfield Airport. When I arrived at the counter I was told that the car was at a location 60 miles away and that they had no car to give me. It cost me $43.00 to Lyft to that location. The mgr at the location apologized but said that Kayak has done that before. He told me another location where I could drop the car off near the airport but again I had to pay another $9.99 for a Lyft to the airport. The Mgr at the pickup location was great under the circumstances but obviously the value of my rental went way down as it cost me alot of time and money. I travel frequently and have never had this happen before!

Terrible experience- only 1/4 tank of gas in it when we got in it, maintenance light on because it needs oil change, car windows very dirty and could barely see out of front windshield when it started getting dark, smelled like smoke inside, brakes bad - had to push all the way to floor for them to work, extremely low tread on tires - the tech at tire shop noted it to me when I went by because the low pressure warning light came on the next morning after it sat overnight.

When I typed in that I needed a rental car from the Atlanta airport, it took me to a rental car site an hour away from the airport. This was not clear to me at all! I therefore did not have a car when we got to the airport and there were none to rent. It was a total disaster. Kayak should alert the customer to this chance of location.

I made my reservation online only two days in advance, and I was able to walk into the rental office and leave with my rented car only a few minutes later! The same representative helped me with pick-up and drop-off, and she was very helpful and professional both times. Also, setting up my reservation through Kayak helped make things simple as well.Nothing! I've used another car rental service nearby in Downtown Atlanta, and frankly this Enterprise offered me fewer issues and a better value for my experience. If I need another car rental, I will probably be returning here.

I had called to change time from noon pickup to 9:30am pickup. They had me down for 9:30pm pickup, ugh! Finally found an upgrade to Cadillac available but when I got to spot where car was supposed to be, it wasn’t there. Had to go back and redo a different car. I did get a break on upgrade but lost time at Atlanta airport! Ugh!

Had car reservation at ATL airport rental car center--arrived at counter after midnight due to flight delay. Customer representatives on-site wouldn't allow me or any other customers in line due to it being after midnight...even those with valid reservations in-hand. First time that has happened to me in over 40 years of traveling and renting vehicles. Will not use Dollar again to rent a car.

Liked the e-drop off. Did not like the check-in process. Such a long wait (an hour?), in humid less air conditioned area, unfriendly staff and the car smelled so strongly of cigarettes and just gross it was barely tolerable.

It was an awful experience overall. I didn't like anything and I will never use this company again.I arrived at the Buckhead location and there were 2 agents behind their desks talking to each other and no customers. Neither looked up nor greeted me. When I approached the desk and said good morning the woman said in a very sarcastic tone " I said Welcome when you walked in". They both stared at me, neither offering to assist me. I walked over the the woman (Kennedy) and she started to look up my reservation. I asked if I could use their restroom and she told me I could walk to the hotel next door as their restrooms were not open to the public. I reminded her I wasn't just the public, but a customer, and she still would not allow it. I advised her I would be leaving my car overnight in the parking lot of the strip mall where their store was located. She advised me that if I did so my car would be towed as they did not have permission to use the parking spaces located in the strip mall. There was no signage anywhere prohibiting parking, or dedicating the spaces to other stores, but she was very adamant that if I left my car it would get towed. She advised me that I should have taken an uber, as most of their customers do. There is nothing on the booking site that states no parking. I suggested that a store lease typically allows for customer parking and she said it was not the case. At that point the conversation had become very unpleasant and I felt like she would probably have my car towed just to prove me wrong. I asked her for an alternative for parking and she offered to cancel my reservation, which I accepted. I have pictures of the ample parking available directly in front of the store, with Kennedy in the background telling me I was not allowed to take pictures. The entire 20 minute transaction was so rude, and the threat of having my car towed was so real that I didn't feel I had a choice. I was forced to look for a last minute alternative and was late to my business meeting as a result of this grave inconvenience. The ticket number she gave me for my cancellation was #02461640. I have not yet received my money back. I would like someone to contact me.

When I went to pick up the car at your Buckhead location the facility was closed. I had to take a taxi to my destination. I have my credit card company getting my money back.You could have had a person on duty to process my receiving the car. I said I would arrive from the airport at 6::00pm. Due to traffic I arrived at 6:15pm. It was inconvenient and very stressful.

I ended up not renting the car because I requested a pick up time of 5 pm and it turned out the location closed at 5 pm. When I called customer service to work out a solution, I said to the customer service rep it would have been nice if the woman, with whom I spoke when I rented the car and who knew I was flying in to Atlanta from out of town, had informed me of the closing time. His response was that it was my fault for not telling her there was a possibility I might be late. An argument then ensued and he would not concede the point that it would have been good customer service for her to inform me of the closing time. Basically, he wanted to win an argument instead of providing good customer service. I will not rent from Sixt Car Rental again.I believe above explains what could have been better.

Team was very inflexible and wouldn’t let me switch sites.Called customer service on site and was bounced back and forth from Sixt to Kayak several times looking to use the credit $190 for a different rental. Emailed sixt customer service and they said I was out of luck. And can you credit just for their location. I don’t travel in that area ever and will never use the $190 in sixt credit. When we went to drive away in our rental car, the attendant said we couldn’t take the car because of a mileage discrepancy. They told us to reverse and wait for another car to be brought out. After about 30 mins, and much and back and forth, one attendant was able to fix the problem and we drove off in the original car. We have no idea what the problem was but it was frustrating and a waste of time.

Ha the website is always wrong, they have No clue what's really available in a given location". Shrugged his shoulders, but did suggest I try Avis. " they usually are the last to run out of cars"...smh thank you? I guess. what about the rental for my trip that I paid for? Worst rental experience and I didn't even get a car.

When booking the operating hours were 24/7. We arrived at 10:30 PM only to see a sign stating to go to Dollar Rental for service. When we arrived at Dollar their posted hours of operation were 8am-10pm. We went to Budget Rental where not only were they open, we received a lower rate for the same car.

Although booked 24 hours early, at the airport the rep told us you have to wait for 1.5-2 hours or else go somewhere and find another car. They did not give us the car and asked to book somewhere else. Horrible experience. Never ever will book EZ car rental.

The representative at the front desk (inside office) was very courteous and upgraded my car because there were none available at one of the pick up areas. Other than that I can’t think of anything.My first car was barely clean on the outside, wheel was shaking at 60+ mph, returned car and was charged a full tank of gas when the I barely used 1/4 of a tank. Service was mediocre at best. Never renting from this company again! Manager did not include in the notes why I returned car.

They are dishonest and do not even tell you the whole truth when renting the car. The girl told me $20 for unlimited gas but never specify that it was $20 per day. They do not tell you how much gas cost to fill up and will send an email receipt instead of telling you the cost up front and deposits.

Thought I had booked the car for pickup at Atlanta airport. Hertz asked for my flight number. There was a Hertz pickup right there on premise. I waited in line for an hour to be told that my reservation was across town and I needed to grab an Uber to get there. I am not from Atlanta and I have no idea how to tell an Uber driver where to pick me up. It took an addition hour to get the Uber and an additional cost just to get me to my vehicle. On top of that why have costs gone up so much? $1200 for a 4 day rental? Really? Same trip in December was a third of that cost and I had the vehicle to drive down and back from ME to GA. Still slightly upset, luckily the vehicles condition was great and got me and my family home.

When I went to pick up my rental at the atlanta airport, they told me that the reservation had been switched to a different location and I’d need to go pick up a car there, even though I had booked the car pickup at the ATL airport. The other location was 30 miles away and already closed for the day. They didn’t know what happened and so I stood in the rental car location for 3 hours on hold with hertz trying to get a car to drive to see my husband graduate from basic training in the army the next morning. At first they told me that they had no cars, but then I asked if I paid them, could I rent a car that was parked outside, they said yes. So I said “you do have cars, but you won’t let me drive one even though I have a reservation?” So after another hour, they “found” a car for me. On the key fob, someone had written the word “tire” on tape, but after traveling for 12 hours and then another almost 4 trying to get a rental car, I was tired and didn’t even think twice. Well I got a flat tire driving to the army base. I tried calling roadside assistance and waited for another 3 hours on hold! And literally just gave up, paid someone to come fix it and made it to the base. The next morning I woke up and my legs had ant bites ALL over them. I thought it was the hotel. So I got in my car, and out my coffee cup down. I picked it up not even 5 minutes later and there were ants swarming all over my coffee. My legs were covered and I was so disgusted. I got out of the car and looked in the back seat, THERE WERE DIRTY TAKE OUT CONTAINERS AND COFFEE CUPS AND SODA BOTTLES in the back seat. The car hadn’t even been cleaned. So I called hertz again. Another 3 hour hold. No one ever answered me. Then I started calling local hertz shops. They told me to drive to a location to swap out my car, it was 30 miles away, but I didn’t care. So on my vacation, the day my husband graduated from basic (after not seeing him for 8 months) I drove to get a different car. I got there and there WERE NO RENTALS AVAILABLE. They apologized and said “i don’t know who told you to come here” and I told them “someone that works here because I called this number and they told me I could swap out my car!” So they sent me to a neighboring hertz. 40 miles in the opposite direction. Guess what? NO CARS AVAILABLE. I gave up. I took the car to the car wash and detailed it myself. Vacuumed up the ants, cleaned the trash left in there. Then every day for the remainder if my trip I would spend 1-2 hours on the phone. Trying to talk to someone. But never got through to anyone! Until the last day of my trip. They said “since you never called, the tire and the ant problem is your responsibility. And if you come back on a spare tire you will be charged an additional $150 for us to fix it plus the cost of a new tire and the damages done to the spare for driving on it.” I was in shock. So I paid for a new tire. Got back to the airport, turned in my keys and they told me to call customer service because they couldn’t do anything. So I called customer service. They wanted to give me a $50 voucher for “my inconveniences” (the car rental was almost $400) I asked to speak to a manager 4 separate times of explaining this whole story and being transferred, waiting on hold and just having the worst experience ever, and each time I NEVER GOT A CALL BACK. Terrible experience to say the least. Completely dissatisfied and will tell everyone this story about how hertz ruined my vacation.

We thought we had booked the car from the Airport, but realized only after going to the counter that the car was rented via a Hertz rental agency in downtown Atlanta so we needed to Uber there to pick up the car and drop it back off there and Uber to the Airport. This was my fault as I didn't think that if you put Rental Car Atlanta Hartsfield Airport into the Kayak search engine it would give you other pick-up places.... When we got to the Hertz rental agency they were very busy, but the desk staff were very efficient and very friendly. This being said, the car we were given was very dirty and it was clear it had not been cleaned between renters. The inside of the car was the worst, which really surprised me as I would have thought given COVID, any efforts to clean the car should have prioritized the inside. We finally had to stop at a gas station to do some cleaning. I think this is the first time I have returned my Hertz car substantially cleaner than when I picked it up! My past experiences with Hertz have been excellent (I am even a 5 star Gold Plus Rewards client), so I will assume this time around was due to the effects of the sanitary crisis and the difficulty to staff all the positions. Do note I do plan to rent from Hertz again in the future as these are difficult times and Hertz has been an excellent company for me in the past.

We arrived at our confirmed pickup time, only to be told that they had no cars and we’d have to wait 1-2 hours and hope something would be returned. NothingSomehow my reservation was made to downtown Atlanta. Why? Two different counter people were unbelievably rude. The car was beat up with 38,000 miles on it. Then the location closed before my reservation time was up and they want to charge me $25 more to drop it off at the open airport location. Terrible all around.

It's offsite from the airport (You have to take a train from the terminal to the rental car center, and then take a shuttle from the rental car center to the Routes location. Pickup was extremely difficult, and the car smelled like an ashtray. Would never use again.

Honestly, nothing.We called from the rental center in order to get a shuttle pick up only to be told that they had no cars and wouldn’t have any for 3 hours. So, I cancelled my reservation.

I reserved a car and went to go pick it and they were closed. I called customer service and nothing. Would be nice if I knew that they were going to be closed and I wouldn’t have paid for a rental.They could have their hours up online instead of on a sheet of printer paper on the door so no one gets tricked into renting a car they can’t get!

Convenient location, great staffThe agency is just a block from the downtown Hilton and Marriott, and close to many other hotels. There was a large staff so it was quick and professional.A little pressure to buy more insurance than I wanted.
