9.5 Excellent
Pros: there was none available
7.9 Good
Pros: Nice clean and comfortable room with small balcony. Good location
Cons: The "secure" parking was not secure. Pedestrians can enter through the barrier and the barrier lifts automatically on exit. Anyone can therefore walk in and steal your belongings and/or car, particularly as the hotel is unattended after 9 pm. Tea or coffee making facilities somewhere, or even a vending machine would be helpful. Towels were like sandpaper!

Hotel Meson Del Gallo - Albarracín - Building

9.0 Excellent (1,586 reviews)

Offering a picturesque setting in the historic town of Albarracín, Hotel Mesón del Gallo was completely renovated in 2015. It features rustic rooms with free WiFi and a hydro-massage shower. It offers easy access to the Guadalaviar River and the Sierra de Albarracín Mountains. Each attractive room at Hotel Mesón del Gallo has simple, bright décor with dark wooden furnishings. 9.6 Excellent

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Good location and easy parking. Plenty of public parking.
Cons: None
7.0 Good
Pros: The hotel is nicely designed and has the best views of the town. It was perfectly clean. It's on the main road, close to plenty free parking, and a short walk up to the town.
Cons: We were there on Christmas day, so there wasn't much traffic, but one lorry did pass slowly and it was very noisy in the room (second / top floor). The breakfast was not great, but if you're not fussy, it's worth 3 euros. The biggest disappointment was one of the staff. The least pleasant and helpful hotel worker ever. The greeting we received on arrival was non-existent, to the point of being made to feel like intruding on her personal time. We were just given the room key, and no conversation. Strangely we were not even asked for any identification - unheard of in Spain. There were later a couple more unpleasant incidents, then as we were leaving with a lot of luggage, she watched as we struggled to get through the awkward swing-door, offering no assistance at all. There was no feeling of being welcome in this hotel.
7.5 Good
Pros: liked the proximity of the hotel to the old town closeness of the restaurants breakfast very good and at a reasonable price shower area good Use of a refrigerator was excellent
Cons: Not a fault of the hotel but area was rather hilly for 2 (76) year old people
7.9 Good
Pros: Very clean with a soft bed and plenty of warmth.
Cons: The noise from the road was shocking. Trucks roared by at 8 am. Everything else was okay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great value for the money. Warm and cozy on a cold winter night.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The restaurant was excellent.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location with breathtaking views. Restaurant next to hotel which is convenient . The breakfast at the hotel was value for money.

Pros: Lovely traditional room nice and cool bonus if air con very clean. There was a festival on when we arrived so there was a great atmosphere in the village. There is also a smashing pizza restaurant a short walk away. No one speaks English here and we didn’t speak Spanish but google translate got us through.
Cons: The air con dripping as the only thing I could fault

8.6 Excellent (1,177 reviews)
Overview Reviews
A stay at Hostal los Palacios places you in the heart of Albarracin, steps from Serranía de Cuenca and Julianeta House. The front desk is staffed during limited hours.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location is very good as it is close to free parking and also it is easy to walk into the town centre without any steep climbs, which is important for us of a certain age. Good basic clean comfortable room (apart from my one comment) and excellent value for money. Breakfast was very good for the price also.
Cons: Bedspreads needed washing, everything else was fine.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location and scenery was lovely
Cons: Couldn’t really fault the property.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful view of the town and ravine. Strong Wifi Pleasant staff
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very clean, good size room, good wifi connection, nice bathroom, gorgeous view and a balcony with chairs and table., quiet. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again and in the same room
Cons: The hotel advertises a restaurant. It’s closed. Breakfast (served by a very nice lady) is just coffee, orange juice, toast and a cake (3€). Water wasn’t very hot.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: This is a hidden gem and well worth the trip. Nestled in the mountain town of Albaraccin, this small mountain house has great views, comfortable but simple accommodations and is within easy walking distance of the site seeing areas of town and restaurants.
Cons: I would pay more for a more substantial breakfast. It was fine, just coffee, juice and a pastry but with the lovely view, a full breakfast option would be nice. The wifi is pretty slow here but I don't think there is anything that can be done as it's very rural.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was just as you would want it to be, I had a perfect stay.
Cons: Nothing at all everything was great!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable and very clean! Nicely decorated, friendly staff

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean spacious bedroom with comfortable beds. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Thank you for looking after us.
Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: We did not have the breakfast because we went for a walk during the time but we found a great bakery in town that had wonderful fresh baked goods. The room was clean and nice, the hostess (Tsylow) extremely nice and friendly.
Cons: The shower has a hand held head on a flex hose and the wall mount is not adjustable so if you have the water pressure up and the shower head on the hook it will spray water out of the shower. It requires you to hold the shower head (nozel) at all times.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Hotel Valdevecar is a small hotel in Spain mountains ca 1 km far from the center of Albarracin. Hotel was clean and the staff was very kind, helpful and friendly. Later check-in and check-out was no problem. Breakfast wasn´t included but the price for the accommodation was very friendly. We want to come back next year again!
Cons: The double bed in the comfort room was very, very soft. We had a feeling that we slept on the trampoline. But I understand that for someone it could be comfortable.
7.1 Good
Pros: Lovely staff Nice view No outside noise, but the restaurant was closed Lots of hot water, good pressure but couldn't get the benefit Parking
Cons: WiFi intermittent Restaurant closed. If I had known I wouldn't have booked. I travel on a motorcycle and only book places where I can eat, or reasonably walk to eat, neither in this case. Very noisy from room or flat above my room. Drains very noisy. Small room, one small wicker stool, more like a hostel. Shower head holder faulty so couldn't use all the water pressure.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was friendly and helpful. Bathroom was spotless.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great value for money - well located.
Cons: The thin walls / adjacent room noises...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice comfy hotel with very friendly reception. Beautiful, quiet location within walking distance of historic town with amazing moorish castle dominating the hill. Lovely staff who were really helpful - recommended.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is on the outskirts of Albarracín but within walking distance of the town (I would recommend walking if there are a lot of tourists because the carparks get full). The hotel is clean, quiet and the bed was comfortable and there is also wi fi (which works well!) and free parking. The owner is very friendly and there's a breakfast option for only 5€.
Cons: The only downside was that if you pay for breakfast you can only drink one cup of coffee, unless you want to pay for another one! I thought this a little mean.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything correct
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Easy parking, good view towards caste of Albarracin. Just an easy 15 minute walk to actual town. Could have used car as the parking in the Town was ample. Hostess was very nice and chatty, but didn't seem to speak English, which was not a problem for us but might be for other visitors. Breakfast was good value for money, though basic, and you see to request it the night before. The area is remarkable for its landscape and Albarracin is well worth a visit.
Cons: No problems. It was as described, basic but clean and adequate for our one night stay.
7.9 Good
Pros: We did not notice a food option as this hostel does not have a restaurant so missed the chance to request breakfast and coffee. Our fault I suppose. Otherwise good value and close to the centre of the town. We arrived for one night only and didn't expect to find a festival day and a bull running so the place was buzzing and all the bars were busy keeping up! An added bonus for us. Will check next time for any small town visit.... Q1: are they having a bull run!
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Clean and good shower.
Cons: Had to ring lady to get in. No wifi, no view, no hairdryer. Very small bed. No aircon.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was a beautiful place to stay, with fantastic views of the town and surrounding area. our rooms were lovely, comfortable and clean.
Cons: Nothing really. It was lovely. We were on a cycling holiday, and perhaps a bigger breakfast would have been appreciated!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is our second review as the hotel is owned by the same people as the Rodena, which my partner and I stayed at. We came as a 4 and our guests only had good things to say about this hotel. I really wanted to say thank you to the owners for being such great hosts, they gave our guests lifts with their luggage up the steep hill, understood and helped us with our terrible Spanish and on New Years Eve we were left a generous gift of cured meats and cheeses to enjoy. Finally, on a very early departure, we managed to leave our 2nd set of house keys in the room. The hosts very generously posted them back to us, which we were extremely grateful for. These guys are very genuine and friendly people, I would highly recommend staying at either hotel, the rooms are fantastic for the price and having such great hosts added to that a lot. Thanks again.
Cons: Steep walk which gets to you after a week but really not that bad

Cons: -small window
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice, cosy apartment on top of the hill where the gorgeously beautiful village Albarracin is built. We had an apartment on the ground floor, unfortunately with view only to the wall of neigbouring house, but that was for us the only unimportant issue :) We spent the early morning before breakfast and afterwards almost all day walking around in this fairytale-style Albarracin village and ejoyed it 100%! The breakfast was a nice addition despite it was very simple. Would return anytime again.
