Not bad
Although this hotel is outside of the main part of town, and there isn't much to explore in the immediate neighborhood, the location is a 5 minute walk to the tram (#2) that will take you directly into the city—all the way to Amsterdam Centraal. Nice garden area in the front for smoking. Nice new bathroom. Comfortable mattress.
The common areas (hallways, etc) could use some love.

I cannot understand why a lift that should facilitate all 4 floors only works for 1... the 4th.

The Best Western Amsterdam is located in Amsterdam West District, just off the A10 City Ring. In 20 minutes you can reach the old city center by public transport. The hotel features a private parking space, 24 hour reception desk, a bar and terrace. The rooms of the Best Western Amsterdam have en suite bathrooms with a shower, toilet and free toiletries.
