I stayed at Stovall for the Star Wars Rebel Challenge Half Marathon weekend. The morning of the 10k, breakfast was served early for the racers - a huge plus! Everything was set out and with the hotel being so close to Downtown Disney, we were able to leave at 5:00am and still make it with plenty of time to get into our corral. The food is simple but fulfilling - muffins, bananas, Nutella, peanut butter, french toast, canadian bacon and sausage, cereal/granola, etc. My favorite part is actually their guava juice and mango enhance water from their juice machine. (: The room was comfortable and the linens and towels very clean - the number one thing I care about.
The morning of the half marathon, the staff setting up breakfast was clearly not as excited as the folks that had helped out the day before. Everything was running low or was out (bananas, peanut butter - and if you want to see a large group of racers get antsy, just take away these two things). I let the front desk know and a very unenthused person sauntered out with some extras. Eh, breakfast is breakfast so this isn't really a make-it-or-break-it kind of thing. While my neighbors were not loud, you can hear everything from the room next to yours that has the adjoining door. They were just chatting and I felt like they were in the room with me. Luckily, they were staying there for the race as well so they went to sleep about the same time as me and woke up about the same time, otherwise our sleep-at-10/11pm and awake-at-4am schedules could have been an issue.
location price convenience staff rooms availability
parking lot full
Very close to Disneyland
They let us check in at 9am, already had our rooms ready. They told us we could go have breakfast, even though check in was suppose to be at 3p.m. good breakfast variety. I would stay there again.
Close to Disneyland. Comfortable beds. Great staff.
Smelt like sewer during our stay.
Convenient access to Disneyland and easy check-in/check-out
loud in the morning if you're staying on the first floor
We have stayed here several times. The rooms are always clean and the grounds are well maintained. We enjoy the close proximity to Disneyland and the plentiful breakfast each morning. We will stay here on any future trips to Disneyland.
The breakfast area can become over crowded at times. Not a fan of the added cost for parking.
Loved the friendliness of the staff. The rooms were very comfy and clean. The continental breakfast was amazingly good!
Having to pay for parking
I loved how close the hotel was to the park. And we could see the fireworks from our hotel!
The breakfast was edible but not great. And we had to pay for parking which when I asked said it was free.
The room was very clean. The location was good.
The room was very small. Probably the smallest hotel room ive ever stayed in. I guess i should have done a little more research but i assumed it would be a decent size given that i requested two queen beds. For my family of 4 it was a bit annoying trying to get around. Especially since the chair to the desk was too big for the desk therefore couldn't be pushed it all the way and it was sticking out. We managed but definitely wouldst stay in a room that size again. We also had ants. Didn't bother me too much, just figured i would mention it so they could let their pest control know.
Paying for parking separate when the ad said parking included
Second stay. Both visits have been nice. Small, but clean room. Good proximity to D-land. Continental breakfast could use more variety from day to day. Staff helpful and friendly.
Couldn't beat the price this close to the Happiest Place on Earth.
Booking the hotel room was easy! The day before I got a text from the hotel saying to let them know if I had any questions about the hotel and confirming my arrival time. I was excited thinking that they were on top of it. How ever upon arrival that changed.
Parking at the hotel was CRAZY! You paid $10 per night for a spot, however after leaving for dinner and coming back there were no spots left. We were told to just park on a red curb in the lot. So now im paying to park illegally. The WiFi was very slow. Rooms were really cramped. And we paid for a King room and got a double bed.
Location was fantastic. You can see the fireworks at Disney Land from the pool. I appreciated that there was 2 pools and 2 hot tubs. They also had cabanas around the pools. Very nice set up. Breakfast was pretty good. Descent selection and they had food set up in various spits so I didn't have to wait too long to get what I wanted.
Location is close to convention center and Disneyland. Rooms are nicely appointed, but a bit cramped with 2 double beds and a table. Breakfast includes many selections and good value. Attendants do a good job.
The a/c is very loud and makes it extremely difficult to get a decent nights sleep.
This hotel has the best location!! The breakfast was good. The staff was great. Room was clean & beds are comfortable
The heater/air unit was so loud. Also I would like to stay on the top floor next time as the other hotel guests were very loud walking back to their rooms at night. The coffee at the breakfast was gross.
Customer service was bad. Not enough parking
The staff was nice and friendly and the continental breakfast was the best i had before.
Had trouble finding parking in the lot
It was only about 2 blocks from the a grand CA hotel which we used as a shortcut to downtown Disney. Really disappointing otherwise.
There were roaches in the bathroom so we switched rooms and the second room had even more. There was even a cocoon like thing they seemed to have hatched from it was absolutely disgusting. To top it off on the 2nd day of our stay there the room wasn't cleaned which is probably why they have roaches. I attempted to leave but since I booked it through Kayak there was nothing the hotel staff could do and they tried which I can appreciate.
You can't beat the location.
I thought I booked a one queen or king sized bed room but instead we were stuck in 2 full sized beds. I called the front desk and they said that because I booked through a third party there was nothing they could do. It was pretty disappointing.
It was close to disney, and the rooms were clean.
The staff was not really pleasant this trip (normally they are fine). Rooms area little cramped. The breakfast has gone downhill.
There were many cockroaches in our room we found them everywhere it was disgusting
They had hidden fees, so when I arrived I had to pay $10/ per day to park at the hotel.
