Pros: first class
Cons: nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very welcoming B&B, like staying in a good friend's house. Very clean and spacious room and bathroom. Good full English breakfast. Lovely dogs, too :). 10 min walk to Andover town center. Nice river side walk nearby.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything.
Cons: Nothing.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good location with plenty of parking. Lovely spacious room overlooking the garden. Tea and coffee making facility in the room. Good freshly cooked breakfast was lovely but it would have been nice to be able to specify how many sausages, bacon, hash browns I would like as I ended up unable to eat everything. Great if you have a good appetite.
Cons: Unusual 'pod' shower room had been fitted in the bedroom. There was a step up into the bathroom which was awkward in the night. The bathroom was very clean but not very big. It would have been difficult for a larger adult or someone with mobility issues. The owners had a lovely dog which did have a habit of wandering into the breakfast room and crawling under the table. We didn't mind but I think some people may have found this annoying especially if you were allergic to pet hairs.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was really very well presented and cooked just right, near to the town so went for an evening meal.
Cons: Nothing could have been better, the hosts Mike and Sarah even invited us down for the evening with them very kind and most appreciated.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was marvellous. Very friendly and welcoming host and extra greetings from Winnie. Lovely big spotless room with everything you needed and a very comfy bed for a great nights sleep. Breakfast was amazing, great choice of perfectly cooked food. Our Alf dog loved it too
Cons: Nothing. It was perfect.

Pros: Everything was excellent - Mike was the perfect host and a brilliant cook.
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice welcome, host Mike was friendly and helpful. The bedroom was spacious as was the en suite and spotlessly clean. Plenty of storage space. The beds were so comfy. The breakfast was spot on and set us up for the day.

Pros: I've stayed before and decided to book again. Excellent location for our journey, breakfast was excellent & welcoming host.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely country pub nice quotes location, beautiful decorated rooms and comfortable. Food lovely and staff very friendly.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A beautiful country hotel. Completely geared up for dogs. With bowl, blanket, biscuits and even dog beer! In the room. Lovely peaceful countryside for walking. We even sat by the fire pit in the evening outside relaxing with the dogs. Can really recommend this hotel.
Cons: Nothing.
7.0 Good
Pros: The food and setting was excellent.
Cons: Our room was directly above the entrance and bar. We were disturbed by shouting and screaming until midnight. Apparently the noise was caused by locals, we were told to request a room far from the bar next visit. If you want any sleep before midnight sure you let them know when you book, and get a room far from the bar.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, ambiance, decor, quality, bedroom, food, helpful staff
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent

Cons: nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were extremely friendly and nothing was too much. Beautiful room and every tiny detail was taken into account. Possibly the best we have ever stayed in.
Cons: We stayed in the Greyhound room as found it a little too warm even with the fan on and windows open, this did not ruin our stay at all.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Stopped overnight here on our way back home to Leigh-on-Sea from Cornwall. I chose it as its virtually halfway between the A303 and M4 giving me options if one of the routes is struggling with traffic.....and I'm really glad I booked. Great menu, with seasonal game options, cooked and presented brilliantly. Manageable and good valued wine list. Although I travel with my own cigars, its good to know that I can also get a decent cuban stick to enjoy after dinner at this place! Really good country Inn, and will definitely be staying again.
Cons: I was happy with everything.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location for Thruxton, lovely owners, lovely breakfast, room was just what i needed
Cons: The stone driveway is alway difficult for a bike, but thats my only comment
5.8 Okay
Pros: It was an OK place. Could do with more information for guests - ironing for example - had to ask but it’s OK. Needed a desk to work on and had to improvise. The hostess was really nice and welcoming. Just a bit more shabby than shabby chic if I’m honest but I would go back.
Cons: Just a little bit more up-dated and cleaning could be improved.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Hosts were lovely, attentive, without being intrusive. Some nice touches, like transferring a book I was reading to my new room - and on the page I'd left it on.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was the perfect place to stay my partner and her father had the best nights sleep in a month after being away travelling abroad. Simply brilliant.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: What a wonderful place! Quintessential England. My room was large, comfortable with an enormous bathroom. It was filled with interesting antique furniture and had views over the delightful garden and orchard. My full English breakfast was too much, but so tasty. Thanks again Jill for a heavenly stay! My life has been enriched.
Cons: Leaving!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location perfect, quiet , but not too easy to find. Felt very welcome and pampered. Great breakfast in a lovely kitchen with a wonderful view to the garden.
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful house and location. Lovely, friendly welcome. Privacy, comfort and all needs catered for. A superb breakfast.
Cons: I can’t think of anything
10.0 Excellent
Pros: From the moment we arrived we were given an extra warm welcome and it felt like visiting family. The property is gorgeous and the room was super cosy. Breakfast in the morning was exceptional. We had stayed for a wedding at Penton Park, over the road, but did not know what time we would be back. We let our hosts know and this wasn't a problem. Would definitely recommend staying here.
Cons: Nothing! All was good

Cons: Nothing to dislike
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great place, Caroline was a lovely host, nice place, good location. Only 20 minutes from Stonehenge.
6.3 Good
Pros: Beautiful country cottage, free car park on grounds. Comfy bed. 10 min walk to a lovely friendly lil country pub, the area is great to visit in a car lots of monumental sites and history, fresh air, quiet, lovely walks great scenery. Last day, landlady was very friendly, has a very cute little dog, a West Highland Terrier.
Cons: There where some confusion with my booking when I got there, not what I really wanted after travelling approx 500 miles, no password given for WI fi, when I had breakfast, juice was taken away before I had finished, other guests where offered beans with their breakfast, myself and my partner where not, made us feel short changed, with the exception of the last day, the land lady seemed almost offish, not friendly, there where thick dust on top of the wardrobe, looked like specs of food on the carpet, shower was ridiculously small, a gap of approx 18 inches to get in the glass shower doors, the shower was approximately 3 feet wide with a shell arch shape. Had to spend 20 mins cleaning the kettle, as it had thick floating lime scale floating at the bottom, there seemed to be issues with the towels as there wasn't enough to go around when I got there, In the hotel book, you are asked to leave dirty towels folded in the bathroom floor, which we did, the landlady stepped over the towels when we left for the day sight seeing, left my partner and I with wet dirty towels, replaced the toilet paper which didn't need replacing and the water jug. The landlady never introduced herself and never new her name. Not asked for my name originally when I arrived, which is why there where some Confusion as the landlady thought we where someone else, awkward, Landlady wanted to know what time we would like breakfast on the last day, we said 8 am, to which she replied, "good, cos I have to go to the Isle of man early. When I came down for breakfast the first morning, it is large and roomy downstairs, I saw a couple of rooms, first one had what looked like a small set table, to confirm this was where the guests eat. I asked the landlady this, In which she replied. Well it has a chair and a table doesn't it?
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Think this is the third time I've stayed here. Clean and comfortable, homely. Everything works, pleasant rural location though very handy for Andover. Very affordable, cheaper and better than many of the other places I've stayed in the surrounding area.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were friendly and, couldn’t have been more helpful. The food and wine were good value for money. The room was in keeping with the hotel, and was comfortable and clean.
7.5 Good
Pros: This is a very pretty, traditional English country house, with all the quirks of an original old house. The staff were wecolming and we really enjoyed our stay.
7.5 Good
Pros: Beautiful house and rose garden
Cons: Decor in our room was a bit tired and shame the tennis court has been neglected.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: A very enjoyable overnight stay. Lovely spacious room and gorgeous food.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Excellent food and a good wine list, the dinner B&B option was excellent value. Lovely grounds, ample parking easy to find though quite a remote location, which we knew when booking but handy for Highclere Castle and Bombay Sapphire distillery.
Cons: Decor needs updating, breakfast room lovely, dining room half of a function room with big sliding door presumably to a dance floor area, totally lacking in character eg not a single picture on the walls and flat lighting.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous food, clean comfortable rooms with some character, a beautiful building surrounded by lovely views, and friendly staff.
Cons: Some of the furnishings were a little tired perhaps to the detriment of the beautiful rooms, on the other hand this helps retain character, in other places modern refurbishment tends to make everywhere the same and soulless, so mixed views on this one!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It’s friendly atmosphere
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: excellent breakfast as was dinner. staff very friendly, helpful and attentive

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. Location was brilliant and we had a lovely room at the back so no noise from the high street. The bed was the most comfy I've stayed in for a very long time. The linen was fresh and lovely quality. The shower was powerful. There was plenty of tea and coffee in the room. Free car park. There isn't a bar but you can buy drinks from reception if needed.
Cons: Nothing at all
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice hotel/ motel
Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: I was only there for two nights. I spent most of my days with family. It was good experience. However breakfast wasn’t included, apparently they used to include it in the price. I’m not sure how accurate that is but I’m sure you could look it up if you want.
Cons: My key didn’t work on the second night but I informed reception and they resolved the matter quickly.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We are frequent visitors and know what to expect They have never let is down
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The friendly staff, location, facilities, lovely breakfast, comfortable bed.
Cons: Nothing.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: An old school hotel right in the town centre offering something different to the chains. Wonderful old building with history and wonky floors offering comfortable, spacious and spotlessly clean accommodation. Plenty of staff on hand all very pleasant and focussed on customer service. Great breakfast, wide choice to suit most in a pleasant environment.
Cons: The car park takes some finding to the rear of the building but where the location is served from. Signage is restricted and easily missed. Rooms in the old coach house to the rear may be different to being in the main Inn. The ground floor at the front is a Pizza Express. Personally being on the front overlooking the pedestrianised town centre, I did have a very small issue with noise about 1.30 ish but nothing the hotel is responsible for but on questioning, the staff were surprised and I believe that was a genuine response.
9.0 Excellent

7.9 Good
Pros: Great breakfast, lovely staff, nice toom

Pros: Helpful, friendly staff, delicious food & very well equipped room
Cons: Bed slightly too soft (for us).
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely Inn, very friendly polite staff, nothing was too much trouble. Our stay was for 1 night in the family room with 2 young children as an overnight stop off. Perfect for 1 x night to break up our road trip. Very clean and the food was excellent.
Cons: Shower tray filled up a little too much, but that really was the only thing I can say.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely comfy beds, cosy pub atmosphere and quiet rooms. The food was lovely in the pub and we enjoyed a nice relaxed meal. The rooms seems a bit basic but fine for what I needed for a business overnight. Breakfast cooked to order was lovely too! Oh and posh tea bags which is always a nice touch.
Cons: The bathroom was small and just functional but was clean. It was probably the only slight downside.
9.0 Excellent

Cons: The bed was on wheels and we kept losing pillows down the back.
7.9 Good
Pros: Parking, food and staff.
Cons: Needs decorating
8.3 Excellent
Cons: The wide wooden edge to the bed, which was also against a wall. It made it very difficult to get in and out of bed, a few bruises. Nowhere to put any belongings.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Had an evening meal, the food was excellent and the waitress was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good too. Bar and restaurant beautifully decorated and good atmosphere.
Cons: The room was small with double bed against the wall which isn’t ideal for 2 adults. Would be more suited for a single traveller. Didn’t feel overly welcome but ok.
7.9 Good
Pros: Interesting and quirky decor, staff very friendly and helpful. Very clean but a little tired.
Cons: The soundproofing not so good in bedroom. A shelf needed in bathroom nowhere to put toiletries and cosmetics also no bin.

7.5 Good
Pros: Hotel was easy to get too. Was impressed with the buffet breakfast offering
Cons: Service at the bar was slow, and it was mostly unmanned the night while I was in it.
4.2 Okay
Pros: Not a lot
Cons: Rooms not very clean. Not enough beds in a family room for the people booked. No staff to service reception and bar (only 1 member of staff to do both, so service was poor)
7.9 Good
Pros: Food was very good. Staff were polite and helpful. Shower was good.
Cons: First stop over we had someone mix up the room and another guest entered our room at 00.45am. Second stop over (this one), there was a party going on in the hotels function rooms next to our room. Very noisy and smell of cooking from 14:00hrs to 01:30hrs. The hotel should have put guests in room away from function. Not a good stay. I
1.0 Poor
Pros: Location was convenient.
Cons: Some hot water for a shower two nights running would have been nice. Vinegar could not be found anywhere for the chips in the evening meal and the reception trying to charge a hundred pound extra for our stay was not appreciated. The music playing continuously all night on our second night was also not to be recommended
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely comfy bed, fab tv. Very clean. Definitely recommend
Cons: N/a
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable and reasonably priced
Cons: N/A
7.0 Good
Pros: Plenty of fast hot water to bath.
Cons: Noise from an evening event. Children and adults were being noisy outside our room to get away from the noise of their event. Steps and slopes. Not wheelchair friendly. No disabled parking bay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff amazing food
Cons: Nothing
5.0 Okay
Pros: The breakfast was really good, lots of choice. Great coffee as well. In fact, I would go as far as to say the breakfast was the best part of the stay.
Cons: My room was a little bit tired.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Hotel set in a quiet location. My room was fine and bright. The bed was comfortable and everything was clean and well presented. dinner was good value and tasty (I had scampy)
Cons: Reception wasn't welcoming. Behind the desk it was generally grubby. On arrival the receptionist wasn't very forthcoming and didn't look like a well dressed receptionist, I had to ask about catering arrangements. On check out a different receptionist looked like he had just arrives as he still had his coat on! and it was still grubby. Some elements of breakfast spoiled the meal. The fried eggs were hard and the hash browns had been in the warmer so long that they were like damp flannels! The orange juice was really sweet.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The staff were helpful
Cons: I am a disabled person and the access to the building is poor. They have a ramp to the front entrance however you cannot get through the door with a motorised wheelchair. The other ramp is lethal it contraviens part M of the disability discrimination act.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: It was close to my family that i was visiting
6.0 Good
Pros: The friendly staff.
Cons: Bar/lounge not welcoming, limited food choices and a bit of a walk into town for more pub options.
5.7 Okay
Pros: It was the perfect location for us, returning from visiting family in London and broke the journey to Somerset. Staff were lovely and very attentive. Could not fault the staff at all.
Cons: We were very disappointed to be told on arrival at 6pm that the restaurant was closed. There was a big function on in the hotel which meant that we had a very small bar menu to choose from and had to sit in the bar at tables that were not comfortable to eat at. We had no heating in our room or bathroom due to the thermostat being turned down in the restaurant!! Luckily it wasn't cold when we woke up.
4.8 Okay
Pros: Staff are courteous and efficient
Cons: Hotel is in need of renovation. there is exposed pipework in rooms (hot water pipes)which present a health and safety issue.
4.0 Okay
Pros: The staff I met were friendly and smiled (not always the case!)
Cons: The room and geneal appearance of the hotel was somewhat tired and grubby
6.0 Good

Cons: Had to wait to be served at the bar as the barman was taking meal orders and acting as the waiter.
2.8 Mediocre
Pros:
Cons: Water not warm enough to shower. Faucet dripped all night. Tiny room. Tinier bathroom.
7.6 Good
Pros: nice and peaceful for what we wanted for the break we wanted and will stay there again
Cons: would have liked room with a shower
Overview Reviews
With a stay at White Hart Hotel by Marston's Inns in Andover, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Bombay Sapphire Distillery and Andover Museum and Museum of the Iron Age. Free self parking is available onsite.
7.1 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: I informed the hotel before hand that I was gluten and dairy intolerant but at breakfast the server tried to convince me that that meant I'd have the vegetarian breakfast. Although there was gluten free bread there was no dairy free spread or soya milk. So breakfast could have been better.
7.1 Good
Pros: Staff were very helpful and breakfast good.
Cons: Hairdryer not working, hot water not great and room cold without working radiator.
4.0 Okay
Pros: Food and drink
Cons: Bin still had rubbish in it bath was green
5.8 Okay
Pros: Location and that it is a historic inn. It was clean. The food was acceptable.
Cons: The walls are very thin. The room lighting needs improvement. The shower "door" leaks, like all the other barriers of this kind; a shower curtain would do a better job of keeping water off the bathroom floor. The staff isn't particularly friendly. No elevator and the walk to the back of the second floor included numerous steps which made handling luggage difficult.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The location being in the centre of town
Cons: A hotel that’s stuck in the 70s out dated and dirty didn’t looked like it had been cleaned since it was put up mould all around the bath room and bedroom shower screen had a brown stains all down it like some whipped there arse down the screen
7.0 Good
Pros: Nice enough place, very quaint, even has genuine squeaky floor boards, so no creeping around at night is possible! The bed was ok, softer than I am used to, but slept well. The food was good, certainly acceptable, but the menu could do with having the vegan options much more clearly marked as they are difficult to see. Breakfast was good, loved the bread, though the toaster machine had a habit of throwing the bread out the back rather than dropping it where it should do - this machine should probably be repaired as it is a serious health and safety risk having to stick your hand underneath it as far as you do to retrieve the bread. Plenty of breakfast, and the cooked part was nice. Staff were friendly, though seemed a bit harassed on the Saturday night, probably because it was very busy and there was only 2 of them. Went with an open mind and it was nice enough, but nothing really special.
Cons: Room was a bit dated, light bulb out, wall paper peeling in places, lout argument on the stairs outside the rooms at 5:30 and noisy beer delivery at around 6am (on a Sunday). Bar/restaurant was very busy and is quite small and difficult to get seated in on a Saturday night. Had to go hunt for cutlery/glasses and one of the card machines wasn't working which caused large delays at the bar.
7.9 Good
Pros: Good location. Room was quiet. Breakfast was value for money, with a lot of variety.
Cons: A chair or stool in the room would be useful. My wife had difficulty finding somewhere to sit to apply make-up. The door to room 12 was very difficult to shut. It didn't fit properly into the frame. This is a fire door!
5.0 Okay
Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful. We asked for another room as central heating wasn't working and this was immediately rectified and we were given another room.
Cons: The whole hotel needs a substantial upgrade and repair. Wall coverings in hall ripped showing original stonework. Heating system needs serious upgrade. No headboards so scrapes on walls in bedrooms. Wall socket was loose in corridor. Staff assured us this had been reported but no one had yet been to fix it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: As a contractor in the area, I stayed here 3 or 4 nights a week, for a few months. While the rooms are certainly not luxury, they are both comfortable and clean. The food is well priced and of good quality at any meal time and all the staff are always friendly and welcoming.
7.1 Good
Pros: The location was great and the food in the evening was great
Cons: My daughters duvet sheet was dirty The tv remote didn’t work Breakfasts in the morning was inedible
