white sand, blue sea - what else you need for a beach holidays :) wine on lunch and dinner (free) (1) Very strange "guest card" requirements: additional 6 euro/day (why not to include it in 130euro/day price?), but must pay to play table tennis, to take catamaran/pedalo). By the way, use of canoe is free. Very strange politic. (2) We found two differences from Egypt: plus - beach, minus - several time more expensive. Next time, i'll choose egypt - a lot of people (with and without children), animation during day and evening, queues in restaurant - all the same.
The beach is lovely, and being so close is a real advantage this place has. The rooms are comfortable, and it was quiet around the rooms. The sevice at reception was very poor. It took a long time to check in and they still forgot to give us key cards etc. Not many people in the resort speak English- so be prepared. Also if you're not on a full board and have lunch there- it is EUR27 each. Which we felt was way too expensive for the meal received. The resort is very family orientated- so while we still had a lovely time, it is perhaps not the best place for a young couple.
Easy access to the very beautiful beach - which was the best beach we've visited in europe. Foods at Moby Dick restaurant (for those staying at superior rooms) were delicious, fresh, authentic, and great variety. Entertainment for kids was so much fun! We found a 3 star hotel with upgrade was a better choice than 4 stars. In fact we liked Free Beach Club better than the luxurious 4 star hotel we stayed in Pula. Rooms are basic and a bit too small. We had a "sea view" superior triple room but not really direct view because of many trees around. Just like most other hotels in sardinia, it's very expensive at high seasons... although we had a great time overall.
Primarily this hotel is for families (and mainly Italian). However, as a young English couple we really enjoyed our stay regardless of this. The beach area without doubt resembles that of the Caribbean. Golden white sands, several shades of absolute clear blue sea. Beach area was very clean, well policed and maintained. We found it the perfect place to relax and wind down for a few days. Food in Hotel is excellent although breakfast is a bit sparse for English liking. Firstly, getting there, this hotel is on the Costa Rei (Monte Nai), follow the signs for Muravera then Costa Rei and you will arrive ok. The main downside was external of the Hotel & the town. There is nothing to do and the town is very quite, a couple of bars only and several Pizzeria restaurants mostly selling the same. There is an open air market open until 11.00 each night. Supermarkets closed at 20.00, Cagliari is 1.25 away, Muravera is very drab with little going on. Finally, the hotel beach area is reserved for hotel guests, it is five rows deep from the sea. If you have standard room you are only allowed in rows 3-5 (rows 1 & 2 are reserved for superior rooms), this wasn’t mentioned on booking, we complained & got row 2 ! ..note !!
Excellent location on a beautiful beach with sun loungers and umbrellas included and very nice. Food overall was pretty good, although see more comments on dining facilities. Dining facility lacked all ambiance. Bright, office-type lighting, no open air (should have allowed outdoor dining), very few non-communal tables, pizzeria closed in September, so no other options for dining. Also, pool is closed from 12:30 to 3:30 pm every day for lunch.
Receptionists, Bathroom, little shower box, bad smell, Dirty bed. Breakfast was poor, Expensive, really to avoid....
We were very impressed by the standard of the hotel. The room was immaculately clean and very comfortable. It was great having a fridge and kitchen area, and the little patio area with table was lovely. The hotel is in a very nice setting, in well maintained gardens, and it is quite small and does not feel too busy. The breakfast was excellent! I would definitely recommend the Albaruja to anyone - the price is reasonable, compared with other hotels in the area, and the location was excellent. A lot of the other hotels in the area are in the middle of nowehere, but the Albaruja is in a little village with a small supermarket nearby, and a good choice of restaurants etc. The beach is within walking distance and you can hire bicycles or cars in the little shop next door. The staff were helpful and arranged return transfers to and from the airport for us - especially convenient as our flight got in after midnight. A great hotel - we would come back.
peaceful location - rooms and surroundings kept clean and well loooked after. no
The staff we very welcoming and most pleasant to speak to every day. The grounds and hotel were very well kept and the rooms very clean. Breakfast was simple but was all that we needed and the hotel is perfecty positioned by a wonderful beach. The music played out by the pool was a nice touch and added to the atmosphere. My only criticism is the bed was very basic and quite uncomfortable. Would be ok if you only stayed one or two nights. Maybe the hotel could offer sun lounges, sun umbrellas for guests to use on the beach.
The price is a bit too high for what you get. Despite the hotel is near to the beach, there is no beach towel service.
Beach Receptionists, Bathroom (extra little shower box, bad smell), Dirty bed. Expensive. The worst value for money we have ever faced.
rooms are very nice, comfortable and huge. Beach is wonderful - nice, quiet, absolutly clean! Poor breakfast, booring surroundings - nothing to do in the evening
very friendly staff, good location and other. poor breakfast and no internet
Good location close to the beach, staff friendly, good car parking. Apparently the pool closed at 18.30, although we were able to get in later than this.
Great location just a couple minutes walk to the beach although the hotel pool was lovely too. Room had a kitchenette which was very useful as hotel only offers breakfast.
