9.5 Excellent
Pros: - Want to say again our big thanks to Laura for her help and patience when we stuck on the road in the middle of nowhere due to the car accident. She managed to reach the car rental support before us and explained how to find us in Spanish. We've been evacuated promptly mostly thanks to her. She's an absolutely amazing host with great English ready to go an extra mile! - beautiful modern townhouse with spotless facilities - nice cozy interiors - Very peaceful scenery and beautiful views of sunset ( even from the bathroom :) - outside rest area and big balcony terraces with tables as well - convenient parking - Excellent spot to travel to White Villages around - Big Mercadona supermarket nearby with excellent choice of everything - nespresso service provided - this is a relax and tranquility place that not so easy to find in the modern world
Cons: - the local restaurant is overpriced and the food is pretty average
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Peaceful location, back garden and outside terraces. Spacious house and great bathroom.
Cons: Everything was very good, no complaints. Kitchen wise could do with a larger roasting tray or dish for tray bakes etc.
9.5 Excellent
Cons: The location is beautiful and quiet set in a golf course. You will need a car though as it is a few miles to the nearest town.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Exceptional staff, great location, and beautiful townhouse.
Cons: Nothing to say...everything was great
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We have an excellent home close to city Arcos de la Frontera. Staff was very helpful and communicative. The accommodation was very spacious and very clean. It is hard to believe that there is such a quiet residential space so close to the Arcos de la Frontera. Place is very safe for kids. We can highly recommend this home/place.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We absolutely loved staying here. Nuria and Laura are very kind and helpful hosts who will make you feel welcome and give you lots of information about the surroundings etc. The house was spotless clean, spacious, bright, well equipped but not too much stuff either which we value as minimalist. The beds are comfortable, there are extra blankets. The bathroom was big, clean and very bright. All lights have dimming function which is great. The surroundings are just amazing. Olive trees wherever you look and lots and lots of hiking and walking around the area. You have a balcony and terrace and it's a pleasure to sit out there in the sun and just hear the birds and once in a while see a golf player in the distance. You have a parking spot right infront of your house. There is a hotel at the complex where you can eat at the restaurant. We once had coffee there for breakfast and it's lovely to sit in their jard. We really loved everything about this place and already look into coming back with friends at some point this or next year.
Cons: That we only booked this place for the last couple of days of our holidays and couldn't stay longer :(
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A perfect get away from it all. Although a golf resort and not a golfer it was exactly what we wanted to get away
Cons: Nothing to dislike

Pros: One of the most beautiful and particular places we have been during our round trip in Andalucia. The room, the location... Just wow! Super clean as well and Isa made our stay even more perfect. She is super kind and can give you the best advices ever!
Cons: -
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The location of this B&B is awesome! It is right in the middle of the white hill town, situated between 2 cathedrals. The views are just amazing! We only stayed one night and regret that. We feel like it would have been better to stay at least 2 nights to get a real feel for the town. Our hosts were very nice and accommodating. We had a lovely breakfast on the rooftop terrace. Fabulous location! Make sure you follow the directions on the map they provide before check-in. GPS does not work in this town. Our GPS lead us into a maze of narrow paths in the lower part of the town. The hotel is located in the upper part, which is accessible by a much wider entry road and only a few turns in the narrow lanes. Luckily, a nice local man helped us by leading us out and around the town to the right entrance. Parking is located in front of the large cathedral.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great hosts, room was lovely with terrace and very comfortable.
Cons: The car park is a little away from the property, which isn't a problem but the Sat nav didn't recognise this.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The whole property was beautiful and our room was really nice. Great views from the terrace. Isabel was a fantastic host and gave us so many suggestions about what to visit and where to eat.
Cons: THe house is in a great location, in the middle of the old town, but trying to park the car in the nearby parking is a bit difficult because of the narrow streets.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing old building with spectacular views from the terrace, and superb hospitality from very welcoming, helpful hosts, who prepared a wonderful breakfast. I wish we had stayed 2 nights or longer.
Cons: The brevity of our stay! 1 night is too short for Arcos de la Frontera.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Isabel and Jim are such welcoming and helpful hosts. They thought of every detail possible to make our stay special. We loved every moment of our stay in Casa Campana. The room was comfortable and quaint. We loved the rooftop patio and the views are phenomenal. The location is superb.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Excellent hosts. Historic charm. Highly recommended. We were only sorry we couldn’t stay longer.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent host. Centrally located.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast -lovely kind hosts. Suited a one night stay. Great views and walking tour information was interesting
Cons: The location is extremely challenging- the property is high in a hill town and access to the car park was nervewracking on narrow streets. Jim was very helpful but one needs to be aware it is not for the faint hearted. Suited a one night stay. Iron and ironing board would have suited our personal needs but we were too tired to request them so they may have been available.
9.5 Excellent
Cons: The road to the location is very confusing for the driver. Arcos has an one way and narrow street. It is very difficult to drive and find the parking spot.

Pros: Lovely hosts, fabulous views, nice room and bathroom, good roof terrace, fine breakfast. Short walk to main attractions and great restaurants. Welcome 'help yourself kitchenette' stocked with snacks and drinks. Local minibus from car park to house for 1€.
Cons: Some very steep, twisty staircases up to our room. Definitely not for anybody with limited mobility. WiFi signal very weak on upper floors.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were upgraded due to being on our honeymoon. We were treated with graciousness and kindness. Amazing view from the room, great breakfast. The best stay of our 10 days throughout Spain.
Cons: Not a thing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great place in an old building in old Arcos. Very quaint and the staff were great. Beware of the big hill that the property is on that makes it challenging to walk to, but if you can manage it, it is well worth it.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The view from the room was amazing. The breakfast was very good with guitar live playing.
Cons: The room needed to be better ventilated.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The couple who run this lovely guesthouse in the very pretty white village of Arcos de la Frontera are Superb hosts. We were given very clear driving instructions how to get there from our hostess, along with a warm welcome and guide how to get the best out of our trip. Our bedroom on the top floor of this old house was quaint, clean and very comfortable. Our check out after breakfast, the following morning was accompanied by the most beautiful Spanish guitar music being played discreetly by the host, an accomplished musician.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The building is located in the heart of the old city and the views are stunning from the rooftop deck as well as from our room. The entire property was immaculately clean. Laura was an absolute joy. So helpful and patient with us and she gave great recommendations.
Cons: Despite detailed directions to Arcos, it was really difficult to find the right place to park, but once you get there it is well worth the trip. A real gem and a highlight of our trip to Spain.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very good location. Calm place
Cons: Difficult access if you go by car
10.0 Excellent

Pros: The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were cozy and charming. The view was unbelievable! The hotel is very centrally located and you can walk up and down the quaint streets. Beautiful town! Even my teenagers who usually enjoy a more lively night scene were enchanted.
Cons: nothing

Pros: Perfect location in Arcos, with the best view in the old town. Staff was very friendly and helpful with all our requests. Rooms were very clean and overall great value.
Cons: Internet service only available at the lobby, but wireless signal not available in some rooms.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Staff was delightful and very helpful, with a good sense of humor. The property was located in the heart of the old town.
Cons: The property's location made it difficult to find, and parking was problematic, although there was underground parking available about a half mile away.
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff is so friendly, the location is perfect, and the view is spectacular!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We loved this place. We stayed one night of a road trip, & booked a room with terrace - absolutely spectacular views and access to the towns lovely narrow streets for eating - beautiful!
Cons: Very little not to like - maybe the breakfast is a little on the expensive side, but loads of alternatives at the doorstep.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The position of the hotel and the view from the room was very good. Breakfast was good value and the staff were great.
Cons: Although very clean, the bathroom was a little tired and could do with an upgrade, That said, it wouldn't stop me staying there again.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: El Convento is right on the edge of the cliff to which the historic center of Arcos clings. Our room had a small but lovely balcony with an astounding panoramic view (it would actually be unsuitable for anyone with a fear of heights). Other rooms below ours had larger tiled terraces. The room was large but the bathroom was one of the biggest I've ever seen. It could be a hotel room all on its own. Beds were comfortable and breakfast, served on a beautiful sun terrace, was good. There's no parking anywhere very close but for 5 Euros you can get a ticket at reception that allows you to park in the spaces outside the Parador until 12 midday the next day.
Cons: Wifi didn't really work at all, even in the lobby. Be warned that driving in Arcos is something of a challenge. Even with a Fiat 500 there wasn't a lot of clearance through some of the streets and you won't find the hotel by driviong around looking for it. We parked a lot lower down and walked up to find it, then moved the car as close as possible afterwards.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: We loved staying at La Casa de Bovedas. It really is incredibly charming and beautiful! The hosts were wonderful and very helpful. They made fantastic recommendations for restaurants and stores to buy the most beautiful ceramics. The breakfast was very good; simple and light but very tasty and there was more than enough. The terrace where we ate breakfast was gorgeous - surrounded by flowers and with a fantastic view of the countryside. the location was great; right in the middle of the old part of town.
Cons: The only problem was the air conditioning which did not work well. Luckily it was cool at night so we opened the windows and were comfortable.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location on top of the hill, take the deluxe room with direct access to a private balcony
Cons: Breakfast average with toasted bread; room sold as 25 square meters rather small and narrow
10.0 Excellent
Pros: La Casa de Bovedas is a lovely place. Right in the old centre of the beautiful village, it's beautifully styled everywhere. Our host was very kind. We could put our bycicles on the inside terrace. He also gave us great advice on where to have dinner. Our room was really nice and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was nice with fresh orange juice, good coffee, bread, fresh fruit and tasteful marmelades. We definitely recommend this b&b.
Cons: Our room on the street was a little bit noisy in the early morning.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We enjoyed every minute of our stay in Arcos de la Frontera. As the name indicates, La Casa de Bovidas was absolutely charming with spectacular courtyards, common areas, and views. Our hosts could not have been any nicer or more helpful, and their restaurant recommendations were excellent. (In fact, some of the best food we ate in Spain was on the friendly, narrow roads of Arcos.) The afternoon breezes kept the room cool, and when it was necessary for A/C, that was comfortable, too. Taxis are available to transport you up the hill from the parking garage, although it is also walkable if you don't mind the incline! From Arcos we could easily day-trip to Ronda and Seville. We just can't say enough nice things. Hope to return again some day!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Location was stunning and hosts were very helpful and friendly, Really you cannot find better if you are to visit this town.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A very charming place, tastefully decorated in a boho- artsy style. Friendly hosts. Centrally located in the old town. Not suitable for handicapped- If you go by car, park in the town parking and host will send a cab. Too narrow and tortous to risk a car. Otherwise, loved the house and the town.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed 4 nights at la casa de Bovedas. We felt very welcome. The owner is very kind and a great support in finding activities and restaurants in the little town and area. We enjoyed all his recommendations. The place itself is even nicer than you see on pictures. There are so many details hidden you won’t find within a day. Especially the breakfast outside in the garden is something special to remember. It’s definitely worth to stay more than a night. You cannot park at the place, but the owner supports you in either parking at main square (don’t bring a big car) or in the towns parking garage. We would visit again. Thanks for having us!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This charming hotel is set in a perfect location. Central. Gorgeous views. The interior is charming and striking. The owners are warm and helpful. There are fabulous restaurants nearby. We look forward to returning for a long stay. This is a perfect base to explore Cadiz, Ronda, Zahara, and Seville.
Cons: Nothing.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The owners, the charming ambiance, the location, the patio balcony, the view!
Cons: The bed was not very comfortable.

Pros: Really beautiful surroundings and a lovely comfortable room. Nothing was too much trouble, everyone was super friendly and I could come and go as I pleased, which was great because I was attending various parties for a nearby wedding.
Cons: I was not sure about whether there was any food (breakfast/dinner) etc. However, I was not really at the property for any length of time so this was not so bad!

La Casa Grande - Arcos de la Frontera - Bedroom
8
8.9 Excellent (558 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at La Casa Grande in Arcos de la Frontera (Sierra de Cádiz), you'll be steps from Church of San Pedro and Convento de las Mercedarias. Featured amenities include a computer station, multilingual staff, and luggage storage.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: This is my favorite type of hotel - full of character, quirky, close to the best of the town has to offer, yet comfortable, clean and quiet. We had two rooms on the top floor, and had the terrace all to ourselves. The view is great.
Cons: There was nothing I did NOT like, but there are a few things people need to be aware of. There is really no way to drive up to the hotel. Driving in Arcos is an adventure, and, unless you are driving a Smart or something of similar size, you are better off walking, or taking a taxi. No elevator, so, if your age or health is less than optimal, you might need some help hauling your luggage up the staircase. There is a bit of a walk to a grocery store, and the walk is up and down... None of that was a a problem for me, and I'm no spring chicken, but I think some travelers might benefit from knowing. I loved this place, and would come back any time.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Staying and visiting Arcos de la Frontera was a great experience and staying at La Casa de Grande helps us to fully experience this town. The building has a big central courtyard and all the rooms are accesible from this courtyard. We stayed at a room with terrace, there was a bank and also chaise lounges, we had great time while lying down and looking at the scenery. And also staff was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was very delicious. I can recommend everyone to stay La Casa Grande but don't forget to leave your car at the new city center and came this old town with shuttle/taxi because the streets are very narrow and it is very hard to drive/park if you had a big car.
Cons: Because of the building is very historical, the bathroom was very small and is not departed from the room area. It can be better if it can be fully seperated from room area.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We were greeted on arrival with sherry and olives which was a lovely touch. Amazing situation at the top of mountain with breathtaking views from our room. Small room but very attractive decor and presentation. There is a roof terrace where you can relax, sunbathe and watch the birds fly overhead. Continental breakfast was delicious with home made preserves.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Only wish we had been able to stay longer, the view from our room on our private patio was incredible!
Cons: It wasn't a problem because we were prepared, but take the hotel's advice and take a taxi to the top. I would not have wanted to attempt driving ourselves on those narrow streets!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: A hotel with a view, very nice balcony on which to sit in the evening, watch the sunset and enjoy some wine. Great place to stay, very romantic.
Cons: As this is an old building, the sound proof system is not so good. From other side- it gives some charm on staying there.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Casa Grande is more than a hotel...it is a home. I loved the artwork in the room and common rooms. Great view from the terrace especially at dusk. And the candles in the halls at night. Not to mention the wonderful welcome of olives and manzanilla.
Cons: Nothing. Everything was perfect.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The room is gorgeous with high ceilings and thick plaster walls - very old world but well taken care of. The view out the window over the valley is incredible - worth the shortcomings.
Cons: Hot water runs out quickly so have to manage this for two or you run out. No wifi in the rooms only downstairs - the signal downstairs was adequate.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very unique stay in a 1729 building with great location in Arcos near lookoff points and delicious restaurants. Terrace overlooking valley below offers beautiful views and flybys by groups of happy birds.
Cons: I'm sure it's a function of age of building and difficulty to set it up but it would be convenient to have wifi in room (wifi only in reception area). Not a big deal for 2 nights but it is of course nice to have for posting pics, checking email in bed.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Well situated. Cool rooms with aircon Friendly Unpretentious Pretty private terrace with stunning views
Cons: Difficulty getting to public car park . Roads very narrow
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our “junior suite” on the top floor was faultless. Air con kept the room cool despite 35+ outside. Simple and stylish. The description and photos don’t do this place justice. Don’t book if you cannot or will not trundle your suitcases from the main square and then up the beautiful tiled stairs to the bedrooms. It’s hard work but worth it. There are no mod cons and no Wi Fi. The resident staff are so helpful. Easily five stars!

Pros: Wonderful staff, property, breakfast all charming and lovely
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The location was very close to dining, drinking, and historical locations. The hotel had lovely common areas and a very good breakfast. Also, it was easy to park in the private, secured lot.
Cons: No problems
9.5 Excellent
Pros: This is one of the few hotels close to the old town centre with secure parking. I was charged half the car fee for parking my motorcycle which was appreciated (and unusual). The hotel was a very pleasant place to spend time, with very nice and helpful staff. I will return for sure.
Cons: It was at the upper end of my budget when travelling alone, but still good value.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was a perfect location for a 2 night visit to the area and very accessible by car.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was great easily accessible after leaving the highway. Parking next door was 8 euro and well worth it because of limited street parking. Breakfasts were great, plentiful and varied every morning. They were very adaptable for people with different dietary needs. Great restaurant advice also.
Cons: Weak wi-fi at times.
7.5 Good
Pros: Good location Reasonable parking near by. Good breakfasts.
Cons: All good.

Pros: The view is stunning
Cons: Traffic noise
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The location was excellent! The service was excellent!
Cons: The air conditioning went out during the night so it was too warm in the room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was one of our best experiences. The view is superb and memorable. The staff were excellent
Cons: Parking is a nightmare. Don't make the mistake of trying to drive to the hotel. The only way to get here is to drive between narrow buildings. Pull your mirrors in . You'll only have inches on either side. Check with the hotel for the best options.
7.0 Good
Pros: For some reasons, we were given the room number 9, which is the corner room of the first floor, which offers from its huge balcony a 240°+ view, from the old town and San Pedro to the left, then the dramadic cliff, and the green valley going far away to the right. No doubt that, with the room right above us, this room is the best in this Parador. Then those familiar to the Paradores will find pretty much the same amenites as in any other. With the exception of the unique charm of this old palacio. Wifi is excellent wherever we were. Excellent restaurant as usual. Driving up here and driving back is most of the fun. The reception will sell a parking ticket for 6 per day, so you don't have to feed the machine every 2 hours on plaza Cabildo. So all rooms before 9 have right view but be aware that the roof bar looks straight in to these balconies. And all rooms after 9 will have beautifull view on the old town only.
Cons: Never found a kettel in a Parador, why ! So bring your own. No parking, pick a wish on plaza Cabildo, or wait in line till one leaves then go.
7.4 Good
Cons: Parking was problematic. The lot used by the hotel is a public lot. On one of the two evenings we were staying at the hotel the lot was full. The nearest alternate parking location is about 3/4 miles away down the hill.

Cons: Too windy to sit on our balcony!

6.3 Good
Pros: Location is perfect. Housekeeper Mr Jesus was very friendly and helpful, waited for us after his normal work hour for our late check in.
Cons: 1) Bed way too soft (our backs, after 3 nights stay, felt sore for two weeks). 2) No space to unpack luggage. 3) Only one and very tiny trash bin (broken, has to open the lip by hand 4) No towel rack or hangers in the bathroom to put their clothes 5) Smelly after the ventilation fan turned on - seems the drain system not built/designed properly.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is well located, room was clean and quiet which was nice. The receptionist of the hotel is fantastic and we felt home during our stay. The terrace of the hotel is stunning and we highly recommend to enjoy it with a glass of wine, especially by night. Great accomodation and great staff.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very good view at the village.
6.8 Good
Pros: Good location, nice rooftop
Cons: Small rooms, dark (almost no daylight)
7.0 Good
Pros: The location was very good and the breakfast on the terrace also was nice
Cons: The rooms were too dark also a limited bar and breakfast. Also we (and also other guests) believed that there was a jacuzzi on the roof for all guests use but sadly this wasn’t the case. In fact the room that had the jacuzzi was closed!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff. Extremely clean. Location great!
Cons: Room and bathroom were very small.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: great terrace - nicely decorated rooms - friendly staff
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice decor, great terrace for breakfast or drinks. Well-located and in easy walking distance of the historic center.
Cons: Rooms can be a bit dark, as light does not really enter. However, I guess it's called Hotel " de las Cuevas" for a reason!
6.3 Good
Pros: Location was fine, just in the middle of the town. Very expensive. No decent breakfast.
Cons: Our room had nothing to do with the ones shown in the booking website. Very small, located on the rooftop, with crystal door which allowed the heat to come straight inside like in a greenhouse. There were several blackouts during the day. Loud noise coming from the flapping sail mounted in the rooftop.

Cons: Everything is ideal.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved this beautiful old hacienda, the gorgeous gardens and pool and the lovely staff. Our room was perfect. The restaurant was very nice and great food. Will definitely be back!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The restaurant was excellent with tasty and affordable food all day in a lovely setting and well served. The breakfast was nicely served and really good. The staff were pleasant and friendly at all times We had a lovely spacious room with a pleasant view
Cons: We would have prefered a room facing the lake but everything else was ideal.
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing. Total catastrophe.
Cons: Although on photographs, the hacienda looks charming and enticing, everything is small and ill-conceived. On the occasion of our (unannounced) honeymoon, we had the suite, which has no views and is placed directly over the porch, getting all the noise from the reception and kitchen area. The unheated outdoor round swimming pool is a joke, so small that in one movement you're on the other side. The worst was the reception and restaurant service and quality. Miscommunication because of extremely poor English and cooking knowledge, then arrogant and aggressive reaction when we requested the mistaken restaurant order to be corrected. In the process staff insulted us for so-called being impolite, the cook even pretending that we were racist. After a bland and uninteresting avocado salad as a starter, we ended up in our room eating our stock of biscuits (as our main course!) and departing early the next morning, without breakfast - but having to wait for 30 min for the bill to be written, as only the owner (who lives off-site) is entitled to write this - never to return to this dreadful place. One regret: we should have called in the Police to sue the hotel for non-delivery and libel. But who is in the mood of doing so during your honeymoon after a most magnificent wedding ceremony?
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great house, advertised as a B&B but was much nicer than just a house.
Cons: Nothing to dislike
7.5 Good
Pros: Nice room, good location.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: breakfast great but not a great evening selection . very quiet area closest restaurant quite a walk away

10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was great to be able to do laundry. I like staying in the old part of town up on the hill. I liked our own terrace. The AC worked great. It was nice to have a kettle and a small fridge. Nice to have a key and come and go as we pleased. There was plenty of hot water, but be patient when first using it.
Cons: the wifi did not work in the room and was overall a little slow and inconsistent. I prefer my own pillow instead of one long pillow.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The location is great, right in the centre of the historical part of the town. The roof top terrace is fantastic, some fabulous views! We went at Easter be warned about all the festivities which go on right through the night. Otherwise this would have been a very peaceful place to sleep! The owners are lovely, telling us where to eat in the town. No parking but the owners gave us a letter to show when we picked up the car to get a discount. For 2 days we paid 20 euros.
Cons: The bed was a little hard.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location, with a great view from the rooftop terrace. We came for a flamenco festival in a nearby school. An unusual event. Very good service and beautiful rooms at a reasonable price.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The proprietor and his wife were very kind and helpful as well as welcoming
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff, all the history around the area, the local restaurants were excellent, and the hotel was spotless!
Cons: Nothing about the place was bad!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location in the middle of the old City. Back off the street with a central courtyard with thick walls that kept the city sounds out. Hosts are very friendly and helpful. Washing machine in the unit.
Cons: My room was on the ground floor off the courtyard. I had neighbors, who I think are permanent residents, who could be quite loud until late by my standards, after 11, but this is Spain. They also had control of a light in the courtyard that shone directly in my window over the bed and would leave it on late at times. There was no blackout curtain on the window to deal with it. Bathroom was a little small and shower was awkward and would get parts of the bathroom at. WiFi was in public area only.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Rincon dear Nieves is a very old traditional three storey Spanish house in a fabulous hilltop location in the centre of Arcos de la Frontera. The owners are charming and very welcoming.
Cons: The room could do with a little t.l.c.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our room was charming. It was sunny yellow with tasteful decorations and very clean. We had our own tiny terrace which was ideal for a picnic except for the bees which were annoying but not aggressive. There were other options such as the roof top and the inner courtyard. In the room there were a small electric kettle to heat water with 2 cups with teas and sugar, and a tiny refrigerator that went under the bathroom sink. We were happy to arrive at this tiny inn. The owners were so helpful and kind.
Cons: Nothing it was great!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is placed in the authentic ancient house. Huge terrace with a breathtaking view over the neighborhood. A perfect place to stay for a day in this cozy town. the hotel owner is very friendly. we've enjoyed our stay and hope to come back
Cons: nothing

Pros: The owner and her son were extremely welcoming and friendly. Very peaceful and quiet especially as we were there during Semana Santa Easter celebrations! Perfect location at the top of the old town.

Cons: Shower head very loose although powerful and constant water.
4.3 Okay
Cons: We had two evening meals first was steak and was raw sent it back to be cooked more and it was still raw. Next as a burger and that was completely raw in tge middle. Breakfast was toast that wasn't done. I think the chef is afraid of fire.. Very poor service.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice reasonably clean place. Has a swimming pool and a restuarant attached to the property.
Cons: You will need a car to get here from Arcos. Some vegetarian options on the menu would have been appreciated.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Staff are friendly and welcoming. Room is spotless and a good size. Hairdryer and ironing facilities in the room if needed. Pool was open with a lifeguard on duty, grounds were lovely. We ate at the restaurant that night and service was brilliant and very quick, staff was very friendly and food delicious. We definitely recommend the hotel. Keep in mind you really need a car to get into the town centre, although there is a cycle lane from outside the hotel that leads straight to town. It is a nice walk and there are bars and restaurants on the way.
Cons: There was no parking immediately in the hotel grounds on arrival, but this was due to their being an event at the hotel. There was plenty of space just outside, so not a problem at all. We were able to move the car to the gated car park later that evening.
7.5 Good
Pros: A traditional quite simple but comfortable hotel with pool & fantastic views of the old town a few miles away.
Cons: Only set back was we arrived for just one night on a Sunday hoping to eat in the restaurant that night looking out to the old town, but it was closed Sunday evening having been heaving when we arrived for Sunday lunch plus a wedding party group. The food looked wonderful, but alas couldn't try it !

Pros: The landscape is amazing, the view of the countryside is a dream, good for relaxation, living the city stress behind.
Cons: Of anything, the furniture is old and a bit tatty, but the house we rested was practically equipped, with air con and everything we needed. May be the 200 metres walk for the house to the main building might bother some, not us, if was part of the experience , a nice walk.

Located in Sierra de Cádiz, this guesthouse is steps from Plaza del Cabildo, Basílica de Santa María, and Castle of Arcos de la Frontera. Convento de las Mercedarias and Church of San Pedro are also within 5 minutes.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: People are so nice and kind, they will help you with everything you need. I loved everything about Pension San Marcos, it is also very convenient to have a restaurant just next to the hostel, food is very good and cheap there!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean, excellent hot water in the shower, ideal location.
7.0 Good
Pros: very helpful and friendly staff
Cons: noisy water pump below room - take ear plugs!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Arcos de la Frontera is a gorgeous "white town" in Andalusia. Pensión San Marcos is an inexpensive place, comfortable, very cozzi room, clean and full of light. I will recommend it for those who want experience the Spanish flavour of a town. If you fall slept easy is OK, because the street is kind of noisy and the bells of the churches chim until 12.00 ... Personnel are very kind and helpful. Because parking is challenging, José acted as valet parking in the square nearby. We love the place and we rae ready to return.
Cons: Noise street.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very central rooms above a bar and ridiculously cheap. Clean with air conditioning and even a basic Breakfast included
Cons: The noise! The bar didn’t close until 2.30am this morning and until then, sleep was impossible. It might be better midweek. Also, try to avoid driving up as the streets are SO narrow. If you must, set the navigator for Plaza del Cabildo where there is paid parking, rather than the Pension.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great value for money in excellent location
Cons: Shower leaked on the floor
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location, nice roof terrace, clean, wonderful food available in restaurant.
Cons: Room was a bit small. Streets are extremely narrow so outdoor dining was interesting.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Incredible location, right in the villages centre, I was pleasantly surprised of the authenticity of this place - very true andalusian vibe, with terasse upstairs, where you see the crossing of two main narrow streets. I am so glad I experiended this slow and laid back life of a small andalusian village
Cons: Nothing! Just watch your head when going through the terrasse doors upstairs :D its really low!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Value for money. Great location, friendly staff. Had dinner there too and was very tasty!
Cons: Room above the bar but wasn't noisy.
7.5 Good
Pros: The younger guys in the restaurant were very nice to me and helped me carry my luggage up and down the stairs during check in and check out. Breakfast was very good.
Cons: I did not know that because it was semana santa there was partying and drums playing until midnight right below my window, and I couldn't sleep even with earplugs.

7.0 Good
Pros: discounted price adequate to the room, quite.
Cons: renovated room shown on the website/app was not available. Smell of smoke in the room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We've been travelling in Spain for over 2 months, staying in hostels, hotels and motels in this sort of price range, Hostal Malaga has been THE BEST. The room was big, bright and recently refurbished, plenty room for an additional bed, sofa and table. The bathroom was big with lots of hot water, and unusually, lots of space to put toiletries, and solid shelves in the shower itself. The Wifi was consistently good. We had use of a fridge. There are several open areas to sit, and had the weather been better we might have sat on the roof terrace. We easily parked on the service road by the shops, and surrounding streets also had free parking. (Driving in the old town would not be recommended, even if you knew where you were going, very narrow and cobbled). The location is good, we like walking, so the short walk into the old town was good. There are several bars and cafes close, and an excellent Chinese Bazaar shop which stocks everything! A short walk away there are supermarkets, and several fruit and veg shops on the walk into town. A great base from which to explore the 'pueblos blancos', and the Sierra de Grazalema. And some beautiful undulating countryside to ride through, and the Embalsas to visit. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it.
Cons: Struggling to find anything we didn't like!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great place with a ridiculous Price (20€ single room), and my room was fully reburbished.
Cons: The pillow and the bed could be better

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice clean room. Bathroom. Roof terrace with great view.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Quaint house with a roof top able to watch fire works and the town. Some tiled walls make this house beautiful.
Cons: The manager needs to update with means of using a computer for registration, able to collect rentals in means other than cash and be aware of broken down air conditioner that affect the comfort of the traveler.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The lady at reception was super kind, the rooftop terrace was also nice
Cons: Bed very small
9.3 Excellent
Pros: We were not expecting much but we were surprised in a good way. The 3 bedroom and the private bathroom was renovated with style and comfort. The room was cleaned. Nice patio and if you go up the stairs a nice view, especially at sunset.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The room was spacious, nicely renovated and clean. The location is not near the old town but the room at EUR 45 for 3 persons was very good value.
