Excellent location. Great facilities/family orientated. Very helpful staff. Could book local excursions at the hotel. I would recommend using their pack lunch facility - excellent value for money. Room simple but comfortable. Very good restaurant and buffet breakfast. Charged at half-board rate so excellent value for money. Would highly recommend this hotel.
The location is spectacular. The pool is excellent. The food is good. The room is clean and reasonably comfortable.
excellent hotel, near gavarnie and cauterets for relaxing
The location, only a 10min drive from a nice village. Great scenery and views. Hotel room maybe a little dated however it was exceptionally clean and comfortable, especially after 3 nights in mountain huts!
The location of the hotel was great for us as we wanted to see places around. The room was clean, found the staff to be helpful. Expect a basic buffet breakfast, but you get everything you need and as much as you need to start your day. A calm, quiet place... Nothing to dislike. Didn't use the pool or the sauna so couldn't say anything about it.
only criticisim is that the hotel reception closes at 8pm.
Peaceful area, friendly staff, nice breakfast.
Friendly receptionist. Good facilities, wifi internet service good. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good, fair selection. Good location to the Le Grotte (main purpose of our visit). Overall hotel was good value, will recommend to others and will return. v. good in room internet service (but time limited), not a major problem though provided that the receptionist was available.
Lourdes was quiet at our time of visiting. Enjoyed a great drive up. To Pontiac d'Espangne. The staff were helpful and it was good to have a refrigerator in the room.
The staff were very friendly and helpful The room smelt of cigarette obiously somebody smoked in there as we are none smokers that bothered us very much we should have been told. the pillows were the french ones which were uncomfortable
The staffs were very friendly and accomodating. In fact the sales manager could speak 11 different languages... definitely a great asset to the hotel and trememdous comfort to overseas guests.
The staff were so helpful and it was such value for money and the rooms were great. Nothing to say was great
Staff were very courteous and helpful! Bathroom was not cleaned as well.
Hotel Paradis was an eminently practical hotel. Rooms and toilets were spacious, and i particularly liked the fact that the toilet and the shower were separated. Showers are positioned such that they do not make a mess, and the towels and beds were very clean. Airconditioning was definitely a plus even though Lourdes was cold when I was there. The design of the room looks like the hostel I stayed in in Australia - very dull and drab. Though for 60 euros, I can't really complain. :)
Location was good, staff were helpful, Hotel was very clean & comfortable
excellent hotel. staff very courteous and helpful, hotel room spacious and comfortable and within walking distance of the sanctuary. Breakfast included in price .
The hotel staff were exceptional
The most prominent feature is the friendliness of the staff and the facilities provided by the hotel are very professional and excellent. There were no amenities like tea, coffee and fridge in the room.
The hospitality of the front desk staff was excellent, very friendly and helpful. Everything about the hotel was good; I have no complaints.
The staff are very friendly and very experience as well. breakfast was very good. no comment
I was first introduced to this hotel by Mancunia and since then have stayed in this hotel several times in the past years. I have always felt welcomed by the staff both at the reception desk and also in the restaurant and have found that their service is very good.. The food is very good value for money. I was also very happy to see that the bathroom had been refurbished and the rooms were very comfortable.
the staff were excellent Pushing a wheelchair & because of the location ie. Lourdes attention could be given to immediate wheelchair access into the hotel entrances ! and maybe if they have influence the general access infrastructure of the town !
It was a lovely room and very good bathroom too. Also the restaurant was excellent - very recommended. The rooms with the nosiy keys next door woke us at at 6.00am. All the rooms and staircases are very noisy so do not expect a restful nights!
The Hotel was very nice in a peacefull setting. Ideal for visiting the surrounding areas especially the mountains. The prompt service was very good definitly a place to stay if visiting the area again.
Friendliness of proprietor, decor of reception rooms and the bedroom we stayed in (No 4).Parking facilities and swimming pool Jacuzzi (though we did not use the latter) The only thing we would criticise is the poor level of soundproofing between rooms, ie we could hear people above us walking around, toilets flushing and water running etc.
Good location Too few parking place
Very kind reception by the owner. We would appreciate a good shower, rather than a bath.
The lady Manager/owner was charming and very helpful In the main hotel the walls are thin and our room was noisy - people talking, walking up and down stairs and plumbing noises. However when I complained we were moved to an apartment which was perfectly quiet.
Delightful, 'typically French', establishment. Charming owner. Room spotless and well equipt. Felt slightly small as one had to avoid the sloping roof. Excellent breakfast. Swimming pool is a bonus and the location is just superb with it's wondereful views in every direction, Easy walk to the small town for evening meals.
A very friendly atmosphere. We could not speak a lot of french but we were understood by the staff.Everyone was very helpful.
The swimming pool and jacuzzi looked nice - shame I didn't get to use them, but a welcome idea. Owner was very helpful, lovely rooms, even nice range of tv channels. I liked also the ice creams and drinks you could buy, though I didn't realise there is a giant carrefour just round the corner too(!) I walked all the way to Netto. You're in the suburbs of Argeles here - to get to the old town centre, its a long walk, through uninteresting regency-style residential area. But it's quiet and views are lovely from the rooms, so it's not not a big loss. Make sure you get a room with a balcony, it's so worth it.
it was a Logis de France, the ownner and staf were very friendly. we will go back.
Location was excellent It was all ok except Internet available only on the hall
We enjoyed the closeness to the Lourdes Sanctuary. There were two very loud parties on two nights of our stay. We were on the 4th floor and were kept awake. When we asked for the music to be turned down they replied no until I went downstairs and yelled at them. Also, the pool was shut down for 2 days which is why we chose the hotel.
Our rooms did not have suitable walk in showers as stated and then we were moved to a two level room with a difficult stair access, where the shower on the upper level had only cold water on two of the mornings. Also on the Sunday evening our table in the restaurant although booked in advance was not available and we had to sit by the side of the through-way which was very noisy and the manager did move out table after our first course but we were not served the food we ordered after 45 minutes and had to leave before desert as the restaurant so so full and having problems dealing with the numbers.
Nothing, even the breakfast ,which we had to pay in advance was very poor . Far to expensive for what you get plus the wrong info from Booking.com
fabulous view of the river and suroundings entrance & exit of parking
Proximity to Lourdes Domain It was very noisy late at night with pilgrims in bar till 3am. My mother & I couldn't sleep.
The location, definitely. The grotto is literally 3 minutes away. Comfortable, if sparsely furnished, rooms.
Spacious comfortable room, beautiful view from balcony, very grand reception area, spotlessly clean, helpful reception staff who spoke perfect english.
Staff were very friendly and helpful, hotel was very clean and comfortable
hotel in good condition and easy to find.Well located.Spacious room. difficult to communicate with reception because nobody could speak english
It was a very friendly hotel with good food and was close to a number of ski resorts
we really enjoyed our stay at this hotel great value for money, beautiful location.
Noise from school party was compensated for by reduction in our room rate without need to ask.
A nice quite and relaxing place to gather your thoughts while on pilgrimage. nil.
The staff were very very friendly, helpful, polite and efficient. Right from the check-in, we felt the warm welcome. There was also this one particular lady at the restaurant who, despite the demands of so many guests, always managed to bring just what you asked for - with a smile.
everything was excellent
Excellent staff, flat location, lovely breakfast Slightly dated decor but pleasant overall.
staff very friendly
Very central Breakfast could be better, with some cooked hot food.
I loved its contemporary design and deco. From the hotel lobby right down to the room. I requested for a room on the highest floor and with a great view and they gave us a great room with a truly beautiful view of the mountains...even from the bathroom! The hotel staff were friendly and helpful and wonderful to chat with.
It's location. Some of the staff very helpful
The room was serviced regularly and the reception staff were helpful. The continental breakfast is rather basic. They only serve one croissant and a hard bread roll. Some tables were given biscuits some were not. When I asked one of the staff if I could have my croissant toasted because it was such a cold morning I was told that they do not do that, no oven or toaster.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them, all spoke english, and they went out out their way to help us.
staff were very friendly and helpful. the view of the city from the hotel is beautiful. hotel has outdoor pool and areas to relax (indoor and outdoor), which oversee the city not much sound proofing, which made it very noisy. the plumbing is very noisy and kept us awake
Room was spacious and comfortable. Location was perfect. Near to everything.
Good Location The breakfast was very poor
Nice clean hotel, friendly staff and a fantastic restaurant.
Very good experience, staff very friendly, dining excellent. Would definitely go back.
We only regretted the restaurant was not opened during our stay (weekly day of closure)
i did not like noise
I believe the Chef is a decent cook and tries to be helpful but the wife is a pain and should be in some other line of work.
The owner was a really nice helpful guy,the rooms were a bit small ,we had a triple, still nice and clean and for the money I cant complain,We cycled up the aubisque and when we returned we got in the jacuzzi in the rear garden which was brill, would definately recommend, great value for money.
Excellent meal in the restaurant with friendly and helpful staff. Location was excellent very pretty village.
Good location. Arrived later than expected and the owner waited up for us. Was very pleasant and opened the bar for us so that we could have a drink. Fantastic breakfast the following morning. Rooms basic but comfortable and clean. Nice, cosy lounge area with fire, TV and plenty of books and magazines.
Staff is very helping and kind. I reached the hotel at 23.45hrs and they were very considerate.
Location is very good, room is super small. The breakfast is very limited choices.
Good location No parking, room cleaning service too early- 8 am.
the close distance from the sanctuary the hotel has too many noices... and too many people from contingents that make me feel that they were the owner of the hotel... people was not friendly
Nothing, place needs a refurbisment. Internet pictures lie,as we were lone travellers I beleieve that is why we ended up in the annex and not the main hotel. It was a fight each morning to get breakfast as we were not part of a group and they didn't want to know us.The doors to the breakfast room were slammed closed just before 9 am finish time to stop us going in for breakfast. Never will stay in a vinuales hotel again. Value for money, see what you get in a Hi Express hotel for less.
Very friendly and helpful staff. So close to the Grotto.
Proximity to the Basilica of Immaculate Conception/Grotto and shopping. Lack of amenities and hotel scent.
room is newly renovated and well equipped (with hair dryer). staff is very helpful
The location to Lourdes, very central. The people who worked there were nice. rooms were extremely out of date, not value for money! I think if i was in the newer part of the hotel it would have been ok. Cheap covers on the bed, dated wallpaper, orange carpet on the walls. Clean, but definitely 30 years since last changed. The cleaners knocked at 7.30am! I stayed in Lourdes last year in Mariale and this was only 53 euro a night for a brand new studio with kitchen
The hotel is just 10 minutes walk to the Grotto.
Great location for first time tourist to the Lourdes Grotto
locality and staff
The place was pretty, the rooms were clean and the hotel food was exceptional! Everything was just as expected!
The location to the Lourdes Sanctuary was excellent. Close to the gates. Many pilgramage groups and tour buses but we didn't feel it was crowded. The front desk was very helpful and attentive in answering questions and helping us with a security box. The hotel was clean and well maintained. The bathrooms are large and updated. The linens were a little worn and there were no shampoos or soaps in the bathrooms so it was a good thing we brought some. All in all it was a good stay for the short two nights. The restaurant was fair. The breakfast was not worth the 8Euro that was charged. The breakfast consisted of coffee from a push button machine, one type of cheese, one type of cold cut, dry breads, canned fruit salad and milk, tea, juice. One part of the dining room was set up for groups and the other end of the room for others. The service differed on each side. The group reservation side received cloth napkins and servers to attend them. On the side I was on with my family we had to get our napkins at the service table and they were only paper and no one attended to us at all.
