The location was convenient to the station and inner city. The restaurant offered good meals at resonable prices and the breakfast buffet was well presented and offered a good variety. Service was friendly and efficient. I missed a small fridge in the room as well as a tea tray and kettle.
very nice breakfast buffet bed too soft, too hot to be may
Central location near railway station. Staff polite. Good buffet breakfast - wide variety and good quality. Hotel in shabby condition. Compares unvafourably with other 4* hotels. No better than 3 stars at best. Single rooms very small. Like stying in student hostel. First room strong smell of smoke despite being non-smoking. Second room acceptable for smoke smell. Same small size. Very small single bed which dipped in middle and very soft. Fabric of hotel showed signs of overdue refurbishment. Stains on walls, missing pictures with hooks still on walls, numerous tears in wallpaper and bashes and scrapes on walls and door frames.
Accurate staff at reception. Excellent breakfast. Good bed.
Location was perfect Second time in Haarhuis and second time when our windows were extremely wet. Aircondition was on all night but didn´t help. Makes air in the room bad
Excellent staff - very helpful and friendly
convenince in distance to the station it was dated , the walls were dirty
Close location to local town Undergoing refurbishment. Generally the hotel looked 'very tired'. Hotel lift was ancient,
The staff were excellent It was too short!
The service was great and the hotel staff really paid attention to the details. The taxi arrangement was slower than I expected but was manageable.
I did not like the layout of my room with the shower in the centre of the room between the toilet and the hand basin? The room was very cold and the temperature controller appeared to be preset at a setting which meant it was uncomfortable to sit and work. No minibar? insufficient desk lighting to work. For the cost, I do not think it was good value for money.
low price for a hotel of its kind nice bar breakfast not so good
It was easy to access. Plenty of parking space. Nice restaurant and food. Room was comfortable. Staff were helpful and friendly.
the breakfast and the price
Very good breakfast buffet. My children loved the free internet access and playstation! Although we requested a non-smoking room, there was still a lingering smell of smoke in our room. The children's room was fine though.
Good service on some extra help we needed bij Mr. Marijn
We came to visit the Airborne Museum and Cemetery at Oosterbeek and were pleased that we chose this hotel rather than stay in Arnhem. The location was good, rooms bright and fresh with comfortable beds. The staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast was excellent! The restaurant menu was expensive but 1015 mins walk takes you to alternatives. We were only staying 1 night and did not have time to use the facilities available - we will stay longer next time!
Very friendly staff, good bed, good shower, good restaurant, good breakfast, easy parking, All in all excellent, the only monir detail: no hairdryer in the room.
Clean room, very good food, perfect localisation.
Easy to find. Friendly staff. Would stay again.
Great views over the Rhine. Good breakfast - although not included in the price. Rooms were very clean and modern Two separate beds joined to form a double bed. Prefer a double bed. Hotel is a 10 min walk into the centre of town
The river view A good walk from the town though there were bus stops close by.
The friendliness of the staff. Excellent food and very comfortable rooms.Breakfast very good value for money. Good location.
The Rijnview from the room was beautiful.
Location on the river Rhine. Double bed was actually 2 single beds pushed together.
The views from our room and the comfort of the room. Room service for coffee, a little slow.
Situated within walking distance of town centre Room smelt damp and fixtures were broken
Nice view of the river
The beautiful view A terrible noise from the terrasse until 00.30, impossible to sleep. The hotel must turn down the ligt at 23.00 to give peace to sleep. For that reason we will never stay there again!!!
Needs better lighting in room, especially a reading light
firendly personel, good service, access to hotel was excellent, food was good but as always could be improved
Very nice and comfortable facility
In general the rooms were comfortable, staff friendly, wi-fi connection was good 1. The scrolled eggs for breakfast were the worst eggs I eve had - too hard and dry, 2. there were no comb at the reception, 3. there were no minibar, 4. the bed - instead of 1 big matrass on the bed there were 2 small ones (I hate it) - when I asked to change the room for the room with big bed (without overpaying)- they refused, just offered almost twice more expensive room.
Friendliness of staff especially when organising a minicoach to take our group into Arnhem for the evening. I thought the beds were a little uncomfortable
peace and quite, good setting hire of bicycles a little expensive
Good quiet location, good breakfast
Location was convenient to national park. Parking available. Pet friendly. Food in restaurant was good, but dinner menu is pricy. Confusing and not very clear on how to find rooms; elevator opens into a conference area. A hotel map near the main elevator would be useful or a sign pointing the direction towards rooms. Billed twice for one room for one night. Hotel was unresponsive in resolving billing error which they acknowledged at checkout. Based upon difficulty and frustration in resolving their billing error, recommend anyone visiting this hotel pay in cash. If a light sleeper, bring earplugs; conversations/noise from hallway is easily heard in rooms.
Very nice hotel and location
the room looked clean, however, the rubbish from the previous user was shoved under the bed! the food in the resturant was horrible.
The room was very nice, clean, and big. I really enjoyed the breakfast buffet. The facilities were very nice.
We liked the location and the interior of the hotel. The staff was very fast and friendly. The hotel room was very cold when we arrived in it so we had to wait for a few hours for it to warm up to get more of a comfortable feeling. We would have preffered to be served the first cup of coffee/ tea at breakfast instead of sorting it all out yourself.
Excellent location and perfect company Hotel and restaurant are rather pretentious, the meal and wine served during dinner did not quite live up to the expectations one would have for a restaurant that is recommended in Lekker. "Champagne breakfast" was served without a glass of bubbles, but with scrambled eggs though. Unfortunately, these eggs looked more like freshly blended baby food - same holds for the tasteless apple pie served with the coffee.
Excellent food and location, plus artwork
The setting was excellent quiet and the grounds were some thing else and the bed very comfortable The breakfast was very eexpensive
The hotel was in a beautiful location, but still convenient to cycle into Arnhem. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and despite having opened 4 days earlier, the operation seemed to run efficiently and very smoothly. The price! We thought it was very expensive.
a fantastic location in the woods, great for walking, very friendly service and very comfortable rooms, love to come back a coffee/thee corner in the room would make everything perfect
Just 1 night sleep; the bed slept very well and breakfast was great.
Quiet hotel with friendly staff. The room was spotlessly clean. The location-good for the open air museum which we had planned to visit, but ran out of time. Went to the Airborne Museum that was nearby. Breakfast was great- our waitress very friendly There were steps that are tall and winding, but this is not unusual for Holland. We just carried what we needed for the night upstairs. They did mention the stairs online so we were prepared for some stairs.
The staff was spectacular! Our suite, #21, was beautifully decorated and very comfortable even though it was literally a loft (bed and TV above bathroom, sitting area, and 'balcony.' The restaurants in the immediate area were excellent and stay open late. When checking in, be absolutely sure to go and see your room in person before you take your luggage up. This is a boutique hotel; every room is completely different. One of our party had trouble sleeping due to QR code wallpaper. Another room had bugs.
Very friendly service and attention by the hotel staff. Good loungemusic inlcuding the candles. Room having a very nice balcony. no place the store the bicycles safely but I had a full prooof chain in my luggage. Just something to be prepared for.
the hotel is beautiful, it is near a wonderful walking park it is a bit noisy, near the bus line and women who serve the breakfast are very grumpy
A quite charming period hotel with very comfortable rooms and handily placed for the city centre
the excellent service and friendlyness of staff. The beautiful buildig and rooms, the very nice breakfast. no
Excellent breakfast, nice decor, good view and enjoyable. Bedding too much for late summer.
It is a fabulous, totally charming place. While just around corner from train station it is in a very pleasant quiet locale. Nothing.
The staff was very friendly, the room was beautifull, and it was a fantastic visit.
Balcony was nice; bed very comfortable; breakfast nice; staff accomadating staying up until 10pm for my late arrival. There was no floor service at breakfast which would've been very welcome, especially at the price of €125+ per night!
Romm 7..the balcony and the view. Breakfast was very fresh, and excellent
Lianne, the receptionist, was most helpful with her assistance in translating my placard message into Dutch. The restaurant staff were equally solicitous at breakfast time and whenever I ordered a cup of tea or coffee. And when I forgot to pay for my tea once, they did not chase me for it, even though I didn´t remember to pay till about six hours later.
Excellent food great service friendly staff Shower head in bathroom 208 wouldn't stay still!
Service about how to go and come back from Gelredrome(Rieu)//good parking
Very friendly & helpful staff. Clean and pleasant rooms. Open and airy reception and dining area.
although a late arrival and with no reservation we were accommodated in the hotel restaurant were we experienced excellent cuisine
The tranquility of the location No coffee making facility in rooms No hair-dryer in bathroom
Excellent value for money, friendly and efficient staff, excellent food, good location
Very nice and helpful hotel staff, close to highway, but quiet and with directly enter beautiful forest.
This was our third visit to this hotel, and we enjoyed it as much as ever. Enormous, comfortable bed, very welcoming and helpful staff and a super breakfast. The lounge areas are particularly inviting, well used and with a good evening atmosphere, where you can buy affordable food on the lounge menu if you want to avoid the higher priced restaurant. Perfectly located hotel for Oosterbeek and Arnhem, with a bus stop right outside. We hired bikes also, for 12 euros a day. We will definitely come again. There was a problem with the hot water one morning, but every guest was given complimentary bottles of wine and sparkling water as an apology. The water in the pool wasn't warm enough for us.
Excellent. Very nice hotel. Worth the stay.
reception staff were very helpful as were the restaurant staff. The setting in which the local is situate is very nice. food in restaurants was expensive
Good value for money; feels like premium hotel for average price
I came to The Netherlands to visit family. The day I arrived my sister-in-law and I spent many hours in your lounge. We ate lunch, had tea had drinks and snacks. Later my other sister-in-law joined us and then my son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter. It was very relaxing. It would have been easier if my room had been closer to my son's.
situation, peaceful, excellent breakfast
Standard 3 star hotel in nice location. Kind staff. no
It is well-equipped, in a lovely part of the country, ideal location for exploring the countryside. Convenient for me to visit friends locally. Staff attentive and efficient. None
The hotel is excellently situated for visiting the Oosterbeek battlefield areas of September 1944 (The Airborne Museum 'Hartenstein' is only a 10 - 15 minutes walk away). Although the Arnhem bridge is considerably further from the hotel bicycles and taxis are readily available from the hotel reception. Throughout our stay the staff could not be more polite and helpful. The rooms we very clean and of a good size (no tea/coffee facilities!) and I can recommend the buffet style breakfast, a real 'challenge' for those with big appetites!! I would definitely stay there again and would recommend the hotel to anyone thinking of visiting this historic area of Holland.
staff were helpful and the hotel was very central. The room and bathroom were very clean and up to date. Access to the hotel by car was not easy, a little advice before arrival would have been helpful
This hotel was perfect for anyone who wanted a nice hotel, centrally located and within walking distance of the train, bus, shopping and restaurants. Staff was very nice. Would stay again.
Nice, clean (basic) room. The breakfast was a bit poor on choice of toppings/ eggs.
good location no tea / coffee making facilities in room
Location, big and and a clean room (104), restaurant at the hotel, friendly personnel. The room was a little bit cold but the beds/blankets were warm... :)
Well-equipped room, central location, inclusive broadband internet. Dinner in restaurant. Asked if I could have one dish, but was only offered buffet. No menu was offered. Had only starter from buffet, but hotel tried to charge for full meal. Restaurant should offer clearer pricing and product range to travelling guests, who may have come a long distance and do not want a full Greek buffet.
There wer six of us and the manin reason was to visit the Hartenstein in Oosterbeeek. This hotel was perfectly situated near the train staiton and main bus station. Ideal for shops and bars. Perfectly clean good staff we only experienced the breakfast whic was very good though if i was being picky slightly they were slow to replenish the hot food but trust me that was only a minor gripe. All of us said the we would have no hesitation booking this hotel again. no
Bathroom very clean and good standard of equipment Room very small single despite my having booked a twin room ( because that was the only room that was available at the time of booking ). Still charged for a twin room. Receptionist on departure spoke only Turkish, German and Dutch. No English. Would not return.
The hotel is easily located from Arnhem train station and can be reached in a minute's walk. It is located above a greek restaurant with the main reception accessed through the restaurant entrance. The room was modern and clean with spacious twin beds and good shower / bath facilities with a monsoon shower. You can also access the main shopping and tourist district within a minutes walk. The tourist information office is on the same street. We were required to pay on checking into the hotel but could not be provided with a receipt until the main receptionist started work. Though a fridge was provided in the room, no other drinks facilities were available E.G., kettle, tea, coffee, or minibar. I recommend you walk to the station to buy these before returning to the hotel as we were charged eur5.00 For two cups of tea even though the menu said they cost eur1.85 Each.
central clean room personally needs dedicated shower parking not close enough
Very new, clean, modern, pleasant hotel--suite with 2 bedrooms had nice balcony & view--for four people it was a super deal! Pool was rather small.
Near highway, good parking, spacey room Whirlpool didn't work. Bad (for make up) lighting above mirror in bathroom. Lift entrance wasn't clearly marked/noticeable (ground floor0.)
Lovely large family room and large bathroom. The connecting room for the kids was perfect! Very new and spacious hotel (open dec 2009). Good bar and good breakfast. The 3 room service that stood in the lobby looked completely out of place and some staff members need more service training and "smile" training
Relatively new hotel. Nice large open reception and generous sized rooms. Beautiful restaurant and plenty of attentive staff.
We found our family room very spacious, comfortable and clean and were very happy to have such a lovely room. The swimming pool was wonderful too. We will certainly be coming again.
I found the room spacious and extremely comfortable. The staff, on the whole, were excellent.
A really good hotel in a nice quiet location amongst woodlands, very large and comfortable bedroom
Access to 2nd war sites
The location, and the facilities available to enjoy the location. Nothing
the reception was friendly and good organised, the room was nice, the breakfast very good, price OK We are very satisfied also about thesite of booking.com
quiet location in the forest.nice swimming pool
A lovely relaxing stay in beautiful surroundings. Nice walks and very close to Oosterbeek.
very nice surrounding we came in the dark and it was not easy to find it.
This is a perfect place to have a relaxing weekend. Good location in the forest; good facilities (small swimming pool and sauna) and large selection in the breakfast buffet.
The food wasn't too good (almost cold upon arrival) and too expensive
Beautiful location. Very comfortable accommodation
Very good service at a good price + neighborhood of the Veluwe nature. Spacy room.
walking out of the hotel you will walk into a beautifull forest bathroom with fungus bad maintenance,as guest you will feel more welcome with your dog when there is a breakfasttable ready for you in the bar instead of hearing that you are not welcome in the normal breakfastarea(we do understand);parents with children parked them in the bar while we were having breakfast no intervention from hotelstaff.
great stay - excellent buffet breakfast - would rush back there! Lack of parking close to room
The great care of the staff
Breakfast is good, not too much choise, just enough. Swimmingpool inside and outside (both not really big). Bar in hotel. The best thing is, that this hotel is not really a hotel, the rooms are located in seperate "houses" which are standing in the middle of the forest. If you are on the terrace, you are sitting in the forest (bunnies hopping in front of the terrace). This is more like a small vacation park. Luxury and class have faded away in this hotel. The bathroom was good sized, but it was really simple (not wat you would think of a golden tulip hotel). Even in the hotel itself (doors needed a paintjob or other updating). The room was nicely sized, but also here the walls could use some work. Housekeeping didn't mind spider webs. Could find them all over the place.
The hotel is situated in the middle of a forrest, ideal for making walks or trips on bicycles. It's not a standard hotel but you sleep in seperate buildings, like smaller houses with terraces for example. Very friendly atmosphere!
I was attending a party in Hoenderloo and it was close by No Coffee and Tea making facilities in room. When asking about it got tea and coffee sent to room in thermosflasks. Coffee was stone cold
Many facilities, like bowling, swimmingpool, restaurant etc. Breakfast was very good as well, really enjoyed that. Nice location in the middle of the forest. Feels like being away. Rooms weren't cleaned in between. We stayed three nights and after the first night, they didn't even bother vacuuming, replacing cups etc. The only thing they did was: they made the bed...but they didn;t replace the sheets...
Quiet, Rest If you know a room is rented, put some heating on. Room was icecold
Breakfast in beautiful sunroom. There was something for every taste - children enjoyed it. Good service. A bit tricky to find. Hotel did not seem to have allocated parking spaces.
the way I was received. The staff was very helpful That the lift system didn't work in the early morning parking availability
Owner and staff where helpful and welcoming, rooms though small are well appointed though the location was pleasant it was spoilt by the railway at the rearof the dependance The dependance is approximately 600 meters from the Old Dutch hotel, breakfast on w/days was taken in the main hotel but on w/ends was in the dependance. The distance though not far for people with disabilitys was an inconvenience
Staff very friendly The room was too small. Lift switcehd off and if I was not able to climb stairs at night I would have experienced a lot of difficulty
Convenient, friendly staff, quaint, breakfast very good!
The staff are very friendly and helpful, good selection for breakfast and very clean room, impressed There is a railway line directly behind the annexe hotel I stayed in but it wasnt a problem, I slept undisturbed
Friendly staff. Very helpful when we needed to change arrangements. Good bar on ground floor with friendly staff.
Very good location close to train station and town centre
The large grounds containing lake, woods, tennis courts, etc. Reception welcome could have been a little warmer.
Friendly staff, good food. Location to local events. Very quiet. Smoking within the hotel.
great location, nice swimming pool, good restaurant
Hotel location is fine. The hotel is located near to highway and several attraction sites We ordered a family room but our room was very small. It was no place to move when sofa was opened. A minibar was dirty and stinking with old mouldy food. A replacement room was not offered and it took more then an hour for hotel staff to clean the minibar. No electrical kettle in the room. This is improper for 4* hotel.
Very good food and comfortable accomodation.
Very quiet surroundings. The room was rather small. No tea or coffee facilities at your room.
Location. Easy access. A litle less smoke (tobacco) would be preferable in the bar-region.
The hotel was ideally located for what we wanted to see in the area. The place was a building site! The email confirmation I received on booking the hotel stated that the works would be finished in July 2010 so we would not be affected. There were wires coming out of the walls, dust, dirt, wires crossing walkways and, with elderly parents with us, we kept reminding them and our children to watch where they were walking. I'm sure it is going to look very nice but the place was a mess for our stay.
The oustide of the hotel. The pool, garden. Room was durty, the carpet was not vacuum. I stayed 2 nights, and the cleaning of the room was: they made my bed. The TV had no remote control, and when I ask the reception for one, they told me they were aware of the problem but they couldn't solve it.
Very good hotel with many facilities. Breakfast delicious and personnal very kind! Nice place to walk or just take rest. Sure, we will come back!
Very good restaurant
It was nice and quiet, set in a nice place. For the purpose of this trip it was to far from my daily destination. It wasn't convenient from the train station as we had no other means of transportation other than walking.
Excellent surroundings, staff and comfort. Would like to be able to see news programmes eg bbc World or Sky,or at the least cnn in English.
Quiet pleasant country location and surrounding nature park. The outdoor dining and relaxing areas with possibility of bicycle rental add enjoyment to the stay. Liked everything to a greater or lesser degree.
The surrounding of the hotel The room has no mini-bar, no water cooker and not providing facility for hot drinks (e.g. coffee or tea), while it claims to be a 4 stars hotel.
Visit World War II sites in the area. They were excellent. Enjoyed food and the Bilderberg and Bilderberg Wolfheze. Nothing. It was excellent.
I have stayed there for the past 4 years at the same time and now i have found this web site i will be recommend it to my frends and will be using this web site for all my hols
Super location, great landscape, The single rooms are extremely dark (I have seen two of them), due to very small windows there is a need of light on even during the sunny day!!! Furniture and TV sets (14 inches) are from the past decade must be replaced. Very bad insulation so I couldn’t sleep because somebody had shover at 4;50 am I heard every drop of water. Very expensive Internet 10 Euro per hour. For two hours of bicycle rental I paid 6 Euros and I didn’t get any invoice. By the way the procedure to rent a bike was more complicated than a car rental in many places. Two days ago at other hotel in Germany I used bike and it was no bike rental fee no documents to sign. And finally for a medium size glass of local beer called Brand it was necessary to pay 5,50 Euro what is really pretty pricy.
The hotel was excellent, as were the staff. The situation, in a quiet wooded area, was very pleasant and restful. The catering, especially breakfast facitities and food quality was very good, although busy. We left an article of clothing in our room and it was returned to us in the UK. What better service? We would use this hotel again. Central heating regulator had been broken and was not 'spotted' by staff.
Private balcony , friendly staff No room service after 2100hrs. Overpriced French restuarant
The rooms were beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. It was clear that the hotel had been renovated recently. Very comfortable beds and linens. I was also able to access wifi from my room. The check in and check out was too long since the staff were always busy with the restaurant. Perhaps more staff can be available at the reception during check out hours.
The staff at all times were most friendly, pleasant and helpful. Visiting the local interests especially the Kroner Muller museum and Hoge Veluwe park. Sitting on the terrace of the hotel in the evening enjoying a glass of wine and generally soaking up the ambience of this very vibrant hotel. That the locals came to eat here is recommendation in itself. Ironically the meals - I could not fault the presentation, the quality of cooking nor the wide and imaginative choice of menu but for me the portions were too large - I would have preferred a choice of portion size - I hate leaving half a meal on my plate !
The staff: kind, attentive, ready to serve their clients - and always with a smile. nothing at all. MY ADDRESS HAS CHANGED - I LIVE IN ZEIST NOW. And I was staying in "Kruller" with my sister.
Well appointed hotel with courteous and helpful staff. Restaurant food good and general environment excelllent. A short walk from the national park entrance.
Convenient to National Park entrance. Hotel staff picked us up at the train station (there was a bus strike at the time). Many thanks for that!!
The staff were friendly and welcoming, the hotel is very well placed for the nearby national park. There were too many flies in the dining room.
Celan+breakfast Otterlo is a very small country and you need a car to go somewhere i think.
ambience waiting long time for waiter for dinner
Location - scenic and near to the National Park There is no elevator, we need to climb up the spiral staircase
Clean and comfortable room but nothing special. Excellent location for national park. Excellent buffet breakfast.
