Anonymous, May 2017 - Castlereagh Boutique Hotel, an Ascend Collection Hotel
Pros (+) It had a lot of character with the look and feel of a vintage hotel which was pretty neat. In the heart of the Business District and super close to St. James or Town Hall subway platforms. 30 minute walk to the Opera House or The Rocks.
Cons (-) The double room was too small for a couple, the bathroom door is a sliding door and does not seal, the bed was fairly stiff and the room door does not seal the whole way (can see light through the edges of the door).

Pros (+) There is a very pleasant atmosphere suggestive of old world charm, The entrance, foyer, public rooms and bar are formal but comfortable and relaxed. The staff were friendly and helpful and guests are made to feel welcome. The location is excellent and the hotel is well worth a return visit.
