I was expecting at least a few criteria to be rock bottom like their prices, but I was happily surprised to have experienced an inclusive work environment where employees care and build immediate repour through candid, friendly and genuine communication - outstanding.Cons: I apologise for pre-judging and presuming, but I’m only human right .. They forgot to install toddler car seatPros: Great car except for seat belt problem and fact that Hertz forgot to install car seat that we requested in writing and verballyCons: So we had to return to pick-up location for car seat. Then when we removed car seat to adjust straps for our four year old we could not get he seat belt to ratchet and lock properly to secure car seat, so we had to return to pick-up location a second time(!) for a service person to help with their tricks for getting this seatbelt to work! renting on Australia's east coastPros: The pickup/dropoff went well, especially the help when we returned the car. Car was very comfortable, clean, drove well, and we had no problems.Cons: When we picked up the car, I asked for a map - especially of how to get to the motorway in Sydney. Was told they didn't have any maps. We used our cell gps, but when you go through tunnels service gets dropped (duh) making it a bit stressful about what turn might be next. I was surprised (frustrated) that even a city map was not available in paper form (come on, Hertz!). Next problem was discovered when we got home and I was paying my credit card bills. When my reservation was made, Hertz charged my credit card one day rental costs. But the system never reflected this when renting or returning the car, so I was charged the full amount when dropped off. This is NOT the fault of the return agent, but the Hertz system. I have since sent an email to Hertz and 2 days later still no reply. If this gets resolved, then my rating might go up - but if it takes more work on my part to get resolved, then rating may actually go down. Also, I thought the charge to drop off at a different city was a bit steep - especially since it seemed like more than twice the actual rental cost.

Pros: Very helpful staff at pickup carpark (less so at the desk) when dealing with the issued discussed opposite.Cons: It turns out that the new X-trail model is smaller inside than the previous models. The car was advertised as large enough for 5 adults. It really isn't (just about large enough for 2 adults and 3 children) and bizzarely, the car provided ad an extra 2 folding seats in the back which further reduced the luggage space. Also on arrival I was shown to a Renault which was even smaller but the Hertz staff at the pick-up point accepted that this was not equivalent to the X-trail and changed it.

Delayed pick up and charged twicePros: The lady working at the counter was very friendly.Cons: i upgraded my car but the new car allocated to me wasn't there. Took a long time for them to bring it around, but didn't update my record with the new pick up time. Dropped it the next day taking the delay into account. They charged me an extra day ($160. talked to manager without any luck. Send their customer support an email but the response said they get back to me in 2 weeks.
Pros: The class of vehicle i booked was not available, yet I was charged the full amount BEFORE being informed that the full size SUV was not available. When I wanted to compare other options and cost, I was told to wait (with a 1 year old baby, after a 14 he flight) and ignored for an hour. Staff was short, rude and not interested in providing information. When I offered to return the nexr day to collect the class of vehicle I booked, that was also declined. I eventually got a smaller car, that forced me to change my family holiday plans, required the use of a second vehicle for 5 days.Cons: I should've received the car I booked, or provided with alternatives. I use Thrifty aften (4 times a year, for about 3 months in total) but will reconsider my options in future

No one ever returned our calls from the messages we left. We emailed Sixt corporate and they didn't respond. After wasting 3 hours trying to connect with Sixt, we took the train to our hotel This experience ruined our time in Sydney. I would recommend that you get us a refund and stop booking for Sixt in Australia. Reminder mail from kayak received a day before with the same old address. 2. We arrived to find the 151 William Street, Sydney location locked and one small notice stuck to it informing us that the office had relocated. 3. Tried calling their telephone numbers frantically but got no reply. 4. Went to the relocated office address and found no signs etc so could not locate the office again.. Getting very desperate by now and felt I had been scammed! 5. Luckily saw a Sixt employee on the street in a yellow jacket... Approached him and told our issues. His response was we were not the first to have such issues and definitely not the last... Office had relocated over the weekend in what appears to be with very little planning. 6. He graciously left what he was doing to take us to the relocated office. Overall a very pathetic experience booking via Kayak and priceline!

Cons: When we landed in Sydney, the shuttle was nowhere to be found. Asked all the other rental car stations, and no one was even aware of a Sixt rental car, so we thought we had been scammed. Very difficult getting hold of customer service, finally got hold of the US one who told us where to go. Walked down the end and still, no shuttle to be found. Called again but they didn't have a number for the AUS Sixt either ("emergency" line was just busy all the time) ONE HOUR later, we got hold of the driver of the shuttle to come get us, took 30 minutes in traffic. Not a good experience.

There is always a problem picking up from Red Spot counter in Sydney ACons: Wait at counter, confirmed car seemed different than booked car. When I asked to change I kept on getting contradictory information from counter agent, and quoted prices continued to change by the second, and it seemed to me I was being up-charged.
