Awesome villa. Extremely clean. Maybe you should tell people the ski area is closed. People upstairs drunk and obnoxious. Too bad that we got up at 4 and did not worry about waking them....
Excellent place to stay to visit Okemo and Killington General had no butter and only holiday spiced beer...during the three days I spent they did not replenish. The staff did not have or could not get permission to restock. Pass on apps at resteruant but do get main entrees ...bar was out of Jack Daniels??

The room attendant was geninuely kind and helpful during our stay. The checkout time was not clearly stated nor printed on premise. The day of our departure the front desk agent called the room regarding a billing issue, yet failed to realize that the error was caused on the hotels part. No apology was offered
Staff were friendly and cordial. The place was built for a ski resort but the resort closed so it is miles from area attractions. Bathroom was small. T.V. reception poor.
Location was beautiful. Mountains right outside the windows. Would be great during winter as the ski slopes are right outside. Main building was under construction and closed. Was not aware of this before arrival. Restaurant and Arcade were in main building and therefore closed also. Had to travel off the mountain to town for any dining.
Excellent room for price. WiFi works well in and out of the hotel. Bandwidth is good enough to video chat. Very scenic in the mountain get away. Good 8ft pool and running trail. No cell phone reception. Easy fix is to use WiFi to text using app.
The hotel was nice but too far from anything. Bedroom so small you have to go sideways to get to the other side. Lots of cold air coming threw windows. Pool was huge but so cold! Staff was very accommodating and everything was very clean. Breakfast for $7 was decent and offered a wide variety of foods. Didn't eat in the restaurant but it looked nice. Hopefully someone will be able to get the ski slopes up and running, that would be the key to a great resort.
The location, the views and there was no cell service. They say the rooms have fireplaces, when in fact all they are is an electric insert into a converted gas fireplace. Hard to have a romantic get away with the wife with an electric fireplace.
Showed up at 4:15. Still had to wait another hour before I could enter my room. Check ins started at 3pm. Staffing in restaurant needed more employess took 2 hours total to dine.
The kitchen area was clean and stocked with ample cookware. Went to open up couch for my kids to sleep in and pullout was covered in crumbs and whole crackers. Food in tavern was over priced, small portions and unpalatable. The 'breakfast buffet', which you have to pay for, was sparse And disappointing.
Super staff! Loved the room/suite and the wonderful area. Manager was extremely helpful with a room switch. Great experience that I will gladly repeat again in the future!
vintage rooms, restaurant was excellent parking was almost non-existent
Room was large, clean, and very suited to our dog. Great restaurant on premises. Nothing
How it was decorated, friendly staff Everything was great, I can think of anything I didn't like
Only 10 minutes to the mountain and only a few minutes away from several restaurants. Nice fireplace and lounge area and a decent game room for the kids. Bedroom was quite large and the beds and furniture in the room beat our expectations.
I was very happy of the price and services in this hotel. The suite room offered a full kitchen that allowed us to cook and make lunches to prep for fall folliage trips into the Vermont mountains. I will absolutely return again next year.
The facilities available in the suite were excellent We could not find a directory in the suite giving information about the hotel and local amenities.
friendly staff upon checkout hotel staff should say thankyou , no breakfast served at this time of year
we stayed at pointe because castle was full. we enjoyed both dinner and breakfast at the castle. we are getting to know the way to your hotels and it is not as far as it ssems. ouur guests from russia really liked the scenery i wish that the dinner menu would change, just a little
The hotel is a little bit outdated
It was a charming home and the bears are the most I've ever seen and most of all the are Steif from from Germany not China. All was great and her little CEO was darling. The breakfast was one of the best ever. I'd love to make it again in the near fut NOthing
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was a little small for two people.
Beautiful home - loved the old victorian home! Beautiful little Vermont town with great food within walking distance. Hostess was amazing and the breakfast was a 10+++!! The bathroom and shower were really small.
Charming, friendly staff, great breakfast, convenient location
The hotel was impeccably decorated and one of the innkeepers we met was very personable. The bed was super comfortable and the heated floors in the bathrooms were very nice. The breakfast was an exquisite continental. We enjoyed the lake. There was a lot of light peeking through the door cracks from the hallway and it kept me up, but I just put a shirt over my eyes and it was ok.
The ambiance was inviting, the rooms were so serenely decorated and spotless. It definitely has a Vermont spa feeling. The staff were so accommodating too. We arrived very late at night and they provided a wonderful breakfast late the next morning. A hot breakfast would be a nice addition on the weekends but not necessary.
The restaurant was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was within a short walk of several very interesting small shops. The lounge was comfy. The room was very small. No coffee or TV in room. The grounds were a disappointment. There were no breakfast meats with the included breakfast.
owner was great, got us a good deal on lift tickets price should have been about $40 a night less but like said above in question 1 it would of been if I had delt with owner directly
The rooms are comfortable with WIFI and cable TV. I was happily surprised with the microwave and refridgerator. I will go back there just for that. It is just right on the main road so there is traffic noise. It was nothing that was a deal breaker.
The beds are comfortable. There was no coffee maker in the room.
The Timber Inn is a great deal if you're going to Ludlow to ski Okemo. It's just a mile out of "town" (Ludlow is pretty small), but there is a free shuttle to the mountain and free van shuttles to take you to and from restaurants (or you can walk across the street to Sam's Steakhouse) so it's all very convenient. The rooms are nice, nothing spectacular (the TV's are almost antiques), but they are very clean and the shower was wonderful - endless hot hot water and good pressure. The proprietor was very friendly and recommended some great local spots for dining out, and made it very easy for us to get checked in very late at night. As stated earlier, the TV's left a little something to be desired (the remotes don't let you adjust the volume - you have to get out of bed for that).
I thought it was a delightful place. Good food, interesting accomodations in a lovely old home that has been well preserved. Care was given to maintaining the original architecture and charm. Food was good and staff was very attentive. Pricey, but that's the way it is with nice places. The absence of an elavator makes the need for a bellman important.
We booked this hotel online 'special' and it was awful. The room was dirty, the common areas smelled terrible and the pools were small and crowded. To top it all off, the 'Pointe' where we stayed was really a motor lodge type motel - right on a main road. We did look at switching into a Castle room - they were somewhat better than the Pointe but still not what I expected from the website. We asked the front desk for information about nearby movies and they were NOT helpful - pointed us to a newspaper in the foyer that was from February .... shabby, depressing, not a good place for a romantic weekend.
Excellent facility....quite charming and luxurious!
Appearances can be deceiving. We booked their $* internet special. We saw the pictures of the mansion and thought that our accommodations would be similar in style. \n \nWhat we got was a 1/3 condo, 2 twin beds butted up to each other, 1/2 shower (large enough for a midget), maid service who only brought new towels, etc. You get the picture. \n \nWas up here for our anniversary, made dinner reservations only to be told busload of tourists were to be in at 6 pm and no one can be there at that time. We changed our plans and made dinner reservations at the Inn at Weathersfield. (BTW Great food, superb atmosphere) \n \nMeanwhile, the mansion's food was so-so. Not the best I had, nor the worst. \n \nBottle of champagne and chocolates was nice touch, but totally out of character for room quality. \n \nSo the question is would I stay back here in the condo...NO! \n \nThe mansion would be nice, except for the fact that there are nicer places to stay for the money. \n
My husband and I were married at the Echo Lake Inn. From the first moment I started working with the Innkeeper Laurance and the wedding planner Ruxana I ran into NOT once single issue. Every request was met quickly and exceeded my expectation. The cost is very affordable, both the rooms and the wedding. The location, food, and staff are amazing and the environment is so welcoming you don't want to leave. My guests had nothing but wonderful complliments about the food, service and beauty of the wedding and staff. My wedding was completetly error free due to the attention to detail and professionalism at the Inn. Laurance made our day perfect and for that I will always be grateful. My husband and I have decided to return very frequently for dinners, weekend getaways and of course our anniversaries (and we live 20 minutes away)
The hotel staff were excellent as was the breakfast we were served. The room and bath were minimal, but overall adequate.
My husband and I got married at Echo Lake Inn and we can't say enough wonderful things about it! As a courtesy the entire Inn was reserved for the weekend for us exclusively. The food, location, setting, service, and absolutely everything was beyond perfect! Our guests (and us too) were all treated like family, and we felt like celebrities! It was wonderful to have everyone together in once place. The front porch was the place to be- we spent more time there than anywhere else! Laurence, the Innkeeper, was so wonderful to us and helped me with absolutely everything, and Neil was the most attentive and wonderful man (always making sure I was happy and had whatever I needed or wanted). We were so in love with our Luxury King Suite that we booked an extra night! We will absolutely be going back to celebrate our anniversary, and I know my friends and family will be going back as they just fell in love with the Inn too.
Perfectly located less than one mile from Okemo and directly on the shuttle route. Michael, Irene, and Marlowe are very welcoming. My polite, quiet 8 year old son was very welcome and enjoyed himself. However, this is a quiet B&B and rambunctious children would be bored. Nothing. Liked it all.
