The room and bathroom were beautiful. Comfortable pillows. Great pool and jacuzzi with stunning view. Sundeck equipped with comfortable loungers. Less than 5 minute walk to Omonia metro and 20 minute stroll to Acropolis. Great breakfast (better selection than most London hotels). Overall, I was pleasantly surprised. Pool shuts at 6pm which is far too early. Surrounding area is not the prettiest.
Hotel itself was very nice-rooftop pool overlooking the Acropolis. New and modern facilities, workout room, breakfast room. Front desk staff were very helpful once you got to talk to them. There was always only one person working the front desk so you always had to wait in line for service at busy times. Location was in a questionable area but convenient to subway. Restaurant was rather pricey.
the relaxed and friendly atmosphere created by the staff
The staff was very courteous and helpful and the rooms were very nice! The pool closed at 6:00PM which was too early if you wanted to enjoy it after a day of seeing the city.
Central location Bedroom and fittings need a good spring cleaning
I liked the comfort! The dangerous location
The rooftop pool, truly outstanding with a beautiful view of Athens. The location, although not a particularly nice neighborhood is close to everything and steps from the metro station. The pool hours (10 am to 6 pm) are too restrictive if you're traveling on business.
i think the location it was one of the main reasons the fact that there was
Received room upgrade (thank you) and was very pleased with location .... only a couple of blocks from underground and thus good access to sights and airport. Breakfast good - staff helpful !! Athens itself is dirty and polluted - transport strike by underworked and overpaid public servants doesn;t make you feel that you'd want to return anytime soon.
Level of the employees Wi-Fi only in the Lobby (always crowded with more than 10 people trying to use internet). This is not acceptable in the level of the hotel.
Staff at reception very freindly and helpful Breakfast could bee until 11.00 and with availability of alos products notzbly orange juice until the end
The hotel was clean and the room comfortable. I was there for less than 12 hours and for half of these I was asleep The bar facilities were limited and the English speaking news channel was not tuned in properly
We found the manager and the staff exceptionally helpful. On our arrival the manager came from his office to welcome us with glasses of orange juice and thereupon gave us advice on how to use the metro, how to go to the Acropolis Museum, and how to find some good eating spots. He advised us to go to Rozalie's restaurant. Which we did and found very good value, and pleasant. The area, for which we cannot blame the hotel.
The helpfulness of the staff, we had a free upgrade to a suite, this was a real bonus. The proximity to the 400 city tour bus start point and the Archiological Museum. The most comfortable beds of our trip.
staff were extremely helpful and nice.
The personnel was willing to help. The building is very well restored. The breakfast could be better
helpful reception staff; area did not feel shady. breakfast not great quality but nevertheless adequate
Staff at the reception very helpful. Quite close to Omonia square. clean. Good rates. on our first day we arrived for breakfast at 9.40am as we had arrived late the night before. we found that almost every thing was finished and was not replaced.
The breakfast was great as well as the cleanliness of the room. It was close to transport as well. The street that you must walk through to transport did make me feel uneasy as I was by myself and there were a lot of students from the uni as well as many homeless. If with someone else, I would not have been bothered.
The breakfast and the staff were excellent. The room was clean and nicely decorated. The walls were thin and you could hear your neighbors. The bathroom was very poorly set up. There was no door to the shower so water got all over the floor. If someone was using the toilet and another person opened the door, it would open onto their knees. The toilet paper holder was located in an awkward position behind the toilet...hard to reach. The hotel is located in a rather rough neighborhood.
Not sure this hotel is worthy of a 4 star categorisation. Room was very small and the shower inoperable
close to Metro subway. close to Metro, but bad environment. Too laud to sleep. Window sound insulation is terrible.
Personal muy amigable, eficiente y servicial.
The view from the rooms is amazing. The service was really good. We consider the hotels' roof garden with it's great view relaxing atmosphere a great place for food and cocktails. It's close to the center of Athens and we had easy access to the metro(Omonia Station). We highly recommend the Bistro next to the lobby for coffee and evening drink. If you visit Athens and you are looking for a pleasant stay,go to Polis Grand Hotel!!!
Good Hotel, was nice to stay there! Close to the market and metro as well to the city centre.
service value no wi-fi access
The location is great, only 3-4 minutes walk from Omonoia square. The view from the room was amazing, Acropolis and Lycabettus Hill. The bed was very comfortable, and free wireless internet!!! Small thing that isn't worth to mention. The value for money is very hard to beat.
Very good hotel facilities, nice roof garden!! Value of money as a four star hotel.
Breakfast was great Room size good Friendly staff Good wifi
Polite Reception Stuff. Price! Definetely worn out and shabby, not 4*! Breakfast was of poor choice, and there was too much noice in my room!
very helpfull and friendly staff. clean hotel. nice location. away from downtown rush. none
Good position of the hotel, the room number 711 (superior) is better and with good panorama (Partenone and hill). Good service and quality for Greece and not expensive. Five stars as four in Italy, France or Germany, but really very good for a nice weekend. Thumbs up!!!
The hotel is under reconstruction in some area and there is noise, also the rooms had a bad smell and it was necessary to keep the window open. The location is good, we had a nice view but I don't think that the 5 stars of the hotel are corect ( maybe 4 stars is right).
Breakfast and the 8th floor restaurtant which has an amazing view of Athens, Nothing. Basically the holel has low quality of mattress and pillows. They do not provide complimentary beverages of any kind. The location is on a busy street and is surrounded by narrow streets and apartments. The hallways are dark and lights are too dim to see the door number or the side of key to put into the electronic lock. I am not sure it is a 4-star hotel.
The location is far from the city center. The hotel has only one restaurant including a pool bar which was booked for a private function for 2 nights. This limited us to dine in the indoor restaurant. The female waiter was too rude and didn't want us to sit in the dining area but only next to the bar.
Very good welcome, real feeling to be a customer. The staff did all their best so that we had an enjoyable stay Room air conditioning little bit noisy
A nice looking hotel with a fantastic view of the surroundings from the top roof! Wonderful breakfast and nice staff at the breakfast and in the lobby. Not very alert personnel at the top roof restaurant, lots of mistakes, the food was ok but costed more than it was worth! The beds were far to hard for all of us and that is the reason why we would not choose this hotel again even if our room was very good. The poolhours could be more generous.
Nothing-This is not a five star hotel (a five star hotel has workable equipment, supplies dressing gowns and slippers and usually the beds are of a reasonable size-we had the opportunity to stay in a 3 star and it seemed like heaven compared to this hotel. Paying extra for a hotel with a swimming pool is simply a waste as it was closed and does not open until after Easter. The AC was not working, the decor was poor, the toilet seat stained, towels worn out and dirty, bed not a double and couldn't even fit the child on the single bed supplied and due to the AC not working the windows had to be opened resulting in it being very noisey and got bitten badly by mosiquitos-the hotel could not even supply an electrical or any mosiquito remedy.
The position was good, friendly / helpful staff / good breakfast
Tout en général Internet payant
Breakfast is very nice and the staff are helpful The room is old. The nearest Metro station Victoria station is closed during my stay!!! Can't beleive it!!
Pool very nice Nothing
The place is good and it has a good food The people is so rude
Modern facilities Rooftop was not lit at night, Unable to have drinks on the rooftop (even if October, the weather was still fine), location was very bad (did not go out at night as did not want to walk in the area at night).
Clean nice hotel, good breakfast, nice view from the roof The location is terrible
breakfast old furniture in the hotel qnd if having a shutle from Airport to the Hotel it will be excellent.
Decently large rooms by European standards, nice view from the rooftop pool. Decent price, and comfortable bed. Pool hours are very limited, I figured I could go for a swim after being out for the day only to be told the pool closes around 1830. Presumably, they don't want to sacrifice the bar ambiance around the pool by people actually using the pool. And it didn't reopen until 9am in the morning, too late to be useful before needing to run out for the day. Typical terrible Greek hours. Very disappointed that the pool, one of the main reasons I booked the hotel, was 100% useless. You should consider it for show only. The hotel isn't in a bad area (by comparison to the rest of Athens), but the walk to the metro is not the most enjoyable and I kept an eye out for unsavory people. I was surprised to find a Novotel in such a residential area - nothing close by that you'd want to walk to (except the metro to head to a more interesting area). The view from the roof could be Lebanon or the Gaza Strip if you didn't see the Acropolis way off in the distance.
All staff were so friendly and did they best to satisfy customers. The location the hotel is based became the worst for the whole Athens during last 10 years.
Very nice hotel! We enjoyed our stay and had an amazing time in Athens! It could have been a little closer to all the sites, or closer to the metro station. Next time we will probably stay in a hotel near the heart of Athens, so we wont have to use the subway as much.
all rooms are renovated
The hotel is within a ten minute walk of the Larissa Metro station. Hotel and the street bordering the entrance are being renovated which degrades the ambience, but the hotel staff provided a renovated and quiet room away from it all.
Good sleep after a month on a yacht in Greece
clean quality service parking city center easy to find
The size of the room. The area where it was situated, though it is in the center of athens, it's probably the worst part of athens. But still, for that price you can get a cab (if he decides to work) to anywhere you like and still pay less than a hotel of the same quality in a better area of the city.
I liked everything, and wonder how a so good hotel can be so cheap. Nothing, even the location was better than I thought.
This is an excellent choice- dont worry about neighborhood- always busy and people are nice- market and pharmacy are close by- 5 min walk to Larissa subway..I was in my room all day until 630PM and left for one hour only to return to a completely clean room again,,,Hotel staff are excellent- if you want to see perfect smiles? look at Dina and Evy's on front desk- I was very impressed for the 10 days I stayed there- you will be pleased with this choice for sure- nice balcony with table and chairs as well
Great hotel for a very reasonable price. A little difficult to find on initial trip.
The room was too small, the walls were too thin and they were not understanding or willing to change my reservation when extenuating circumstances came up.
The hotel is new, clean and its rooms are large with everythin we need in it. The staff are helpful. The location makes it quite hard to find if you drive.
Excellent facilities for the price, and very attentive staff for international travelers in particular. The location is not optimal for getting around Athens, the subway and trains and buses all being at more than 2 blocks away.
Free WiFi internet, helpful staff, small extras such as robe, toothpaste and additional free movie channels.Spotlessly clean, close to Victoria Square and the metro with close access to moderatly priced tavernas, cafes and supermarkets Suroundings in poor area
Beautiful room, helpful staff, close to metro, delicious club sandwiches via room service! Only a minor gripe - the metro stops at about 1AM, so if you stay out late it's a taxi job.
The hotel was great. I love the staff and theri service. Location not the best buth then again you can easily navigate to wherever you want. I will stay there again but dont like the idea the the rooms dont come with breakfast. I loved the internet facility that was free. I recommend this hotel. Service and swift response of the staff and the cleanliness. Didnt like the bed of room 601 and pillows too. too hard. Room was of almost 4 star but for that reason. last place I saw such bed was in bed and breakfast.
Free Internet, Nice people, Clean Whirlpool did not work, Airco did not work, Breakfast just a tablet, no choice at all, I asked for a non-smoke room but I got a smokerroom, bad smell.
the staff was pleasant and very helpful. the hotel was clean, the room's layout was comfortable and well maintain, it is also close to most of the important sights in athens I would prefer the hotel to be a bit closer to Syntagma square. but then the rate would not be as reasonable.
I like very much the olive garden restaurant and food there. and good location of the hotel I didnt like a food at all.
rhe lobby was cool from 70's The room from 70's too and needs total renovation Should have a pool Still charge for internet And gave no option for late check out.
Comfort/services Outside noise
The location was perfect The hotel promises internet and wifi but once you get there, they tell you that if you want internet in your room you have to pay for it and it is expensive!!! The room smelled of cigarette and the bathroom smelled of stale mold. The staff was impolite, at best, except for Adonis at the front desk, he was extremely courteous and helpful.VERY DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE!
The service was very good and the people that they work there very friendly.
The bar/restaurant on the top floor has an incredible view. There really isn't much in the surrounding area for restaurants/bars.
location no free internet
I did not like the fact that when I booked a triple they said they would not allow my 6 year old son to stay in the room. they considered him a fourth person. he is a very small six year old. to go to a quad, the price went from 135 euro to 260 euro. that is a big jump and I do not feel like the room was worth $416 us dollars for the night.
Great staff Room 245 is a little shabby in the bathroom ie loose taps and tatty ceiling paneling
It is well located. from the hotel is possible to walk to all interesting places in Athens
I liked the friendliness of the staff, they were very helpful and on-point for all my requests and questions. The view from the executive suite is amazing, you can take a shower while looking right at the Parthenon! The standard rooms appear much nicer in the pictures provided. Our first room had a view of the "guts" of the building i.e. ventilation units, water tanks, pipes and little to no sunlight. We then requested to be moved to an outside view room and was given to us with no charge. Was a bit better than the inner view room but still nothing like the pictures or our expectations, so I ended up paying 100 EUR extra to be relocated to an executive room that was more than perfect.
The friendliness of the staff especially in the breakfast room. Olive Garden staff very friendly even at 2 a.m. Kyraikos Zinoviou at recepion was exceedingly helpful.
Hotel staff was very friendly, rooms are vert nice and new and good location, close to Victoria metro
Good location, sparkling cleanliness, elegant, though minimalist, furniture 20-Second noisy vibration after flushing toilet (did not hear it from neighbouring rooms), absence of safe, nothing to grip in shower, no easy chair, only a stool. At the price, these are not serious failings.
The front-desk staff really deserve a compliment, they do an excellent job! Rooms are great, they are sound-proof, come with a nice bathroom and the pillows are also good.
The best part of the room was a terrace, so do not hesitate to book a slightly more expensive room and ask for 6th floor - the view of the Lycabettus Hill is fantastic. The staff is very friendly. It is great choice if the main reason for your stay is National Archeological Museum, which is basically around the corner. It is a good value for money, but next time I will stay in the Syntagma Square area. The location is not the best, you will have to get a cab or public transport to get to main attractions (3-4 bus stops). Bus ticket is 1 euro, cab may be very expensive, because taxi drivers seriously overcharging tourists and their taximeters not at the right speed. Victoria metro station (which is supposed to be nearest) is closed and works seem to continue forever, so from the airport you will get to Monastiraki station, please do not take taxi, walk from there, its just 20 minutes. Breakfast which is included is quite poor, to be honest. Eggs, ham, cheese and pastry are not the best quality and doneness, but we discovered after several days Greek Yoghurt, it was very good to mix with fresh fruits and commercially prepared granola.
Friendly staff, excellent maintenance and housekeeping; very good location near metro station, frequent buses. Noise from street, especially at night.
The hotel was extremely new, as I heard that it had been opened just one month ago, the location is good and safe, staff is friendly, I highly recommend this hotel for persons who want to stay in safe, good, economical place.. The hotel was new and somethings were still non-exist (minibar, curtain at bath ,etc.)
a very good budget hotel
The hotel staff is so professional and polite that staying in hotel becomes a great pleasure. I didn't like the smell of sigarettes in the room
The hotel is modern, with new furniture and nice interior design. Rooms has no mistake, also the location is perfect, walking distance to city center and all interesting places. Hotel staff is very nice, friendly, helpful and joyful. The only minus for the hotel is the location near the main road so for people who like to sleep with window open can be a bit noisy during the night.
Hotel is new, furniture is sparkling new. Bathrooms very comfortable. Very nice staff. Very good quality for money. View from some of the rooms is a disaster! Also, because hotel is completely new, small details still need to be fixed. For instance a hook for the shower head is needed. In my room some essential pieces of furniture were missing (no chair, no desk)
The hotel is great. The staff very friendly, nothing is too much trouble and theie English superb. On the day I left there was a taxi strike and they offered a car free of charge to the tube. The breakfast is very good. The rooms quite large and very clean. Internet connection in the room is an added bonus. The Art Hotel is a little away from the Plaka near Omonia. It is a 15 minute walk to the main tourist sites. The 5 minute walk to the tube takes you through an area frequented by prostitutes. I felt safe at all times and was not hassled at all but this may make some people feel uncomfortable.
Friendly stuff. Dangerous area
location, friendly staff and informative with tourist information
Decor was unique, staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Eileen was helpful! They made us a breakfast two hours early before time because we had an early flight. The room was small, which in Athens is understandable, but the furniture was too big for the room. There were two a/c units in the room, which we didn't know one didn't work. Missing remote for the working one, and never cooled the room down. The phone didn't work until staff said we had to jiggle the cords. The area of the hotel wasn't the best, but the price reflected.
The surrounding area is horrible.
The hotel staff were very friendly and we were greeted with a complimentary drink on arrival. The hotel rooms and deco are very fresh, bright and modern. The hotel is located in a rather rough part of town with lots of people hanging around on the street.
Excellent staff, friendly and helpful. Exceptional room. The area around is not the best, but quite close to main attractions.
The staff of the hotel is very friendly and service minded, even at night they provide you with internet wires, drinks etc a tiny criticism , the breakfast coffee is really not strong enough.
The friendly welcome received after the while it took to get there was really pleasing, free drink and informative talk of where to go and what to see. Nothing bad about the hotel itself, just the outside location of poor quality but then again most of Athens is of poor quality.
Hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. The common areas of the hotel are beautiful. Room was spacious. A/C worked exceptionally well. Bathroom was large. Room furnishings a bit dingy. Minor problems such as burnt out lightbulbs, no remote for the TV, shower drained very slowly. But for the nightly rate all these things were worth it.
The personell were very polite and they were trying to help you all the time! The breakfast was very good and the location of the hotel excellent. The hotel was very clean and the rooms were excellent. Great value for money definetely recommending it!!
Good room, good breakfest, nice people, pleasant stay Only one car parking place.
The staff was helpfull. The location of the hotel is good, but the area near hotel is not good. I dont know why in the 3 star hotels in Greece there are no fruits or vegatables(breakfast), tomatoes, even olivs.Greece is not Island....
Cheap price, suited our needs. Did not provide transportation to airport as advertised.
The staff were wonderful, friendly and very helpful. I liked everything.
Ideal for simple base in an expensive city (Athens); good breakfast buffet, simple bar, mixed clients. Area (ex red light district!) might put off the nervous! But not us, we enjoyed our stay and they provided an excellent map (when we eventually found the place in the dark), together with helpful suggestions on sites, transport etc etc. The lift was best avoided! Stairs got us into training for the Acropolis.
Owners very nice. Location and very basic for the money.
Hotel near center of city, possible to reach every place by walking, staff informing with will Toilets for giant :)
It was short - but a very nice and helpful staff - good location and a very fair price
Clean rooms . Had a room next to the lift (no balcony as promised) with so much noise that we could not sleep. Would rather stay at a hotel with no breakfast, because it was lousy. The eggs were boiled too much! And the bread was not worth eating.
The hotel has wi-fi all around and the staff is excellent, especialy the man in the night called "juanito", speak in spanish and is so friendly and always bring us solutions for all. Omonia is a specially place because near are prostitutes and yonkis but never feel me insecure, if you don´t look in a curious way, they leave you go quiet,
One of the receptionist has no english skill.
We enjoyed the spa and comfortable bed.Reception staff were very helpful too.
Elanor Kalkova, manageress of the bar was wonderful. Friendly, a wonderful cook and a fantatasic host.An emotional farewell at the end of the week. The reception staff were distictly average, only helping when absolutely necessary, Reported faults to the jacuzzi were ignored.
It's very clean and spacious. Not very easy to find.
The location and the hotel staff is great. Choose a Jacuzzi room yououou will love it !!
Good location in a non tourist neighbourhood.
Nice comfortable, modern rooms furnished with taste. Internet wifi available in rooms. Beautiful roof terrasse for breakfast I had to change the room because it was not cleaned properly, mostly the bathroom. Elevator could be more clean too.
The jakuzi bath-tab, the minimal design Cleanliness
for dinner i had best chicken in my life. exelent cook. well, room was so small, but i understood cuz this is boutique hotel.
Most of the stuff was very helpful and polite and the hotel was brand new with very nice colors and furniture. Nice bathroom, big enough bed and a 32' LCD on the wall. The most value for money hotel in Athens! One of the two breakfast stuff was kind of rude. Unfortunately there was not hot water one of the five nights that we stay there
The staff was friendly, the room was net clean and very comfortable as well. The furniture was modern/new unlike many other hotels. Also the bathroom was very comfortable, very clean and had a taste of good design. The area was very quiet, although Athens has some issues with the immigrants. However, the location of the hotel was fine and i didn't hear any noise during the night despite my window looking at the street. + Flat TV screen, a small fridge, a large mirror and a very comfortable bed. Very satisfactory experience. Maybe a one-use pair of slippers in the bathroom would add some extra points to this fabulous hotel.
