Pros: Couldn’t recommend staying here highly enough. The hosts are fantastically friendly, welcoming, and helpful and went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed and was comfortable. Very reasonably priced including the hearty breakfasts in a warm cosy B&B, I felt completely at home and wished I could have stayed longer. A* - wouldn’t dream of staying anywhere else in Aviemore, thank you Ever so much for your help and for a top notch stay!

Pros: Ken and Jo were absolutely charming hosts, and it was a pleasure to stay with them. They were welcoming and full of useful knowledge about the local area. We stayed for four nights in one of the glamping pods, which - despite it being cold outside - were very comfortable and well-equipped. The breakfasts were excellent value and extremely tasty. The local area has a good selection of places to eat, and we enjoyed hiking in the hills nearby.

Pros: RCGH is a great place to stay, the owners Scott & Helena are very easy going & friendly. The guest house itself is lovely, the rooms are modern & contemporary in decor. Room 7 King Room at the back of the property & not in the main house, is simply lovely, it's like a wee cabin all on its own. Bed exceedly comfortable & we got 3 nights great sleep. Breakfast's are just as good, excellent start to the day, great to see dietary requirements are taken into account. The RCGH is centrally located to all town amenities & the glory of exploring the beautiful Cairngorms National Park. Thanks again Scott & Helena, look forward to coming back in the next year. Pros: I liked everything about my stay! Adrian was a great host and I felt welcome and relaxed as soon as I arrived. The room was lovely and Adrian also kindly did breakfast for me a bit early as I had an early train. The breakfast was very good and great coffee (not always a given!) I thought it was also very good value.

Pros: I would think that the service provided by Adrian the proprietor is as good as it gets. He arranged for the drying of our wet ski gear, gave good advice on what to see in the area, where to drink and served up really tasty breakfasts. Mentioning where we were staying produced discounts and Adrian provided details of where these applied. The room was of a good size, clean and very comfortable. The separate bathroom provided our room was excellent and equipped with an air heater which was a nice addition. Would definitely return.

Pros: Location right opposite the train station. The room was absolutely spotlessly clean. Comfortable bed. Bathroom was spotlessly clean. Lovely high ceilings. Staff were helpful and friendly. We were the last people to stay during the covid 19 situation and the staff were really kind in doing room service for us for breakfast and dinner, which was delicious! I really hope this hotel gets back on its feet after this awful time because it is a little gem.

Cons: During the covid-19 shut down it was extremely difficult for staff. It seemed that higher management neglected the frontline staff and did not guide them through the government advice with regards to the opening/closure of the bar, where guests can sit etc.

Cons: Shame the slide/pool shoot was out of action and it would be great if there was a quick spin/swim wear dryer I have seen at other hotels in changing room areas!

Pros: The staff at Morlich were amazing! We got our hotel room changed to lodge for no extra cost and it was excellent - especially since everything was closed due to Coronavirus and good for 2 days isolation. They accommodated are needs best they could! Giving us breakfast in isolation and lodge room service etc. The staff were so friendly. EspeciallyJakub who sorted the lodge stay instead of hotel room. Thank you!

Cons: The hotel is starting to look a bit tired. The room was excellent but the décor and the floor coverings to the corridors and stairwells are in need of refurbishment. The lift really looked tired.

Cons: Bad check in experience... key cards didn't work after 3 attempts and room was a double rather than twin as booked. Toiletries and tea making facilities not replenished until after 4 pm the second day which was an inconvenience

Pros: The properties are very dated and the noise from the adjoining houses was load so I would stay in a detached lodge next time. The bar area is clean but the lighting is awful / bright and daylight LED bulbs makes it feel too bright and uncomfortable. Reception were happy enough but it didn't feel like the usual Macdonald welcome and warm greeting you usually get.

Cons: We were dissapointed to find out that we'd have to pay for our electricity, a meter charge at the end of the holiday.....which is ridiculous, you go away to not pay for these things. Plus we were lead under total false pretence that everything was fine and usable, not aware of any changes (which they were) second day we left as me and my kids couldnt eat there or use any facilities regarding the corona virus..... A little bit of honesty would have been greatly appreciated. I'm livid for what I paid to have no refund vouchers or anything, even though we had to cut our stay short.

Cons: Could have done with a supply of logs for the burner, and the property could have been pre heated, even a little, before my arrival. Once heated it was cosy enough.

Cons: Swimming pool was freezing, was advised on check in that there was an issue with the temp and we could use the other resorts pool as we had young children. When we went to use collect towels we were advised the issue was fixed and we could now use the normal pool. I would hate to have experienced it before it was fixed as it was still far too cold.

Cons: We're do I start we came here for a family trip what a disaster!! Staff very rude no people skills didn't seem to know what they were doing! On the second day 6 adults 3 kids age 3, 2 and a 12 week old baby went to the swimming they watched us go in with the kids we went into the pool was like ice to be told the boiler was broke!!! The manager who was sat right their says take their number and tell them I will call tomorrow! Did he call...... No!! And into the bargain they charge you for WiFi and electricity not the relaxin family break we had planned avoid at all cost!!!!

Cons: Terrible service and stay. You get charged for electricity so we didn't use any resulting in us staying in a freezing cold lodge. The pool was cold and closed half the time. It's not a spa as advertised. We were promised two lodges together but on arrival we were told it would cost over £100 more to make this happen and the receptionist was incredibly rude. I won't return and can't think of anything positive to say about this place.

Cons: No rapport with staff. Hotel cleanliness dreadful. Body fluids on duvet cover and base of bed, foodstuffs under bed, skirtings thick with dirt. Restaurant of poor standard and breakfast time at Aviemore resort the worst of all the MacDonald hotels.

Cons: Hotel was dated, tired and desperately needing modernisation. Don’t think it justified the room rate. Would consider other accomodation in Aviemore rather than stay here again.

Cons: Due to low occupancy they put us in a cheap hotel even though we had paid for the more expensive one. Also room was dirty, smelly and not a nice location. We had clothes removed from our room and have had no response from them reference our complaints.
