Very friendly and helpful staff. Also plenty of things to do and see in both the hotel and local area. When we booked the hotel online, ( Not the Official Hilton website ), we filled in the details for our children (14 + 12 ) for a family suite, but when checking in they were not included in the booking ! The staff however sorted this out there and then.
A good value for money hotel. Great location, close to the Cairngorms with good facilities and nice staff.
The best thing was the friendliness of the staff. Also the fact that it was family friendly made a big difference.Unfortunately these were the only 2 positives 1. Bathroom dirty-mold on tiles.2. Sink blocked-had to get a plumber to fix it and only just, the problem recurred next day. 3. Children's disco music too loud for children's ears!! DJ would not listen to parents' complaints. Overall 6/10
The room with bunk beds was really too small for two big boys.
The staff were very customer focussed. The service and value for money was extremely good. For guests with no family, they should be aware of the huge number of kids!!
Very relaxing stay with excellent facilities & good evening entertainment No
Very family orientated. Plenty to do for the kids
that it was close to the Cairngorms and the ski hire was in the grounds of the hotel. The hotel is very poor. Really should not be called a Hilton. Food was very poor quality, even the a la carte menu was awful, mass produced and re heated. The corridors and rooms smelt like they hadn't been hoovered in years. Definately not value for money. Would not recommend to anyone and would not stay again.
Dining room was super efficiently run by very warm and friendly staff.
I was upgraded to a chalet which was great. The resort is clean tidy and family friendly. As we were on a short stay we did not use the facilities of the hotel but all looked good. I would consider going back with my family in the future. Aviemore is a fantastic base for touring the surrounding area. In the upgraded chalet the main TV did not work as the "digi box" was missing. The other TVs worked OK.The breakfast was not that great, the food was poorly presented, (dried out baked beans, cold eggs and untidy coffee and fruit juice areas).
Its central location to Aviemore and the activities that you could undertaken in the surrounding area Unable to request a late check out
Evening meal was very good but breakfast was a lower standard
Registration easy and polite, some difficulty with the room numbers, three is fine while four is a problem!!. Dining room staff excellent. No problems.
Very big and lots to do. Very nice staff. Very noisy rooms. You'll jump up from your bed if your neighbour closes his door.
position that about it For luxury rooms, I found them under standard, expensive for what they were and food over priced.
I think probably the thing I liked best about the hotel was the excellent location of the resort and in particular the close proximity of the train station in Aviemore. We had considered going to the Hilton at Coylumbridge but when I happened on the Aviemore Highland resort we chose that instead. Also I liked the extreme efficiency of the reception and check in staff and everything was explained clearly and concisely. Finally, the resort really suited us as all the facilities were nearby to the hotel and we even had a direct link from our hotel in to the leisure complex to save us getting cold! In general the experience was quite unique and thoroughly enjoyable. I would definitely return at a future date. If I have one thing to report it was that on the Saturday night we experienced noise coming from the next room which at first was quite loud but we took this upon ourselves to sort out this problem and eventually the party in question calmed down
The location was ideal for our stay in the area Overpriced, the room was not 4* by any standard, queued everyday for breakfast yet room half empty,
The Room was large and extremely well furnished
All Foreign staff were excellent. Excellent facilities. The British girls working at the swimming pool were very unhelpful, bordering on down right rude. I did consider making a complaint about them. The booking sight did not have enough photos.
The services for the children and the staff were great. We took advantage of the cinema pool and the inflatable softplay/ disco- our 4 year old had a great time. We were a little upset at the placing of our room-behind tesco loading area-we found this very noisy in the evenings as it was too warm to sleep with windows closed. We also came back one day to find the maid had been in and made our beds but left our room door open. We did however have a lovely time and had we been staying longer than 2 nights we probably would have aksed to move rooms etc. This hasnt put us off coming back we just put it down to experience.
Leisure facilities are excellent. Shower in bedroom leaked through to the bathroom floor. Last 2 stays in different rooms I've had the same problem.
Leisure facilities excellent, kids loved the pool. Only on internet booking as never asked whether children were with you and could not book a cot online, nevertheless the excellent staff arranged for one straight away.
I went as a parent with three children and i found the location and facilities excellent I found the room was small and a bit shabby
facilities like play area for children and swimming pool poor , untidy rooms and not value for the money I spend.Staff are arrogant or I would say misinformed, unfriendly.. I would not suggest this hotel to any..
Variety of activites for all ages
Facilities were very good for keeping a family entertained. The Academy was not welcoming. The reception area was dark, hall way was worn, doors needed painted and i felt our family was one of the few families occupying an empty hotel. I would not return to this part in a hurry!
The outdoor children's play area, swimming pool.
Nice working staff No restaurant, Couldn't get in the Hotel bar, because only people with red wrist bands were allowed in from the Harley Davidson group.
The food was excellent
The staff were friendly and it was a relaxing environment to stay in.
The food was excellent as were the staff. We ended up staying two nights instead of one.The bed also very comfortable after a days walking in the hills.Very good value for money.
The staff were pleasant and eficient. The hotel has set the right balance beteen being a local resource and looking after visitors. The food was local and wholesome and tasty. Overall the hotel was good value for money and the stay was very enjoyable. Not a lot. the bright winking slot machine in the main bar is out of place.
This is a typical old fashioned Scottish hotel and very welcoming No complaints apart from 3feet of snow and almost not making is back home. Nothing to do with hotel.
Hotel staff very friendly, restaurant serves lovely meals , good ambiance.
The Hotel has character, staff are superb and the bar and restaurant has a great atmostphere. This time we had a very small room.
Food, Friendlyness of staff No
close to amenities
Good wholesome food in cosy surroundings, friendly staff room was a bit hot and could have been a bit smarter.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely bedroom with views. Good dinner menu and breakfast. Would recommend this hotel.
Staff were very helpful and polite overall our stay was very relaxed and comfortable. Nothing
The atmosphere was very good. The staff were excellent
The staff were lovely and very helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Hats off to the chef, the food was excellent!!! Overall a nice hotel and would go back. The bed wasn't very comfortable and i felt the room could have been bigger.
staff were very friendly, food amazing and lovely views
The warmth of the hotel, it's owners & staff. Also the food presentation & taste were superb.Would not hesitate to recomend or use again!
Extremely comfortable bed, tasteful decor and delicious food. The hosts are kind, considerate and helpful. Highly recommended!
Food was excellent. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly, going out of their way to make our stay very pleasant and hassle free.
Very nice country hotel ideal for relaxing.! Staff were friendly and efficient. Clean tydy room well layed out large tv. Great food best breakfast had in long time. Will be planning long weekend there in future.
Bed linen clean also towels. Hotel in a central location. Breakfast well cooked just a poor selection; fresh fruit bruised; grapefruit only avaiable one morning Lounge a bit noisy for some tastes.Meals served in lounge no breakfast room.Serving staff need a little more training.
Friendly, helpful staff. Good variety of musical entertainment on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. Tasty, value for money food. The hotel is in the process of being taken over which caused problems for availability of menu items. The hotel is in need of refurbishment.
Good breakfast and good parking
Excellent breakfast. Staff polite. Nobody in reception. Earplugs issued to light sleepers when music on in bar
Staff were very friendly and helpfull, food was excellant and very reasonably priced, Shower room was very small
The couple had just taken over this hotel the day before we arrived. Their service and dedication were second to none. They were so friendly and welcoming. Bathroom rather run down. Would still stay again though.
The breakfast was good and the staff were friendly Standard of rooms were very poor. Needs complete renovation and updating. Very noisy due to the bar being open until 1am with live music. Very over priced considering the quality of accomodation.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. The new owners were really friendly and made us feel very welcome. They are in the process of renovating the hotel but in the interim, it is still clean, comfortable with an excellent breakfast. There is free wifi and plenty help and information on the local area readily available.I will definitely stay here again, reasonably priced accommodation and very central.
Friendly staff, particularly enjoyed jam session
Friendly atmosphere, lovely log fire, good food (dinner and breakfast).
This is a comfortable, friendly country hotel - offering a good level of service for its size. We felt very welcome and nothing was too much trouble for the owners - who were consistently cheerful and helpful. We would definitely return.
Comfortable, friendly, peaceful, scenic views Bathroom modernisation required
Lovely Victorian Period Hotel with family run homely feeling. Excellent service and good value for money.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel had a lot of character. It was also very comfortable, and cleaned and maintained to a very high standard. The facilities were excellent.
Ambience of hotel good. Quite convenient for Aviemore and Cairngorm without the bustle of Aviemore. No radio in room and poor TV reception. Room quite small.
It was a comfortable and clean hotel with good food, albeit a limited dinner menu. The staff were helpful and easy going. I thought it was a little overpriced for what it was i.e. one very large room. I think for the price I might have expected adjoining rooms on reflection.
Location Food-a big disappointment, poor quality, poor service. not good value. would be happy to pay to get good quality. room did not lock-worried re security. bath/shower was cool, lights did not work properly
Location, surrounding countryside. Quality of bed.
Staff can't do enough for you. Amazing views
