The staff were very friendly and helpful. The decor was good and the atmosphere relaxed.
Lovely inn in beautiful countryside. Really quaint and full of character. Bedroom was excellent and very comfortable, quiet too even though it was on a main road. Food was good both restaurant and breakfast.
The friendly staff The shower was not very good. it had no power
Bar and outdoor spaces are nice. Rooms at the front of the hotel are next to quite a busy road so are subject to quite a bit of traffic noise.
Very friendly staff, lovely rooms, great location. The website does not do it justice!
The food was exceptionally good.
It was close to Westonbirt where we were seeing a concert. Needs updating, the room was quite tired looking
The staff were great.
well appointed room
Great location for city. Room on sixteenth floor with floor to ceiling window and amazing view. Pleasant room. Staff very friendly and helpful. Reasonably good breakfast buffet. Gym poorly equipped.
Well located on Broad Quay, close to Bristol waterfront, good restaurants within walking distance, walkable to main shpppoing district of Bristol. We booked two rooms, one for 3 people, the other for 2. The hotel placed the extra bed in by far the smaller of the two rooms and the rooms were six floors apart. The larger room, although very comfortable, absolutely stank of cigarette smoke. We were oiffered a small discount on checkout, but this should have been picked up by housekeeping and the room not allocated.
Public areas spacious, breakfast good. Lifts not working, poor lighting in room, food left in corridor - not worthy of a hotel in this category.
Brand new hotel so overall facilities were impressive. Room was large with excellent views. Good sized bathroom. Lifts not all working so long delays going up to 11th floor. Some of fittings in bedroom badly designed E.G. flexible light next to bed had already worked loose, wardrobe door wouldn't open fully due to hitting room door closer.
Good sized rooms - clean and well cared for None
Central situation in Bristol, proximity with the airport in Stansed Stupid customer occasioned fire alarm at 4 am!!!!
The location near the river. Perhaps a little difficult to locate by car! Unfortunately the heating wasn't working on the 1st floor where my room was allocated. No-one offered a heater of any kind and it was extremely cold weather. I had to request milk as there was non available in the room to make a drink when I arrived after a long journey.
Large bed, nice view, new room.
Very central, excellent location for shopping! The hotel andcommunal areas are clean and stylish. Check in staff were very pleasant. the room was clean and stylish, the bed extremely comfortable. the view from the floor to ceiling windows give a great view over the city (15th floor) and make for a very light and bright room. None.
I asked for a quiet room... I got it. Reception staff extremely efficient and friendly and professional. I liked the colours in the bedroom, appreciated having a bath .. useful in a city to relax.. and beds were comfy. car park was a bit tight with pillars, but I was glad to have it!!
Nice, relaxed and contemporary feel Hotel bar shut at 11pm, even for guests. This should be improved
The pool was an added bonus and the size of the room was excellent, much nicer in comparison to other Bristol hotels.
We have stayed here before and wanted to come back. Unfortunately this time the room was a bit shabby.
Good comfortable hotel in a very conveinient location for visiting local family, eateriers and city centre.
Central hotel. Club rooms very comfortable. Staff very pleasant.
Nice quiet location very close to everything. The rooms were spacious and clean. Nice size bathroom too. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The food in the bar was delicious. I would definitely recommend this hotel. After a night out on the town, i returned to find i had no electricity in my room. But the next morning i informed the staff who were very apologetic and they sorted the problem out quickly.
An excellent well proportioned room that offered comfort and space. It was also within walking distance of the shopping area.
the beds where really comfortable the only thing i had against it which I dont think you can do anything about, is that the room smelled like stale spit, which my husband thinks is the glue that holds the wood panels on the headboards etc.
Great bathrooms! Flexible on check in time which was useful for us as we were attending a wedding later that afternoon. Extensive selection for breakfast. Rooms could be slightly larger and not so cramped with furniture.
spa + breakfast carpets in room could be cleaner
the spa, gym and pool is ver very good - although the treatments are pricey Being charged 5 pounds for parking having spent 500 pounds for a 1 night stay
Spa and Hydrotherapy facilities Room dirty on arrival, inexperienced resteraunt staff, limited menu.
The bedroom, the spa and the restaurant. I had been at this hotel before. This time I was given a bedroom in the Garden Floor. This floor looks dated and the bedrooms are not as nice as the ones in other floors so I requested to be moved to another bedroom, which the hotel kindly granted me.
The location is great - outside but still 10 mins to the centre.
It was a most pleasant place to stay, staff were friendly, helpfull and non invasive. No
Beautiful views over Bath. Superb spa facilities. Sumptuous bathroom. Standard double bed was inufficient for the price/quality of the hotel. A king size should have been standard. Neither of us got much sleep due to lack of space, which is a poor outcome for a hotel advertising itself as luxurious and relaxing.
the kindness shown to us after we complained by Byron Fiddler, Reception manager the attitude of Charlotte the receptionist who was extremely rude to us on arrival and the weather! it was very cold in the room.
Particularly liked the use of the spa facilities and the quiet room We hoped for internet access in the room but this did not work and was not fixed although we were told it would be
The leisure facilities are excellent and setting is beautiful. The cost of the food and drink were excessive
very comfortable, very friendly staff. Clean.
The standard of room quality and nearness the Cabot's Circus Shopping Centre. would be great if it had a Spa or small swimming pool (somewhere to relax).
Big bed and big breakfast.....even if the breakfast was over priced. No
Very impressed, nice new facilities, very spaceous room and bathroom, very clean, towels smelt nice, free parking was excellent. Very slight confusion of parking arrangements / how to get to car park.
The free parking was a big bonus as well as being in the centre of town When we googled the hotel postcode, we were sent to the precinct
The room was spacious, very clean and modern as was the bathroom and separate toilet which was great! everything was good
Very welcoming and close to shops
helpfulness of staff
very clean, new nice beds, good location for the station, friendly receptionist pillows too thick
Everything was fine at Future Inn.
Nothing I would not stay there ever again The hotel room was dirty the towels were all stained and the waiter in the breakfast room was extremely rude. I complained to receptionist about his attitude
A bit run down for the price - very tired decor. Expected that for a 3 star, but paid a lot for what it was. Decor - dreadful!
The central location No parking so therefore I had to move my car from a car park @ 08:00hrs. Also rooms very small and very warm.
Nothing I thought it was hugely ovepriced. I might just about have been satisfied at half the price. Our room was ok but was in the basement and looked out on a poorly maintained wall. The heating had not been turned on even though the outside temperature was below zero and it was snowing. We had to queue for breakfast on both mornings.
Very friendly staff, clean comfortable rooms, fantastic modern bathrooms, central location, delicious breakfast. Right near a very busy bus drop off, but the hotel itself was surprisingly quiet and always very easy to access.
It was very convenient to see the attractions Having to pay for parking.
It was in a very convenient location and friendly staff The hotel does not have a car park
central locality. Comfortable rooms
The location was perfect for my stay in Bath, and the room and standard in general of the hotel again was good. The only meal i had was not that good(pork loin).I was unable to book breakfast because i had made my reservation on line and assumed that it was inclusive.I was then told it depended when i booked on line as to the cost of ordering a breakfast.I gave up and went to a very pleasent cafe.
The location of the hotel I did not like the fact that at a particular time in the evening and in the morning there was a loud ding kind of noise.
Its location.The bathroom was excellent.
The location was excellent and the htel looked very plush. The overpriced breakfast and overpriced guest car parking.
Dinner in Palm Court, food and service was excellent
The hotel was really lovely, as was our room. Great location. Will certainly go back again.
The staff were extremely friendly and the suite was a perfect size for two adults and one baby. None
Staff in the main were friendly. Once needs were made known they were promptly acted on. Room check should insure that essentials such as toilet rolls are in place after each room service. Desk staff need to finalise business with you before moving to the next customer. At check out the person just walked away before I signed the bill form and I had to ask another desk staff person if the hotel needed the signed form.
The second room we were given was very spacious and comfortable. The hotel was well located. Checkout was efficient and fast. We were initially given a room with no heating. The thermostat was going to be replaced but this had not yet happened. The weather was very cold and it was not satisfactory to be put in a room with no heating. After speaking with check in staff they confirmed room had no heating but moved us to another room which was warm and very comfortable. We were surprised that at the end of autumn in the uk there were rooms that were being booked out with no suitable heating.
breakfast was good but slow on the poached eggs On arrival the bathroom floor appeared not to have been cleaned.
The staff were attentive, polite and very pleasant and the meal that we had in the palm court restaurant was of exellent quality and value. A shame that there was a charge for parking.
The evening meal was delicious and our waitress was very pleasant.
Staff were excellent as was the food. Hotel lovely and we used the Spa. There is no car park on site but we parked in the ncp car park next to the hotel. You have to pay £11 a night.
Good value for money Really nothing
Courteous staff. Clean Meals in restaurant over priced
The staff was very courteous kind friendly they met my needs the facility was well kept (clean) I can't find anything to complain about except not enough tv stations that we could view without paying
Freindly staff, hotel very clean and tidy. Location was perfect for Cabots Circus and centre of town for bars and shops. Great atmopshere. I liked everything. Only small comment maybe is to have 2 robes in the room not just 1!
Location was absolutely great and spa facility was ideal just to relax in the middle of the hussle and bustle of it all
What i liked was the fact that I was able to take my to girls swimming in a very nice, clean environment, have a nice meal and then spend time shopping/sightseeing in Bristol with a hotel in such a great and central location.
Good location and very clean modern room that was very comfortable.
Swimming pool and spa area was perfect for relaxing. Also, hotel location is perfect for Broadmead Shopping area
The bed was very comfortable. It was very expensive for what you got.
The bed was very comfortable. No hot chocolate or earl grey tea in the room.
being near cathedral and harbourside for the money paid breakfast should be included and very tight on tea and coffee and no biscuits
Straightforwards hotel, good restaurant and service friendly and efficient. We have used Ibis many times before and you know what you are getting.Very reliable. The bed was uncomfortable and hard.
The friendliness of the staff and cleanliness of the room. I would have liked to be guided to my room but instead left to wander around corridors.
It was very easy to walk to any part of the main shopping centre close to some very good restraunts Hotel had no parking and a very strange relationship with the ncp car park
Central location. Convenient for car parks. Breakfast had good selection and was hot. Coffee especially good. Not enough towels provided
Functional. Your know what you get The noise isolation between the rooms is poor. I had a lot of noise from the neighbouring rooms and hammway
Suprised when able to check into my room at 9.30am when only asking if I could leave my luggage Suprised when apple juice in both machines was empty at 8am sunday morning, but it was filled immediately and a glass brought to me.
The hotel was clean and tidy. Everything in the room worked. The hotel is effectively screened to block mobile phone reception. The machine coffee and limited breakfast options were disappointing.
Very good location with easy access to shops and eateries Too basic and noisy
The location. The room had obviously not been checked to ensure adequate heating, lighting, adequate curtains and working telephone apparatus.
Lack of internet connection services and small room
The hotel was lovely. At arrival the lady at the reception was very nice and welcoming. She (same lady) was also very kind and friendly on the day I was leaving. Both nights at the bar downstairs the staff was very friendly and professional. This actually saved my weekend. I have got a premier room which was very good size, however it was very cold! Being there in October i would've thought the heating would be on. So unfortunately it was very uncomfortable and on the other downside, the water wasn't hot in the bathroom! So it was a very cold weekend for me. Also 2 out of the 3 lamps didn't work (the 2 bedside ones -which is a shame as I like to read in bed), in fact their power plugs were different style than the standard UK ones so I wondered how they plug them in anyway?? And the last thing, which is i know not the hotel's fault, but it was quite upsetting as both nights I stayed, my nextdoor guests were constantly drunk and very loud till 4-5am! So all together unfortunately it wasn't a relaxing weekend.
Clean, nice location
Helpful staff, location
Great location. Real coffee in the room would be great, not instant. Ask for a room away from Hen Parties and music.
front desk people were very helpful. great location can't think of anything
very good location for city centre In one room none of the power sockets worked, in another the toilet seat wasn't fixed on. when we complained the staff were very unhelpful. Very few good english speaking staff
Good quality, central for Bristol. It was not an easy hotel to stay at. Examples, car park was complexed, door card cleared iteself at 11am (check out 12), gym was across road.
Very comfortable bed unqualified staff - there were party in the rooms all the night impossible to sleep.
soft wide bed thin walls to corridor, so noisy late revellers disturbed us. Hotel staff did reproach them though, so not their fault.
it's central Absolutely awful night, sent to very shabby single room right above function rooms. party below so loud the furniture in the room vibrated until 1am. Then at 7am neighbours put tv on clearly audible through paper thin walls. worst night I have ever spent in a hotel.
Very nice location in the old part of the city centre. The hotel is cosy and well-functioning. There was a minibar in the room but it was both empty and locked. I asked could it be opened in order to put there some juice for the morning but that was not possible, since "the locks don't open very well". I suggest the minibars should be removed if they don't serve any purpose...
Good parking in central Bristol. The late breakfast buffet up to midday on Sunday. Comfortable rooms. The swimming pool area and changing rooms are quiet small. Not quiet as nice as expected based on other hotels we have visited with leisure facilities..
the bar The staff at the check in desk seemed poorly trained, they didn't acknowledge the person checking in if they werwe waiting, it would have been nice for somebody to sya, I'll be with you in a momment.
When we first arrived some of the night staff was not welcoming , but the day staff were excellent, a lot of information was not given to us when we booked in it was the day staff that inform us of what we need to know.
Everything was fine.
very comfortable bed!! good menu selection in the restaurant bathroom too small, lack of drawers in bedroom
Nothing stands out Incredibly over priced. Facilities no better than a travelodge but at double the price. The bed moved all over the place. The shower was a slow trickle. Rubbish.
easy check in and check out. food was good bathroom could do with updating.Having to pay for television even regular channels
Location Lounge was very cold at times, no saucers with tea cups felt cheap. Beds/pillows were bit uncomfortable. Customers staying at the hotel should not have to pay £5 per day for Parking,
The guy who answered the phone to the restaurant was very cheery and helpful. Found it hard to find, when we put the postcode in the satnav it showed 'no route found'. This could be an effect of not updating satnav. When we found it eventually, I walked through the entrance near the restaurant, not knowing where the reception was I tried to ask the 2 two doormen who had their bodies facing me but heads turned to each other. I had to wait whilst they finished their conversation before they greeted and directed me. Didn't give good first impression. The reception was frustrating. We had booked a smoking room and were told that there were no more smoking rooms. The receptionist found this funny as he kept laughing and mumbling to himself. When we got in the room there was a 2" thick line of dust and dirt around the edge
The bed was very comfortable and the room was cleaner than i expected for such a large hotel.
The imac facility in the rooms is first rate and definately a cut above most Distance from main centre
easy to find and close to town
The rooms were very modern
The friendliness and efficiency of the staff, the facilities in the room (iMac), the quality of the choice at breakfast I find the prices a bit steep at certain times for a single traveller (often nearly £100 a day). There seems to be an assumption that all customers will be couples or friends sharing a twin room and there is no reduction for single occupancy of a double room. I would ask the hotel to consider this.
Staff were very helpfull. If returning late to the hotel the car park was often full and I had to park elsewhere.
Staff were friendly. Hotel room was lovely. Very quiet. It was difficult to find the hotel car park. It could be better signposted. Otherwise everything good.
Clean modern hotel. The rooms were much smaller than expected, as were the breakfasts.
Liked the rooms also room service prices for wine was not to bad. Would stay at the City Inn Bristol again Charge for parking
The young lady on reception was very friendly and helpful The lift was broken - other guests warned us not to use it
The bedrom was brilliant and had everyone you could need and so comfortable the corridoors, general foyer etc very clinical not 'warm/cosy'
Modern decor Thin walls and doors.
Reception staff and parking facilities I was extremely dissapointed by the qaulity of my room, the cleanliness and general condition of the facilities. The hotel is out dates and far beneath what I would expect from the Hilton brand. I stay in hotels all over the world and this simply does not measure up on any level.
The city of bath is fantastic Nothing
Clean and roomy. Nothing!
The location in the city centre couldn't have been better. Nice views of the river from the restaurant. Helpful staff.
Convenient location for Bath amenities. We were going to Theatre Royal, and the Hilton is just a 5 - 10 minute walk away We were attracted by the Parking under the hotel - and this was easy to find. We were not told it would cost us £17 however !
The staff. All were polite, efficient, very well trained and took the time to make you feel welcome - despite being busy. They took a pride in their job. The sound proofing in the basic rooms was not very good, so if you wanted to sleep on a bit in the morning it would have been very difficult. We were there to make the best of a couple of days in Bath, so it suited us.
Well located to get around the city center and clean and comfortable . Staff we had contact with very pleasant Cost of parking
Absolutely abysmal It took 35 mins to check in because your company fax the reservations through on Saturday morning to an unused office that nobody on the check in desk knew anything about
location initial confusion about reservation
The customer service was superb. Front desk and concierge so friendly and nice. Location is perfect for exploring Bath. We had our infant son with us and they were very accomodating. All was great- no complaints
Hard to reach if you do not have a car
the staff were very friendly and attentive and the room was very clean and tidy
Location was very good Use of space in hotel room was not the best ie. 3 chairs in a moderately sized room seemed excessive.
Staff all very helpful and friendly
very pleasant stay. parking was a bit challenging, no lift
Warm and friendly welcome The bed was very hard
We were welcomed by the manager, who then went out of his way to be helpful with information about the locallity, and to make sure we had everything we needed (as an example, he provided a wide choice of herbal teas). Excellent breakfast.
Nice decor well kept, felt like a 4 star hotel. Owners were very nice and service was excellent.
This is an immaculate bed and breakfast, everything is of the highest quality. we would highly recommend this hotel for anyone It is a 10 minute walk into Bath, but worth it to stay at this hotel. we took a cab back at night as to hilly to walk but and it wasnt dear, so no negative really
Everything was of a high quality on a small scale. The rooms and presentation of the hotel create a relaxing atmosphere. Lovely drawing room to sit in and plan the day ahead,or to simply look out over the garden. The breakfast was in quantities that would satisfy any traveller, with plenty of choice if a full english breakfast is not your preference. It is close to Bath as described and they provide plenty of brochures for 'things to do' and restaurant ideas if you do not know Bath, very useful in our case. All in all a very tranquil place to stay.
Comfortable enough, with unexpected necessities included such as magnifying mirror in the bathroom to comfortably put make up on. Nice firm bed and soft pillows. I would recommend it to friends and family traveling through Bristol for its awesome centric location with river front view. I did not like the fact that breakfast is not already included at that price. It was a terrible racket noise coming from the above floors in the early hours that woke us up, bit uncomfortable considering I was looking forward to a longer sleep in.
Upgrade for £10 to Superior room with riverside views and little extras TV in bathrooms, bathrobes, also some fab dining near by made weekend really special Nothing
Comfortable clean room
Location, Rate, helpfullness of staff, style of room and bathroom Thought price of breakfast quite expensive
housekeeping staff receptionists waiters and waitresses all very nice
Beautiful room in a beautiful hotel! Very modern and comfortable, the bathroom was exquisite with a lovely big bath. We were supplied with massive dressing gowns too. Nice big tv, very comfortable bed. Lovely bar area downstairs.
perfect hotel, perfect location, perfect for everything
The room was nice, great to have both shower and bath. Reasonably good tv and channels, location was great - near all the best riverside bars and restaurants. Parking was very expensive (£19 for up to 24 hrs). Woke up to the builders from the site next door throwing concrete down a shute, not great. Toiletries very average.
breakfast was good and good value the blankets were a bit tired
The building and layout, Orangery serving breakfast, the grounds. Room where too hot, perhaps some instruction as to how to turn down/off heating.
Staff, food and location
excellent food, good service, staff willing to help when required, overall one of the best hotels we have stayed in and will stay again. could do with a little more signs to reception, as we got lost several times and met others that were lost.
This is the second time we have stayed here and we were not disapointed, still the same level of comfort,, location is ideal for Gloucester shopping and we love the pool. Maybe next time we will try the Gym!
good spa facilities Have stayed here many times but has gone downhill, tired room, shocking breakfast in the room, and very poor food in the Moreton's restaurant. Some staff v good some v bad.
Visited Bath and the Cheddar Gorge Food could have been better but for the price we paid very reasonable
The surrounding area was absolutely beautiful. The inside of the hotel was very well done and felt very relaxed. I loved all the nooks and different paths going round the hotel which led you to explore the hotel. Unfortunately the gym was very hot - made it almost unbearable for me to work out. I think the changing rooms could also do with a revamp. Separate ladies showers would be nice.
grounds and building Three weddings in two nights involved overcrowding and unacceptable noise at night
A very impressive hotel, beautiful surroundings and grounds. Standard of food was superb. We stayed in a standard room just away from the main hotel building but the standard room was like an executive room in some other hotels I have stayed at, spacious, clean and warm. We stayed db&b and ate in the Morton Restaurant the menu did have supplements I have to say, but they were not in my opinion excessive, especially considering the standard of the food. Prices were expensive in the bar, and on a par with the Portsmouth Gunwharf - about £10 for a lager and large wine. But unless you really want to drink to excess, considering the standard of the hotel then not too bad really, and certain a little cheaper than some in London. The only other small issue that was quickly rectified was the incorrect billing, but mistakes happen and obviously for you to check before leaving. We really enjoyed our stay and we will definately return again in the near future. This has to be one of my favourite hotels in the Cotswold.
