The resort was absolutely beautiful! I can't say enough about how friendly the staff were too. Our room was very nice, with a view of the ocean where we could watch the sunset every night. The pool area is great, as is the beach. Highly recommend this resort for a great place to relax and rejuvenate! The food was quite pricey. The buffet is well worth it but the quality/portion sizes of the pool-side food were not worth the price.
I absolutely loved everything about it. It's not exactly cheap but it's well worth having a splurge and staying there. I couldn't fault it. Nothing to say.
Great location on beach and easy to get to after arriving by longboat.A very good breakfast with fantastic view.Good friendly service. Room needed a small table and chairs, and also not comfortable to watch TV. Not really deluxe as compared to similar priced hotels on Phi Phi or Ao Nang.
The accommodation was amazing ( i stayed in a deluxe bungalow) and in wonderful surrondings. The resort has been thoughtfully designed for the guests comfort. Two pools, the second of which is not near the beach and is much quieter. The staff were brilliant and always helpful. I recommend that you use the hotel airport transfer service to avoid a long walk accross the beach with your luggage. West Railay beach is beautiful and stunning location. No negative points to report - I had a wonderful stay
Railay is the wonderful place. We enjoyed our holidays there. Thai massage is the best in Railay Bay Resort&Spa. A lot of boats near swimming area.
Location, room was ok, restaurant was better than others at railay beach Staff were poorly trained, unattentive and did not care about guests. Service in restaurant was slow. Hotel feels old, and expensive for what you get. Beach gets very noisy during day as boats come from Au nang
They were so rude that I was a single American female traveler even though I'm very polite. They over charged me 100 US dollars, that I now have to deal with when I get home. That's a lot in Thailand! Rooms weren't that cleaned. Pretty sure the "day bed" had bed bugs. Hated this Hotel!
The view, the beach, the pool and my room's outdoor shower. The bed was very hard and the ac in my room sounded like a jet plane.
The location was amazing. There was a terrible smell of sewage. Once we kept the fan on for a while in the bathroom it would go away. But because the electricity goes off when you remove the room key it smelled for a while when ever we returned to the room.
nearby shopping area, easy to get HALAL food, lots of muslim in Krabi, good surroundings, lots of spa nearby internet connection was expensive 30 min for 100baht, not free, because it was raining season, reserved for a standard bungalow nearer to the beach instead got a room nearby the swimming pool. The reason i reserve a room there was to get a room nearby the beach. Hotel needs to refurbish, quite old.
Hotel has got a very good location, bugalows are located within great garden and hotel has also their own beach, city center is just behind the corner with the great access to shops, bars and restaurants Bungalows are very basic, not relevant to the price. Breakfast was the same for all 7 days of our stay - though food was OK. Lack of attractions for kids. In summery I would expect a bit better standard for this price but in general hotel is worth further recommendations for families without kids.
The hotel was very clean and the facilities are so good
excellent hotel, big rooms and good breakfast, location was excellent.
Proximity to the beach, restaurants and shopping area None
The staff at the hotel were great and they upgraded us when we had noisy neighbours. tHE location is fabulous. THE hotel is quite run down in parts. tHERE was quite dodgy electrics - wires hanging out in the garden etc and the plumbing was ordinary. tHE toilets in both rooms smelled constantly and there were open drains besides the COTTAGES.iT could be a fabulous place with a bit of upgrading. I have marked that I would not recommend - but I probably would suggest it's a great location but to be careful about which rooms you book.
It was a perfect getaway for me. I wanted to be away from the bustling crowds and immerse myself into a time of relaxation. The spa was nothing to shout about, but the location of the resort itself made it one of the best holidays I've had. The deserve every star of the five star rating they have been given. Friendly staff who know you by name, go all out to ensure your stay is pleasant. I'll definitely go back for more.
Great hotel for families.
Absolutely stunning views from balcony, staff were excellent, lovely pools etc. room was not available on arrival and so we ended up having to downgrade. The manager said it was the fault of booking.com - as he didnt receive the booking in time for our arrival. Also very difficult to get to, so quite isolated. Monkeys and big hill walk to get anywhere, as shuttle boat doesnt always run.
In general, this hotel is basically more suitable for those who craves for serenity and relaxing moments. Me and my husband booked for Spa Deluxe Sea view with outdoor jacuzzi, and we got the best room location. The view frm our balcony is really breath-taking. The hotel staff even surprised us with some extra welcome romantic deco and anniversary cake because it was our anniversary trip. I'm very happy and impressed with the room that we stayed in. The only set back is the location of the htl a bit inconvenient for shopping activity, and the food in the hotel is rather expensive with a poor quality. Dining-out would be the better choice. The htl provides a shuttle boat every 2hrs (depends on the tide) to go to Ao nang town which is good -I would say the quality of the food in the hotel restaurants is rather a disappointment with that kind of price. The buffet breakfast is good, but can be better. The customer service staff is not as friendly as they should be
staff were very polite and helpful, beautiful location restaurants expensive, not enough shuttle boats to mainland
I loved everything about this wonderful resort. It is a paradise indeed. Nothing. Everything was just perfect.
everything, the landscape was fantastic. very, very nice place no
The location was amazing and the staff tried extra hard to be helpful and friendly. We were surprised to find the resort needed refurbishment, and the rooms were a bit worn. We upgraded to a pool villa which was in much better condition. The comparison between the rooms and villas made all the difference.
The kindness services from the staff and the stunning view from our room. Great hotel/resort for a relaxing holiday.
I liked the location on a semi private beach. The hotel is eco friendly and melts into the backdrop of mountains and palm trees I did not like the rather surly unsmiling and unfriendly attitude of a number of staff members. I did not like the mix up over my room allocation as having paid for a sea view deluxe room I was initially allocated a room with nil sea view.which wasted my time in changing rooms. The departure transportation was not well arranged with insufficient information given to us.
Beautiful beach! The best! The junior suites are a little older and musty.
the staff was very friendly! it was no problem to upgrade to a superior room (with air condition, a lot nicer than the "basic room").
The West Railay Beach makes this resort. It's magnificent!
The location on West Railay is excellent The standard of the room was low and needed some updating
Amazing room, cleanliness, staff was nice, right on the beach, good wifi It was very cheap for the quality by USD standards, but hotels on the east side that are pretty comparable can be found for much cheaper and just a slightly longer walk from the beach.
As far as the location this was a great deal. You definitely want to be on West Railay. East is cheaper, but it smells a bit like an open sewer. We were just a minute walk from the beach with access to two pools, a tasty buffet breakfast and easy access to the other parts of the peninsula. No complaints!
We liked the hotel, we had a great time there. We were undecided but this is the cheapest hotel on the West Coast on Railay (which is the one you want to be staying at). Decent value or money although the facilities are a little old but it does the job and it is conveniently located and staff is pleasant and promptly responsive. We booked for one night but we ended up staying for 3 nights. The massage at the hotel is of a great quality, the best I had in Thailand on this trip. I did not quite understand the choice of placing a pond of singing frogs right in the middle of the passageway to the beach, they were really loud at night. but otherwise no complaints.
Management and front desk extremely attentive. So kind. Amazing nice rooms. Clean. Comfortable bed and room. Modern rooms. Beautiful. Nice nice nice staff. Spacious. Lovely. Off the beaten path so a long walk to vacation tour booking kiosks. Instead of the hotel booking it for you to help with this inconvenience, they double the price and profit more off the booking. Shouldn't one try and assist the customer by making the reservations at cost as a courtesy to outweigh the imbalance and distance. That's taking advantage of your clients, not taking care of your clients. Also wifi is awful and no hot water. Not on beach. Restaurant staff was awful and in attentive. Food average. Eat down the street. Staff can't speak English at all.
Fantastic food, gym,ATM,helpful and friendly staff, great location, I will come back !! Nothing bad to say !
Staff was unable to communicate or provide resolution to a very simple issue. Was told no refund and no room provided (they only had "upgraded" rooms for double the price), despite their booking issue. This type of service would never fly in other parts of the world, here it was not only all they would do but they laughed about it on our way out. Location is poor compared to many others around and is very expensive comparatively, both of which I can live with, but the extremely poor service of the night manager was unacceptable.
The staff was generally very friendly. The location is away from busy street and quiet, which I was looking for. (It is not hotel's fault that in room next to ours, some drunken fool got home at 3am and then started yelling into his phone for 30 minutes... Unfortunately, inconsiderate idiots like our "neighbor" are going on vacations, too). Despite my "complaints" below, I enjoyed our stay. If below's issues were fixed I would rate it a 5 star instead of a 4 star. At start of breakfast time restaurant is understaffed, hence one waits for coffee, etc. After about 8am sufficient staff is present and helpful. One thing I did not like is that no late checkout (just an hour later than normal, at 1pm) was not granted, due to "being fully booked". I have spent 150-200 nights every year in hotels (since about 1997) and know that such a request can be honored, no matter how fully booked it is. Check in is at 2pm ... gives staff a full hour to clean the room... I don't remember the last time when a late checkout request has not been accomodated. Wifi in room is too slow. Charging 60% MORE for airport transfer than a (clean) taxi (800 baht vs 500 baht) is a little unreasonable, I think.
Pool and breakfast was good. Rooms were cleaned adequately. The room descriptions online were somewhat deceiving. The beyond cabins were pretty much a cinderblock cell very isolated from the rest of the resort. The room constantly smelled of raw sewage. The location is very isolated without many dining / shopping options.
The pool and the view were amazing. The trip to the airport was an adventure (truck, speedboat, golf car and taxi). The staff makes us wait a long time for the room.
Really nice hotel
Quartos lindos, modernos e aconchegantes.
nice little hotel, quite large standard room, very nice location, nice garden, friendly people breakfast is very poor
we have had a very nice time
The pool area was good for adults and kids, the rooms were nice and the staff very good. Cocktails at pool bar average
The swimming pool is great and rooms were very comfortable. Staff were attentive and helpful. Breakfast is very good. A bit too family friendly - children always using the business centre and also children were welcomed in the "bar" where they were always singing karoke - which makes it not an appealing place for adults to go to have a drink and socially mix. The beach directly in front of the hotel is very disappointing.
Luxury hotel with modern style. Very newly built. Very nice spacious clean -luxury rooms (especially that with the pool access). Nice beach but you have to cross the road to get there. At the beginning of silent district 5min walk to Ao Nang beach.
Such a relaxing place!
spacious room, friendly staff, contemporary design none
Probably the best located hotel in Ao Nang.I love the hotel surrouding and features. Near the sea. Look very modern. It has a small beatiful garden. What I like the most of the hotel is the swimming pool. I can see the green garden and it feels so comfortable, relax away from city and they have another small one for my baby. The room is spacious too!.
Sala Talay is a contemporary designed hotel in a quiet location yet close to all amenities. The staff were all very friendly and courteous. Breakfast and dinner were excellent. At checkin they wanted to upgrade us to the pool side room, however we did not like the lack of privacy, so they upgraded us to grand deluxe room instead, which was great. Would not recommend the pool side room unless you are traveling with children. Rooms lack privacy, but are great for kids who can jump straight in to the pool.
Everything! Es ist das schönste Hotel in Ao Nang. Absolut super!!!
location is good, close to Ao Nang town Breadfast is so poor; Washroom in our room has odour smelling; reques to delay the check out till 2pm as flight is at night, but the receptionist refused us, actually many rooms were empty
The hotel staff were superb at the hotel - always polite and helpful. The rooms were very spacious and luxurious.
Great time at rayavadee! Strongly recommend. Incredible kindness of the employees very high level of service. Rooms are not rooms but beautiful villas, perfectly marrying the local style charm and modern comfort. Be aware that the beach is open to other people and it can be quite busy! You have your private area with your sunbed towels water though. But the access to the sea is not private only part of the beach is. We stayed at the pool which is awesome. Great restaurants especially the thai restaurant is awesome. Generally great experience! No
the calmness and the beautiful nature the mosquitos
most hospitable staff that i have come across anywhere and a view of the sea out of this world
Amazing boutique hotel. Friendly staff. Service with a smile. Breakfast was good but not fantastic. And would prefer a flat screen tv in the room.
Friendly staff, hotel clean, close to the beach, good restaurants, it really was 5 star. The hotel is fairly quite and a little way out but they do run a shuttle service to other towns.
Very nice settings and surrounding that generate a very nice view at the sea and islands. The food And drinks are of good quality
The private beach and exclusiveness of the hotel but that also mean it's pretty far from other F&B outlets, town etc. As above
Staff and facilities were great. Can reccommend the thai cooking course at the resort!
Hotel is very beautiful and room is very clean Location is far away from the town. Breadfast has not too much choices.
Beautiful hotel in the tropical forest with marvellous beach and sea -- like a paradise, excellent service and very comfortable rooms. We liked all, everything. Guys in the beach are very attentive. Bellini restaurant as well as Lotus serve very good food. Mind-relaxing massage in spa is amazing! Would be nice to have manicure in spa. One free shuttle to Ao Nang at 4 pm might be not enough.
Friendly staff, great with our young kids, good service at the restaurants and the food was quite good. Amazing breakfast buffet. Loved the toy box for kids by the kiddie pool. Great view of the ocean and sea stacks from the beach. Happy hour at the Sunset Lounge is a great deal! Good wifi for free. Property is a little dated, could use a remodel soon. Rooms smelled slightly mildewy. The location is a little secluded, so for day trips you have to take a taxi to Ao Nang pier, about 20 minutes (and $3USD per person each way), then a long tail boat from there. The pool seems a little corroded. There were stone seats in the pool that were too rough to sit on because of corrosion. The elephant fountains at the pool weren't working. Pool chairs are VERY close together and there aren't many so you have to scramble to get one. Would have liked a free taxi from the airport. As it was, the hotel was going to charge more than a regular taxi, so we opted to hire our own driver from the airport.
This hotel offered the utmost relaxation. It's location is secluded and perfect for people (like us) who wanted to get away from it all. The staff were very attentive and friendly. They offered personalized service. Nothing.
