5.0 Okay
Pros: The view from the breakfast place is amazing. There are also good activities for kids.
Cons: The room smelled AWFUL. It made me feel so light headed after a while. I’m so glad we did not stay more than one night. The hotel also isn’t super helpful with arranging taxis.
7.0 Good
Pros: - View is spectacular, kids club and activities was perfect.
Cons: - The food (Chicken) was a bit raw both Dinner and Breakfast. I had complained to the staff but no action e.g change with the new Chicken was offered. - The FO staff did not help us to take and put the luggage to our car (during checkout). They just watched us without asking any assistance.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Amazing hotel, with breathtaking views, amazing staff and activities.
Cons: Not a huge drawback but be aware it is 25 min away from Bedugul.
5.5 Okay
Pros: The views
Cons: The bathroom pipe smell really bad. And transport price were too expense ( we manage to find a taxi half price across the street). It requiere more mantenance in general.
7.5 Good
Pros: It has a very nice view and perfect setting not too far up to Bedugul. So if you go from Ubud, it’s still reachable. The villa is beautiful and cozy.
Cons: I stayed in the villa which needs a buggy to go to the restaurant or swimming pool, it took us a while yo wait for the buggy to drive us back to our room, so time was wasted waiting. I would suggest to pick villa 1-6 so you can just walk instead of 7-9 which is in the upper area. The restaurant is not so nice, when i stayed there for a honeymoon with my husband, there were a huge group staying, so my experience was a bit strange at the restaurant. The staffs were not friendly they thought we were with the group and somehow they treated us bad. The yoga class is nice, but maybe need to get a real yoga instructor instead of just a random person who also arrange events and do music.
7.0 Good
Pros: Loves the view, loves the breakfast
Cons: They don't react to my complaints, room not clean, smell musty, no welcome fruits or welcome letter on arrival.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: very fresh air and naturist location
6.8 Good
Pros: Quite and all room with pool, rice terrace and mountain view. Variety of breakfast
Cons: This hotel look tired and need regular maintenance regularly. Public area cleanliness need to improve. Cob web, dusty, dirty. Kid's club still dirty in the morning (seem like when the kid's club close no one clean rhis area) There are rusry stain on our sheet and duvet cover, dirty under curtain behind wooden sofa, water mark on balcony glass, cob web on balcony ceiling and moldy on the grouting behind us when use shower room. Housekeeping equipment and storage need to review. Plate and glass after room service still in front of the room until the next day. Cleanliness garden need to improve.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The views are spectacular
Cons: Too many trainees making the breakfast with not enough experience
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Sightseeing, high class luxury hotel which is good for families, relaxing, swimming and many other things

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Best hotel in Indonesia so far!!! Such a beautiful and peaceful place, staff friendly and very welcoming, rooms clean and super beautiful, amazing view! I recommend his place 100%!!!
Cons: Everything was perfect Maybe the food.. a bit disappointed but the place is so nice that you don’t even really care :)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I stayed 2 weeks in Bali and made different hotels but for me this one was the best. Overflow swimming pool with view of the rice fields, spacious rooms with view of the rice fields as well and very comfortable bed, attentive staff and very friendly. There are restaurants around and the accommodation offers guides to visit the surroundings. I highly recommend this hotel
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The accommodation was amazing. The staff were very friendly and welcoming! They were always there to answer questions and provide transport/food/activities. Incredible view of the rice terraces and mountains - 10/10
Cons: N/A
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had the rooms closest to the swimming pool which offer the best views to the rice fields on the opposite side of the valley. These rooms also the most pratical when you travel with young kids. The staff and the owner of the property have been always very helpful and friendly. The location is perfect to enjoy the visit of nearby ricefields and lakes with scooters or car.
Cons: nothing. Was perfect stay.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Amazing view. Nice pool and nice rooms. Breakfast was okay. Very friendly owner who likes to make a chat with you and ensures you feel welcome.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Everything was great! Very nice people. Easy to rent a scooter and get arround. They even arranged a driver for me to go to sanur which is far away and he picked me up at 5 am! Was great. Would stay again. Beeeaaautiful room with sigh over the rice paddies
Cons: Everything was great!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Our room overlooked the rice terraces and the mountains. It was amazing and relaxing. The bed was huge and super comfortable! The infinity pool was a big bonus!
Cons: Breakfast was very mediocre. It could have been better. No one came to clean our room within the 2 days of stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect. The hosts were simply the most adorable persons. They treated me as if I were very special for them and took me to all the places I wanted to visit. When I arrived, there was a traditional Balinese wedding in the house and I’ve been warmly introduced to everyone. I can’t explain how magical this moment was. The food was also very good and tasty, I couldn’t ask for more perfection! I give 100 stars to that place!! Thank you SO MUCH!
4.5 Okay
Pros: The outdoors is beautiful!
Cons: Indoors was horrible! Our room was extremely mouldy covered in damp / terribly smelling sheets. I was coughing all night due to the damp on my breathing. Breakfast was horrible too. there was no Indonesian breakfast which was a shame, and do not try the pancake nor french toast! Stick to the omelette. Staff wasn’t the friendliest. I was laughed at when I complained about the mould disturbing my sleep (I have asthma). Exterior is beautiful, but that’s about it. There is also no restaurants in the near surroundings except maybe two, and the dinner at the hotel was terrible; worst Nasi Goreng Ive had yet.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Spectacular place to stay with the ‘wow’ factor. Stunning views over the rice fields. Gorgeous infinity pool. Very relaxed atmosphere. Great food. Feels like a really special place. Would definitely stay again.
Cons: Could be a little difficult to locate staff but they were very helpful once you found them!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: I love everything in here. The room. The towel is clean. Everything is soooo clean. The bath tub is so great. The staff is so friendly. And it's close to Kebun Raya Bali, Ulun Danu Beratan, Twin Lake Buyan & Tamblingan. I love it.
Cons: Nothing
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very nice staff Good food
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were good, the breakfast waffles were amazing, the staff are super friendly.
Cons: The hot water was not hot enough if the shower is full open. For the shower to be hot, we had to open the tap in low pressure so that the water gets heated.
7.5 Good
Pros: The grounds of this hotel are very beautiful and well maintained. Beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean.
Cons: We had to leave earlier then initially intended because of the noise level. The location of the hotel is strange. It is on a very steep incline and about 75 % of it is encapsulated by a very busy road. This caused the noise levels to be unbearable for us b/c not only we could not get a good night sleep but also because of the constant noise during the day that was exhausting. Also, the rooms shake because of the vibration caused by moving vehicles, thus getting relaxed there is somehow a challenge. The facilities are ok but more TV channels would be great.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was amazing. Waffles and pancakes, fresh strawberry juice and other tropical fruits. The location is also amazing. It is 5 minute drive using scooter and you can avoid the traffic. Also, if you like cold/high altitude feel, this place is wonderful. It sits high up 1500 feet above sea. In the afternoon, you don't need air-conditioning. The hosts were kind to connect us with a scooter rental. Also, took care of our laundry and so we're very grateful.
Cons: One thing we didn't like was the noise but we were able to tolerate it. The highway runs around the hotel and so during the night you could hear the motorists. Also, it happens that there was road and building construction next to the hotel and so that adds to the daytime noise. But once again, it's tolerable.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Quaint and distinctively beautiful location and property, staff very friendly, shuttle to local market and temple and views.
Cons: WI fi problematic was down for most of the 3 days we stayed, if this could be fixed I would gladly re-visit.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Meals, staff, cabins.
Cons: Noise from the street during the night.
7.5 Good
Pros: Convenient location & great bathtub. Fireplace in restaurant.
Cons: Breakfast was not particularly good.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Awesome garden, lovely spacious bungalows with nice bathroom. Five star breakfast delivered into your bungalow. The waiter Wayan in the restaurant is super polite, professional and friendly. Overall nice experience
Cons: Too much noise from the road during the night also. Literally no internet connection. Food in the restaurant is below average. Can be pretty cold in the bungalow and no heating provided. They offer hot water bottles though however that can’t really help only if you stay in the bed.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Set in beautiful gardens with view from verandah to mountains & valley. Private cabin tastefully decorated with thought to a traveller's comfort.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast/lunch/dinner was quite good with various selections. Maybe a bit more local dishes to be on the menu ? Location is good for us because we wanted to get away from beaches & lots of tourists. Transportation is good but maybe charges could be a bit more flexible so that guests may take more shorter trips to discover local flavours ? Drivers knowledge of locality are excellent. Resort staff are very friendly. We enjoyed our stay there. Thank You :)
Cons: None
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The place is quite scenic. The staff is also very cooperative. We had a great time there.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Location is beautiful canary, literally up in the middle of nowhere
Cons: However.... this meant it was so difficult to get anywhere!! The hotel do not have things in place to allow you to leave ie. we could hire scooters, we really struggled to arrange a driver (both times had to wait over an hour for one- only to be hugely overcharged, and grab car wouldn’t go there). This was also coupled with the fact everything on site was expensive I.e. food, yoga classes, massage... we booked a massage on our 2nd day but we’re disappointed to find that although it was expensive, the masseuse was the girl who was also on reception, and served the restaurant. As it is up in the mountains, it also meant the accommodation was freezing at night and the rooms were not equipped for this. Finally- we didn’t have a hot shower for our whole stay there! We tried at every point in the day, and didn’t manage one once. A very disappointing stay!
5.0 Okay
Cons: No TV, breakfast was plain
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It's the perfect place to get away from Canggu/Ubud or other busy areas. Stunning, clean, well kept and quiet. We just sat on our patio enjoying the view. A must visit in The Organic Farm & Cafe, 10min drive from the resort, the food is incredibly tasty. You order and they get the ingredients straight from their garden, fresher than fresh!
Cons: A gym, even small, is literally the only thing that we would love to see added.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I have stayed in Bali for one week and each night in a different place. I have searched all locations with care and loved them all but this one was so far the best one. Amazins location and amazing view from the room... Absolutely...speechless
6.8 Good
Pros: The view was ok
Cons: The road to go there close to the property is terrible .. Because the origin peoples not really care about the peoples who stayed in that property. They park they cars like they dont care if the other peoples will past that way .. Until i have damage my velg from car! Because they will not removed they cars wich is park beside the street a little bit beside. And my car was brand new from Mazda CX5 Elite type!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is a jewel in a box!! The surroundings are amazing and the room view just breathtaking!!! Everything was an amazing experience from the room to the delicious and healthy breakfast!!!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The view and the location were really nice. We also liked our room (Sunrise room) a lot and the Yoga for guests.
Cons: Food! While on the website they advertise for healthy and vegan and detox food, the offered foods did not really match this expectation. Similar fried foods like everywhere were offered with little veg options. And for these prices the taste and amount of food were not matching at all. For convenience, we ate there 3 times (lunch, dinner and breakfast) during our 1 night stay. We would probably come back for the location, if we are able to find good food options nearby.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Really pretty location and ground. Rooms were a good size and nice tub. Friendly staff. Right next to water temple and close to other attractions like botanical gardens.
Cons: Kitchen wasn't open when I was there, but they ordered me fried rice and delivered it to my room so not a big deal. They need more blankets. It sounds weird but I was freezing at night. Also, a dead cockroach in the room, but better dead than alive I always say...
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Nothinf
Cons: Everyone was rude, manipulative, condescending and money grubbing ("you pay now!!!" -- in an angry scream). Nothing that was advertised was correct; there was no wifi, no canoes or tennis courts or spa... just delapitated dirty buildings.

Cons: Not much to do around the hotel
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Loved the set up of getting our own space and room! Very cute place, and the restaurant had nice lake views!

8.3 Excellent
Pros: - Very good and cheap restaurant! - Very helpful and friendly staff!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice breakfast Nice bed Nice staff
Cons: Close to a mosque which meant that we had a horrible night: no sleep Extremely noisy No shower curtain Pretty exspensive
6.8 Good
Pros: Good choice of food for breakfast, also an amazing view from the restaurant at the top. The staff is friendly and provide help if asked.
Cons: The bed was not clean, had to ask the staff to change linen, which was done in several minutes. The house is quite cold and wet and no heating available. Also there is some mould on the ceiling and walls. There is "wet" smeel, which went away only after we opened door and windows for ventilation.
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: It was close to the temple but Nothing really to be very honest.
Cons: The Room was dirty. The place was broken and noisy.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The staff was nice and helpful when needed
Cons: Singing and chanting went on till past midnight every night, roasters woke us up before the sun even came up, have to hike a small mountain for breakfast.

Pros: A huge villa with a beautiful view, a large area, friendly staff. Ideal for a large company. Location in a quiet area. For independent travel requires a bike or car. Lake Bratan 20 minutes drive.
Cons: Bad wifi connection, the swimming pool was empty
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The view and the house are amazing!
Cons: The cleaning could be better. Behind tv stance, in each corner and furnature was clearly not cleaned for some time.
7.0 Good
Pros: Big room with Nice view. Friendly people and easy to rent a scooter for trips.
Cons: The room was clean if you dont have high expertations. There is one small little shop across the street, for food you have to go down hill. You have to use a scooter, but its a small road.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: It was extraordinary remembering how cheap i payed for it. The staff was so kind amd welcoming when i first arrived and throughout the stay. The view was to die for! The pool was amazing doe it could be a little cleaner. The living room area is huge and the sofa is really comfortable i cant complain. The kitchen as well, it was a perfect size. The bathroom is really huge! Considering that i stayed alone, it was amazing! Hot water shower worked, nice large sink and american toilet standard. The place is also very near to kebun raya and the lakes. Overall i would rate the place 8 out of 10. Very Happy, would definitely come back again in the regular since i live permanently in town Denpasar. I hope next time when i come back, they would have already replaced the bedding and payed the indovision international channel, that would make it perfect. Thank you shangrilah.
Cons: There's a few things that could be improved, most importantly the bedding. The bedding is quite old and the bedcover was really rough and uncomfortable, the sheets can be cleaner and more to the bali hotel standard just simple plain white sheets with a nice comfortable duvet. Other things that can be fixed is the lamp in the bedroom area, one of the the plug was broken, but it really is nothing major. On the website i saw a review where they say there is international channel, which i was very happy about since i was staying alone, at night time i have planned to watch some movie on hbo. However, when i got there it wasnt working, looks like it havent been payed yet, such a bummer luckily i brought some dvds. Overall i think the place just needs a few simple retouch and renovation, better maintainance would make it perfect.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very nice and helpfull, the room was spacious and clean, really good place to relax and enjoy the view..
Cons: Access to go to the hotel is little bit tricky, must be extra carefull with sharp turns and uphill roads..
7.5 Good
Pros: Has a balcony with a Nice view over the rice fields and volcano. 2 queen beds and 1 sofa, pretty comfy. Has its own kitchen.
Cons: Pool was not working. Lots of ants everywhere. Be prepared thats its in the middle of nowhere and you ll need to think what you are going to eat beforehand.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Hugu bathroom without amanities
Cons: Less cleanliness, no good response from the owner when i told him about the house situation, alot of spiderweb everywhere , dusty on my bed and human hair on my bed, linen absolutely not changes when I was check in and finally i do cover my pillow with my t-shirt, next to room was pig and chicken cages. Really not recommended place
4.3 Okay
Pros: The sunrise an view.
Cons: It was very dirty, moldy, full of bugs and very smelly. No wifi, no one on the property after the check in. Advertises an infinity pool that is 100 percent unusable. The use of the shower floods the whole bathroom for more than 24 hours. Place totally unacceptable.
4.3 Okay
Pros: Big bathroom and the fact we booked for one night only!
Cons: Very run down "resort", villa and facilities have definitely seen better days. Walls were peeling with green mold in places. The whole place was dirty and there was a terrible musty smell in the living room area. Bed sheets with stains. Internet didn't work at first. The owner doesn't live there and apparently doesn't care anymore. It was one of the most expensive places and the surely the worst place we stayed at in Bali. Not worth your health for 60$ a night!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely quiet spot way from town so you need transport. Villa large spacious, clean, beautiful view. Comfy bed gorgeous large bathroom. Made was very welcoming and accomodating. Book shelf with some good books, great upstairs little penthouse with 360deg views and large bed. Great value for price.
Cons: Not much crockery only one bowl for breakfast.

4.3 Okay
Pros: The staff were lovely, very kind and helpful
Cons: The property is very run down and in need of an upgrade
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Choice of breakfast, clean room and facility, peaceful area.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Lication is great, all rooms have beautiful lake view. Staff is friendly and responsive and tried to solve all the problems as fast as pissible.
Cons: The hotel in reality looks worse than on pictures. At first night our room had some problems and we were upgraded to Delux room (Ne.202). And that was bad: cold apartment with several rooms and separate kitchen, but so uncozy and decayed! There was no hot water and very humiduty (moisture) air. The clothes momentally got unpleaseant smell bacause of such humiduty. The furniture and space was kind of old. And after warm and sunny Ubud in such a cold space my husband got sick :( Second night we moved to Nr.205 and that was better. But still not worth of the money we paid. All the hotels in orther areas where we stayed (Jimbaran, Ubud, Livina) cost us 3 times cheaper but wonderfull in all the aspects.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely fantastic location and wonderful staff. Lake Bratan right from your Patio. Free Shuttle in Bedigul area and staff ever ready to help you in everyway
Cons: Nothing I didn't like
9.5 Excellent
Pros: I had the whole villa to myself....including the living room + kitchen.
Cons: The venue is a bit dated....but that didn't really bother me. May do so, to others.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Exotic retreat away from the crowds and heat of the beaches. Cool temperate climate, no aircon needed. over 5 acres of manicured gardens. Fresh vegetables grown including strawberry fields. Very large rooms all with outdoor balconies, kitchen facilities, good wifi, only the sound of bird chirping, well away from road noise, other guests and full lake and mountain views from every room. Small exclusive resort suitable for a very private escape or honeymoon, wedding.Yoga retreat, stress free location. Including all meals, less than half the cost of any other resort in Bali with similar experience.
Cons: Pool lighting needs to be repaired.
4.5 Okay
Pros: Very nice view in the morning. All the rooms have lake view
Cons: Poor facilities, need to improve
7.0 Good
Pros: The staff were very accommodating. They arranged a private pick-up from Depansar Airport for 600,000 IDR (Approx. £30.00). We stayed in a deluxe double room that had a private outdoor jacuzzi and double doors that opened out to beautiful views of the lake. The hotel also has an arrangement with local boatmen to collect you from your back door to take you on a traditional boat to visit the Ulun Danu Bratan Temple via the lake for 150,000 IDR (Approx £15.00). This is HIGHLY recomendable. There is also a free shuttle service that takes you directly from the hotel to the temple and Handara Gate of you'd prefer to do this.
Cons: We wouldn't rate the hotel's restaurant at all. Although the views from the restaurant were suberb, the breakfast included in our stay was left untouched.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The double bungalow we stayed in was of the very highest standards. The spatiousness, the tastefullness of the installations and the art-decoration were just jaw dropping. The cleanliness and the friendliness of the staff and the food were excellent like in nearly all comparable places in Bali. You have to make the boat trip offered by the hotel: row around the temple in the lake without the crowds of tourists around you. The value for money is excellent.
Cons: We liked all.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely staff. Beautiful grounds and lake views. Quiet, peaceful. Food was reasonably priced and tasty.
Cons: Cleaners need more training. Would have liked more information in the folder about facilities, etc.

Pros: The host were charming! And the food was nice , breakfast was perfect. The garden is really nice with a nice view into the valley.
Cons: The view was nice in the morning and in the afternoon, however there aren't many restaurants or things to do that were walking distance. There isnt any wifi in the room, and very few tv chanels that were in English. I was a bit displeased by the lack of shampoo, and the confort of the beds.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: John and Utami were amazing hosts, very helpful and gave us lots of advice and insights into the area. We loved the food and would go back for that alone !
9.5 Excellent
Pros: John and Utami's Balitrekk is more of a homestay than a hotel. Good accommodation, excellent food and the pleasure of swapping stories on the terrace looking out through the teak grove is hard to beat for a relaxing break.
Cons: Cell signal can be poor so finding it can be a challenge.

Pros: The location, the place, the room... I really love this place! :)
Cons: Nothing! Everything was perfect! :)
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Although the property offered a range of hotel rooms, the stars were the two lovely wooden bungalows in the forest. Saw a number of Balinese squirrels. Ah, the quiet! Beautiful gardens. Lovely staff.
Cons: The swimming pools were nowhere near full....not the fault of the resort, as the pools are spring fed. The booking website sent me a notice that my account would be debited two weeks before my stay, but this did not happen. Confusion about this resulted.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Stuff was friendly and the surrounding quite idillic.
Cons: But room had no Wifi plus the pillows smelled molded. The waterfall behind my room was so loud I had to stuff that window with the pillows. It was as well bit unclean.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Staff were great
Cons: Many steep steps to get to mountain veiw room so had to change room. Very old hut. Walk to swimming hole steep and slippery so could not go. Low season so only had nasi or mei goreng for lunch and dinner. Last night cook never made dinner for us. Only bintang to drink.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel has got a private waterfall. All personnel us very polite and make you feel like you are at home, speccially Ketut. We recommend It at all!
5.0 Okay
Pros: The location is very remote where there is almost nothing around the accommodation thus it is cool and very close to a small waterfall. Almost at the backyard.
Cons: The facilities were barely working such as the doors were hard to close, the water pressure in the shower were miserable, no hot water for shower, many insects such as flies, small insects were around making it uncomfortable to hang around. Breakfast portion were very small. Such a pity because if you are looking for a quiet place in the middle of lush greeneries then this would be an ideal place to stay.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Pretty nice view from mountain view room. Good inintilal idea and room furniture. Nice landscape design. But seems like only staff working here has ability to rest here, haha. Unfortunately hotel is too dirty and unrespectable.
Cons: absolutely dirty and out of order towels and bedding in so expensive hotel!!! It has the dirtiest stuff on Bali. Not perfect service in the restaurant. Poor 0,7Mbps internet. Swimming pool is a strange artificial lake.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely, quiet location. Friendly staff. Food nice. Property is just lovely
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Everything was so fun ❤
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A little oasis tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Sanur. A nice 10mins walk to the beach. The villa was very clean and comfortable. A lovely pool for a refreshing drip. Food and service very good. Staff amazing. Is this a Bali trait? Would definitely stay here again.
Cons: Can’t think of anything.

3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Beautiful garden
Cons: They are trying to extort your money; if you refuse – they make your stay a hell. I had booking for 3 nights in standard room. At my arrival, the manager J.M. lied that they do not have what is written in the booking form, and tried to force me to pay EXTRA for the upgrade. I refused, and she put me in dilapidated hut, called ‘bungalow’ room. It had wet rotten linen, no blanket, no heating, no hot water. I was frozen to death overnight in high mountains, lying fully clothed on the bed, and trying to cover myself by spare pillows instead of blanket. The entrance door was so rotten and wobbly that could be opened even with the key turned. There are was no single other guest in the ‘bungalow’ area, with strangers walking outside and the dogs barking. It was simply dangerous. That was the first sleepless night. On the next day, I asked J.M. for a blanket and she refused. She announced that the standard rooms (which she lied are not available) suddenly became available, but I must interrupt my lunch and run to move my suitcase NOW, because the room is ready. I collected my suitcase, and she sent a message that actually I have to sit and wait, because the room is NOT ready at all. What a cynicism! I am 66 years old woman, she is in her 20th. The room where I was eventually moved, was not what I booked again. I booked a standard room with the desk, the kettle, parquet floor and garden view. The room I was given did not have all this, but had a prison-like iron bars on the window and broken plumbing. Most importantly, instead of ‘garden view’ I had the window coming straight on the major North-South Highway, with horrifying 24 hours traffic noise. No one could sleep in such ‘garden’ room. This was my second sleepless night. On the next day, I tried to contact the manager, and was told story after story that she is in the temple, in the bank and anywhere. I finally got a chance to talk to J.M., and she again refused to give me what I booked.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: I liked the location and setting - 'jungle' type cabin with a lovely view. The staff were really nice and the food reasonably priced and good. The grounds of the compound were nice to walk around and well maintained. The location was very close to Bali Botanical Gardens - my target destination. I was there for Nyepi Day and it was very quiet then.
Cons: The internet was only available in the eating/reception area - not unusual in Bali but a bit of a pain. The road noise outside of Nyepi Day was a bit annoying, but its the main road so unavoidable.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Great location in Bedugul, the restaurant offer very good meals (home made fries , pork , potato soup), friendly staff
Cons: The room is far from the reception, flow of the water in the shower is ridiculous and we have booked and paid for a room with included breakfast but we had to paid the breakfast !!
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Surrounding is very nice, good for camping or if you have booked the villa.
Cons: Our room was very dirty and it smelled terrible. Not worth the price, for this amount we had much better accommodation on even better locations in Bali. And the guy from motorbike renting was very insincere, rented us a motorbike which was old and in terrible condition.
7.5 Good
Pros: I really liked the restaurant and the atmosphere, good fireplace at the restaurant the evenings, gardens are very nice and well maintained, staff very friendly, a lot of services provided
Cons: The room is very basic and quite humide, and one night we had a cockroach. The mosque is not far and the noise during the night was very annoying. Morever they have birds and chicken in little cage. Prices at the restaurant was a little bit high for that we used to.
7.0 Good
Pros: The staff were great and very helpful when we wanted to rent a motorbike. They also helped us arrange our transport to Ubud via the rice terraces with a guide. The gardens were beautiful and the view of the lake from the restaurant was amazing.
Cons: The room was what let it down. We weren’t even sure if our room was still in the hotel as we had to walk through a temple and various other things to get to it. The room wasn’t nice and there were huge cockroaches in the room. The toilet didn’t flush properly and the sink leaked.
7.5 Good
Pros: The view from our villa was exceptional. The upstairs and downstairs lounge areas were both great with beautiful wooden freeform furniture. The grounds are also very beautiful and I wish we had more time to explore them. In the restaurant they had a fire in the evening which was really nice, especially through the rainstorm that happened! Short walk (c. 10-15mins) to the lake and onwards to Pura Dana Beratan past lots of street food stalls.
Cons: The road noise in our villa was just so loud. I believe they have more accommodation further from the road so I advise requesting this if it is possible. It was really very loud, even through the night. Luckily we're both deep sleepers and were pretty tired. The WiFi doesn't reach outside of the restaurant/gathering area but I'm not sure that's a bad thing really ;)
8.0 Excellent
Pros: You can see part of the lake from the restaurant which served good food. The room I had was basic, but it was comfy enough for a one night stay.
5.5 Okay
Pros: Spotless gardens and surrounding areas. No rubbish at all lying around. Breakfast was ok and food from the Warung not bad. Staff friendly.
Cons: Opposite the mosque which blared out prayers at 5am for at least a quarter of an hour. The bamboo huts had paper-thin walls which offered no sound proofing at all. Not a lot of comfort apart from the bed. Bathroom and shower had a rock pebble floor so had to wear something on the feet to shower. Water was tepid at best. No heating which made it uncomfortable considering it rained most of the time and was quite chilly. Overpriced for this type of accommodation.
6.8 Good
Pros: Staff does try to make your stay as comfortable as possible by handing out extra blankets. Rooms get cleaned every day. Owner helps out with organising activities during your stay. The resort has a beautiful garden, nice play ground area for kids, a fish pond and a view on the lake. If you are not expecting luxury, this place is still good value for money.
Cons: It is pretty cold. Because there is direct access to the rooms from outside, I did feel cold at night. Shower goes over the toilet. Once you have showered, everything gets wet and doesn't dry easily. Because they have a fire in the restaurant, it does get very smokey inside the restaurant. There is also a damp smell in the room. The resort is very close to a mosque and the call to pray may wake you up in the morning, if not the cockerels will.
