The room and common areas were very clean, the staff spoke the best English that we encountered our whole trip and were extremely helpful, the views from the room are amazing, the breakfast was great, good garage parking. Nothing. The drive on the winding mountain roads might discourage some people but we thought it was beautiful.
Nice resort, but in is in the midle of nowhere. Espicially in non-season time, there is nothing you can do...You need a car definetly, otherwise you can rent bikes for free at resort, but the distance to first bigger city or beautiful beaches is too far for bike. Resort do not have 24h reception, only from 9h to 19h, so you have to check-in before 7. P.M, but when they are in, they are very nice and helpful Around resort is almost nothing, one small city 10 minutes by foot, and one big city (Tortoli) 15 minutes by bus. Wi-fi has very week signal in all resort and sometimes it is impossible to connect.
We spent a nice holiday in Tancau Village Resort. The swimming pool is big (1000m2) and has good access also for the children. Our 2 years old daughter loved it. The beach next to the resort is nice, but there are much nicer beaches around - Lido di Orri 15 minutes by car. The most beautiful beaches are in Golfo di Orosei, that are reachable only by boat. We took a charter cruise there, but we rented a gummoni boat too. Gummoni trip was definitely the best experience from Sardinia and is safe also for children. Ask senore Luigi on reception to arrange your trip. The cleaning service was once per 4 day, which is not enough, especially if you have a child. We have ants in our kitchen. The staff use some remedies to keep them out, but they came back in next days.
It is a quiet resort that is ideal for families or couples who want to relax and do little while they are at the resort (there is plenty to do in the area though). The staff were very helpful and the rooms were great for the cost, loved having two balconies - always one facing the Sun and one in the shade depending on the time of day. It has a big pool and plenty of space for the number of people who could be there. There was nothing that we expected to have been provided that wasn't. Being a fairly new hotel the rooms look new and I could see that they are improving the grounds with more plants etc. The A/C was a little weak and I think I'd have been too hot to sleep in the room if it was mid summer. There were dogs barking in the distance some times during the day, wasn't a great annoyance - just being picky now!
We always travel when it is "off season". I liked quietness, beach and room facilities there. Everything was like I expected. Value for money.
The resort was brand new so everything was nice and clean. Good facilities allowing us both to cook. Staff were friendly and English speaking, pool is the best thing about the place, fantastic and huge. Beach is not so far away but much better ones can be found 15 - 20 mins in a car, would highly recommend getting a car if going for more than a few days. Few restaurants can be found locally along with basic supermarkets, bigger one 10 min journey in a car. The resort is not too far from the port so boat trips to amazing beaches that cannot be accessed by car on the east coast. All day excursions for around 30 euros +. Would both go back as a very relaxing holiday. Perfect if all you want, Sun, Sea and Sand. No restaurant or supermarket on site but not too far to walk to nearest one.
The pool is magnificent. Beach is very close. The apartments are fully equipped and very nice. Great Flatscreen TV and excellent airconditioning. Signage to the site could be better at the turn from the main road.
Location is very good. Beach is close, so are some good restaurants, Santa Maria Navarrese with more restaurants is within walking distance (about 15 - 20 minutes of pleasant walk). The resort is nicely built, huge pool, nice patios, rooms are nice and clean. Owner speaks a good English. The room service only comes every 5th day which is too long especially if you go the beach often a bring some sand with you. Rooms do not have any means for cleaning by yourself. Also, do not trust your GPS too much getting to the location of the resort. If you go from the port of Olbia take the new, slightly longer but substantially better road via Nuoro. GPS may send you via Dorgali which is the old winding road that takes forever. Also beware that the check in hours are limited and you need to speak to the reception beforehand in order to arrive later. Studios are a bit basic, the kitchenettes lack dishwashers and microwaves.
A lovely resort which offered exactly what it had stated. It is in a great location and near to resturants for those that do not want to use the kitchen avaiable. Had everything we needed.
excellent seaside location very quiet and peaceful. The swimming pool and apartment were very good quality.car hire probably recommended ,althugh there are local buses but it is quite a remote area.
Fantastic pool, friendly staff, beautiful brand new resort.
Location, and the design of the hotel. Swimming pool was great, big, clean and with hot water. The bedroom was also very nice. We didn't get any bathroom soaps or shampoos refills during our stay. The room was too dark, so it would be better to consider the lighting and there was a some dust under the bed. The breakfast shoud have more variety, because it was very poor.
Friendly staff, great spot, very relaxing
Great location near the beach and for exploring Ogliastra region. Lovely design and excellent service by very helpful staff. Restful and quiet environment. Highly recommended
modern design hotel, nice pool, excellent food lunch and dinner. cosy athmosphere, not a family hotel street between hotel and beach. beach is not in sun after 6t:30 pm.
Comfort element was high in all aspects. Hotel's OWN website could sing its praises better and also open more speedily. One example was I took a hairdryer and didn't need one. Also I felt the interior was nicer than depicted. This comment only refers to the actual Lanthia Resort website and not Booking.com. Would mention that anyone under say 5' 8" would be challenged to reach hanging rails in wardrobe, only very minor negative comment though after a lovely stay.
Very personalized and welcoming service; Cozy and worm athmosphere; very nice food in the restaurant; Highly recommended to anyone staying in the area.
Peaceful and quiet. ideal for resting, reading and relaxing...
The Lanthia Resort hotel is a very stylish hotel with lovely accommodation and facilities -bar, pool, restaurant. The service was very good and the staff very welcoming. The hotel is in a great location for trips out, if you are thinking about coming to this area you must take a boat ride up the coast! The breakfast needs to be improved, poor ingredients, lacking imagination, I have had better breakfasts in a 3star hotel which is a shame because this is a lovely hotel to stay in.
No-fuss type hotel, quite relaxed, almost horizontal! Lack-lustre reception staff - had to help yourself to your room keys (and so could anyone else !)
Not much. Worst coffee during our holiday, my wife eaten alive by mosquitoes in the room. Staff not over welcoming.
Close to National Park, great one day cruise to local hidden beach coves.
Attractive, beautifully maintained hotel with a great staff and in a great location (which was not entirely clear on the website). nothing
Good location, several restaurants nearby, clean, good quality beds, kind staff, etc. The hotel is actually better than it looks on the pictures on the website. One night (from midnight to 2 AM), there was a karaoke nearby (50 m) causing a lot of noise.
The hotel was very close to everything(port, beach, restaurants). The staff was very competent and helpful. Insufficient light in the bathroom.
We loved the staff. They made us feel very welcome. We got a cappuchino and a nice cake to welcome us.The suite room is nice, Very basic and natural. The beach is nearby. We where very disappointed to hear that the restaurant was closed. Should be mentioned on booking. com because there is not a good restaurant in Santa maria navarese.
Very personal treatment, almost as family member. Very nice room. Great restaurant. Beautiful beaches and mountains nearby. A little finishing necessary in garden and restaurant to make it a true design hotel
Very nice hotel and very friendly people
Nice hotel, the personnel was very pleasant and attentive. Hotel has a good position, close to the beach (50 мt) in a quiet place covered with trees. The breakfast was very good, also it has good restaurant menu with different sardinian plates, especially good and fresh local fish.
The owner was extremely friendly and over the top helpful with any questions we had. The room was beautifully decorated as was the lobby and breakfast room. The breakfast was delicious and artistically displayed for a buffet. Just a lovely visit.
The food and the service are top level! Everyone is very professional and customer oriented.
A boutique hotel with some interesting design features, comfortable rooms and really nice staff (it's owned and run by four sisters). The restaurant was the best we tried in town. The beach is just across the road and the hotel has an arrangement with the lounger/umbrella concession. It provides free beach towels as well. Good base for swimming, snorkelling and walking.
Friendly, genuine and pleasant people, beautiful trees and marvelous beach, clean water make someoe feel fine. Stephania runs a good job.
The staff were helpful and the breakfast was good although sometimes they were slow in replacing items that had run out. The fact that beach umbrellas and loungers were included in the price was good and also the fact that the hotel supplied beach towels.
Friendly and helpful staff, location close to the beach and atmospheric bar
This hotel really surprised me. It has a great location and its own little beach with deck chairs. Along the road there are some fantastic seafront restaurants and you really feel like you are away from it all. This is a highly recommended stop for a day or three when travelling through Sardinia. It is a very quiet area. This obviously isn't a bad thing, but better to go with your partner or as a group, not as a solo traveller looking to meet other people.
