Pros: The hosts Corinne and Laurent were perfect. We had a wonderful stay in a beautiful surrounding. Everyday we were looking forward to dinner and dessert. Laurent is an excellent cook! We can totally recommend a stay at la colina.
Pros: The view is stunnging. The owners are super friendly and helpful. The food excellent with a new fantasitc dish accompanied with an even moore amazing sauce every day.
Pros: We had an exceptional, once in a life time stay. The setting is nothing but stunning: on a hill overlooking the pacific coastline. One never gets tired from just gazing, either gently rocking in a hammock, floating in the pool, lying in a cabana or sitting in a chair on the bungalow deck. The grounds are as meticulously maintained as they are beautiful. Future visitors need to realize that this place offers only three rooms, so one has plenty of privacy at the pool, in front of the bungalow, in the garden or the bar and breakfast area. The style of the B&B is that of beautiful simplicity. This can be seen everywhere, from the outdoor bar and dining area, the pool or the inside of the bungalow. One looks into the trees from the bathroom window and shower (such as taking a shower in a rain forest), or over the pacific from the bedroom. What can top this? The personal service and attention from Corrine and Laurent! They are there when you need them or even better before you know you need them but let you have total privacy. Laurent maintains the grounds. The hammock fixation broke and Laurent not only fixed it, he improved it. Corinne serves fresh breakfast and Laurent cooks French style with local ingredients. The bar has every drink you can wish to enjoy. They give you invaluable tips what to do in the area... If you visit the Nocoya peninsula and you don’t stay at Colina Vista Pura, you miss the stay of your life time (see above). Take my word for it.
Pros: Beautiful accommodation with fantastic view. The pool site is actually more beatiful (fantastic) than shown on the photos. Great breakfast and very friendly host. The rooms are decorated with a lot of taste; we were very happy that there was even a small fridge in the room.
Pros: Superb location. Great view. Fantastic hosts Laurent and Corrine. We felt like home. Food was excellent.
Pros: My husband an I were first time in Costa Rica, rain season just ended and some roads in province needs restoration, but driving in night was quite an adventure :). Owners -french couple -are amazing people and we would be happy to be a friends. Breakfasts were excellent - home made bread and guice, and eggs... and dinners were different and yammy. Very good swimming pool, breathtaking view... very relaxing time we spent there
Pros: Beautiful views, comfortable rooms, delicious food, and fantastic hosts! We were so happy to have been able to spend time here. The area is great as well, the beach is very close and peaceful with few tourists.
Pros: Owners, camera , view, pool , dinner/ breakfast! All Amazing and perfect !
Pros: This is the perfect place to get away from everything and still have a comfortable, well-maintained, individual and stunningly beautiful accommodation. We stayed for five nights in our spacious and beautifully designed chalet and enjoyed every minute. The views are breathtaking and Corinne and Laurent are the most caring and friendly hosts. Breakfast and dinner was delicious. Highly recommended!
Cons: Be prepared for the remote location - it's about an one hour drive over (fairly good) dirt roads to get there. No ATMs or gas stations nearby, though there are some little supermarkets and restaurants. On the good side, this also means you only have to share the massive beach with few other people :-)

Pros: I loved being at this hotel and extended my staying for 2 more days. Amazing staff, amazing location, amazing facilities. Will be back on my honeymoon :)
Cons: There isn’t a thing not to like here
Pros: Beautiful Location and very nice staff
Cons: Termite infested rooms and horrible food
Pros: The views were spectacular!
Cons: A bit outdated for the price.
Pros: Beautiful casita with golf cart, beach cabana, pools, staff.
Cons: Price slightly higher than other resorts in Costa Rica.
Pros: Stuff was very rude and everything was very bad
Cons: Everything was very bad
Pros: The hotel grounds are beautiful, especially the infinity pool with swim up bar and restaurant overlooking the sea. Marvin greeted us from the car and check in was very smooth - we were even upgraded to a suite for free as it was low season which was amazing. The beds are so comfy and rooms are beautiful too. We ate at the restaurant and food is very reasonably priced and delicious (also, the cocktail are great!). Antonio is a great bartender and server, he and Marvin made our stay even better! We would love to come back to hotel Punta Islita, it is one of our favorite hotels we have visited.
Pros: The view from the room was amazing. The beach was beautiful and I could always find a shady place to sit.
Cons: I wish there were a few more food options but the restaurants we're great!

Pros: The breakfast was very good. This was important because there weren't any other places to eat breakfast. The setting is amazing. We had breakfast with birds and monkeys in the trees. There's a lot of surrounding wildlife to enjoy. The room was exceptionally clean, the water in the shower was hot and the television had an English-speaking channel. The pool was clean and refreshing in such a hot and dry place.
Pros: Nice pool
Cons: Staff least helpful out of all hotels visited in Costa Rica, very basic room, no decoration
Pros: We are very familiar with Laguna Mar. We've had excellent dinners there many times, but this was our first stay there...it was very nice. We definitely will stay again.
Pros: The place was nice and very clean.. The rooms was little Small but clean..
Located in Bejuco, Cristal Azul is by the ocean, within a 5-minute drive of San Miguel Beach and Playa Coyote. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: This is the perfect place to relax for a few days. It's wonderfully peaceful with amazing views of the coast below. The food is fabulous especially if you're into seafood. The host and staff were very friendly and helpful. Check out their beach bar Locos Cocos for even more fantastic seafood and a romantic sunset
Pros: The location is fantastic, Zene is great and the pool is really nice and adequate size. Be ready to be all alone and just enjoy the nature and the View!
Cons: The rooms should have been cleaner, the breakfast was a bit plain. In general Crystal Azul, seems a bit tired and could use a loving hand, this is partly due to some tropical storms. The last stretch of road is very rough.
Pros: Remote, relaxing, friendly, beautiful view. Off the beaten path. Super hosts. Refreshing pool. Would recommend to anyone who wants to just get away and decompress.
Pros: The most amazing infinity pool I've seen, such a beautiful surrounding, and our host made it feel very personal. It feels more like staying in a friend's pool house than an hotel. And the trip to get there is an adventure of it's own. The beach down the Cristal Azul is also quite incredible, it's massive, and there's literally nobody. Cristal Azul's restaurant makes delicious Ceviches.
