9.3 Excellent
Pros: Location, hot tubs, view
4.5 Okay
Pros: Great property, beautiful location.
Cons: Not managed well. Room air did not work, nobody did anything to fix it. Offered a fan but never delivered it. Management did not know or didn't carry through on certain things.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were pleasantly surprised with the lodge, and the atmosphere, and we would love to return with friends.
Cons: Can't think of anything other than the tents set up for the Sturgis Rally coming to town which blocked the view, but they were taking care of their guest, and we more than understood.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful views great location lives up to its ratings.
Cons: No phone service
10.0 Excellent
Pros: In the canyon! Walk to some great falls
5.8 Okay
Pros: The atmostphere
Cons: No elevator for second floor, no parking available for motorcycle trailer, no internet and WiFi was down, put tag on door for privacy please and someone came into the room, next day I put the service sign out, just towels were replaced, Ice bucket was full of water, sheets were not changed let alone not straightened out under covers, tub was not cleaned, no coffee two days we were there, no security on side doors. I really think it should be on your website that there is no Internet also there are no elevators for people they can’t walk upstairs. Also charging a premium rate for Sunday night, really? You are the only hotel I know that does that. Other than that everything was nice. Staff was great and very helpful.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful ride on the scenic byway to get there and beautiful views around the lodge. Nice clean room and beautiful lobby.
Cons: No cell service but they do provide free WiFi. No free breakfast and the only restaurant nearby is on their property.
6.8 Good
Pros: Staff was very helpful when the wifi in my first room worked very poorly. They switched my room to one with better wifi reception.
Cons: No breakfast offered.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location! We had breakfast at the restaurant across the road and it was great as well! We lucked out as they were offering their buffet that morning and everything was warm and fresh. The waitress even gave some great suggestions for trails to go on!
Cons: The only downfall was there was no pool.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This lodge is truly a great find in the middle of the Spearfish Canyon. I found this place while looking for somewhere to stay as I was traveling through Spearfish into Wyoming. My only word of advice is be aware of where you are. Kayak.com told me it was located in Spearfish and it's actually in Savoy. The staff was helpful and friendly. The main entry is gorgeous with comfy chairs all over the place to relax and sit by a crackling fireplace. I had a standard room and was overly pleased with it. The decor is very fitting, room was extremely clean, bathroom was great. They even leave a cute stuffed bear welcoming you on the bed. Large bathrobes are in your room if you feel like taking a dip in their outdoor hot tubs which I also highly recommend. You can stare at the stars while you unwind. Try and get a creekside room...you can be lulled to sleep by the sounds of the water. I highly recommend this place to anyone!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was very nice. Food was good.
5.1 Okay
Pros: Beautiful surroundings
Cons: Uncomfortable furniture (headboards), nor adaptable for ADA, Inconvenient distance of restaurant for handicap.

Pros: where else could one go, sit outside your room, and visit with the owner. It doesn't happen in a large chain-type motel. Kind owner.
Cons: This is no one's fault, but the walls, because of the age of the motel, are paper thin. Unfortunately a gentleman next door talked either by phone or to someone else in the room for almost 2 hours... loudly. There of course are no "extras"... bedside clock, bedside lamp, hair dryer. A very frugal owner... but kind.

10.0 Excellent
Cons: The first night we were there and came down for breakfast at 9 everything was gone and no one's around to fill the empty trays. So we had breakfast off site. Second day breakfast was better but the yogurt smoothies were warm and the breakfast tray did not seem to keep the food hot.
7.5 Good
Cons: Our bathroom needed some maintenance. The lights were constantly being tripped, this was with out having the outlets jammed with other electric devices. The toilet made a strange gurgling sound, this was before we used it. It then overflowed. The maintenance man does not live in town, so the front desk guy (unpleasant) came both times we called. Love Hamptons, all other aspects were great. It was just our bathroom.

Pros: Very pleased with all amenities. Staff was friendly & courteous!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved the location from Sturgis and Mount Rushmore. And being that we were there during the rally they allowed riders to park their bikes under their main awning outside the front door over the weekend to help shield them from the rain. They also allowed us to fit outside under that awning and launch shares to drink and hang out with other visitors Which was awesome of them! They also supplied a small hot breakfast which included scrambled eggs, this gets in gravy, waffles, and your standard cereal bagels juice and coffee. There pool was heated and nice the hot tub was amazing and worked perfectly! The rooms were very nice and clean and well kept and the staff was great. We will continue to try and stay there without returning trips. FYI they have a small Hill in their parking lot which was great in helping us unload our bike from our pick up truck!
Cons: In our Room we had an issue with the floors being buckled in a couple of spots and we were not able to fully close our bathroom door or fully open our Mini fridge without moving it. But those were the only issues we had with this hotel everything else was great

1.0 Poor
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Our MOTEL room was dirty! It smelled horrible and the carpet had stains all over it. It was also a converted motel because we had doors to the rooms on the outside of the building. This was a terrible Holiday Inn and they should pull their name from it.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice bed Great TV channel selection
Cons: The fan blew the curtains up...so annoying. The shower curtain was too short
5.5 Okay
Pros: Great location. Nice pool area
Cons: Our room was strange. The window faced an indoor hallway. View of ice machines. Maid service terrible. Maids rude and racist. (speaking in racist tones about guests in hotel while “cleaning” rooms and using speaker on their phone) we stayed 4 nights and our room was serviced only twice.

6.8 Good
Pros: I liked the location. The staff was friendly and accommodating for an early checkin.
Cons: Facility needs some maintenance. The bathroom door handle was about to come apart. The cable for the TV was spotty. It just needs a few touch ups. The one bed needs a new mattress as you can see a bow in it where it has been used so much.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Close to freeway, easy to find. Clean and very comfy beds.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The staff were wonderful! Very friendly and helpful! Location was great next to stores and restaurants.
Cons: Our room was not cleaned well. I had to clean something off the toilet seat with my own Clorox wipes before my kids went to use it. We found garbage (straws and a medication blister pack) on the floor. There were hairs on the floor of the bathroom.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Well located
Cons: Needs to be refreshed.
6.8 Good
Pros: Location was close to my business needs.
Cons: The card that was used for incidentals was charged for the room instead of the corporate card that was used to reserve the room. That took phone calls to resolve, and it was resolved to my satisfaction.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast
Cons: Not as clean as I like
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast. Plenty of choice.
Cons: There were two chairs, yes, but no room to place them conveniently for two people to sit.
4.3 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was good. Bed comfortable.
Cons: I was very disappointed to be placed in one of the worse rooms in the hotel. Right next to the elevator shaft. The hotel was nearly empty, too! Also, couldn't get local TV stations - looked like there was a satellite issue. This went on the entire two days I was there. When I expressed my concern to the young girl at the front desk, she offered no apology or suggestion to remedy the situation. I'm usually happy with any hotel associated with Marriott, but this one fell very short. I visit Spearfish a lot due to having family there, so they will lose my business in the future.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable beds, friendly staff, and a really nice breakfast.
Cons: There was nothing wrong!
10.0 Excellent

4.3 Okay
Pros: Nice town it’s in
Cons: Out dated, barely a breakfast , lights out in bathroom , gave us two towels period and a wash cloth , no bath mats or face towels. Even though they had clean rooms ,everyone had to wait until exactly 3 to check in . Made check in extremely slow . Will not stay there again or recommend . Certainly not worth the price . Coffee pot didn’t have all the parts to make coffee , no refrigerator or microwave ...

For the price paid there should have been.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Close location to highway, easy booking
Cons: Breakfast was pretty light and there were no hand towels or washcloth in the bathroom
4.3 Okay
Cons: Our room did not have any wash cloths. When we called the front desk - they were not helpful. Told us - it will be a while before we can bring some. Next day - only 1 wash cloth? Very noisy AC - hard to sleep.
5.5 Okay
Pros: Front desk staff was not always available and when I needed a confirmation page printed for our next activity, I was informed the business center didn't have a printer and the front desk was for hotel business only. We ended up waiting for the public library to open and going there to print our page.
Cons: Lack of communication from the front desk staff as to why they disappear and what was going on with the water and coffee for the breakfast rush. We had booked for a room to sleep 5. There were no roll away beds to add to our room.
6.0 Good
Pros: Close to freeway, shopping, and event I travelled for.
Cons: No microwave, refrigerator did not work, and there was no attendant at breakfast. We ended up leaving and going to Perkins because no coffee was available and no staff at counter. Must have been some kids in the room above us as there was constant noise
