9.5 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful breakfast on a sun-flooded terrace and dinner on a vine-shaded terrace - Wonderful dinner and great wines!!!! Very friendly and helpful staff!!
Cons: Internet was a bit dodgy, the only place where I could use it was in the corridor or in the bathroom. But, then, nothing is perfect. . . .
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff, nice location, quiet room, breakfast was top
Cons: Having to leave too soon ...
Casa Annoni - Bellinzona - Hotel amenity

9.3 Excellent (150 reviews)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location for guests with a car is perfect! Good if you don’t have a car, too, as it’s only a 4 or 5 minute walk to the walled city. Loved the host, Luca, who could not do enough for us!! He’s a wonderful, thoughtful and gracious host. Nothing is too much trouble Luca keeps a beautiful garden, which we found to be a lovely, relaxing place to start or end the day. We highly recommend!
Cons: Pillows were very hard (which Luca warned us about), but I just used rolled up throw which was in the room. Hard pillows must be Italian preference, as we encountered elsewhere, too.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: A very warm welcome, beautiful decor, fantastic garden and lovely food - definitely recommend it!
Cons: Very minor point- a holder for the shower head
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely amazing stay. We arrived by public transport with no problems. Getting around the town without a car was a little tricky because the buses don't run frequently; however, we were offered rides by both our host and locals. A truly fabulous stay with an amazing host and delicious food!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice B&B in a great location. Max is very friendly, helpful and his breakfast in the wonderful garden ist just stunning. Nicely decorated house and room, comfy bed. Don't miss the homemade jam! Easy and convenient to get to Locarno by bus.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Max was the perfect host and very helpful. The house is beautiful and the decor very arty, we were very comfortable and slept well. The Gudo area is very pretty and quiet, and it's just a few minutes drive to Bellinzona. Breakfast was great and the homemade jam delicious. If we were in Gudo again I would definitely stay here.
10.0 Excellent

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Max the owner was so hospitable and polite, he waited for us until we arrived in late evening, he even offered to cook dinner for us. The house is stunning and the room very comfy with a fan. 10.0 Excellent
Pros: Dinner in the evening on the front terrace was outstanding. Lovely hotel inside and out.
Cons: Nothing.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable boutique hotel with great views of the mountains from the room and great breakfast on the terrace. Located across the street from a park, so a nice green area. We used the EV charging station next door with a Chargemap card, which was a bit expensive (€50 for 70kWh and 11 hours of parking) but very convenient.
Cons: We only stayed for 1 night, wish we had more time :)
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We enjoyed our return to la Tureta. Quality remains and the little square opposite the terrace is livelier with families and couples taking an evening stroll to enjoy the cool evening air.
6.8 Good
Pros: The front desk staff were extremely helpful and friendly.
Cons: It was hot and little air so we had to sleep with the window open and there are houses behind the hotel with noisy dogs and people up all hours so not 'comfortable'. I had put in my booking.com query to only show hotels with breakfast included and it was not so that was unfortunate and an added expense.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely small hotel with very personal service and scenic surroundings. Easy to get to Bellinzona castles and plaza. Peaceful beautiful area.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: very nice, very personal place to stay! Everybody is super friendly and helpful and not one moment you have the impression people do want to help you! I have been in countless hotels but rarely I had such a good service Place is clean, rooms are nice, bed quality is excellent, breakfast is good, a little bar is there as well. Pool ( we did not use) is heated and inviting, sufficient parking
Cons: on a very subjective level , we usually prefer King Size bed, they only have queen beds, but this really is subjective and not something to complain about
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Beautifully renovated property close to Bellinzona on a quite square in Giubiasco. Friendly and helpful staff. Spacious rooms that are decorated with old back and white photographs. Nice breakfast
Cons: Was close to perfect- one staff member made several mistakes in our dinner bill that we only realised after paying for the room and the extras. The owner was very embarrassed when we told her and immediately corrected the bill! So nothing major in the end. Great service- we will come back
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Large spacious rooms organisent in a Mediterranean setting, excellent air condition (exceptional high summer temperatures on the days of stay), marvelous breakfast with large choice of fresh products. Attentive management and personnel. Included public transportation made travel easy and convenient.
Cons: Client facing breakfast service could have been more client attentive.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very nice restaurant and friendly staff
Cons: There might be a problem with parking, as the one owned by hotel is really small.

7.5 Good
Pros: It was my first stay in Bellinzona. A pretty small city. The hotel was in walking distance to my customers and to the train station. Perfect. Description on booking.com was good. So no suprises. I would give an extra bonus for the blinds that really block all light.
Cons: I found an empty water bottle in the room and traffic on the street starts early.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a lovely find, and that very rare thing in Switzerland: a good deal. The location is perfect: a few steps from the amazing Collegiate church and great shopping. We didn't have a chance to eat at the restaurant, but the breakfast was lovely and so nice to have as part of the price of the room. The room was quiet, clean and comfy, and the staff was great. Highly recommend!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: very good and not rushed, in a very unusual setting with the rock formation being included in the decore.
Cons: Unfortunately the lift didn't work on arrival but the staff immediately carried our bags upstairs and the work started on the lift immediately to rectify it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Centrally located in pedestrian zone. Within walking distance of the train station.
Cons: Our front facing room was overlooking the restaurant, which was a little noisy.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Location, view of Castelgrande
Cons: Breakfast ripoff. Short staffed, poor choice in. Buffet. Not worth the $$$$
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, great restaurant and a wonderful breakfast. All the staff were exceptional.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Hotel Croce Fedrale is centrally located to all you want to see in Bellinzona-it is very close to 2 beautiful castles and a beautiful church. Very close to all kinds of shopping too. It is also very close to the train station. The building itself is quite old, but our room was comfortable and quiet. The front desk staff were very friendly as well as the restaurant staff. The gentleman at the front desk helped us carry our luggage up to our room as there are no elevators/lifts. If you are visiting Switzerland be sure to explore Bellinzona as it a real gem.
Cons: There are no elevators.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and history
Cons: Pillows
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location about 5 minutes or so from the railway station/bus station. Right in the town centre. Make sure you get your Ticino Ticket to cover your stay: this gives you free travel by bus and train for the length of your stay. There is so much to see and do in Canton Ticino that this ticket proved invaluable. The hotel staff were very friendly, polite and helpful. My wife and I were made very welcome. Some English was spoken, otherwise Italian of course or some German. The restaurant attached to the hotel was very popular with the locals, which was a good sign. The breakfast area for guests was separate.
Cons: No complaints!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location (as position) with very good facilities, quite a good breakfast, mostly nice and helpful staff, ticino card (we used for free train to lugano and decent discount on boat trip on lake Lugano), great views both from room and the breakfast area, acceptable parking rates in nearby garage ( hotel is pedestrian only, but garage is 2-3' away)
Cons: Noisy both late at night and early mornings as the room faced the main pedestrian avenue of the town; the hotel duties (check in etc) are done by people working in restaurant too, so it could get confusing sometimes (ask something, then someone else comes etc, have to ask again etc ); no elevator though we were only one floor up and at check in they took luggage to room, so it didn't matter that much
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location, comfortable, charming, great breakfast
Cons: Loved it all
7.5 Good
Pros: nothing impressive.
Cons: nothing dislike. just the noise from the restaurant on the first floor. (It owns the restaurant). It did not update the picture of the front of hotel , totally changed, you could walk passing by. It's rather to be a restaurant than a hotel.
Fattoria l'Amorosa - Bellinzona - Building
10
8.3 Excellent (95 reviews)
Overview Reviews
The Fattoria l'Amorosa farm is situated on a vast terrace between Sementina and Gudo, surrounded by its own vineyards, olive groves, pastures with Galloway and Angus cattle and forests. Treat yourself to peaceful nights in these scenic surroundings, 4 km west of Bellinzona. Enjoy great food in the restaurant or on the terrace and taste fine Merlot, Cabernet franc sauvignon as well as Petit verdot wines grown on site. Wireless internet is available free of charge in the entire Fattoria l'Amorosa.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Comfortable and clean room
Cons: Cyclic noise of machinery in bedroom Almost nonexistent WiFi in assigned room with nothing most of the time, which became ok in parking area as discovered on departure No facilities such as kettle to make tea Difficult check in re using phone to call somebody as nobody was available on the property .
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent stopover. Delicious dinner; the wine produced by this agriturismo is very good. Dog-friendly and very clean.
Cons: Nothing not to like. Everything excellent.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Cozy extremely small hotel on the mountain around the garden, very quite and picturesque
Cons: The rooms under the roof had extremely small windows, and we felt lack of fresh air.
7.5 Good
Pros: The location in the vineyards is truly gorgeous. Even though it is easy to access by car (5 minutes from belinzona), it feels a million miles away which is lovely. Some of the staff is very helpful (although others feel as if you are doing you a favour just by being there, and feel constantly stressed). The main dishes at the restaurant are good value for Switzerland, with very large portions of pasta / risotto, all of which were very tasty.
Cons: Overall, the size of the rooms and the quality of the service corresponds more to a simple B&B than to the expensive "agro-tourism" brand they label themselves as. There is nothing particularly wrong with the rooms, which are clean and charming enough, just not nearly nice enough to justify the price. Although the main dishes were good value at dinner, the add-ons were ridiculous. CHF50 for a bottle of wine grown in the vineyard you are sitting in and CHF8 for 0.5 litre of water from a filter just feels like they are trying to take "the most they can get" from every customer. Breakfast is not included in the booking.com rate, and we felt pressured to paying for it upfront. We felt this shows you are being overcharged in comparison to booking directly and also is really not acceptable at the style/price range this place is going for. When we did have breakfast, it was extremely simple (no eggs, 1 type of cheese / ham, cereal in a box etc). To be fair, when we didn't have breakfast one day (because it had been so unimpressive) they refunded us the extra charge for it, after a bit of back and forth. A little more service-orientation would take this place a long way from a very transactional experience to a really lovely place. Overall perfectly nice, but we will not be coming back at this price point.
6.8 Good
Pros: Rooms are nice designed. Position in the wine yard is nice.
Cons: Restaurant costs are high for dishes that look pretty basic (18 CHF an appetizer of Buffalo mozzarella, maybe is normal for Switzerland) . Breakfast option is not presented on Booking at all but they actually offer you breakfast on place (9 CHF), would be good to mention it directly on booking. There was a small misunderstanding with the staff, which was not nice, however it was solved positively.
Bellinzona Youth Hostel - Bellinzona - Bedroom
11
8.0 Excellent (486 reviews)

All public areas at the Youth Hostel Bellinzona feature disability access and a lift is available, as well. Only certain rooms have access to a barrier-free shower.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Swiss-level cleanliness. Friendly and helpful staffs.
Cons: The number of convenient plugs were limited. If they are used by someone else, you have to reach the rest by crawling under the bed.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything, a lovely walk from the trains station too.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We had a 3 Person private room. It was very nice. Two sinks in our room. Bathrooms were close and clean. Also nice showers. We had an amazing view out our window to a tower and wall of the fortress. There was also a terrace by the fortress wall which was very nice to picnic on! Absolutely lovely experience!
Cons: You have to pay an additional „ hostel international fee“ which was only mentioned once we received booking confirmation. This should be mentioned when booking on the site. Also that you should bring your own towel but we were able to loan out towels.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location with the castle in the background and the view from our top floor window. It was also close to the city centre.
Cons: Our room was really warm (probably because it was right under the roof). The ventilation in the bathroom turned right off when we left the bathroom, so the humidity stayed there very long. The shower cabin was poorly designed because it was very hard to keep the water from spraying all over the place. Also the check in time should be extended to a later time, since 20:00 is very early for arriving after a long daytrip at a hostel. However, it's great that we were able to check out in the morning, even though the earliest check out time could be a little earlier than 8 o'clock, since we wanted to leave for another daytrip that day.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff, fresh room and facilities, beautifully located next to a castle.
Cons: The breakfast was ‘student & budget friendly’, but not something you wish to eat for several days.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Stayed in a twin room with private bathroom. There was even a TV in the room, mostly (only?) Italian channels. Considering it is a hostel, the quality of accommodation and overall service is very good. The food selection at breakfast is limited (only cold, no eggs, etc.) but okay. I heard the coffee was quite good (I don't drink coffee so can't tell). The location is convenient - nice 10-15 minutes walk from the train station through the city center. We used the washing machine and dryer for washin our clothes and it worked just fine (it only accepts 1 and 0,20 CHF coins). Also the lockers at the reception were very convenient - big and for free; you only need a 2 CHF coin as a deposit.
Cons: Since the twin room that I stayed in was in the 5th floor right under the roof, the outside temperature was around 35-37 °C, and there was no AC, it was quite hot in the room even during the night. Also, if you keep your window open during night, the trains are quite loud. But I had no real trouble sleeping.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location and staff wonderful Sufficient space, clean, easily reachable
Cons: Very intense white LEDs light.
6.3 Good
Pros: Frustrating that there were issues with a child having a different surname to me (their mother). It was explained that this was a Swiss thing - which means Switzerland is still in the Middle Ages for women and their surnames. Limited staffing hours (no one there before 8am was also inconvenient.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice environment, and with excellent view out of my window!
Cons: Too much noise from the students who stayed the same duration but no staffs reminded these group guests.
6.8 Good
Pros: Good room, small but clean. Quiet place next to the center.
Cons: Breakfast buffet wasn’t great: old bread, unripe fruits, small choice.

6.8 Good
Pros: Breakfast staff were superb both days, always liked the place, in normal weather it is a lovely hotel with decent rooms.
Cons: In 40 degree heat, the lack of air conditioning made the stay an absolute nightmare. The room was so hot I had to soak a towel and cover myself with it and lie by the fan. Climate change will mean weeks like this will come around far more regularly, you need air conditioning.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Close to the railwaystation. Breakfast was alright.
Cons: When we visited Bellinzona it was very hot. The room was very warm and only had one fan.
7.5 Good
Pros: Superb location - very close to the train station. Very comfortable and clean accommodations for our party of 4 people senior people!
Cons: The lift was too small for 4 people with carry on suitcases.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location is really central, breakfast was better than expected and they did have car parking
Cons: The beds and the bedding is really poor and it drags down the whole feel of the room. Staff don’t really speak English which isn’t helpful if you have questions. It is. It is expensive for what it is, but you are in Switzerland and everything is expensive.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The view is perfect!
Cons: The lift is very small.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location. Good breakfast.
Cons: Close to everything.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The location is excellent, especially if you have a lot of luggage, it's a 5 minute walk away from the train station, 25 minute walk to Sasso Corbaro Castle, 15 minutes to Montebello Castle and 7 minute walk to Castelgrande. They have an elavator! There is a pizzeria in the restaurant of the hotel that makes great, reasonably priced pizzas and calzone. The staff is friendly, but not everyone speaks English, we got lucky with broken Italian and Spanish. If you have any food allergies make sure to let the restaurant staff know and they will accommodate your needs, or if you forgot to buy a wine bottle opener or need some eggs boiled, the staff will do everything in their power to help. Rooms are clean and some of them have views to the castles.
Cons: The beds are old mattresses, they dipped in, leaving me an uncomfortable niche in the middle to sleep in. My back hurt for days afterwards! The establishment will do themselves a great favor if they update their mattresses. The Wi-Fi is sketchy, but works ok enough to check emails, surf social media.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location Excellent, fan in room was a bonus, breakfast good.
Cons: The pillows were a bit hard for my liking but probably just fine for someone else
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Close to train station and room is clean and tidy and staff is very friendly
Cons: Nothing
7.5 Good
Pros: Being close to the station. The room was small but had the basics and enough for two people for three night. we had a room with a balcony with a nice view of the mountains and the castle. The room was very clean.
Cons: A bit noisy in the morning due to the construction work in front of the station. before you can take the lift you need to take around 6 or more stairs which were not mentioned in the information and was a little unpleasant for me as I traveled there with my grandma.
Overview Reviews
The Osteria Ritrovo dei Passeggeri is located at 800 metres above sea level, in the middle of nature with a marvelous view over the Lago Maggiore and the Ticinese Alps. It offers accommodation in a typical rustic style, with wooden interiors and antique furniture. The chef prepares local cuisine and barbecue recipes from grandmother’s time. The Osteria lies in the Valle Morobbia, which is located in the heart of the Canton Ticino, in a favourable position to reach all the valleys, lakes and surrounding towns within a short time. The Valle Morobbia is ideally suited for hiking (with snow shoes in winter), cycling, mountain biking and horseback riding. The difficulty of excursions is medium to low both in summer and winter thanks to the excellent trails available.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The meals offered were very good - local offerings were prepared to suit our groups needs The view was spectacular! A very charming place - I would stay there again!!
5.8 Okay
Pros: Dinner: delicious variations of local cheese. Breakfast was quite okay
Cons: small room
7.0 Good
Pros: Clean Good place
Cons: Bathroom not good
10.0 Excellent
Pros: My second visit. A well worthwhile return. Despite the bedrooms being excellent, I must stress that the Osteria is not a five-star hotel. It has a particular ambience that is very relaxing. Fantastic views, especially at sunset. The food is prepared using predominantly ingredients from the immediate surroundings.
Cons: The owner good company, the rooms with an individual taste/decoration, local food and wine
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very warm welcome, lovely setting, charming host with freshly prepared meals and excellent beer. The room was comfortable with nice touches and an excellent breakfast. The views when we awoke and could see where we were, wow, spectacular...
8.3 Excellent
Pros: quiet location with fantastic views, great food, very nice staff
Cons: nothing to complain about
7.0 Good
Pros: The place was very cozy, but the beds were a bit outdated.
Cons: The showers
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We liked the friendly, informal and family-friendly atmosphere at the osteria; beautiful setting of the mountain village with lovely views; the original, natural and essential furnishings; we appreciated the care and attention directly from the owner of the property.
6.8 Good
Pros: The owner was very friendly and accommodating.
Cons: The location is beautiful, but not easy to get to. The room was very basic and small. There is no option than to have Dinner at the hotel.
6.3 Good
Pros: We arrived very late and was still there and got us all settled.
Cons: The WiFi was not working. I think we used up all the data. Could be that it was a mobile device that had a data limit.
7.7 Good
Pros: The peace and quiet
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The host, Luciano, his on site restaurant and his knowledge of Switzerland. Luciano was extremely helpful in giving us information on road closures and scenic routes while touring Switzerland by car. We enjoyed it so much we stayed an extra night.
7.0 Good
Pros: The hotel manager was very nice, the food at breackfast and dinner was excellent. A little long way to arrive, but rewarded by a wanderful view on the mountains and a incredible peace.
6.4 Good
Pros: Simpel, small, lovely view of the valley. Excellent tip for a one night stay to or from south europe
7.2 Good
Pros: It was located close to Belinzona and reasonable cost for Switzerland. The bedroom was comfortable and I liked the 19th century style furniture. It was located on a windy mountain road and we stayed there to eat and enjoyed the views. The directions could have been clearer as we had a little difficulty finding it. The owner was very friendly and we enjoyed our stay. If in the area, we would definitely stay there again.
Cons: No
6.8 Good
Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful. The osteria has a covered wooden veranda where meals are served. Locals seem to dine here regularly, for breakfast and evening meals, drinks, cigars and so on. It is a very nice place to sit and watch the sun set over Locarno and the alps.
Cons: Vellano needs an earlier morning bus-service up the valley (earliest is around mid-day). This is not the osteria's fault of course.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly service and lovely hotel with great views. People should be aware that the hotel is up a very winding road into the mountains which is why you have such fantastic views. However this makes it remote so don't go expecting to be in the middle of town.
Cons: Nothing - it's great!
6.4 Good
Pros: Good position, quite and peacefull, our reason for staying was a stop over on the way to Italy.
Cons: Although the position of the hotel, the room and the staff where excellent, I felt is was a little over priced. The choice of food was limited, but good, breakfast was also good. I would probally stay again, but I think the price needs to come down a little.
4.4 Okay
Pros: the owners are very friendly and the view is stunning - your GPS will get a little stressed trying to find it - just keep driving up the hill and you will get there
Cons: only a new hotel with a slightly retro style - but the beds and pillows and linen are very poor - not good value for money, even in Switzerland

6.8 Good
Pros: Nice Shower
Cons: No staff to help check in all by vending machine check-in. People ahead of us got room we didn’t ; exhausted and dirty begged the one nice cleaning lady to get us in a room. Furthest hotel from town center.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast.
5.8 Okay
Cons: We have asked for a baby cot, and they did not install before our arrival (even, if it was late it was still under working hours for the check-in). We have requested when we arrived and the baby cot has been provided, however they gave it to my wife, which was alone, and asked if she needed help to carry an opened baby cot through the hotel
6.3 Good
Pros: The check-in/out and access to elevator and rooms is high-tech. No employees are involved in such processes. For the one-first time user such system, as myself, it is a mind task challenge. Once adapt, it is very handy.
Cons: Having nobody or any mean to help on unexpected needs. The bar was closed on sunday night.
2.5 Mediocre
Cons: The Hotel is located in Bellinzona Nord. There is nothing around the Hotel so you will definitely need a car to get around. There is no Rezeption / Front desk or what so ever. You have to check in at a computer and you have to check out at a computer. In addition there is no real lobby. When you enter the hotel it seems you are going to a bank ATM to get some money instead of checking in at a Hotel. The room was green, very very very green. I don't know how someone came up with the idea of so much color. The room itself and the layout would actually be quite good. If they would have left some wooden touches it would look much better. Positive feature is the small balcony of every room. The bathroom, oh well. It would be good in size but it is completely worn out. Towel racks are broken and laying on the floor, shower door handle broken etc. The shower is useless for a hotel. No love given to the rooms. Breakfast in the restaurant was below any canteen style. Cheese, cold cots and bread dried out. Selection is minimal and very low budget products. Coffee machine wasn't working and the only person working in the hotel this morning said they will solve it later. The room was full of flies. Tables were dirty and filthy. If you don't have to, don't go for breakfast. At this property you are simply a user and not a guest. Compared to the high room prices the service isn't worth a single cent. You don't see any staff anywhere in the hotel. This also reflects the bad shape and may broken items in the room. No one takes care. Every youth hostel is better. No, I would not recommend this property as there are other options. Notes: - Paul the Sheep does not get any benefits from the Hotels/Airlines etc. - Paul will always pay for the services in order to be able to rate freely and truly about the experiences. -If you are interested in more details, please send me a private message and I will be happy to share.
4.5 Okay
Cons: The breakfast is really not up to 3 Star standards. Service is basically not existing (if you do not count the check-in machine as a service). All in all poor value for the money that is being asked.
6.8 Good
Pros: Good breakfast and location
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location close to the highway. Very clean.
Cons: The check in was difficult and there wasn't instructions about the use of the lift!
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Shower controls

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Easy check in, were able to get a key and leave bags in the room even though it wasn’t ready.
7.0 Good
Pros: The rooms are clean and the Hotel is very central in Bellinzona. The beds where fine, the temperature was pleasent - have to saw that it was one of the worst snow storm weekend of the year and it was freezing cold outside. The shower was fine, too.
Cons: I find the hotel over priced for what it is. It has a youth hostel or basic apartment rental feel to it, but the price is like a 3* hotel. I would say the price is 25-30% to high. Very unpersonal and no one is going to go an extramile to make a guest feel welcome.
6.3 Good
Pros: Excellent location : 5min from the train station and castle
Cons: Bar closed on sunday so no option for breakfast. Slow wifi. Room ok but it's quite noisy
7.5 Good
Pros: Very close to the station

Cons: The room faces the main road. It's very noisy.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: food very good, wide choice of menu for breakfast and evening meal. very easy to find with ample free parking
Cons: would have been nice if rooms with air con were available, it was a very hot day(37c) so a bad nights sleep was to be expected, otherwise a great time.

Cons: All as expected, much the cheapest and value for money(for SWITZERLAND). Stay here annually on way to italy.
7.5 Good
Pros: The view and the garden, it was clean
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Fresh crepes at breakfast were delicious. The dinner was also excellent. The rooms were just what we needed for a one-night stay while we were travelling through the town.
7.3 Good
Pros: The location is fabulous and the open restaurant/grill area is very civilised. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the grill night (which seems to be a major event on weekends) was tremendous and we were even served by Mrs Owner who is a busy and dedicated person. Own parking area and small kids play frame/jungle gym tacked on to the open-air section of the restaurant was very useful too. Wood-burning pizza oven created large and tasty pizzas and the grill menu was a winner too. 45 minutes from Gotthard tunnel so no queues to rest of Switzerland - magic. Pedestrian area around the hotel quite nice and a few other bars/etc around if you wanted. Furniture basic but clean and well maintained.
Cons: No a/c in our room and it was a 38c Ticino summer's day. Hot night! Not sure if a/c available.
6.7 Good
Pros: The staff were very friendly. The room was spacious and clean with a good cot for the baby.
5.0 Okay
Pros: As our daughter is diabetic and as there was no fridge or freezer in the hotel room, we had to constantly ask them to provide us with the drugs on a regular basis, using the kitchen facilities They were fully supportive. Close to Bellinzona itself and only 25 minutes drive to Locarno.
Cons: Breakfast was basic.
6.0 Good
Pros: Excellent location, just round the corner from the main square, but quiet at night.Ample parking next to the hotel and very pleasant outdoor eating/ BBQ area as well as bar and dining room. Prices reasonable (by Swiss standards!) so good value for money all round. Also easy to find and close to Bellinzona, where hotels are much more expensive, likewise Lugano which can also be easily visited. Very clean and good room for the price. Pleasant staff.
Cons: The bed linen! They seem to have used linen for a single bed on a double - duvet was no-where near big enough to cover 2. Also not great quality, so not very comfortable
5.7 Okay
Pros: People were very kind with the customers. It was very welcoming.
Cons: The third bed was not so comfortable.

7.5 Good
Pros: For the low cost we got what we paid for. A place to sleep for one night.
Cons: Bed was hard
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: room was clean but very basic for the money.
Cons: check-in quite unfriendly, location is noisy at night (behind the station, a bit shady area) and at the moment at a one-way street uphill, where early morning traffic is running uphill into the city. Next to the hotel is an abandoned/demolished building, not a pretty sight. Hotel was not offering breakfast, after returning from putting our luggage in the room the reception desk was closed already, all dark and no hospitality at all. On checkout still all closed and keys to be left in the mailbox.
6.3 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Dated in a 70’s kinda feel...
6.8 Good
Pros: Very closed to the train station. Good breakfast served.
Cons: After 8pm they want to charge you $30.00 CHF for late check in. But what bother me most is that when I was ready to check out there was no one around to give back the keys and the elevator was locked you could not use it to go to the ground floor, so you have to drag the bags down stairs and exit through a side door. And, I had to call the hotel to find out where to leave the keys. That was a bit annoying!
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: It was near to the train station.
Cons: The room was not cleaned well and the bathroom was even worse! And last but not least the owner charge me for the breakfast 10fr for the first day. But the second day when I was tried to pay him for the breakfast he charge me the double and told me that is to cheap the 10fr. When I ask him why he charge me less the day yesterday and why the catalog with the price list says 5 fr per person for the breakfast he told me that is too expensive for him and he can charge me us the first day!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: basic but very clean, comfortable and friendly staff
2.5 Mediocre
Cons: We booked two nights but slept in our car the second night...
7.0 Good
Pros: Great location thirty seconds from the train station.
Cons: Bunk bed was very squeaky and wobbly. Tv small and very far making it hard to view.
5.8 Okay
Pros: good location, in front of the train station. not bad to spend one night in transit. I arrived later than they expected and they called me to make sure someone is there to give me a key. I didn't see anything in the website (of booking) saying that they dont have someone in front desk at night.
Cons: Expensive for what it is. Bathroom small and uncomfortable and the water in the shower don´t go down well. Breakfast very basic, small choice.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location close to the station.
Cons: Small room.
