Staff very friendly and helpful.
Older well maintained property which was very clean. The manager telephoned me at 9:30 p.m to ask when I would be arriving. Hotel requires 2 days notice to cancel. There is no real breakfast and the price is too high for the product.
Updated furnishings inside the room (queen bed, microwave and frig, Jacuzzi bathtub) with exception of two old, worn arm chairs. very good bathroom facilities. No noise insulation, small, tight parking lot, other guests warming up their diesel pickups for 15 minutes at 5:30 am. No complimentary breakfast. Inconsistent maid service. No cable TV guide in room.
The room was great! Nice and clean. Nice tv and good location. The staff when we checked in was a bit rude but the man who checked us out was very nice
The pillows were ok, so was the shower. Just don't stay here, unless you have to for maybe $50
The location was good, which made getting in and out fairly easy. They gave us a room that impregnated everything we owned with that stale, musty stench of cigarette smoke and ash. At first we didn't think it would be that bad, and we didn't really have the time to waste complaining. But wow, we should have asked to change rooms! Then again, they never gave us a choice for smoking / non-smoking rooms. Also no outlets conveniently located. AND, we got no maid service for the 3 days we were there. They just dropped off new towels. So at the end of 3 days we had a pile of 9 scratchy towels.
Room was clean. Bathroom smelled of strong disinfectant. No mold. Carpet decent. Shower was clean. Check in and check out were fast and easy. No electrical outlets at all on bed side of wall. We had to go by an extension cold to plug in sleep apnea machine. Small old tube TV and older decor.
This place was horrible charged me an extra day when i booked it to arrive at 1 am. first room we where given was trashed with the bed flipped up against the wall staff members where rude, and the room i was finally given was dusty and smelled rate negative stars if i could!!!
No free WiFi
It was cheap It was gross
made a reservation but they didn't have a room with 2 beds when i arrived
Short walk to Six Flags Dirty sheets, cochroaches in room.
Nothing! Asked for s non smoking room at 10:30 am came back at 8, had to move multiple people around to get us non smoking . My husband and 2 year old have chronic asthma this is why it is a necessity. When I got to room it was clearly a smoking room. Immediately went to check out and employee says "well we try to keep it non smoking, but doesn't always happen" they gave me refund however had to travel 30 minutes away for another hotel! Not a safe area either.
Nothing!!!!! to be so close to Six Flaggs Vallejo, it sucks rooms are smelly and dirty. My room was ready had to wait over 30minutes, overall don't want to stay again!!! 1st my room was not ready, after I stopped at 10:30am and told the lady on the front office I was heading to six flaggs, I would be back at 3pm. "She said yes at 3pm" it was not ready. 2nd room was disgusting and smelled really bad. 3rd no toilet paper and when I ask at 5pm she said room not ready??? Really suck, I regret booking this hotel I felt bad for my son because it was his birthday.
Good value, friendly staff, comfortable
Really didn't feel too safe here.. Make friends with the night security guard to have a second set of eyes on your car. Sketchy neighborhood!
Easy access to interstate Bed, noise, bathroom tub not draining
The price was good for our budget. I'm bummed that they decided to close the pool forever, we've always enjoyed being able to use it on previous trips. We also found 4 cockroaches and the words on the ac were rubbed off so it was kinda hard to know how to get it to work. Plus it leaked
Close to my location of traveled purpose Car was damaged
Clean, big, nicely decorated only serve coffee in morning
Clean and comfy N/A
Easy to find. Nothing like photos. Grass is dead, pool is dirty, no lounge chairs. Room smelled like cat pee. Dog barking all night.

I really liked the location, it was easy on/off the freeway. The motel had great customer service!! ;) The mattress was too firm which made the bed very uncomfortable.
The water pressure of the shower Didn't like the lumpy bed old blanket and quilt, the room smelled smoky even though it said it was non smoking; when I got home my clothes smelt like smoke. The room was out dated and in need of a great remodel.
The location was easy to get and out of. The room was very small and lacked basic amenities like an iron and blow dryer. We booked the hotel because it had a pool but we're shocked to find it was filed with dirt. Hotel staff said they filled in the pool last month.
Description said there was an outdoor pool, there was not. Not a great place to take your family, felt unsafe.
When we first got to our room, the very first thing was the light/fan in the bathroom screamed! at us. We called the front desk. After the light warmed up it stopped. Then the toilet was backed up they had to give us a plunger! I don't think the floor has ever been moped! The fan vent was thick with dust and cobwebs. Our friends that stayed in another room had to go to the front desk because their shower head broke in their hands when they went to use it. The staff was very nice.
It was better than sleeping in my car because I could shower and us a toilette. The front desk staff. When we checked in the robotic like staff at the front desk said the computer was down and didn't have our reservation information. Even after I showed him the email confirmation for $52 he insisted that since he didn't have his system up and it was the weekend the rate was $70. This place wasn't even worth $50! We said no thanks and were about to leave when he said he'd honor the price we reserved it at. How frustrating when I went to the trouble to book this in advance and I have to argue how reservations work to someone who's in the lodging industry. The room is an old run down room recently painted and maybe recarpeted. Same old furniture and smell. We literally just needed a place to sleep for 8 hrs and a shower but I won't be doing this again.
Nothing. Location is right next to the free way we got the worst rooms of the place. Roach infested, dirty, smelly , the side closer to the free way. I hated it. We stayed for two nights. When we arrived, at about midnight, there were 3 cops just hanging out patrolling the place, and bolted security was a female. This place looked to ghetto for me. We all woke up got ready went to sixflags all day and when we got back one of my 4 rooms wreaked like weed. Not a single one of us smoke. Then the guy at the FD tried to accuse us of smoking in the room when we were gone all day, this place is horrible every room had a roach. DO NOT STAY HERE!
The rate was low and they claimed to be a 3 star hotel The main complaint I have about our stay is that the shower only had luke warm water with a shower head that was at a height for a child. I am 5'3 and it was barely tall enough for me to fit under. The water never got warmer than tepid and there was no pressure. The TV cable was run through the wall like it had been spliced several times to go to each of the rooms and the signal was grainy because of it. This hotel should be a 1 1/2 to 2 star rating at best.
Despite the official no refund policy, the manager did give us back almost all of our money, when we decided not to stay. Everything was filthy: the door, walls, carpet with many many stains, nightstand. The tub surface was peeling away. The room smelled terrible. The cover, sheets, blanket and pillowcases were all stained. The image on the TV looked very grainy.
The bathroom looked recently remodeled with granite shower walls, counter, and floor tile. There was a large flat screen TV with directTV. The room had a refrigerator and microwave. The bed was comfortable. The location was good. The price was good. The room was dark and small. There is traffic noise from the street. Worst of all the room smelled sour and the air coming from the heater - AC unit was stale smelling. The continental breakfast was very basic, but I didn't expect much for the price we paid.
Nice bathroom, had mini fridge and microwave, very quiet. Beds were quite small, room could be cleaner, quite expensive for what we received.
Good value for the money. Easy access to good restaurants and within walking distance (10-15min) from the bart. Great friendly staff. We got upgraded to a larger room (since they had the vacancy) for no extra cost, and also left our car there for the day (free parking) after checking out. Hotel is very old, and the facilities are run down. It was ok as a place to crash at for a night, but it's not a "nice" hotel by any stretch of the imagination.
That it was in the city of Berkeley. Filthy, run down with smelly rooms. There was an unstable patron who required an ambulance and several police cars. Blocking my car and more than probably scratching it. All this occurred late and was very disruptive to our sleep.
The location is great (North Berkeley) near plenty of restaurants. Exterior is quaintly decorated, interiors are nice and have a home-y touch. Unfortunately the walls are very thin so be prepared to hear conversations clearly from the adjacent rooms. The water lines are especially loud. I am not a light sleeper but it is difficult to rest when you're woken every time a neighbor turns on a sink. Additionally, like many motels of this grade, the WiFi is totally overloaded. It is possible to connect to the network and check your email if you're patient. Expect to get internet connectivity in 15 second intervals every 2 minutes or so.
If you like good old-fashioned funky motels, you'll love this one. It could be anywhere in America, but it is a bargain in Berkeley. And the sushi bar which shares the parking lot is terrific.
The only thing I liked about my stay here was its proximity to various business: Acme Bread, 4th Street shopping No AC - just a small round fan hung up on the corner of the room, old musty carpeting with a film on it (had to go to walgreens to purchase socks to wear when in), old linens/curtains/scratchy towels, indifferent help desk.
Great staff. Heater barely works (even though it's February); it's dark; the shower hangs so low I had to bend to use it and I'm only 5'7"; the decor is dark, depressing and cheap; the electric outlets were scarce--just an awful place that isn't worth it compared to other motels in Berkeley.
Clean, simple room, great for when you just need a place to sleep and shower. Hot water stays hot so you don't have to worry about your travel companion using it all up. Love the grocery store and restaurant options across the street. Safe area. The toilet seat looked a little worse for wear, I couldn't tell if it was dirty or just showing its age. Also, the lighting by the mirror is too harsh and makes applying make-up a difficult task.
Price. The bed was totally worn out.
The close to pinole The front desk attendant is hard to understand and is rude at times and not willing to make compromise for long time Coustmer. Usual one star hotel without a lot of low lifes

Umm nothing For the price of this hotel it wasn't what I expected
I always come back. Very nice staff. Clean room. Quiet atmosphere.
Queen bed room with only one bed. I was under the impression there would be two beds.
Easy parking and access to businesses close by/coffee places. Really noisy mostly from freeway noise.
It was in a nice convenient location. The staff were great. The Everything was clean and neat. Room smelled like smoke even though it was a non smoking room. I should have complained and asked for another room or some spray to kill the nasty smoke smell. Restroom did not have a privacy lock and the vent did not work.
Clean, location, good price Non smoking room smelled, no lid for the toilet, no shampoo/conditioner and extra charge for wifi
The decor of rooms were quite nice, modern and clean. A/C didn't work and it was over 100 that day outside. Creepy guy slept in his car outside of our room, I called and asked security to come by twice to check it our which they did not. Traffic noise from nearby highway was awful, building needs double panes windows.
Cigarette burns on the comforter.
There was a fight in the parking lot and a heroin addict wandering the grounds the whole night. Definitely an adventure!
Rooms have been updated sometime in the last few years, it appeared. My room was reasonably comfortable and included both a mini-refrigerator and a microwave. The price of my room was very high for this grade of motel. Some items showed signs of wear, although overall the room seemed reasonably well-maintained.
Cheap. Wifi didn't work and they didn't inform me before I checked in that the pool was under construction.
The location on the highway was good and convenient for traveling through. And the price was good for the area. The room was very nicely kept and clean. The outdoor pool was open, though not heated, so was cool, but acceptable for the time of year. The flat screen tv worked well, as did the HBO channels. The king bed was comfortable. The shower head put out a very firm spray which was uncomfortable to use for very long. The air conditioning unit worked well, but didn't have a setting for cooling with the fan on continuously. The unit cycles on and off as cooling is needed, and it was quiet; we like the ones that the fan stays on for background noise. There were no tissues in the room. We requested them at the office, and the attendant said he would bring some to the room, which he never did. Maybe they don't supply them anymore. We could hear the tv from the adjoining room, but it was quiet after 10 pm so didn't bother us.
Great value, location, and convenience. Friendly staff
