It's a beautiful old building. the rooms were in a very poor state of repair. facilities and decor were outdated and very tired.
customer service was very good !!! no all was very good
The room I was in was set back - well away from traffic noise etc and it looks like most rooms are like that. Room was large and well-equipped. Car Park is very small and not well sign-posted.
Direct access to my room through courtyard but could get to rest of hotel through internal doors for breakfast etc Friendly helpful staff with an individual cafetiere of excellent coffee to go with my order of continental breakfast. Location great for visiting and sightseeing in Berkhemsted
Impossible to fault really - the car park could be bigger but I still got a place. None
Good atmosphere, helpful staff
Room suited my requirements as a single traveller Breakfast could be improved upon. Some fresh fruit and yogurt. Scrambled egg instead of a fry. Otherwise adequate
comfortable and clean accommodation. I thought price was rather high.
Convenience of location In desperate need of modernisation
Nice decor good size bathroom with a bath rather then just a shower None really
Good breakfast, large and comfortable bed, quiet location and very clean. The hotel takes 100% as a deposit. There should be no need for this if the booking as guaranteed by a credit card - they will still be protected in the event of a no-show. Taking the cash early sounds like a business with a cashflow issue. I would probably not book the same hotel again purely because of this.
Excellent location by the airport, nice and professional personnel, professional services, clean
Convenience. Restaurant good for what it does. Order off the specials board. Very well sound-proofed.
Excellent location close to airport. Very quiet and comfortable room with good shower. Complimentary breakfast was fine with good quality ingredients .On a freezing cold weekend, the hotel was very warm and cosy. Whilst dinner was of acceptable quality, the menu was perhaps overpriced because of the captive market. I do resent paying £5.90 for a glass of not very good wine.
Location location location Nothing bad
the attention given by check-in staff and the comfort of the rooms, good food none
closeness to airport, clean, efficient room no warning that there would be a charge for parking the car overnight check in staff short on charm!
Hotel is very near to airport and i was satying to pick up some friend of mine and it became very easy for me .
nice having a bar, free breakfrast buffet, coffee and tea started at 430am. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Ran out of things at breakfast time
The breakfast was a 10/10 night staff on reception left us waiting for entry into the hotel, until he had finished a phone call. Barman ignored us when we tried to order food and drinks and served a customer who had obviously been in the bar all night giving tips to the staff! Night staff were very poor to say the least!
Location, excellent breakfast buffet, good food in evening offerings Unable to call internationally and night staff had no clue about solving situation.
Restaurant staff seem to be bothered by our presence and not too will to see if we required service at all or not
Location for airport. Good bar and restaurant area unusual for an Ibis. Usual Ibis cleanliness.. Watch out for the pricing policy. The published rate is a fiction. Always book in advance to fix the rate.
Nothing The room was very small The shower was very small Nothing was good about this place
perfect location for very early flight next morning
the bed was really comfortable none
The location from the airport, very convienient. Ideal for a business person or a family looking for a one night stay. Staff very friendly and efficient There are no complaints
It's less than 15 minutes walk to Luton Airport The bed in the first room they gave me apparently hadn't been changed from the last occupant since it contained several long black hairs. I asked for a different room and was given one, but this changeover ate into the five hours sleep I was already limited to and should not have been necessary.
No obvious directions from the airport terminal to Ibis Hotel for guests not arriving by car. There is a regular bus service (stop en route to Parkway) but it isn't well promoted.
Room was comfortable, cosy and very clean. Lobby/bar area was cold, was freezing outside but maybe heating could've been turned up.
We arrived late and the staff were welcoming, friendly and gave an excellent service. Location very good. 24-hour bar a great asset. Room was much too small, very clostrophobic. We stayed in room nbr 106 (ground floor), window faced the car park and we had no privacy - only if the curtains were drawn. Curtains were damaged and did not close properly. Price of gbp 79 far too high for these standards.
Friendly staff at the reception. Within 10 minutes' walk from the Luton airport. We sat at the hotel restaurant table for 20 minutes without even being noticed by the staff. And oh yes, we tried everything except shouting. They just walked on by, so we left to dine elsewhere. The Internet tv image resolution was lousy and the tv channels did not show properly (antenna or cable defect?)
The buildings and grounds are superb, the spa is very good but most importantly the staff were very friendly and helpful, particularly Anthony at concierge.
The restaurant in the hotel, The Wernher, was superb. The food was totally excellent. Worth every penny! The service was very good too. The hotel itself is beautiful , inside and outside. The grounds are lovely. When i booked, i was given the impression that the room would have views of the grounds,as that was part of the room description. But we were given a room that was far away from the grounds and below the ground floor. But the room itself was gorgeous.
For a stately home it had a homely atmosphere.
Every aspect was ideal for the peaceful, luxurious and celebratory stay for which we were looking. The management of the restaurant seemed to leave something to be desired. Whilst the staff were pleasant, helpful and courteous, many of them appeared to be wandering around aimlessly as if they did not know what they were supposed to be doing. Further, there must surely be something to be said for guests to be allocated tables for the duration of their stay, rather that allocated haphazardly at each meal.
There was insufficient lighting in the bathroom and bedroom to make up. Please please allow pets!
Hotel was Luxurious, Staff friendly and Spa facility amazing, would Highly recommend. No, all good
Luton Hoo is a superb hotel The staff are excellent and very professional the buildings impressive and the dining rooms spectacular .. we did not play golf but we did think the course looked very boring ...the spa was wonderful and the rooms very comfortable and extremely spacious We had a room in the coach house [ an ungrade not asked for but offered ! ] It was above the pro shop of the golf course and very noisy [ beware ]
i booked for my 21st wedding anniversary as a surprise for my wife. The entire weekend was absolutely brilliant, outstanding historic building, great facilities, wonderful staff, fab food, we enjoyed the spa too. We will recommend to freinds and return without doubt. no
- Pet friendly - Beautiful building with beautiful rooms and beautiful gardens - The kitchen is just regular - We had to queue for the breakfast because the room is too small - We had to reserve even for the 5 o clock tea hours in advance

The hotel itself is grand and beautiful with lots of character. The staff were very friendly, the room was comfortable and the food was delicious. We loved pre dinner drinks and the atmosphere in the lounge with the fire burning. The swimming pool and sauna and steam room were great. The jacuzzi had the most powerful jets and we thoroughly enjoyed being the only guests that afternoon as they only just opened the pool. The walk around the hotel is lovely with the secret garden making it more attractive.
Lovely new and clean hotel, friendly porofessional staff and a very comfortable night. The restuarant is large and rather lacks atmosphere. £9.50 extra per person for breakfast a bit expensive so we gave it a miss.
Very nice room with upmarket fittings. Paper thin walls between rooms. You could hear everything going on. Very poor breakfast that doesn't do justice to the Hilton brand. Surprisingly the breakfast was no better in quality over a premier Inn. Premier Inn comes out on top in terms of quietness. Their doors don't slam.
Nicely decorated reception area and room. The location isn't great for central Luton.
chack in took too long
Hotel staff very friendly, room very clean and comfortable
the cleanliness of the room and facilities in general was quite impressive the shower was faulty in my room, sort it out guys! it's an unnecessary blip on your otherwise unblemished record
For the £65 I paid I wasn't expecting one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in and I include in this list some prestigious 4 and 5 star hotels and lodges. The room was large, well appointed, the bed supremely comfortable, the shower large and like standing under Niagara Falls and the free internet access and widescreen tv were an added bonus. We stayed in the hotel for dinner and were very impressed with the quality and value. Breakfast at £9.95 was also excellent. I cannot fault any aspect of this place and would highly recommend it to anyone. Let's hope that once the smell of fresh paint subsides the staff are equally enthusiastic.
so the bed was very comfortable as was the room in general the view from the room wasn't fantastic but thats a stretch to find something wrong to say
the perfect comfort of beds, the cleanliness of the room and bath, the restaurant and its prices No bus to and from the Luton airport. Distance to Luton Airport; although on websites it says the hotel is pretty close to the airport, actually it is not that close.
Clean. New. No bar facilities in room. No bar late for customers. Cold reception. Staff foregin and not very warm on arrival. Food awful
Lovely room, excellent value for money
I was very impressed with the decor and the rooms. I also loved the views and the breakfast was great. I can't think of anything I didn't like - and I work for a hotel chain!
Our stay although for only one night was perfect for our occasion, the staff was very great, and the setting was perfect.
The service of the staff, quality of the food and the location were all very good
It is a beautiful hotel, the staff were helpful, and the room clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay. The service at dinner was exceptionally slow, we had to remind waiters of items we ordered.
food takes too long
spacious room Room was cold on arrival and heating hard to adjust, it was a a/c unit and noisy on heating fan setting
Sapcious comfortable room but couldn't regulate heat No heating in bathroom
pleasent stay kind and attentive staff
Very nice building and setting No Wi-Fi in the rooms
it was very comfortable food was good parking was excellent, its location to london with transport was excellent. will be staying there on all the rest of my business visits. did not have a enough time to relax and enjoy hotel
Convenience.Location. Size of Room, lack of storage eg drawers
The reception staff were very helpful and friendly. I had no trouble with having to kept medication in their fridge and freezer blocks in the freezer. The 'hot' selection at breakfast was cold and there could have been more selection in the hot range e.g. tomatoes, baked beans.
Excellent hotel. Clean and basic. Excellent value for money.
Nothing. The whole experience was dire. The evening food (curry and rice) was amongst the most disgusting, overpriced rubbish I have ever had.
Clean bathroom terrible service - when we got there no one was around to let us in the car park so waitied about 15 mins. At check in no info was given about check out or breakfast time and also did not inform me about the pin code we needed to leave the car park!!! Lack of information!!
We supposed better service 3 persons room was not for 3 adults. 1 person didn´t have sufficient place on bed.
a good buffet breakfast
The comfort and cleanliness of the bedrooms I think the hot breakfast could be a little more better cooked and immaginative
Room only had been set up for one person and when i rang down to ask for a mug so my partner could have a cup of coffee, which was also limited, i was told to go to reception to get one. Check in was slow as receptionist was also serving at the bar and we had to wait a while to check in. Car parking was very limited and this is not advertised on the description of the hotel.
the bed had a heavy night.
Bed Comfortable Wedding Party music continued until 1 A.M. This was not made clear when booking, I was not part of the wedding party. This meant that I was unable to sleep until after 1 A.M. The shower rail just fell down. No one was in the bathroom at the time. This rail had a very poor way of securing it to the wall. This meant that the second shower had to be taken without the use of the shower curtain.
Pleasant enough The room was quite a journey with cases
Very efficient staff and quick check out
we have stayed here several times, always good some late night noise from guests
The hotel was lovely with friendly staff and clean rooms. I found the bar rather expensive compared to others and as the hotel is out of town you are not really able to go to any other bars. Over all it was a nice stay. Bar prices
Hotel was fine but be aware that the local rainbow taxi firm ! Rainbow are used by the Hotel and are extremley pricey and appear to be operating at extortonate prices for tourists . A 4 min ride to Rothampsted Manor on the outskirts of Harpenden was charged at 15.00 out ward and then £22.50 return , and that was before midnight !!
Excellent room facilities Bar running out of offer wines and food
Hotel staff very welcoming and polite, breakfast very good. Abit disappointed our room did not have a bath and bathrooms are very small.
Efficiency of booking. Staff welcome, their appearance, general handling of arrival and departure and friendliness Difficulty in finding room from reception and length of walk up and down stairs through what seemed like a maze to get to the room. My car was parked virtually outside the room but to get to it required a 200 yard walk. It was easier to illegally open the fire door! The state of repair of fittings was below standard: bedside light dimmer fell off and the shower control fell off. Water from the shower cascaded over the floor through poor design.
Not much really, was good evening as it was a friends 30th birthday party but room was a twin instead of a double which I paid for and the twin beds being put together(which I did myself even though the manager said she would send somebody up to do) were uncomfortable Read above
peaceful environment the room service menu and availability of food was restricted to only certain times
The pool and leisure facilities
Room was spacious, especially bathroom. Staff were helpful, communal areas very grand and the breakfast was lovely. Bed felt a little small - could have been more comfortable. Changing rooms for pool etc. very small and gym etc. a bit of a maze to reach.
Very helpful porter on arrival. Waiter service was very attentive and professional. Lovely restaurant setting. Rooms were airy and basic. Children not allowed to swim after 6pm, even though it was empty. Bathrooms were very dated and in need of complete overhaul. No mobile reception
The facilities available Lack of things to do in the surrounding area of Tring
Good size room & bathroom. Attractive lobby, stairway, restaurant room. Spotlessly clean room, though frayed around the edges. Excellent buffet breakfast.
we were made to feel 'special' by each and every member of staff the food was execellent the layout of the sauna/ steam room in relation to the pool was odd - you need to 'travel' along a corridor to find them.
Beautiful surroundings, polite and helpful staff, gorgeous room, room service was quick and the food was yummy and hot when it came up. Very romantic setting and would definitely stay again.
Quiet peaceful location, lovely room and excellent facilities, great staff, breakfast in room
warmth and comfort of room well prepared and served meals helpfull staff very relaxing and not having to rush to vacate room
Room, facilities very good I found the food very dissappointing (Pizza) Wake up call didn't happen
Latimer Mews was very modern and pleasant. The room was very comfortable and a pleasure to stay in. Also being able to use the gym and pool facilities was a bonus. We had a reall good rate for our 1 night stay. The bar and lounges looked in need of redecoration/renovation. Some of the other residents attending courses who also had rooms in the Latimer Mews were rather noisy during the night.
Meeting up with my friends. I had to move rooms as so many things were wrong with the first room I was out in - not TV remote, the phone next to the bed didn't work and worst of all the toilet didn't flush properly. However, the hotel did try to fix things but were unable to and offered me another room without any fuss.
Location, buildings, quality Breakfast staff were not good, had to be asked for coffee, then again for milk and then again reminded for sugar for example!
good value ang luxury facilities nothing
The room was very clean and modern, the bathroom was the best thing though, bath was lovely with a lovely big mirror and nice soaps/shower gels to use. The room was quite cold when we got in.
Swimming pool complex
Lovely location and grounds My room was like being in a sweat box. Far too hot to sleep and on this experience I would not go there again. Staff comment was 'yes it is hot here' - brilliant!
Unfortunetly there were 2 weddings on over the which made breakfast on the first morning difficult as we had to go over to the other part of the hotel to eat and the second morning there were lots of children around which made breakfast loud and uncomfortable. Apart from that a great stay.
Lovely location and very comfortable accomodation with helpful and v friendly staff
Breakfast excellent Stairway to room too steep and comparatively dangerous to older people
Friendly, helpful staff
Independant access. Great food. Individual attention.
Friendly staff Food and drinks very expensive!!
The staff were really friendly & the breakfast very good. The room was also nice and warm on arrival
location, service, quality of service, comfort, price, parking facilities. It would be difficult to be improved upon. Excellent service throughout nothing here
The rooms are detached from the main building, so you have an excellent feeling of privacy.
Excellent service overall None
The staff at The Boxmoor have always been helpful and this stay was no exception. Lights blew in the room which they were unable to fix but they brought us standard lamps immediately. They also offered different room if we wanted. If you need an early start the breakfast time is limited from 8.30 to 9.30 in the morning on a weekend. In previous stays this has not been suitable as we had to leave before.
staff were superb, food was good. the quilt was too hot in bed and there was no alternative
The room was spacious, the receptionist was helpful and there was a good trainconnectio to the city of London.
The staff was very accomodating in providing assistance in booking a room due to no reservation being received from Booking.com. They initially had only 4 of the 5 nights available but found another nearby site for the 5th night. On the last day, they had a cancellation and were able to cancel the other reservation so we could stay.
Good parking, rooms of good size with large comfortable beds. The freshly cooked breakfast was excellent and good value. The bathroom could have been cleaner. Attention to detail is important. Provision of a toilet brush would be a good thing.
Friendly and helpfull staff. Rooms comfy. Quiet. Good food.
Checking in was pleasant. Managed to switch rooms from twin to double-- very helpful. Room was old, stale smelling and I questioned why they had many rooms available and other local hotels did not. It is not a £90 per night hotel
Nice Comfortable Room with good eating facilities
Comfort of the matress and size of bed (large) Had to wait a while to be served after being seated, was not sure if we had been forgotton.May need more staff? Also no street lighting, better if car park lit up with signs.
A beautiful location overlooking Chipperfield Common. Beautiful 18th Century hotel, with fabulous hotel suites, designed for luxury and comfort. No.
A lovely village pub overlooking the common. Good food and willing service. We had a comfy bed and the hotel was quiet and peaceful at night. Perfect for what we needed. Slight damp smell in room with damp marks on walls in some areas. Shower-head wasn't adjustable.
Very good and secure rooms. Very confortable. Would have liked an easy chair or settee for relaxing on.
I had a very pleasant room, overlooking the watergardens. The room had a very comfortable sofa as well as a double bed and a desk which I used for writing at. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious. The flap over the controls on the heater was broken but it caused no problems.
Orered newspapers.where not their at 9a.M. Were ion bedroom on returning at 9p.M.Charged
convenient,good service,clean rooms,pleasant surrounds,nice staff friendly,comfortable
Clean, consistent with all publicity and marketing Very noisy air-conditioner which I turned off to sleep, room too hot and there was a fly which I couldn't get rid of. I did not alert reception since there didn't seem anything any one could do about these.
Great location in the centre of shopping area, friendly staff, very comfy bed!
The room was clean tidy and spacious, as was the bathroom, the staff were civil and friendly, the breakfast was very good and quick in arriving. We were not aware of any.
We stayed in the hotel because the location was fairly near to where we were going to a family birthday party and the nightly rate was very good. We had not previously stayed in a Premier Inn and were pleasantly surprised at the service and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The rain outside but there is nothing the Premier Inn can do about that.
The Staff were excellent curtious and very friendly also rooms were very clean and it was in an excellent location Nothing
Parking was not very clear and a little complicated
The kindness of the staff throughout our stay right down to the gardener.the staff were enthusiastic polite and energetic. we unfortunately booked a room on a night when a disco was held beneath it! The staff dealt with our complaints...it was deafening, really well and i am just about to make a new booking at the same hotel.
Great value for money. The staff were very polite and helpful, especially the lady on reception when we checked in. Unfortunately, my stay took place whilst a wake was taking place so it was very noisy but these things happen. The hotel rooms are very dated.
Good location and great staff Hotel didn't have any record of my booking but this was sorted out in about 15 minutes
Hassle free check inn, friendly ,helpful staff, in a convenient, central location to many attractions.
It is not too far from Luton Airport Bathroom fixtures need repairing. There were leaky faucet and noticeable wear and tear.
Anonymity, comfort, nice bar. I like this type of hotel where a certain standard is guaranteed.
Clean and resonably priced bed for the night - just what we wanted Only one bottle of water in room - 2 people in room. Check in very slow and tedious
There was a considerable delay in checking in - as the hotel had no record of my booking. I was not asked to produce the printed booking reference details - and did offer it to the receptionist a couple of times. Eventually I was checked in - but was made to feel as though I was being done a favour to have the rate at the rate on my booking reference.
Ease of access, handy for m1. Food and drink attached Air con not working and room was hot Toilet needed bleaching around the s bend Room had an unpleasant smell
Lovely bed!!! Thin walls...could hear people coughing next door.
The Hotel reception staff. Friendly, and very helpful
On booking we requested that my wife suffers with allergies and requires special conditions regarding hotel room ie no solvents, spray, toiletries etc in the room. Charlotte and Tracey ensured that they could accommodate our requirements and to them we owe many thanks. The room was excellent and quiet - there was no noisey residents and the 4 nights we stayed we had a good nights sleep. Please pass on our comments to the staff concerned. When we have to return to the Hospital we will book again. Many thanks. None to report.
Excellent value for money. The rooms were large and clean and the staff were friendly.
customer service focus was superb and cannot be praised highly enough. Excellent location
efficient pleasant staff, large rooms, dark rooms , good soundproofing and a decent breakfast
Parking provided Clean room with sufficient space to feel comfortable The breakfast, which although represented good value overall, was marred by the fact that no fresh filter coffee was available only hot water and instant coffee granules which one had to mix oneself.
The peace & quiet No
Your rooms are always warm and well fitted, clean and spacious. Would just like 2 sachets of hot chocolate instead of the usual coffee/tea in the room.
