Convenient to order breakfast, very friendly staff. Room was clean and comfortable. Has a great breakfast too! The bed was comfortable. And the people were nice. Super clean and comfy. Nice dinner bar area. Front desk employees were amazing! Employees preparing breakfast and servicing were great. Excellent customer service. Great location and facilities! Exceptional facility and personnel! All of the staff was very friendly and helpful. Food was very good. It was quiet and clean. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. It is close to a lot of restaurants and shops. Indoor pool. Very clean & in a safe area. Very clean and well located. It was clean, it was comfortable, the staff was super friendly and helpful! The food was so good too, it was nice having a café in the lobby so we didn't have to go out again after traveling. Highly recommend! Hilton Garden Inn Birmingham/Trussville was very nice and clean. Late night check-in with Marcus was great. He was very welcoming to my daughter and I for our overnight stay and our flight in the morning. The staff was outstanding! In particular Marcus was great. Now days customer service is hard to find. But Marcus displayed what customer service should be. Location was great. I usually stay at a different hotel in Trussville and I was skeptical. However, when I walked through the doors, I was pleasantly pleased. Clean, friendly, inviting hotel. I will come again. The staff were great, everybody was so sweet. The breakfast was delicious, the room was great and super clean and comfortable. The location is great, and the price we paid is definitely worth it. We really enjoyed our stay here. The location was perfect for a wedding I had to attend. The room was great but what really stood out was the friendly staff. They were outstanding. Staff is very friendly and helpful and nice. Very friendly staff well knowledgeable about EVERYTHING I NEEDED OR WANTED….
What are the cons of staying at Hilton Garden Inn Birmingham/Trussville?
Smell like mold and mildew. First room was stunk real bad. First room had a broken lock. They advertised a hot tub, but there has not been one there in a long time. The hotel front desk was not very nice and there was a huge caution tape in the lobby with what looked like water damage from the ceiling. They were not actively working on it. The air conditioning was horrible. There were two different controls. Took me a couple of hours to figure out which one actually worked the unit. It was noisy and overbearing when I said it for a little bit of heat. It fried me when I said it for a little. Parking layout is goofy. Bad internet. Breakfast was great bacon could have been taken off a little earlier so not as crispy. Meal was expensive for the little food that we got off the breakfast menu. Continental breakfast only consisted of a banana or apple and coffee. Pool water was too cold to be comfortable. Bathroom wall to base tile cleanliness, shower door edges cleanliness. The "a la carte" breakfast does not allow to go quickly. you have to order and then to wait for your meal. not fully adapted for business travelers. expensive.... I loved everything & will be back! Zero. Room smelled musty, hot tub not working, fridge started making noises around 3am and dirty workout room. The attitudes of kitchen staff. Nothing. What I didn't like Is that I didn't stay longer. No complaints. The blinds to keep the parking lot lights out of my room. They did not work, and the lights shined in all night. The house keepers and house men. Price was a little high and the temperature thermostat didn't work well. Carpet in the room was stained. They was break lady treated us. She kept trying to talk about to the other worker. I start to give her a piece of my mind. But learning to be a bigger person than that. The hotel does serve breakfast like almost every other hotel in the country right now. The only exception is that they charge extra for it. Not even discounted. $10-$13.00 every morning. I walked into the Hampton Inn next door, free breakfast! I was charged extra for breakfast even after paying for a room with breakfast included, total was more than quoted in total price, the pool and hot tub were both unavailable during our stay and wasn't sure why... I booked this room for the pool and when I got there the pool was outta order and I wasn't told until after I checked in. Breakfast s/b free for all guest. It was overpriced gir the stay. Stated there before, recently. And never paid what I pd for the weekend. Kept running out of hot water. Don't like taking cold showers. The hotel is old and dated, one of the worse Hilton's I've ever stayed. There was no complimentary breakfast. I liked everything about my stay. There is nothing that I didn't like. The wooden ramp at back door near elevator. My husband tripped going up sprained his ankle but he is fine now. renovation going on. Room wasn’t worth the price and pool wasn’t open no parking and door is locked at 11 and no staff to get in have to beat on door just to get in. The room was not as expected. I was told over the phone that the pool was open I get there find out the pool is closed. Check in time at 3pm. My room wasn't ready till 4pm. I requested a refund. My room was not cleaned upon request I stayed for 4 nights and never had my room cleaned. No toilet paper. I asked for water I wad told no I wad not a gold member.
