Gorgeous scenery and grounds. One of the most beautiful I've seen on a hotel property. The woman who checked us in was friendly. Our room had no temperature control, and it was way too hot. The bedside lamp didn't work. TV reception kept cutting out and resetting. Our room was right by the elevator, so we heard lots of loud conversing well into the night. The parking situation was pretty dire. Sometimes it seemed the walk to the car park was a little long. Downgraded us to a twin room because only two were traveling, even though we booked a larger room. The woman who checked us out was kind of unfriendly and short with us. Annoyed that we didn't remember our 4 digit room number at 7 am. I can barely remember my PIN.
Pleasently supprised by the high standard of this hotel. Staff were very professional but friendly and helpful. Room was excellant and breakfast had a varied choice hot & cold all very good.
The staff were great, the room was comfortable, the leisure centre was good too. Couldn't get a booking for the restaurant, there was a lot of noise on both nights between 3 and 5 am.
great hotel, cosy room and brilliant staff
the rooms were a great size and the bathroom was fabulous. also the onsite night club was great. the room were breakfast was served was small and we had to wait for a table.
Staff were so friendly. The personal touch is most important, in my opinion. Can't answer question re reviews below as haven't seen any and in a huury at mo!
pleasant surrondings lovely drive lots of character people like President Clinton and Man utd team and many more have stayed here our room though vrry big and spacious had musty smell which disappeared after windows opened
Clean, recently decorated rooms. Friendly staff. Lift not working due to refurbishment going on
Great food even though there was very large numbers to see to at a wedding
Much more room than I had expected, clean and spacious. Service was excellent Water faucet in bath shot everywhere.
great staff, lovely food. no. everything was perfect
Peace & quiet
Beautiful and stunning are the only words to describe the grounds and overall feel of the place. Had the WORST waitress for supper that I have ever had. Also when I went to check out there was a room charge for food that I had paid in cash for. Luckily it wasn't signed so they took it away without an issue.
The staff were very helpful the food superb & hot efficiently served. Will be happy to stay again if we are in the locality
We stayed here because it was a good price and from the pictures seemed nicer than staying in a "cookie cutter" hotel. Area was secluded from the surrounding roads/residential areas and we actually took a walk around the grounds just to see the scenery and such. Not so much a negative but 50 Euro/20min cab ride to International airport. Seclusion comes at a cost, not much nearby within walking distance. We were there on a sunday and the "facilities" (ie pool) closed at around 6pm but it does seem like most things in Ireland tended to close earlier than we were used to.
Staff were very friendly and the hotel itself was very nice. On arrival to our room on the first night of our stay the bin in the room was full and had not been emptied since the last occupants. Also I was disappointed in our room as it was a far cry from the rooms shown on the website, it was much smaller and alot more basic than the rooms on the website.
we stayed in a suite which was very spacious and not at all clostraphobic like alot of hotel rooms can be. It was not in the main hotel which we liked as there was a wedding taking place and we didnt see any of the wedding party. Loved the privacy.
we found the staff extremely friendly and helpful. The resturant manager went out of his way to make his feel welcome and we enjoyed chatting to him at breakfast. The food was fantastic, hot toast, fresh tea, and great selection! Even the grounds were amazing, well maintained and lovely to walk around. We met two peacocks one morning.
Lovely modern room Not given information about lifts when we checked in. No mini bar in the room. Mistake made with my bill.
It was very nice and pretty inexpensive a pool would be nice!
the comfort and view of the rooms and friendliness of staff
Loved all of the reception workers. Very friendly staff that helped us find out everything that we needed. The only downside is that the hotel is 40 minutes from the city center, but it's worth it for the comfort of the hotel.
Convenient location, close o luas line and easy access to city centre without driving
friendly staff and level of comfort
courteous staff, spacious rooms, helpful reception and a wicked rib eye steak cooked to perfection
It was very clean and comfortable As above ref breakfast
Nice bathroom, very comfortable bed
Price of Room Location for City, although transport links were good
Comfortable and homely hotel. The restaurant food was top class. The staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again.
Staff were extremely pleasant and helpful, setting and surroundings lovely limited parking facilities
The staff were fantastic. The were polite, helpful and knowledgable. We really enjoyed the surroundings and history of the hotel. The distance from Dublin City Centre
the staff, helpful and friendly
The staff were extremely friendly, hotel was gorgeous
Wonderful courtyard area to sit in both ay and night, staf were all very friendly and helpful.
The food The girl accidently charged money to my room, that we didn't run up. It was from the previous week, but she sorted it out well enough.
Relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff, good food, convenient location: quiet but not far from city.
I liked everything. Great breakfast! The loud music on Friday night when I NEEDED Together up for an early flight.
Ambiance. Lovely location on the river bank. The food and staff were first class and the hotel is located in a charming village. A digital clock in the room would have been useful.
quiet and confortable bedroom Internet was only working in the common parts.
I enjoyed my short stay at the hotel and would use it on my next visit to newbridge no
everything was perfect: staff very friendly, easy to park the car, nice and spacious room and bathroom, reasonable price, I wish i could stay one or two nights more to enjoy
Very basic hotel. Booked a single deluxe. At 3pm room was still not ready so they gave me a different room. However this was not deluxe. Got a room discount rather than waiting any longer. Lovely garden area off bar and restaurant. Overpriced as was staying in quite an old, tired section of the hotel. Noisy corridor. Door did not feel very secure as was staying alone. View over a flat roof....Not so deluxe!
Good sized and well equipped comfortable rooms. Friendly staff, good restaurant (although I only had breakfast there). Plenty of parking, grounds nicely maintained. no
the receptionist very helpful, food good we had a very enjoyable stay, grounds beautiful no
Friendly staff, very helpful. Lovely large very clean rooms. The lounge bar was dusty.
The room was ready and we checked in before the check-in time. I was charged twice on my credit card, which has been a hassle to sort.
Food was very good. We had both bar food and full breakfast! Breakfast was particularly good! No!
Food was wonderful,, both dinner and breakfast, room was great The young women serving breakfast seemed grumpy, it may have been a language thing, but a hello or good morning should be automatic
rooms very spacious, gil on reception fantastic, food good pakng was awkward
I liked everything about the hotel during my stay I had a jeep and horse box and had to take up 5 parking spaces.
The bar/restaurant were very good, and the staff were very helpful in assisting us with any concerns. Our room, 105, was adjacent to the pub's ladies' room and very close to the smoking terrace. This made it quite noisy, as we were there on a weekend night and the pub stayed open until 1 AM.
Nice Staff, simple, clean with good breakfast. Nicer inside the Hotel than you might gauge from the outside
Comfort of the room And friendlieness of the staff. No bottled water in room would have been a nice touch.
Great restaurant Very hard beds
- Staff were friendly - Great location (right across from bus stop to the city. Bus comes every 30mins) - Room and washroom was clean - Great hotel for budget travelers - Be aware bus comes every 1hr on Sunday
The reception service was nice. The room was dirty, the bed had several stains. We asked for a change of room, or, at least, a change of duvet; neither of these changes happened. The room furniture was old. The walls were paper walls, you could hear EVERYTHING which was happening around you.
Location, breakfast. Extremely small room that does not fit double occupation, tiny toilet / bathroom, no space for any staff, no elevator to carry the luggage. It cannot be categorized as a Hotel.
Friendly service, speed of food arriving, comfortable room As a matter of principle I dislike compulsory service charges.
the food in the restuarant was very good with a very varied menu. none.
Thoroughly enjoyed the friendliness and helpful staff and management. Enjoyed the accommodation and comfort. Evening meals in restaurant were excellent.
A lovely spot
excellent hotel with very friendly staff, excellent breakfast, good location, great value. nothing
I was made to feel very welcome, plus, the food and service were excellent. The accommodation landing areas could do with a few pictures on the walls so as to stop it looking prison like.
Big rooms! Not enough hot water.
Very clean staff exellent None
I would not want to stay anywhere else when in Ireland. Staff/owner very friendly. Beautiful rooms. No DVD player
